Wall Street Protest Starting to Look Like Egypt

George Washington's picture

Wall Street Protest Starting to Look Like Tahrir Square, Egypt

Alexander Higgins reports:

NYPD police scanners are estimating a crowd up to 5,000
are occupying liberty square in a scene that is now starting to look
more like Egypt’s Tahrir square.

The protests have become so large that Fox News has set up a live stream covering the protests. Here are some screen shots from their camera.

Here are some additional photographs from a helicopter.

Who Are the Protesters?

Wall Street is trying to write all of these people off as being
“hippies” who “need to get a job” (to which the protesters would
respond: That’s the point – There are no jobs, because Wall Street has destroyed the economy.)

Wall Street Protest Starting to Look Like Egypt.

The poor and the desperate, formerly-middle class people participating in the protests are not taking well to Wall Street’s “Let them eat cake” response.

But all types are marching, including grannies and pilots:

Marines and other military men and women.

Wealthy folks such as Russel Simmons and Alec Baldwin.

Liberals and conservatives.

On the other side of the protest line, Mayor Bloomberg is whining that the protesters are targeting bankers who “are struggling to make ends meet”.
He has a point: if Wall Street is reined in so that the rest of the
country has a chance, the bankers might have to cut back on their mistresses, prostitutes and solid gold toilets.

Class Warfare?

Yes, this is class warfare. But it is class warfare by the 1% against the other 99% (and see this). Specifically, it is the looting of the country by the top .1% through fraud.

As Warren Buffet – one of America’s most successful capitalists and defenders of capitalism – points out:

There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war ….

Leading economists note that rampant inequality was one of the main causes of the Great Depression and of the current economic crisis.

Indeed, given that inequality in America is worse than Egypt (or Tunisia, or Yemen or most Latin American banana republics), and that social mobility is lower in America than in most European countries (and see this), we have been predicting these types of protests for years.

If Wall Street is starting to look like Tahir Square, it is because
America is starting to look more and more like Egypt – with a handful of
super-rich, and crumbs for everyone else.

consider the number of jewish representation in our federal government. How many congressman are jewish? what about the supreme court how many of the justices are jewish? they are all over barry obama's administration, bear in mind they are a minority group making up less than 3% of the population!

The primary group running money and the banks are the Jewish bankers, is that a disputable fact?  The goverment is a crossection of all people not one tribe.  Wake up, they have robbed your future.

Yes, it is highly disputable.  In fact, it is simply wrong.  Jews are overrepresented in finance, but hey are also overrepresented in the medical and legal fields.  This is simply because their society places heavy emphasis on education from an early age.

Look at the boards of the TBTF banks.  Mostly non-Jewish names, like 90% non-Jewish.

Sorry, your ignorant truthy bullshit is out the window.

Yes,,,but no. I wish it were that simple. This is a topic that will raise a storm of controversy. It is true that they suffer as much as the other ethnic groups however they vehemently support all that IS the problem. Talk about Cognitive Dissonance. Talmud vs Torah. Satan vs God. Materialism vs God. Talmudism is Zionism. The Jews that follow the Torah believe in God. The people who follow the Talmud (yes, all my jew friends) do not believe in the afterlife. Its all about money. So we need a great spiritual awakening among the jews that control everything. Maybe, switch to the Torah? Alright, there you have it. This is the mother of mothers of inconvenient truths.

If this deeps growing, at some point TPTB will have to break it up.  Won't be pretty.

But it won't matter.  The Rubicon has been crossed.  This is a precedent.

What TPTB don't yet realize is that this peaceful demonstration foreshadows the widespread insurrectionary "demonstrations" to come.

Next summer the streets will be on fire.

Re That photo of the 3 Cops

Ahhhh yes, New York's Fattest - oops! make that New York's Finest - doing what is does best (when not stuffing donuts down its collective pie-hole):

From Left to right:

a) Standing around looking tough - note the folded arms trying to accentuate the biceps and tough-guy military stance with trademark NYPD mean-looking mug to match. Hey Bucko- try suckin' in that gut some more!

b) Trying to figure-out the sudoku puzzle - from last Sunday's kiddies section of the NY Daily News

c) Just catching few rays- and hoping that some some scantily clad-tourist - the bigger the boobs the better - will ask directions to the Empire State Bldg.

And those last two brainiacs- standing inside the cage and not outside - what are they tryin to do - protect the bull's brass balls? Yes, it is anatomically correct - LOL!!! A fitting metaphor non-the-less and no doubt on direct orders from Hizzoner Barmy Bloomy

I'm sorry folks - but you can't demonise most of the NYPD - they might take a little vigorish on the side (what biz doesn't?) but they're just too plain dumb... deese, dem an' doze types of guys - believe me. I've met a lot of these dopes and wouldnt be surprised if most of 'em think there's a Yankees parade-fest of some sort going on down in the Canyon of Heroes! LOL!

Now that's not to say things can't change - and change fast - if Banksta Buddy Bloomberg get his panties in a knot & decides that not enuf heads are being cracked and starts thinkin' it might be a good idea  to bring in a little - ahemmmm... - "outside help" to get things movin' along. Then, as they say, it's off to the races....

Some astute observations there Frankie,

It looks like these coppers are preoccupied with eating, drinking and protecting the brass balls of crony capitalism rather than serving the public.

I don't think the fence was put there to keep the public out, it was more like a cleverly designed plan to hide some of the serious problems NYPD has; it's employees can not carry their own weight for longer than 3 mins. in a stretch. These fences are put up solely to prop up the BMI of these piggies when needed.

The only thing missing is the DO NOT FEED signs.

Alex Higgins did some excellent work on the string of (not so)natural disasters that have plagued the world in scary sequence this year....but to see him being embedded into this storyline is weird...that was my gut reaction....something's just not right here.

Then it hit me.  Who's missing from the picture? The only one's who could make the whole thing matter.

There's a silent army of disabled vets(Gulf Wars 1&2-Iraq-Afghanistan, chemical weapons, toxic vaccines, DU poisoning) who could fill every street of Manhattan, n then some, an army of  shadows that  drifts voiceless and isolated on the margins of the impending nightmare that is Amerika this moment - if somehow they were brought together, en masse, watchful and waiting - like that army of the dead who mustered in Tolkien's work of  "fiction" - full of vengeful patience, to look upon the inner lair of their betrayers and scornful paymasters, there would be no need of signs, banners, bluster or slogans. I can  guarantee it would be more deadly to the parasitical pharisees of that temple of mammon than a dozen "hijacked aircraft" flown by a brigade of AlCiada trained boxcutter bozos and leave a piece of crap like Anthony Bologna looking for the nearest sewer manhole to crawl into.

Looking into the eyes of the true witnesses to Desolation Row would be truly the ONLY THING that (maybe) could wake Merikans up before the path back gets buried forever  by another Wall Street/Obomber 'Jobs Creation' psyop. Their shameful use as the sacrificial victims to soak up Imperial  Amerika's 'Bad Karma' problem is the only story the 'alternative media' don't carry...

Cut the Tahrir 2.0 contrived media spectacle bullshit George, n pray those boys come out of the shadows to represent you.  It's your only hope.

The core demonstrators are trying to put together a coherent effort but there are still way too many 'distractions' - off message people.  Was there today for some time and the Park was full of a very mixed bag of people - many of whom you really did NOT want the media covering.

BUT this effort HAS served as a catalyst - with labor unions and others joining in and increased coverage leading to efforts elsewhere, this may actually turn into something.  They need a simple coherent message - perhaps the 99% meme will work - or something like 'Trillions for Wall Street, pennies for Main Street."  They need to 'connect' with the 'majority' in America who HAVE been royally screwed over but then again, so many people havbe been screwed over perhaps they only need some kind of opportunity to go out and show how po'd they are.   The growing number of planned demopnstrations all over the nation may just do that.

The biggest problem is that - politically - BOTH the Dems and Repubs are owned lock stock and barrel BY Wall Street.   Who represents Main Street in the corridors of power?

"perhaps the 99% meme will work"

In its simplest form that is the truth. "Globalization" is the top 1% engaged in an economic war with the 99%. Traditional left-right divisions are at least temporarily out of date as almost all the current politicians are bought and paid for.

I don't know why some people are bitching about the lack of coherence or unified agenda of the protesters.  This is mostly a grass roots thing, like the "Arab Spring" protests which were a spontaneous reaction of the people.

Watch for leaders wth vigilance. There should be no leaders. Everyone is the leader. So don't listen to, let's say, a celebrity that shows up and takes the reigns. It's okay if they encourage the protesters but if they are truly for Liberty they will empower everyone around themselves as leaders. Every individual is a supreme being with no master!

Concerning.

Among the pics, one can see one blond haired guy (among all the demonstrators, thousand of them)

Cops, in spite of their short hair, display at least one blond hair guy.

What do US citizens do of this? People looking for jobs are mostly dark hair people while people in charge of policing them shows people of blond hair in far greater percentage.

We need some moms with kids in strollers! 20 or so. Then have them get rowdy enough to be kettled. Capture event on camera and watch it go viral on youtube. hmmmm? New York's finest kettles Stroller Pushing Mommies. Actually I think the NYPD is hating life about now. They remember how Bloomberg treated their brothers, the 9/11 First Responders. They were not allowed to attend the 10-yr anniversary memorial service. Because....they broke silence and talked about the LOUD explosions they heard before the towers came down. So there is some serious denial going on down there in the streets. Those cops are really on the protesters side. ??? just sayin. Interesting times.

edit- maybe the purpose of the police cameramen is to make sure the cops "do their job" as well as record arrests. Maybe without that camera the cops would "look the other way" a whole lot more.
