Would You Support an Iran War If …

George Washington's picture

Would you support a war against Iran if you knew that:

  • The CIA admits that the U.S. overthrew the moderate, suit-and-tie-wearing, Democratically-elected prime minister of Iran in 1953. He was overthrown because he had nationalized Iran's oil, which had previously been controlled by BP and other Western oil companies. As part of that action, the CIA admits that it hired Iranians to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its prime minister
  • If the U.S. hadn't overthrown the moderate Iranian government, the fundamentalist Mullahs would have never taken over. (Moreover, the U.S. has had a large hand in strengthening radical Islam in the Middle East by supporting radicals to fight the Soviets and others)
  • The U.S. armed and supported Iraq after it invaded Iran and engaged in a long, bloody war which included the use of chemical weapons. Here is former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld meeting with Saddam Hussein in the 1980's, several months after Saddam had used chemical weapons in a massacre:

  • The U.S. helped fund Iran's nuclear program

  • The U.S. has been actively planning regime change in Iran - and throughout the oil-rich Middle East and North Africa - for 20 years
  • The decision to threaten to bomb Iran was made before 9/11
  • Top American and Israeli military and intelligence officials say that - even if Iran did build a nuclear bomb - it would not be that dangerous, because Israel and America have so many more nukes. And see this
  • The people pushing for war against Iran are the same people who pushed for war against Iraq, and said it would be a "cakewalk". See this and this

Yo, yo, don't forget all those battle groups of nuclear aircraft carriers and missile frigates sitting smack right off our shores, dude!

I mean, who enjoys looking at that plus all those drones and manned aircraft invading our airspace everyday?

those are good reasons too. I thought of another one:

7.  We have almost completed the military encirclement of Russia and China. Just a couple of countries too go and the job will be done. It would be foolish to stop when we are so close to completing the job.

That's not good. If Jesus come tomorrow, I'm not sure I'm going to heaven. I need more time to get my affairs in order. But then again, when I look at the millions of bloodthirsty warmongering morons anxious to kill and main more Muslim women and babies - I think there's a very long list of bad people that Jesus will be busy processing to hell before he ever gets to me. By comparison , i may look good. I may very well slip by.

Jesus had a better beard. And a full head of hair. Apparently acting as the head of the Fed is more stressful than being the savior of mankind.

Are you quoting Sura 5:51 here? ;-)

/////////////////////

Oh goody, a junk.

“O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he among you that turns to them for friendship is of them"

Very peaceful, I can almost smell the jasmine & honeysuckle now.

I've searched in vain for a comparable passage in buddhist, christian, taoist etc. texts and can't seem to come up with one.

Little help please ;-)

I suppose you'll never know if you won't listen to or read it.  I'm not here to spoon feed you.  You were making a general diatribe against one religion, and asked for some help, so I was being a good Samaritan (metaphorically ... I'm not a joo either) and provided it.

I think I already have a good idea what to expect and I can dig up thousands of pages of agenda driven if I desired.

The christian crusades began 400 years after Muhammads death. He had no reason to despise them or fear them. However, strangely, the jooos & christians are specifically mentioned as his adversaries in a text compiled by him (Muhammad).

I suggest you spend some time reading up on him and what he began. He was quite the bloodthirsty SOB born of pagans.

And with both know the principle of Al Takeyya in Islam, where it's perfectly acceptable for a "believer" to lie to an "infidel", so how would an outsider even begin to have a conversation such people?

But as you say, I'm not here to spoon feed anyone ;-)

Ok, but nevertheless that Link provides a great deal of detail on the Jewish religion and its flavor and core impetus.

It seems to me (I've noticed) you have a particular desire to not wish to acknowledge such, and play devil's advocate in such discussion to generate some 'balance'.

That just seems to be your gig, I have no problem with that, you seem a genuine person, but in the name of such 'balance', listen to those .mp3 files, and get better balanced yourself (although I know you are not ignorant of it all).

I'm well aware of the Islamic side of this, I know what they are, how some of them behave, and I have seen the 'Christian' side, up close.

Plus I live beside the largest Islamic population on Earth, and they are for the most part good neighbours, respectful and friendly.

I doubt Israel's neighbours would say the same.

And that is the acid test, my friend.

They've always hated the jooos. And obviously since it's very inception they feel the same way about christians.

Now, I asked about any other "religion" sharing the same vibe about any other.

Come up with anything yet?

So you say. But why did Jews and Muslims get on OK in Palestine before the Zionist European invasion in the last century? As far as war like religious, perhaps you should read the old testament or the Talmud. Then of course those nasty little episodes known as the Crusades. Or, how about a couple thousand years of Christian on Christian warefare? Or maybe the destruction and genocide of native populations in north and south America by erstwhile Christians?

seems general marshall thought it would produce endless cycles of war in the mideast.  hmmm.

on the bright side truman did help desegregate the u.s. armed forces.

God supposedly told the Jews to kill every living thing in "the promised land" and take it for their own. Later God supposedly told Romans, Byzantines, Franks, Spaniards, Englishmen and Americans to do the same thing in their own spheres. God supposedly continues to tell many American politicians the same thing today. So why's it such a big deal if supposedly he told Muslims the same thing?

What's that quote about the speck in your neighbor's eye and the beam in your own eye?

"So why's it such a big deal if supposedly he told Muslims the same thing?"

Well obviously it would be a big deal and have potential personal impact if one were a Jew or Christian, wouldn't it? It specifically calls them out does it not?

Am I advocating for an invasion of Iran? Of course not.

Just because atheists sit around sage-like,scratching their beards, convinced that they alone have figured out the mysteries of the universe and have formed their own belief systems around that conviction...does not mean that texts cannot be expanded on to include them.

In fact, with the jizya, it does.

Yup, the original ethnic cleansers ... then blamed it all on God! ... and it would have been all wrong not to follow God's Word.

But it's ok anyway as the original inhabitants were given over to every form of urban wickedness and american idol worship ... very sick shit! ... so they didn't deserve to live anyway.

God knows best. ;-)

Let these text book ploys sink in:

  1. Religions just like insurance companies capitalize on human fear. (burning in hell and betting against yourself)
  2. Governments use fear to take away freedoms. (boogie man syndrome)
  3. Divide and conquer. (class warfare)
  4. Broke governments steal resources and wealth (gold and oil) from other countries to cover their failure (Egypt and Lybia recently)
  5. Goldman Sacks uses all of the above and has co-opted practically everyone on the planet who has position of power and blind ambition.

Solutions to the above? None (The combined IQ of humanity is constant. Unfortunately however, the population is growing.)

Periodic revolutions slows them down a bit. We do need one now.

"George",

Regarding your statement about the Jewish population of Iran...

Your Wikipedia link shows a Jewish population in Iran of only 10,400 people;  which is only 0.1% of the world's Jewish population and only 0.2% of Iran's population.

Nevertheless, I still support your effort to educate us.   You do, at least, provide us with links to the information behind your conclusions.

Meanwhile,

For anyone researching the 1953 coup, it's name has sometimes been referred to as "Operation Ajax".   It was done more or less at the request of the "Anglo-Iranian" (aka "Anglo-Persian") oil company - which has now become...  <drum roll, please> ... BP (British Petroleum).

Gee Dave, when I was a young man living in Florida our State had capital punishment for rape. Hard to know what the truth is in any sovereign nation on such a provincial matter.

Iran state media put out a stunning report Saturday claiming that imprisoned Christian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is facing the death sentence for rape and extortion, not for apostasy and refusing to renounce his religion, as his lawyer, human rights groups and Western news media have reported.

"His crime is not, as some claim, converting others to Christianity," the deputy governor of the Gilan province, Gholomali Rezvani, told Fars, the semi-official state news agency.

Both of my 10 and 16 year old kids confirmed to me that George Washington's birthday was not even mentioned in school today. I walked in on my 10 year old daughter while she was watching a TV program about Charles manson (Famous Hollywood Murders program") and my son 16 year old was busy reading Ellie  (The Weasel") Weisel's "Night" getting ready for a quiz tommorrow in his Holocaust studies class.

No one ever "killed more islam." You might have better success in your intellectual life if you learned the proper terminology for the debates in which you engage yourself.

Once you learn proper English perhaps you'll crack a book and learn something worthwhile. But to make a sincere effort it would be best if you'd turn off Glee and Dancing with the Stars first.
