Quote Of The Day: Iran > US, EU

Tyler Durden's picture

Today's quote of the day award goes to...

  • AHMADINEJAD SAYS SITUATION IN IRAN `NOT SO DIRE'
  • AHMADINEJAD SAYS IRAN ECONOMY `CERTAINLY BETTER' THAN U.S., EU

The irony of course is that absent the trillions in fiat created out of thin air by the "developed world's" central banks, and the destruction of the purchasing power of their populations, he would be absolutely right. The bigger irony is that the Iran is by far winning the global race to debase, with its currency hitting a new record low of 26,500 vs the USD just yesterday, and has lost more than half of its value in the past year. Needless to say, Iran's epic ability to destroy its currency with such utter disdain is making central bankers around the world green with envy.

IRAN ECONOMY `CERTAINLY BETTER' THAN U.S., EU

The truth is that Iran is actually the rich country who inherited natural wealth....namely oil.

but US elites maintains control by fooling everyone that "hard work pays" so they need to have countries like Iran low in the world order no matter how high the crude prices are and how mismanaged US economy is.

You need social order to have people work hard. If you tell your workers that it is all luck to become rich, then who is going to work hard? You tell people, work hard and get a medical license then you will enjoy certain amount of money although free market says that that kind of profit privilege should erode away with technology, productivity, and competition. This comes at a cost to some janitor who may be the best janitor in the world. but social order dictates that best janitor < worst doctor in order to encourage talents to funnel through medical school.

liberalism changes the order. Best rapper says, his entertainment value is greater than what social structure dictates and on free market earns more than a doctor with multiple law suits on file. It is up to the elite social architects to say how much of talents should be allocated to rapping versus medical services by setting the rules of the game. When one gets too big, elites comes in and put you back into place where they think you belong.

So the ultimate goal is to become this social architect ....someone above the law of the game of life. but watch out when they come after you. They will label you an enemy and find justification to get rid of you.

Iranian officers reshape Assad’s Shabbiha militia into a second al-Qods

September 26, 2012

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has leapt into the Syrian battle arena, undertaking the task of transforming the Alawite Shabbiha militia, which has carried the brunt of Bashar Assad’s brutal suppression of the Syrian opposition for 18 months, into a new corps, retrained and reorganized on the model of the elite Al Qods Brigade.
Al Qods is the IRGC’s arm of clandestine and terrorist operations in Iran's foreign arenas.

Military sources report exclusively that when the Shabbiha is slapped into its new military shape, Bashar Assad will have at his disposal an extra 50-60,000 professional Alawite soldiers under arms – the nucleus of a Syrian Revolutionary Guards Corps.

The sources also reveal that Tehran has promised the Syrian outfit weaponry on a par with the Al Qods arsenal. So, unless he is overthrown in the interim, the Syrian ruler and Iranian government will command the biggest special operations force in the Middle East.

For this project, a massive Iranian airlift of personnel and weapons is running daily from IRGC air bases in Iran into Syria. Most of the planes land at Damascus military airfield; some in other parts of Syria. They are carrying large numbers of IRGC and al Qods military officers and instructors, as well as enough arms to distribute to the Shabbiha combatants during their training and after they go out on field operations.

The military sources disclose that by mid-week, the number of Iranian military personnel present in Syria had swelled to 2,200. They arrived with the commander of Tehran’s Syrian enterprise, Gen. Ibrahim Hamadani, one of the deputies of Al Qods chief, Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

All US efforts, including personal intercession by President Barack Obama, have failed to dissuade Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki from allowing the Iranian military air corridor to Syria take a short cut through Iraqi air space. Maliki has refused to listen. [Well, well. I thought America won in Iraq.]

Tehran’s willingness in these tense times to hazard the withdrawal of thousands of crack officers, commanders and weapons from combat duty in Iran attests to two conclusions reached by Iranian strategists:
1. They estimate that the United States and Israel have shelved plans for an imminent military strike on Iran’s nuclear program.

2. And if a surprise attack is nonetheless launched, thousands of Iranian elite troops will be on hand to menace Israel from the Syrian border without delay.

PS
Looks like Israel now has special forces from Iran on its own boarder. I love to see the fight. Netanyahu can end up as Qaddafi.

A military/political block of ~100 millions Iranians, 35 millions Iraqis, and 35 millions Syrians looks impressive to me. Well, the USA, NATO, and Israel are about to meet a nightmare our corrupt zionist leaders never dreamed about. OK, Romney can handle it. I have full confidence in both Obama and Romney and their zionist masters.

Well, it's obvious the Iranians want nuclear weapons -plain and simple. Just as it was obvious in the 1930s that Germany was re-militarizing at alarming speed.

The question is motive. Why do they want them?? What conclusions can we draw based on what their leaders have said. I don't care if the leaders rule by force over the people, they still have the reigns. Personally, I think they are looking for. war. But there are many jew haters on here who want to see Israel attacked.

So junk me ya Jew haters.

This has nothing to do with Jews or Muslims.  It's all about oil and the Chinese.  Get your heads out of your asses and wake up.

US has oil too and can make a lot of money just pumping out oil from Alaska. But they don't care about that. US has money...can print money on demand. Richest fucker on the block doesn't care about more money...but they care about power over others.

US elites care about not having control over Iran's oil. because rich Iran = rich middle east = money to criticize and compete against American oligrachy.

We EXPORT 28% of our REFINED gasoline, not Crude, but the ready to run and pump stuff, to to other countires NOW.

don't look at oil for profit or our domestic consumption but as petrodollar system and control of global commerce.

iraq?  ...US was ok until sadaam started to trade oil in Euros

libya? ....US was ok until Gaddafi started pan -african gold backed currency movement

iran?.....US was ok until new bourse was operating to trade oil in diversified currencies

US doesn't invade for oil....US invades when oil is not traded in dollars.

essentially dollar is backed by oil and elites can't have any other because their assets are dollar denominated.

US is interested in 3 things for global domination: Currency (to control economy), Oil (to control commerce), Food (to control people)....tools are media (soft influence) and military (hard power)

Who the fuck cares if Jews are aloud to have their own small country in the region they came from? Do you begrudge them that? Israel hasn't been around very long and hasn't started any wars. Iran has been equipping and aiding terrorists around the world since they overthrew the Shah.

This is going to be fun!!!

Where the fuck does the nuke question even fit in here?? BTW, Iran is building POWER STATIONS. Did-ya get that? I'll repeat it, POWER STATIONS. They have every right to have them and they have played by ALL the rules as far as inspections go. Now to their desire to have nuke weapons..... THEY SURE THE FUCK "DO" HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE NUKES! I sure as hell would want them, knowing that most evil of countries, Israel is gunning for them and everybody else in the whole region. It won't be an Iranian making that decision to "push the button." It'll be a jew. Lose a fist fight, run inside and grab a gun, shoot your opponent. Yep..... that's they way it works over there.

It seems to me that jews were "placed" there after WWII. And really....does the blood line actually run back to Abraham? Maybe, just maybe the actual blood line runs back to eastern Turkey which would be an entire different group of folks altogether. So, do the jews REALLY belong in Palestine? Well....... they have certainly made that land their own by pretty much murdering the people who DO belong there.

Iran has what??????? Brainwashing doesn't work here boy. I pretty much give that award to Israel. How much death around the whole world can be attributed to them. If our media wasn't controlled. We really WOULD know and Israel would be no more.

I don't really think they destroy themselves, they are destoyed. Why? Because Jew hating is part of Christianity. Actually, it is rooted in it based on the presumption that "the Jews killed our saviour Jesus Crhist" (it were the Romans that did the actual killing however). Martin Luther was an anti-semite and so was Calvin. During WWII many mainly Catholic but also Protestant and Orthodox priest raised their right arm and actively participated in the persecution of Jews. Also the grand mufti of Jerusalem participated as well as muslem militias in Bosnia. The pope never spoke out against the persecuation of Jews and the Catholic church was very instrumental in letting Nazis escape to Latin America. The world apparently needs a scapegoat. Religion caused nothing but trouble to the world.

I'll let you in on a revelation into the psychology of being Jewish - Jews tend to *thrive* when they are hated/reviled.

Their identity as a people is strengthened (against them goyim) and it keeps their minds sharp overcoming obstacles - if there are no obstacles, well, why not create some to keep things lively!

I'm convinced Jews actually go out of their way and tend to set up situations which will lead to them being hated/reviled. In simplistic terms, "they are their own worse enemy" but the dynamics are much more complex than that...

I am not jewish but have known a fair number of Jews (a number of whom I deeply respect), and have heard this from many of them...

Why the down arrows?,if Israel gets cornered, they will use their own, and with approx 10 million population, surrounded by 1.2 billion Arabs, and Persians who want them gone do not assume they will not do whatever it takes to eliminate that threat.

I don't understand people like you who seem to like Israel so much. It's like the monster of Frankenstein, it's an abomination and shouldn't exist. They still cry about the holocaust (which was horrible btw), yet do the same to the Palestinians. They threaten peaceful countries like Iran with destruction, while claiming it's the opposite. Israel is a problem and the world would be better off without it. Any person who's not a sock puppet or a brainwashed tool understands this.

You cannot really compare the holocaust with what is happening to the Palestinians. The scale and the horror are not of the same magnitude. The Palestinians btw. all voted for Hamas instead of Fatah. Hamas declared war on Israel so effectively Israel is at war with the Palestinians. For years Hamas has fired rockets into Israel. I don't think that the US for instance would accept if Mexico would do that. We all know that the US revenge would be very bloody.

To be fair to Iran, being cut off from the dollar system - which I told decision makers there earlier this year was the best thing that could happen to them - has pulled the rug from under the Riyal.

So they'll have to base the Riyal on something else.   I'm sure the consensus here on ZH will be gold, but my recommendation was an Energy Standard.

Wed, 09/26/2012 - 18:32 | 2833876 honestann

You make the mistake of thinking "transparency" is everything.  But transparency isn't even close to being everything.  After exploring the world for better places to live (and moving to one of them 3 years ago), I found the following.  In the world of today, every government is terminally corrupt.  Sure, some less egregiously than others, but for practical purposes, all governments today are simply predators-gone-wild.

What actually matters most is... well... not obvious.  It took me most of 5 years exploring different parts of the world before the patterns finally became obvious to me.  And the results were a bit shocking at first, yet perfectly sensible after further thought.

-----

The first (and perhaps most important) observation is: do not live where you are citizen.  At this point in history, essentially if not literally every predator-DBA-government in the world considers:

#1:  citizens to be their slaves
#2:  visitors as welcome spenders into their economy

Thus visitors are treated more like guests, while citizens are treated like cows to be milked for life, then sent to McDonalds to be eaten for lunch.

-----

Perhaps next most important is this.  You want to live in the extreme boonies.  Even if you decide to live in the USSA or other western crony kleptocracy, become self-sufficient and stay as far away from populated areas as you can.  This favors all countries that have large expanses of utterly empty land (or as close as possible to utterly empty).  And if that land is mountainous and geologically wild-and-crazy, all the better, because that makes it virtually impossible to find or track people, even if they wanted to.

-----

Next most important is the nature of the predators-DBA-government.  This may be the most counter-intuitive of all parts.  You do not want to live in a country that has the most liberty or individualism on paper (constitution or laws).  That hardly matters at all at this point in history.  In fact, this is a gigantic head-fake for everyone who falls for the head-fake and hangs around in predators-gone-wild-land with a sense of security, like those pieces of paper will somehow protect them.

The best places to be are where the government is super tiny because it is broke, and where the government is obsessed with some part of "everything".  One very effective example of this is a poorish country in which some complete wacko-case you declares himself king... then proceeds to spend all his time, effort and focus on other wackos who want to screw him up and perhaps overthrow him.  That's just perfect... IF... you are smart enough to stay far away from the capital city where all this activity naturally happens.  Stay far away from the seat (or seats) of power, and don't go out of your way to make trouble.  If you do, you'll be fine.  Better than fine.  And vastly better off than anywhere in the USSA.  In these countries the cops (and the whole "government") is like the keystone cops --- completely clueless, incompetent, and mostly just happy to be collecting a paycheck.  A great example of this kind of place is Fiji, where you can live on any of the 300 outlying islands and effectively be completely out of sight, out of mind, and out in the crystal clear water snorkeling through live coral reefs with tropical fish.  And guess what?  They have no property tax.  Ding, ding, ding!

-----

So don't be so focused on one thing... transparency.  Frankly, I think all governments on earth are 100% transparent in the way that counts.  What I mean is, it is transparently obvious that they don't follow ANY laws or ANY ethics and they will do ANY thing they wish.  As long as that is the case, transparency is irrelevant, but being far away from their attention span is quite relevant.  And that's the key, isn't it?

And I agree 100%, because I AM one of those SO called citizens, and I see daily the Visitors, who spend nothing get treated better than Citizens.

So, this is no secret to some here.

Actually it's damn near impossible to do so legally for the average person, even if you are willing to accept a significant decrease in standard of living.  Crossing boarders - easy peasy.  Gaining the legal right to work in your new home - good luck.  Opening a financial account - the IRS has made the US citizen the new leper.

Fri, 09/28/2012 - 19:40 | 2833824 honestann
honestann's picture

But you can do it, and it is more worth it than you realize.  I escaped 3 years ago, and only get happier as time passes.  Yes, I admit that I was in a modestly better position to escape than most people, not having been suckered into the housing bubble-bust or extravagant living via debt.  Nonetheless, it is better to escape, hands down.  That is, unless you escape to somewhere stupid, like GB, EU... or North Korea!

PS:  You don't need a bank.  And you don't want a bank.  If you can't understand it is stupid to sanction, support and trust your assets to the most vile, evil, criminal scumbags on planet earth, then you really can't look out for yourself... in the USSA or anywhere else.  Honestly, if you can't see it is smarter and better to hold all your assets in real, physical gold, silver, platinum and other real, physical goods (where only you know they are hidden), then you might as well get used to being a slave, because you're not fit to take care of yourself.

PS:  If you want to have bank and credit card with only a few hundred bucks balance, that's still not smart, but at least they can't steal you blind or easily track your cash transactions.  And you're not supporting their evil schemes by very much.  But still, it is best to avoid having a bank account anywhere, most especially not in the country you live.

The standard procedure is the takeover of invaded nation's central bank, installation of invading nation's corporations, supply of local market by invading nation's corporations, usurpation of invaded nation's resources for exportation by invading nation's corporations.

And in the case of Iran, it will be the second time this is happening, with the difference, of a present-time added bonus, that is the complete geopolitical dominance of Middle East, by US-influenced states, and the increased pressure on Russia by NATO vassals.

Outside of a relative handful of sociopaths, "people" generally do not decide to "start shooting each other" --- it is governments which make that decision.  And in the case of the Civil War, it was manifestly the traitor and tyrant Lincoln who made the decision to start a war, instead of letting the South peacefully secede as they wished and had every right to do.  So fuck Lincoln, and fuck you too.

SmackD,

The only reason the North won was industrialization, and the EP (used strictly for PC purposes),and like I said the knowledge the South was going to win, if Abe had not used that PC trump card, this country and it's values and mores , and it's Constitution and BOR's would still be basically intact.

Talk to anyone almost that was raised in the north, and has come here for extended visits, or moved here............90% would never go back.

You grossly oversimplify, only point at one aspect of reality and human nature, and pretend other aspects don't exist.  That is intentionally disingenuous.

To be sure, mankind was almost entirely violent and brutish... if you go back far enough (perhaps 20,000+ years).  At that point in history, the modus-operandi of mankind was indeed almost entirely that of predator, which is indeed violent and brutish.

But the fundamental story (and history) of mankind is the story of predator versus producer.  This bifurcated nature of mankind probably began when some observant doofus noticed that fruit he burried for later retrieval grew into fruit trees --- fruit trees that contained vastly more fruit than he burried.  He became the first human to become primarily a producer, not predator.  He explained his discovery (production) to others, who recognized the many advantages of this modus-operandi... and adopted it.

Given the adundance of food these producers created, the human population of earth exploded... by hundreds, then thousands, then millions of times --- far beyond the population that could be supported by the natural processes of earth.

Though many humans gave up their predator ways and adopted the vastly superior modus-operandi of producer, not every human did.

Today, predators still exist.  They are:
 - predators-DBA-government
 - predators-DBA-corporations
 - predators-DBA-central-banks
 - predators-DBA-organizations (of various kinds)

And, of course, common criminals who rob neighborhood markets and banks.

To claim that humans are inherently predatory is wrong.  Every human has a choice, and many choose producer.  Unfortunately, the predators have taken control of every government, every large corporation, every central bank and every large organization at this point in history.  Question: What should humans expect when they create, sanction and support blatantly insane fictions with astronomical powers?  Answer: Those who are the most vile, evil, vicious predators will stop at nothing to gain control of those fictions.  And so they have.

But this does not mean humans are inherently violent and brutish.  A very large minority if not a modest majority would rather be producers.  Why?  Because left alone, humans who live by production live a vastly better life than those who live by violence and brutish destruction (the predators).  However, today we have a completely insane, completely artificial, completely unworkable (and therefore temporary) situation.  Increasingly the fruits of producers labors are misdirected into the hands of predators.  Therefore, the incentive to be a producer is falling, and falling quickly.

As a result, some producers decided to "join the [currently] winning team" and become predators themselves.  Other producers decided to evade [as best they can] the scams erected by the predators to enslave them and bleed them dry.  Other producers decided to "give up" and collect foodstamps and welfare until the system collapses (sometimes under the premise they are helping exhaust and destroy the predator system).

But the notion that "the natural state of mankind is violent and brutish" is WRONG.

That is NOT the natural state of mankind, and in fact, it cannot work in the long run, because the natural processes of earth do not produce sufficient goods to support the survival of mankind in anything remotely like its current numbers.  At least 99.9999% of mankind must perish for man to return to a predator modus-operandi.

No, the natural state of man is to CHOOSE.

You and many others may choose to be violent and brutish.  Yes indeed.  But you won't ever convince those of us who understand the nature of man to become like you.  It is not our nature, because we CHOOSE so.

In the end, those of us who choose to be honest and produce will leave this planet.  Or if predators destroy everything first, man will cease to exist.  That's their modus-operandi, and indeed, they might succeed.  Let's just hope we leave before predators destroy everyone on this planet.

Let me guess: in your eyes, Lincoln was a "hero" who "saved the Union" and "abolished slavery", right?

The war of Northern aggression, is EXACTLY why we are screwed today as a nation. It was started over staes rights............pure and simple.

If the South had won, slavery would have been eventually doen away with, but we would still be the America the founders intended.

It these state's rights idiots that I'm referring to.  We can all agree that certain human rights trump state rights, correct.  You cant be against 'federal' oppression but in favor or 'state' oppression.

Also a 70 year note left over from the American Revolutionary War owed to England which the Republic could not pay. It seems King George loaned money to the rebels fighting his own troops! The 8 southern states balked and walked out of Congress when told they had to ante up their public lands to secure additional funding, as the public lands of the original 13 colonies were already pledged to secure the original note.

Seems people always fight over money, the root of all evil.
