Obama Contract Slides On InTrade

Tyler Durden's picture

The first debate is still in progress, but the habitual gamblers who have a compulsion to bet all the time 24/7 on event outcomes have already spoken via their favorite venue InTrade, and the initial reaction is not favorable for the incumbent. Having traded over 70 for nearly two weeks, the "Obama for president" contract flash crashed below 70 promptly for the first time in many days, and has slid 8% in the past few minutes. Naturally, the contract has quite a bit to go until parity. On the other hand it does bear remembering that when it comes to predictive capacity InTrade odds are notoriously bad: just recall the Obamacare gamble when virtually everyone on InTrade was certain it would not pass. All that said, at least according to InTrade it appears that the first presidential debate has not gone quite as the current president might have planned.

Anyone expressing interest in this kabuki theater of a "debate" that is a manifestation of the false left-right paradigm & illusion of choice system of duly appointed puppets, with both Rs and Ds working for the exact same institutions (that does not include the American Citizenry), is merely adding support to the game.

It's all horseshit. Whoever wins the election will inevitably ensure that the American People continue to lose.

Neither one are the murderers that our apathy is.

We are the murderers as well because we continue to go to work

Remember 71% believe Iran has nuke weaponry, no matter what the fact may be and

60% are eager for war with Iran

Yep, vote or don't vote

no difference, but don't go to work for a month

means no war and no murderers except the machine's

I've never been one of them          om

If there was another candidate he would have been invited to the debate. There is 0% whatever libertarian or freedom minded person that is running will be elected no matter how many people vote for him. No matter how many people agree with his ideas or policies. No matter how much whatever fuck head he is running against proves to be stupid or fascist or corrupt. The rulers have decided who they find acceptable and all the good idiots out there will pick one whenever it's time to vote. And the next 4 years will bring more executive orders, tighter leashes on the people, a dollar that buys less, more debt, more young men and women dead in wars on the other side of the world fighting so rich people can be richer, and another 6 shitty apple products that stupid fucks wait in line to buy for some reason that no rational person can understand.

How the fuck do I bet on this happening at Intrade?

Um ... executive orders?

Teddy Roosevelt 3

Between Teddy to FDR NONE

FDR 11 in 16 years

Truman 5 in 7 years

Ike 2 in 8 years

Kennedy 4 in 3 years

LBJ 4 in 5 years

Nixon 1 in 6 years

Ford 3 in 2 years

Carter 3 in 4 years

Reagan 5 in 8 years

Bush 3 in 4 years

Clinton 15 in 8 years

George W. Bush 62 in 8 years

Obama 923 in 3 1/2 years

Actually, I see obama in a class by himself.

And, oh, what were those executive orders? Well, here's a sample:

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990 allows the government to take over all modes of
transportation and control of highways and seaports.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 allows the government to seize and control the
communication media.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical power,
gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 allows the government to take over all food resources and

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work
brigades under government supervision.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 allows the government to take over all health, education
and welfare functions.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 designates the of all persons. Postmaster General to
operate a national registration

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 allows the government to
take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate
communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be
abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland
waterways and public storage facilities.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal
departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued
over a fifteen year period.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency
Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in
times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce
the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to
establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate
penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.

-EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to
develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and
distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money
in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also
provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress
cannot review the action for six months.

Yup. Shit storm coming for sure.

Regarding Obama, his pick of Timmay "by, of and for the banks" Geithner as Treasury Secretary & his re-nomination of Ben "I'll QE to the world's eyes bleed" Bernanke as Fed Head, along with the eleventy trillion in free fiatski spilled upon Wall Street's lap, one can see why Wall Street feels it needs to extract revenge upon him.

What could Romney possibly give Wall Street that Obama hasn't already? I suppose he could just give them the keys to the White House, along with nuclear launch codes, and do his best to ensure it geta an even more dominant role in the massively growing volume of fiat that is printed (to debase living standards) by Geithner/Bernanke, and then just go on vacation.

It's truly incredible; the extent of the rot, and moreover, how open and obvious the rot and CAUSE of the rot is, yet tens of millions of voting aged adults are absolutely blind to it all.

If an average American can't see how hopeless this country's situation is given the DEEPLY CAPTURED politicians and regulators who are constantly and actively working against their interests, they deserve the criminals they vote for.

This was a game changer.  Romney was channeling Reagan.  Obama looked like he was ill.  Obama was simply AWFUL.  The most important thing said tonight was said by Romney: that he would not cut defense spending, and that he would increase it.

THAT is what people wanted to hear.  We can't agree on social policy, so we channel it through the military.  Dramatic increases in defense spending is what won it for Reagan, and it's what will win it for Romney.

God!  Obama was simply AWFUL.  I can't believe it.  He should fire whoever prepped him.  I just cannot fathom how he could do so badly, when Romney is such a dolt.

But you'll see it in the polls.  Obama will sink badly.  As long as Romney keeps channeling Reagan, he will win easily.  Watch him keep talking up increases in defense spending.  That will win it for him.

And do you really think Oboma was awful because he was awful? My read on it is that Oboma thinks Romney is not worth his time and is insulted he even has to get on the stage with him. And lest you forget, until 30 years ago, so in Oboma's adult lifetime, Mormons would not allow a black man to become a Mormon priest, and even their 12 year-old boys can become priests...ya think Oboma really lost? Not me. Oboma just knows he can take down Romney and is insulted by being paired up with him.

You've got to know that Romney has all kinds of dirt hidden away, and Oboma has to know what that dirt is. The question is: Does Oboma want to bother to be President for the next four years? There is lots to be done and since he has now been president, he will get all the gratuities (high paying speaking engagements, write books) anyways. Romney doesn't care about being president; he just wants the title. Kinda like when he was "governor" of Massachusetts but out of the state physically for 2 or the 4 years.
