50-Day Moving-Average SNAAPL

Tyler Durden's picture

AAPL is down 1.5% and once again testing its 50DMA. Now trading the range of Tuesday's closing ramp-fest and below its closing VWAP... BTFD?

The red-line is the day's VWAP. The colored horizontal lines correspond to recent closing VWAPs. The lower pane is volume.

Interestingly we haven't seen a 50DMA retest so quickly after a previous test in around 18 months. Volume is also well above average run-rate for this time of day.

As a reminder of your patriotic duty...

Seeing volume now.  But I think I will pass on a BTFD for now.  Maybe wait until 3:00 pm  ;-)

My sister gave a Crapple somethign or the other 2 years ago. I powered it on twice.

Collecting dust since.

Vile products. Pathetic engineering. Core faulty design. POS.

Apples contain the highest amount of pesticide in all fruits.

Just sayin..

Renewable Life's picture

Apple talk....... Yawnnnnnnnn

But on another more interesting note, did anyone watch the post debate citizen groups that fox and CNN did???

I laughed so hard I almost pissed myself, because in both groups there where 4-5 people who where fucking obese, like 150+ overweight, and al be damned if those bitchez weren't the loudest big mouths about how we needed more "personal responsibility" in our lives and "fiscal discipline" and they loved Mitty's message!!!!! The fucking visual of it was just startling and so America these days, and some other dumbfuck said he loved Mitty for talking about getting big government out of our lives, because he's pissed off that Obama has already started cutting things in Medicare that he was promised would always be there!!!!!!!

Thank god I was drunk already from having drank everytime either one of them said the word "taxes"!!!!!

malikai's picture

Heh. I didn't play the game because I need my liver sometimes.

I agree with those people. We need more personal responsibility. Let's start with Romney and his involvement with the Death Squads. Then we can work on Ryan and his involvement with the NDAA, Patriot Act, Medicare Part D, and others..

Finally, let's finish the day working on the American people and our wilful continuance of a corrupt and unjust social and economic system.

crapple is only needed for bad days in the broad index(see wed) when the shermans start closing in they bring out the 88s to counter.

Simultaneous with this excitement in AAPL, looks like silver futures are about to plunge.

The odd one out in the MSFT/AAPL/GOOG three headed monster is GOOG.  GOOG is about 33% overvalued right now.

alien-IQ's picture

yeah but that's just a premium attached for providing the NSA/CIA/FBI/DHS with unfettered access to the private information of all Google users.

so you see...cooperating with an oppressive totalitarian police state mentality is indeed profitable...and probably has some wonderful "undisclosed" tax advantages.

OK, everyone chant... 666  ...    666    ...   666.

Does anyone honestly believe the plunge protection team would allow AAPL to break it's 50d MA?

C'mon now.....

ebworthen's picture

Anyone see the three AAPL devotees on CNBC this morning who buy Apple, all Apple, all the time?  Religious zealots by any other name.  Reminded me of Jim Jones or Sun Myung-Moon followers.

"Apple is going to $900" said one, "Apple is going over $1,000" said the co-founder of the group.

Bulletin:  One year ago today Steve Jobs passed away.

Religious/bubble hysteria.

It's quite a phenomena. There's obviously a bubble you point out it's a bubble and everyone caught up in it denies vehemently that it's a bubble, instead claiming the bubble will expand, consuming the whole of humanity before passing on to godhood.

With iPhone 5 estimates being guided lower, an iPad mini that will canibalize the iPad, and underperforming hedge funds that own this stock and are up a massive amount year to date lightening up, this stock will test it's 100 DMA next week, ~620. Buy a 620/630 put spread on the weeklies. If I'm right, 10x upside. I believe this stock will breach its 200 DMA before year end. I'm not an AAPL bear, I'm just a trader who's number 1 winner this year has been trading AAPL (GLD #2) on the long side. I've been trading the short side since the Friday before the iPhone 5 launch.

And Samsung is having a good year...hmmmmm...lots of Galaaxy IIIs sold.....I think the world loves Samsung more....and will begin to hate American Apples...

Where is Potter?  AAPL is sending an SOS to NYFED.

I smell a Reggie Middleton chest thumping peacock strutting diatribe being scribed at this very moment.

Oh how I look forward to his dazzling display of humility.

Just noticed that ugly H&S on the 6-week.   No technical trader in their right mind would buy the dip today.

Meesohaawnee's picture

problem is slaughter.. your making the assumption there are traders out there. Nice insight. thanks since im not a ta person

No idea why people have a problem with Apple, it makes loads of money and isn't on a silly tech PE ratio.
