Hostilities Between Turkey And Syria Resume As Two Countries Exchange Fire
It seems like it was only yesterday that crude plunged ahead of the first presidential debate as the escalation between Turkey and Syria hit a fever pitch, with Syria supposedly firing shell into Turkey and Turkey relatiating promptly, as it concurrently summoned NATO and demanded an Article 4 redress while passing a bill allowing its military to conduct cross-border operations in Syria, essentially giving itself a carte blanche to invade Syria without declaring outright war. Today, 48 hours later, Turkey may just get the opportunity to execute on this brand new law.
Reuters reports that "the Turkish military returned fire after a mortar bomb fired from Syria landed in countryside in southern Turkey, the state-run Anatolian news agency reported the governor of Hatay province as saying on Friday. Turkish artillery bombarded Syrian military targets on Wednesday and Thursday in response to shelling by Syrian forces that killed five Turkish civilians further east along the border." Ignore that the official plotline said that Syria "apologized" for its offense, even as "an online video purporting to be from Jabhat al-Nusra, a jihadist group accused of ties to al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility."
So which is it: Syria or Al Qaeda doing everything in its power to incite the full fury of a NATO retaliation which would certainly level Damascus in one campaign, something Syria knows too well. Something which Al Qaeda certainly knows too well, as it knows that all that the developed world needs is an excuse for war, preferably one which is framed as self-defense. Finally, one wonders: just who is funding Al Qaeda these days, a question needing further exploration if this headline from two weeks ago, "Turkish Airline Flying Al-Qaeda from Pakistan to Syrian Borders", before any of the recent escalation, proves true.
In other words, is Turkey flying in the same people who are taking responsibility for launching attacks into its own territory, and why?

I'll wait until the mainstream press reports on the issue in order to know what to think.
From the perspective of Syria having downed one of a pair of Turkish jets, enough information was gathered at the time to guide a ground-based intervention against missile forces threatening air power over Syria which are near enough to the border.
I intensely studied the wars in Yugoslavia in the 1990's, including the three marketplace bombings in Bosnia. In these three bombings Muslim forces bombed their own people after Western journalists were conveniently nearby, thus drawing in Western forces to bomb the Serbs. The Palestinians picked up this technique and used it several times against the Israelis with varying success. The hapless Western media was always a willing sucker.
Muslims are doing it again. This time it is two faced Turkey, supporting the jihadis in Syria that lob a mortar into a Turkish village, then again to the rescue the Western media to put the blame on the Syrian government. This is the same Western media that blames the Syrian government for jihadi attacks on Churches and Christians. Over and over the West uses the same deception, to fund terrorists then blame the targeted government - Serbia, Libya, now Syria. Christians are being mass murdered, but the West doesn't care.
You people in the West are pathetic idiots. What you are going to the people of the Middle East is WHAT YOU ARE. If the West is in decline and ready to collapse then lets get it over with and good riddance to all of you.
People in The West have lost control of their Governments.
Precisely!
We deserve to reap what we sew, or allowed to be sewn if we don't have the guts and honesty to stand up to money, power and corrupt political and 'legal' privilege. The current system has robbed the West of any reason for an informed citizen to fight in combat to support any of its former alleged political and humanitarian rights or political and legal ideals.
We are degenerate, we are decadent, we certainly are not some mythical "Developed World", as an actually developed people would never allow this to occur without physically lifting a finger to stop it.
That's what we should be fighting for as that would at least be worth going into combat for and accepting the outcome of a choice to resist this pit of evil the Western World has fallen into. We are obviously not a good and just people, and there is nothing left in us that's worth preserving. Our pop-kulture is garbage. Whatever superior Western culture we had has been systematically and deliberately undermined, destroyed by a duel-national Trojan horse. We deserve to reap what we have allowed to be sewn under their sickening degenerative retrograde poisonous influence.
