Uncle Sam Prepares To Unleash Up To 30,000 Drones Over America For "Public Safety"
The Federal Aviation Administration is working towards putting the finishing touches on rules and regulations for widespread domestic drone use, and the agency expects as many as 30,000 UAVs will be in America’s airspace by the decade’s end. As Russia Today notes, given that the department has already addressed the issue of acquiring drones to give the DHS a better eye of domestic doings, though, those law enforcement operations in question could very well transcend away from legitimate uses and quickly cause civil liberty concerns from coast-to-coast. All drones will be equipped with Electro-Optical/Infra-Red sensors, as well as the technology to sniff out certain chemicals from thousands of feet above our heads. Have no fear though, since the "Robotic Aircraft for Public Safety" program is for your own protection, we are sure Janet Napolitano would suggest.
Via RT.com:
Don’t be surprised if you catch a federal fleet of sneaky spy drones soaring over your head in the near future, but don’t be too terrified — it’s all in the name of public safety.
The US Department of Homeland Security is asking the makers of small unmanned aerial vehicles to submit their crafts for consideration as the agency ramps up the construction of a full-fledged surveillance state across America. The DHS plans to soon conduct drone tests over the Fort Sill, Oklahoma US Army base, and they’re already soliciting spy planes from the private sector so they can select what kind of UAV to use.
According to a request for information published on the Federal Business Opportunities website recently, the DHS is determined to begin drone tests over the military base soon and is seeking submissions from drone makers that don’t mind making a few bucks by having their products put into the US airspace to conduct sweeping surveillance.
The Borders and Maritime Security Division of the DHS “will conduct flight testing and evaluation of airborne sensors and small unmanned aerial systems,” the request reads, and now invites vendors to submit drones to be tested “under a wide variety of simulated but realistic and relevant real-world operation scenarios.”
The solicitation says that drones will be evaluated to see how well they perform law enforcement operations and conduct search and rescue missions, but once a craft is handed over to the DHS then the details will be put under lock and key. Specifically, the call for work says, "the information within each test report will be classified as For Official Use Only, and will not be shared with the general public."
Given that the department has already addressed the issue of acquiring drones to give the DHS a better eye of domestic doings, though, those law enforcement operations in question could very well transcend away from legitimate uses and quickly cause civil liberty concerns from coast-to-coast.
Homeland Security Janet Napolitano told a House Committee panel in July that the DHS was “looking at drones that could be utilized to give us situational awareness in a large public safety [matter] or disaster” and the next piece of the puzzle is already being put into place. With their latest solicitation, the DHS acknowledges that it is specifically testing a “Robotic Aircraft For Public Safety,” but the components necessary to be considered suggest that any drone adopted by the agency will be brought in for sweeping surveillance.
The solicitation request requires that all drones be equipped with Electro-Optical/Infra-Red sensors, as well as the technology to sniff out certain chemicals from thousands of feet from above. The UAV must also have an integrated laser designator, can be hand-launched by a single person and must be able to be remotely managed by a pilot with only one day of training.
The Federal Aviation Administration is working towards putting the finishing touches on rules and regulations for widespread domestic drone use, and the agency expects as many as 30,000 UAVs will be in America’s airspace by the decade’s end.

Keep dreaming of leaving; it'll never happen, but it's nice to have a dream. Besides, I'm already on that island, and it's crowded enough already.
How long until such dreams are deemed a threat?
How long until such dreams are deemed a threat?
They won't. The penniless can leave (good luck to find a country to accept you as resident), but draconian capital controls will keep most others trapped.
In other words, "I got mine, so fuck you. Stay home."
Nice. We don't want the likes of you here anyway. You'd be the first one to turncoat on your fellow man.
Some of us have land to cultivate, animals to raise, and crops to grow.
What did you ever do before you supposedly made an exit? Support some hookers and buy some blow?
God, you're a jackass!
"In other words, "I got mine, so fuck you. Stay home."" Bingo.
"What did you ever do...?" Actually, I worked in your fucked up political system before I decided there are better places to live. You're welcome for medical marijuana; sorry that term limits on congress was a failed cause. I even registered a couple thousand voters before I realized the pointlessness of it.
"Some of us have land to cultivate, animals to raise, and crops to grow." If you mean you, then good for you. However, whether you can believe it or not, these activities happen in other countries, too, even here in my garden.
"You'd be the first one to turncoat on your fellow man." It's you who is the tax-paying war-supporter, yes? Hypocrisy much?
"God, you're a jackass!" I'll fix this for you: Your God is a jackass! (I'm not actually sure you're one of the believers, but given your demographics, it's a statistical likelihood, and anyway, I enjoy slandering theists.)
Funny you avoided the hookers and blow question. Ha!
So, you worked in "my" fucked-up political system? Then I guess I should thank you for some additional fucked-upedness. I didn't. I don't vote either.
I pay property taxes, and not much else, so you can blow it out your ass calling me a war supporter. I live a solo life raising food and animals and minding my own business. I don't go to church. I don't believe in organised religion.
All your premises about me pretty much fell apart, Bucky, so why don't you just sail on down the road.
It's a statistical likelihood that you're still a jackass. Sit there and brag about bailing on the country that borne you and afforded you the opportunity to leave. That's great! Just don't berate those of us that, for one reason or another, choose to stay.
Arrogance is an ugly feature, by the way.
what do hookers and blow have to do with drones, or expatriating ?
I left and the US validates my decision over and over.
Try to understand; if you stay, you are supporting the system.
Bill
"The drones will probably be used at some pointv to hassle small farmers and John Galts."
Yes, that is all they will be used for. Crime is down, there are no terrorists...never have been.
Zero reason for their deployment really.
Well, the police can't afford fuel/maintenence for big choppers.
Plus they are too obvious.
Good farmland is valuable and running out. Needs to be confiscated to enrich others.
"Crime is down, there are no terrorists . . . never have been."
No, the criminals and terrorists are just showing their hand now . . . theyre the one's pushing for the drones in America to be used against their tax/debt/transfer payment dependent serfs.
Welcome to Bankster World . . . the New World Order.
Agenda 21.....
Opps.... plus the DHS are not going to hire 30,000 9 to 5 desktop pilots now are they?
SYKNET will need to be finally switched on... what could possibly go wrong?
Rise of the machines BitChez.
They'll outsource that job to some call center in India.
They better be flying high.
DoChenRollingBearing
People like Bruce Sterling have observed that modern technology will bring about the death of privacy.
So what if they have 30k HACKABLE drones.
So what if diy types are building their own inexpensive drones.
Eventually the playing field levels. Eventually military technology leaks into the public.
View this as the TPTB shooting themselves in the foot.
>>>>>View this as the TPTB shooting themselves in the foot.
I hope that's the case.
no before billions die.
Like everything else, the only reason this is allowed to continue is because the people continue to allow it.
30,000 drones
wtf sort of dystopian nightmare are they building here
and if we get 30k of the fuckers, how many are in foreign airspace?
30,000 by the end of the decade?
No worries, most of America will be radioactive glass by then, (former) cities anyway.
You gen-xers better get on with that revolution if you wana save this clusterfuck nation from that thermonuclear fate.
Personally I don't think it's worth saving, I'll just leave.
Who is uncle Sam really?

Isn't it bliss?
Don't you approve?

Where are the drones?
Send in the drones.
Don't bother... they're here.....

It's time America had a new sport. Free targets! I predict this will become a new national pastime!
Can this be a real story if they deploy that many the sky will be black with them. It works out that each drone could cover an area of 124sq miles. The fuckers will be crashing into each other.
Cool , this gives my name more meaning...sad nobody figured it out since i'm here.

sorry guys, it was the fuckpad.
Goodbye freedom, it was nice knowing you.
The land area of the USA is 3.8 million square miles. One drone for every 126 Square Miles. One drone for every 12,000 citizens.
Fuck you Obama!!!111
right fleamarket...and how bout those liberty loving repubs??....no shout out to them as well?....after all the drone bill that authorized it came from the repub controlled house.......get a clue fleamarket....both sides are gutting your rights....and they are doing it in complete harmony....
I'm sure all those drone manufacturers are only democrats...sarc off
Unfortunately, I've heard so many 'conservatives' say - - "we just need to get another guy in office". Same ole' left-right bullshit. People never learn.

Don't know why your post suddenly put an image of Janet Reno Dance Party into my head ?!
29,999. The Israelis already bagged one of them
I don't think there is a bag limit on them, treat em like crows and take the plug out of the scatter gun.
By 2020 we won't be able to afford to fly paper airplanes...
Plus the diesel/jet fuel (drones use that, right?) will be like mostly gone along with most other petro products
Oil shortages will probably be a fact of life by 2020, but rest assured that those VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE at DHS will be getting a large share of whatever can still be grabbed on the international market, so drones will keep freeing the heck out of you even if you're riding a horse to your 12-hour shift at the peat mine.
They'll have the Fed continue to monetize every shitty asset under the sun so they can buy $30/gallon bio-fuel to run their drones. For our safety.
CAN I HAZ SEX WITH DRONE?
Don't worry...it will all be funded by the additional speeding tickets.
First the red light cameras, now this. No? Want to bet?
'But the potential civilian market for drones may far eclipse military demand. Power companies want them to monitor transmission lines. Journalists are exploring drones' newsgathering potential. Police departments want them to chase crooks, conduct search and rescue missions and catch speeders.'
http://midwestdemocracy.com/articles/false-reports-of-epa-drones-over-midwest-farms-alarm-public/
And those drones will have missiles. Even if the MSM say the drones don't even exist!
They are not drones... they are just normal planes! You are conspiracy theorists!

Department of Homeland Security using drones that look like civil aviation.
As Smithsonian Magazine reported last year, "Some drones also look like conventional aircraft."
A recent encounter by a friend of mine led me to check out reports that DHS, America's own home-grown political secret police, are using drones that look like Piper Cubs and other commonly-encountered civilian aircraft.
My sources confirm that this is case. Said one, "Well hell yes they do. It took you this long to figure THAT out? They may use Predators on the border to spy on Mexicans and OTM (acronym meaning Other Than Mexican) terrorists trying to slip across but to spy in American airspace they want anonymity. They don't want you to know you're being spied on."
Said another source, "The one that I've seen looks like a Cessna 172, only about half-scale or less. . . not that you can tell that it's smaller from the ground." Adding, "they only operate from federally-controlled airstrips where the access can be restricted and they generally launch at night."
The Cessna 172 has been in production off and on since 1956 and there have been over 45,000 of them built. It is the most common type of civil aviation light plane flown today. So, the next time you think you're being dogged by a Cessna, maybe it's just Big Sis' gestapo drone boys.
Makes me feel sorry for all those real Cessna pilots that are going to get shot at.
As a local low and slow Piper Cub pilot, that crossed my mind also. I suspect our part of the boonies will be too far out for drone work - mostly large cities and urban/suburban stuff, where most of you live. Orwell would love it.
Back in The Great Depression days, the Wobblies (my Dad was one) had a Joe Hill song that went:
There will be Pie in the Sky when you Die.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhJ0aNrYmbA&feature=related
http://iaanhughes.com/2011/05/17/youll-get-pie-in-the-sky-when-you-die-or-i-just-wasnt-made-for-these-times-four-days-and-counting/
Now we get drones in the sky.
Those half-scale planes aren't going to sound like the real thing.
Is this the BEAST?
https://www.google.com/search?q=Cessna+172&hl=en&safe=off&prmd=imvns&sou...
Funny I have heard and seen four of these over the past few weeks... I think they're full scale private though??
Mind bottling, isn't it?
An appropriate pun!
You sir, are likely a woman.
Just another good reason to disband the Dept of Homeland Security.
Yes. If Romney wins, that would be a great start.
Yeah, pro-NDAA Romney is gonna disband DHS! That's a GREAT JOKE!
You are likely correct. But, it WOULD be a great start.
Romney is surrounded by hard core Neocons like Chertoff (DHS, Patriot Act).
A great start would be the military overthrowing all these SOB and sending them all to prison. Same goes for MSM shills. Big banks CEOs. FED governors. Arrest all the top scum at the RNC and DNC. Arrest almost everyone at the SEC, ATF, DHS, TSA, NSA, DoJ, CIA top... Release the 80+ videos of the Pentagon on 9/11 that were never released. Revoke the charters of too big to fail banks. Get rid of all gun laws. Get rid of the Patriot Act and NDAA. Put tarifs on all products coming from slavery (China mainly). Cut all credit lines to the EU. Cut all foreign aid. Bring back all the troops. And many other things I forget.
THIS would be a good start.
My God--to think that it's come to this. Rational, informed, liberty-minded citizens are actually hoping for a military coup in the USA. And given the totality of the corporate capture of the government it's hard to argue what else can save us from true fascism.
But is it likely that a military coup will be initiated by someone with a heart of gold? I think not. But even if I'm wrong, we all know that power can easily corrupt men who start with the best of intentions.
This is awful. Americans are being forced into the position where we'll welcome someone who will clean house, even if that someone is cut from the Stalin mold. And he'll have at his disposal all of the tools (e.g. drones; the so-called Patriot Act; NDAA; etc.) that he'll need to grind us under his boot forever.
We are fucking doomed.
I hope G.W Bush, Obama, et al fry in hell for eternity. Those goddamn mother-fucking cocksuckers.
I'm thinking of writing in "lolmao500" for President with the impassioned plea for sanity for the United States. I signed the petition to get Gary Johnson in on the debates, but I'd be just as happy with lolmao500 in the debates too. Are you game? Would you mind ripping both Obromneys a new one?
I'd write him in as well. Gary Johnson is a warmonger by the way. Be careful.
I'm thinking of writing in "lolmao500" for President
Actually i think AnAnonymous is a more preferable choice as he/she/chink is able to think outside the box
Good point, in spite of AnAnonymousees obvious shortcomings typing ENGLANDER as a trainee CHICOM troll, I am quite certain he/she/it would have put up a better show than the 'Empty Chair' Gov. Romney was up against the other day...
.
AnAnonymous - the candidate that craps outside the bowl. His campaign platform is more of a campaign roadside.
Wait, didn't Hitler rise to power under similar circumstances? Didn't he gain approval from a country of people who had a worthless currency, a small group of people who stole from the rest(purported?), a sense to regain national pride? Didn't he promise a way out of debt servitude and into prosperity? I think you are right Real Estate Greek in the sense that Americans will "welcome someone who will clean house." Power can and will corrupt any human. It's too bad that individuals will lose everything. Very sad
Yeah the whole "buy guns Obammy is a commie" and "drones everywhere" crap is straight up right wing. With religious zealot seasoning.
Some Americans actually welcome this state of affairs. Those are the people sneaking under the radar right now.
Guns (military and personal) and drones are making some people massively rich.
There is gonna be a plot twist soon...and it's gonna be a big surprise.
I think that even the Military heads are "comprimised" "How did they get there?" and they must continue to cover thier fleshly asses. But it might make for a good show.
I mean sheeet they get paid the BIG BUCKS, why the eff with that?
I would have to agree with DoChen in the sense that although Romney isn't the perfect candidate, it would slow the acceleration of the slide dramatically.
After all, Romney has a lot more to lose than Obama, regardless whether or not it's in the US.
You are so wrong. Do you have any idea who is on Romneys campaign team?
They make Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz and Donald Rumsfeld look like a bunch of pussies.
Just being pragmatic, is all. And I only mentioned the acceleration of the slide, not the slide itself.
An Obama win would not only ensure the criminals/bankers (is there a difference?) would get the infrastructure to get greater control than they could ever have asked for, but also the will.
Of course, anything could be going on behind the scenes, but that's the best observation I can make as an outsider.
I encourage you to look at who is behind Romney. It is not behind the scenes.
Cofer Black (CIA), Michael Chertoff (DHS), Michael Hayden (NSA, CIA) just for starters. Plenty of dual Israeli/Americans as well.
Please wake up. You are not being pragmatic or even slightly accurate.
I understand that Cofer Black is a member of Romney's team and the other may support him, but the problem is, the world is about to blow up. My primary concern, is here in the US. All those guys have shown aggressive and probably illegal behavior (mostly) in other parts of the world, but Obama's team has shown incredible contempt for the US Constitution here in the US.
Can you look at both these teams and say that Romney would be worse for the US domestically? Hell, even abroad? My opinion is no.
I would not advocate either of these bloodthirsty warmongers, and neither should you.
Domestic policy? LOL. Did you miss the part about Chertoff being the author of the Patriot Act?
Cog Dis is a bitch aint it?
The difference between Team O and Team R is the same difference between being forced to eat either Ejaculate mixed with Piss or Shit. Sure, you can justify why one is better than the other, but in the end, you got one nasty fucker staring you in the face.
Pure poetry, AS. Pure poetry.......
Chertoff (as a lobbyist) is the cretin that brought naked body scanners to an airport near you.
wake the fuck up.
And Janet is the pig cunt responsible for their being used on you now. How is one side any different than the other? My methodology of refusing to vote for any federal incumbent has an ideological basis, but it also introduces chaos and restructuring delays into the otherwise steady erosion of the Power of the People.
"How is one side any different than the other?" zero difference, except for the audience demographic each is manipulating.
not to criticize your methodology, but think of this way, maybe this bouncing back and forth between "public" & "private" sector is exactly their methodology to maintain the fascist (defined as Mussolini spoke) grip. use the years in government to procure contracts and then use the years outside to quietly cash in on those contracts. rinse and repeat as long as you can get away with it. worked for Cheney.
Truman - Eisenhower - Kennedy/Johnson - Nixon/Ford - Carter - Reagan/Bush - Clinton - Bush - Obama...smells like controlled opposition to me.
It's possible, but I think 8-year continuous cycles facilitate the erosion process. The chattering class like to talk about the first 100 days, but it actually takes an administration at least six months to get all the desk filled and weed out some the useless trash that rode in with the campaign (and this is with the 3 months of dedicated planning post election), so they can hit a few priorities quickly. However, from a strictly P&L standpoint I can see how a faster revolving door allows them to enrich themselves quicker. I just happen to be more concerned with protecting my rights than in with protecting my pocketbook from the beltway bandits.
been thinking about this timing issue lately. find it curious that they always push these long-term social engineering policies on the front-end of their terms (e.g. No Child Left Behind / Obamacare (Clinton tried the same thing but failed)) and then load up on the procurement contracts on the back end, meanwhile chipping away at civil liberties at regular intervals, slowly but surely.
share your preference on rights, just happen to believe that with the MIC, those two go hand in hand.
case in point:
The DHS Fusion Center billions coordinating federal and state Intel were used as a piggy bank for law enforcement with the right connections. The report describes training for the report personnel was only five days (the bells went ringing on that).
There was no further testing or follow up after that. And the states would be put in control of how the money was spent (more bells).
In plain English that meant the Fusion funds would replace recession budget cuts in departments, fund patronage, and help buy commando toys.
http://www.veteranstoday.com/2012/10/08/real-terror-in-america-political-corruption-and-incompetence/
He also saw to it that the "dancing Israeli's" who were caught on camera celebrating the damage on 9-11 and claimed they were "only there to document the event" (prior knowledge, anyone?) incredibly were released and sent home to Israel. We are so fucked.
Romney isn't the perfect candidate
____________________
He is not. But he is so much superior to Obama.
Obama is your typical US citizen president who has proven his 'american' worth times after times.
But he has made it way too easy for 'americans' to kick the can when it comes to 'americanism': what Obama has done, 'americans' do not say he did because Obama is an 'american', but because he is a negro, a muslim, a marxist, a third world lover etc
Romney? Much better. 'Americans', only the hardcore will flee 'american' reality by claiming he is a negro, calling him the n word.
Muslim? Romney is a mormon.
Marxist? hard. Third world lover? Hard.
Mormon is the weak point and beside all romney's elite clubs membership, one can expect to explain romney's policies by him being a mormon.
Everything to avoid stating the obvious: that Romney is an 'american' and his policies will be 'american'.
That stated, Romney, much better than Obama.
Oh, bitch, please! Why don't you compare your turds. Same diff.
You're stuck in cognitive dissonance, dochenrollbearing.
You would prefer Obama?
It's a false, dichotomous choice. Obama is a scary, liberty hating, statist, welfare dependency-loving Chicago thug, and Romney has been a political windsock and supports bailouts and NDAA. Romney might be more inclined towards favoring business as far as cutting taxes, but he wants to replace, not get rid of, government programs. He's not even in the Tea Party corner of the GOP, and even they are not free-market enough considering what the Constitution calls for. These guys all want to preserve Medicare instead of tell the truth that the money is spent and that the whole thing was unconstitutional from the getgo. Romney wants the govt portion of GDP (which itself is a joke of a statistic) to be 20%, which is still higher than it was under Clinton, I heard the other day. And this is supposed to be the party of limited government?
Nothing is more urgent than eliminating govt intervention in our lives and in the marketplace. That means cutting spending hand over fist, restoring the military to defensive, ending this welfare culture, obviously ending the Federal Reserve and restoring Constitutional money as legal tender (I favor competition in money first and foremost, with letting people choose what money is, but having Congress (the people) make coins out of silver and gold would demand great accountability and integrity in finance, too). I'm a laissez faire (old school) Republican/classical liberal/Austrian.
Don't get me wrong, the lefty 'liberals' are actually statist control freaks with ungodly values like endorsing abortion who then have the nerve to invoke the Lord's blessing at the DNC when they support these abominations. And obviously there was that video at the DNC where about half the delegates said they'd favor a ban on corporate profits.
As a Christian, the Republicans share many of my same values, but in the case of pro-life, for instance, the mainstream neo-conservatives that have overtaken the non-interventionists evidently don't have a problem abandoning the sanctity of life in order to overcome insecurities in preserving the empire in sending young kids into war torn regions and favoring the pax Americana regime that provokes blowback and that is funded by immorally putting the nation into more debt, not to mention the unconstitutional not-consulting -Congress prior to war, and the reality that it is not defensive, but rather offensive and belligerent.
I woke up last year to things like Bilderberg, Bohemian Grove, NWO and Bush the elder saying that that was his ambition in that one state of the union, as well as Kissinger and others stating their aspirations. No longer do I just blindly root for the red team, that's for sure. I look very carefully at the candidates on a case by case basis.
And I have very strong Christian convictions. I have realized I am a libertarian, which is what the Republicans used to be, because it fits with what Jesus Christ taught, which was spiritual warfare, and not militancy. I am super anti alcohol and mind-altering drugs, but I acknowledge that govt simply legislating these things away or declaring 'wars' on them does not work, and it is unconstitutional anyway. In the case of alcohol, I like what people did when this nation had stronger ethics of work and dignity in the industrial revolutions when they responded to the drunkard Irish catholics, by voluntarily banding together in temperance movements to fight for family values and decency. I need to persuade people against using these harmful things like alcohol by reiterating how destructive they are to the family and how they change lives such as with all these highway slaughters. That is my first amendment right to do so. It's not about coercion, which is what the Catholics did throughout history and continue to do.
And marijuana supply has not diminished one bit despite all the resources used to fight it, and it has just made the black market more lucrative, and now there are so many people sitting in prison for victimless crimes. And there may well be medicinal benefits, too, not that big pharma wants anyone to have a chance to inquire into these natural remedies to challenge the status quo setup of abdication of personal responsibility, 'there's a pill for that' mentality egged on by monopolies with the FDA and patents, and the govt intervention in inducing the insurance mentality of taking more because one is 'covered.'
Very well written and a nice case. Thank you.
A libertarian would clearly be better. But, it's not happening this go around. I have heard the various arguments against Romney, and to a great degree I agree with them. But, Obama is clearly worse.
Don't vote. No point, and you're forcing yourself to pretend that you support something you clearly don't. I have too much respect for you to say what I'm really thinking, but this whole "this guy sucks less than the other guy" is beneath you. Roll your bearings and leave the chattering classes to their chatter.
I hope things are going well for you and yours.
"very strong Christian convictions" seem to include a pet grudge against "drunkard Irish catholics"? From the early 20th century? JC would be so proud of you.
Ghordius,
I acknowledge it was too generalized a statement. But there was a strong nativist movement, and a lot of it was against these Irish people. I do not want to generalize. I will however, urge people to get out of the Catholic church if they are in it, because it is corrupt doctrine. Purgatory, for instance, is a concept of the Catholics which means they do not think Christ's atonement for sin at Calvary was sufficient. This is perverted and an abomination.
Don't get me wrong, there are apostasies proliferating like some mainstream Protestant churches accepting homosexual marriage, and some liberal-theology ones even embracing a commonality with Islam.
Turn to the Bible and give your life to Christ. Faith in Him alone saves, and only faith in Him. It will get hellish on earth (and already is with sin and things like this aricle is describing) but we are already assured the victory, because Christ defeated Satan and gave us a way to be reunited with our Father in Heaven. The Revelation and Daniel tell us these things must come to pass, and in the midst of the turbulence, Christians can say 'Even so, come Lord Jesus.'
No doubt there ARE at least two faction on this "take over the world" mem. That I dont think you can deny. And if so wouldn't make sence that one IS less evil than the other, although no doubt both are evil?
Just sayin
When i'm going to be served up with a pile of shit for lunch regardless, why bother looking at the menu?
Clearly, I'm the only worthwhile candidate that can address all these issues.
Nope.

"When I first came to your planet and demanded your homes, property and very lives, I didn't know you were already doing so, willingly, with your own government. I can win no tribute from a bankrupted nation populated by feeble flag-waving plebians. In 2008 I shall restore your dignity and make you servants worthy of my rule. This new government shall become a tool of my oppression. Instead of hidden agendas and waffling policies, I offer you direct candor and brutal certainty. I only ask for your tribute, your lives, and your vote.
- General Zod
Your Future President and Eternal Ruler
Zod got screwed man:

But he'll be back:
"Q. Hey, Zod, dude, it's me, Bernie G again. Looks like things didn't go so hot for you on election day. In fact, it looks like we ended up electing the dude who was running on a platform that was EXACTLY the opposite of yours. You wanted to concentrate everyone's wealth in your pocket, and instead we elected the guy who said he wanted to "spread the wealth around." So my question is, if President Obama succeeds in "spreading the wealth around" like he says he wants to, won't it make life tougher for you if you come back and get elected in 2012? Or are you giving up on politics? -- Bernie G
A. I presume you are one of the traitorous impostors who voted for Obama and that you support this preposterous scheme. I will roast you all on the billet grille! Spreading the wealth does not just create more of a challenge for me, but it spreads the shackles of conspicuous consumption and makes you more beholden to your Best Buy masters. Enjoy your opulent lives, for I will destroy it in 2012."
You meant "If Ron Paul wins." Right?
"Yes. If Romney wins, that would be a great start."
Wow. For the first time ever, I now hope that Romney wins, just for you. Stupid fucking sheeple; have some more kids, why don't you? I don't think Idiocracy has fully taken effect yet.
They did not answer the question of, will they be armed????
It will be in next phase.
isn't the fact that they are up there snooping on you bad enough? do you really want borderline psychopathic/retarded cops to have this in their bag of tricks? this shit all makes 9-11 seem even more like an inside job (like it's not already)
Of course they won't be armed, at least at first, but bet your last (fiat) dollar that they will have armament mounts just in case.
This dystopian nightmare is getting worse with each passing day.
+ 1, I hear ya Dr.
Peru may soon beckon, our (the two of us) only real way of "Going Galt".
that is why I preemptively practice doublethink. Drones protect me from evil-eyed terrorists with ugly beards and an empty sky can be very boring.
All in the name of reducing the supply of weed, therefore jacking up the price 5x, therefore increasing drug-related crime 50x. Brilliant.
I saw in the paper some suburban police chief caught some 18 year old smoking a joint in the middle of the night in a car in front of the cop's house and the kid was in jail being held on $50K BOND? WTF?

What's really unthinkable is living outside of the fascist shithole of a country that you call home. Truly unthinkable, that.
Science fiction becomes fact:
As above, so below. As within, so without. The lies are different at every level through toroidal vortices of deceits. Wars abroad recycle back home. Wars at home recycle abroad. Everything that Americans developed to do in the Middle East will be deployed against Americans at home. It is only a question of time until automated drones start assassinating Americans without warning. By allowing and enabling huge lies to develop and direct doing that to others outside of America, thereby Americans prepared for that to be done to them too.
Spiritual insights are becoming cliches ...
What goes around comes around. The older generation of Republicans and all generations of evangelicals, sincerely believe that we are the good guys, and our government is a reflection of our virtues, the manifestation of the hand of God. It is a mistake of biblical proportions, and there will be hell to pay.

You assume much, the older the American the more pissed they are / will be.They have LONG memories, and there's an old saying do not start a fight with an old man, he will kill you,You never want to go toe to toe with a wounded animal.

Work out you fat fuck liberal intelligentsia or else I will rape you. Sorry no emoticon.
Janet Napolitano: "to give us situational awareness".
Is that like "situational ethics"?

You can shoot us in movie theaters, you can blow up our buildings, and you can spy on us. But you can't hide from us.
There's 600 trounces of silver in every drone .... mostly in the batteries !
Yet another reason to shoot some down.
Recycling, bitchez!
Your on a "roll" tonight, Bearing Boy !
I don't even believe it, that's absurd. Silver batterites? I need links...
It all started with cruise missles .... I expanded it to stinger missles and drones ! Sometimes I make shit up ....you decide !
Silver or not, they're still good to stack!
Silver oxide batteries have a very long shelf life and a very high energy to weight ratio, which is needed for missiles since they have a service life approaching/surpassing decades, and need to be lightweight to minimize size and maximize speed. Also popular in torpedoes and spacecraft (pretty much everything on Apollo that wasn't run by fuel cell was run on silver-oxides.). It's a primary battery (e.g. not rechargable) so one-time-use only.

Who the fuck is downarrowing that? Jamie Dimon, is that you fuckface or your SLV henchmen?
But it's not true.
600 grams would be cool enough.
The silver lining. How high do they cruise?
They will come in all shapes and sizes. Alot of them will be shot down. Skeet shooting. I would like to see a post as to who the manufacturers are. I believe the owners will be stacked with former members of the last two administrations.
I can't wait to see the trophy pics!
Skeet shooting? You own a shotgun that can shoot down something more than a mile in the air, flying at over 200 mph? I think not.
No, they will be hovering 20 feet above your rooftop. And unarmed, to begin with anyways.
Drones don't hover, and they don't descend below 5,000 feet except on takeoff or landing.
Wrong. But you know that don't you?
And you are wrong as well - you are thinking of the presently available semi-toy RC hover drones that can be used for photos and play, limited to line of sight and 400 foot altitude per FAA part 13 rules for model aircraft and ultralights.
These are not the drones you are looking for.
These are not the drones that will be looking at you.
Government drones will be larger, carry sophisticated camera and other sensing gear, have 'see and avoid' autonomous gear as well (NASA and UND have completed first tests this summer with a Cessna 'drone' [safety pilot in place but not hands on wheel] being flown at by a piloted plane and having on-board software perform avoidance manuevers (it worked) - necessary before these drones can be unleashed in civil airspace), and be controlled from a central location, probably near the airport used by the drones. All this is coming out pretty regularly in pilot magazines (AOPA and Flying, for example). It appears there are damn few pilots involved in this discussion - there are still serious airspace issue to work out - the drones will probably not be flying over your urban heads until late 2013, if by then.
But they are for sure coming, but when they come, they won't be any 50 feet over your head hover toys you can shoot down with the old 30 ought - they will be lurking probably 3 to 10 thousand feet overhead and be ~small ga aircraft sized, also probably somewhat stealthy, i.e. quiet and hard to spot. I suspect hackers will have better luck than shooters bringing them down, but the war will be on.
"All enemies, foreign and domestic" goes part of the oath.
YT will glo brighty on my screen.
Boom!

Here is the article on the current testing of NASA and UND for pilotless aircraft and see and avoid software/hardware.

Boy, that's gonna be some exspensive skeet shootn'. Betta dust off the ol' 3" mangnum goose gun early this year.
I reckon.
DOH ! I guess I was second with the skeet shootn'. Well close is enough when you have nuff buckshot
I reckon
DOD overpays for those "clay pigeons" !
Lana!
Lana!
LANA!!!!!!!
Help. The FED banksters are attacking. Interesting that political opponents make the most likely targets of banksters and their drones. That means mobilization of the opposition will be rising quickly now. Long live the revolution.
