Live New York Web (And Sound) Cam

Tyler Durden's picture

Because the only thing more informative than watching a shut down New York get blown (away) by Sandy, is hearing it live. Watch, and listen, as downtown New York, very much unprepared for what may be a record flood surge, gets the Venice treatment.

Biblical parallels ARE interesting here. The raging of the sea symbolic of the nations' turmoil in the end X. As peoples rage there are no changes to the political system and the angels (of God) hold back judgment. But later the raging of the waves cause men's hearts fail them for fear of what is coming on the earth and what can be shaken, falls; political systems are replaced with something worse or with what looks good-- like world peace-- but it is disaster and a deception.

"An emergency beacon sent a call of distress at 08:15 a.m. Moscow time (05:15 GMT) near the Shantar islands in the southwestern portion of the Sea of Okhotsk. The tanker Novik, which arrived at the scene of the beacon’s distress call, did not discover the vessel."

The ship carrying 700 tons of gold ore has not been found at the "scene of the beacon's distress call"?  Sounds like a  Bernackuda Triangle mystery.

700 tonnes "gold" ore missing? Someone explain how much gold content we're talking about here.

Just hype to get anyone to care? A ship with dirt goes missing. Who cares. The MMS Bounty that sank today in the storm has higher book value than that ore ship.

Ha! Great song! I have been singing it to myself the last couple of days.

In that vein ("she says she won't set her pants on fire for me any more"), Megyn Kelly on Fox News is hot.

Move the markets to Vegas. Seems like an appropriate place. Nicer weather, better shows.

At least Wash, DC is going to get a good flush.

Of course all that seawater will give it a distinctly 'fishy' smell.

Luckily Air Force One delivered a giant douche.

food for thought:

Are humans required to run the ALGO driven market? If humans aren't involved, why is the market basically frozen today?

Is the aftermath of "Sandy" the carte blanche excuse to start the next PRINT FEST?

If it goes real bad, from bad to worse, from worse to worst and from worst to ugly - does it matter what the price of rice is in China?

Satellite photo of storm reveals 2 pentagons, large one on southeast side that is strangely also devoid of most clouds, small one on southwest side - currently up on foxnews.com.  For pentagons in weather see:

http://www.cheniere.org/satellite%20radar%20anomalies/index.html

Upshot is this storm is being engineered and steered.

A friend from Hackensack, NJ stated that the winds were fierce.  This was about 1 hour ago.  She predicted her power would be going out any minute and it has.  She said there was little rain but feared her trees would be uprooted.

what they fail to warn/ tell the public is that a cat 1-5 have mini-tornadoes randomly mixing about... and they'll put a car in the air and flip it onto a two-story building, with a world of hurt!

these things just pop-up with no signs, so stay safe... in a safe windowless room

and they ain't pitily-ass... wind-gust!

regards

I'm in NYC. It's windy and rainy out. Gee, how will I ever survive this raging tempest? As I and many others with brains and common sense have pointed out, Sandy is rated a "Category 1" FOR A REASON--i.e., it's not a Category 3, or 4, or 5 storm. Get it? If it were a Category 3 or 4 storm, I would be concerned and probably out of here. But it's not! And it's never been, and we've known EXACTLY what it was going to do and how strong it would be for DAYS now. And yet, millions of mainstream-media-watching monkeys continue to shriek and wail and pass along misinformation about the storm. Why have I been condemned to live among so many, many halfwits? WHY?

No more jokes. Hang in NY and Jersey.

It will feel and roar like you're under a wave for a couple days and it will pass.

And hopefully it doesn't turn into Katrina Looterpalooza!
