Quick: Per Se Still Has A 6:00 PM Reservation Opening Tonight

Tyler Durden's picture

Update: 15 seconds later, all open Per Se reservations had been taken. Better luck after the next hurricane.

New York is back, baby. Best way to check? Restaurant reservations. And the best cross referencing place for that these days is OpenTable. A cursory check shows that of the 616 restaurants indicating availability for tonight, many already have the much desired 7:00 pm slot already booked up. Among these are such bastions of haute gourmet as Asiate, Rouge, Cipriani Caravaggio, Ouest, Felidia, Triomphe, and of course Dorsia Per Se. Which means only thing: New York has picked itself up, brushed off the rain drops from its $10,000 fitted Zegna suits, and is back to eating. The good news: Per Se still has a 6 PM opening (although probably not for long after this post).

Has the "Limelight" opened it's doors again?

Eight o'clock at Dorsia? How'd he swing that?

I think he's lying.

"hey you minions, get back to work, clean this shit up and take a pay cut. Thanks for lighting up my cigar, slave."

Nah, rats can swim.  Chef's special is Homeless Hamburger with Night Train sauce.

Natural destructive events such as Storms, Earthquakes, etc should not be classified as disaster events, they are, according to many, a boost to the local economy, and therefore an asset, not a liability. They boost the local Funeral business, building business, plumbing, retail, you name it! They even entice people to go out an spend after being spared, or have a family BBQ.

Natural destructive events even bring people together.

Perhaps in the future we should be saying something like; Look, there's another hurricane asset forming over Florida, or a cyclone asset forming over Queensland, a Tsunami asset off Japan, or a Mud Slide & Flood Asset in China. All of which leave prosperity and happiness in their wake.

Mother Nature, kicking FED Quantitative-ZIRP arse in the race to save the global economy.

PS. and she does it without erroding your purchasing power too; try and beat that one Shlameel Bernanke!

Not gonna lie, I'm very disappointed more ZH'ers didn't get the Patrick Bateman-Evelyn Williams reference.

Is that Ivana Trump over there? Jeez, Patrick, I mean Marcus, what are you thinking? Why would Ivana be at Texarkana?

No confidence in their hedges. Especially if it's tommorow and not for  'tomorrow'.

Your genius makes me hate myself for not being able to perceive your level of genius. I try, but you always make me feel like the boy with the dunce cap.

Prefer Keller's French Laundry over his Per Se, but it sure beats eating rat ass.

Fuck you Wall Street.

DeadFred's picture

Maybe it's not wall street. Maybe it's people from Queens who can't cook because the power's off. /S

Nutria, the other, other white meat.

Our choices for water this evening are Evian, Fiji, or flood.

We always have space available at our table for guests, and we still have some of last night's roast beef left over for lunch, if you hurry.  I am thinking french dip, with a little of Mrs. Horseman's homemade chedder melted on top on her freshy ground whole wheat bread.

Wakanda's picture

Not to turn down a generous invitation, but is that beef over done?

hedgeless_horseman's picture

No, it is slow roasted for about three hours.

Tender as can be.  You should try it sometime.

It is hard to get the right color temperature on a camera phone with stained glass kitchen lights.

Manthong's picture

I don't see the Horseman's Horseradish.

nice one hh.  we slow-cooked a rabbit stew with homegrown veggies & herbs last night.  added some couscous today and let it simmer all afternoon for a leftover special tonight.

it'd be fun to do a hedgerow cooking show.

A Nanny Moose's picture

Can I get that with a side of Possum?

Jam Akin's picture

And a mess of squirrel brains...

sandiegoman's picture

is that what you call slow roasted? Looks more like beef jerky to me..

Certainly cant be that bad if all the NYC $200/plates are booked for tonite. Ho-hum.

Skateboarder's picture

$10/meal is standard. $20/meal is the max I'll go, and it better come with some goddamn beer. $200/plate is beyond my comprehension. Hell, if I had $200 to spare, I'd probably buy a new skateboard and shoes.

Ruffcut's picture

I would rather buy a homeless guy some shoes and the wallstreet guy the skateboard, hoping he smashes his face into the pavement. THen my homeless friend pisses on his face. That would be the best thing to do with 200 bucks.

Ahmeexnal's picture

200 bucks....buy 3 toz Ag and the rest is best spent on Lynchburg's finest.

Tijuana Donkey Show's picture

A real man's painkiller. Gotta love it

Skateboarder's picture

In that case I'd rather give the skateboard to the homeless guy too. He can smash the trucks into the pig's face and then piss all over it before riding off into the night. Definitely do not buy anything ever for a wall street guy.

Wakanda's picture

Yeee haaaaa!  We are back and we are bbbbbbaaaaaaadddddd!

A quick dip in the Atlantic Ocean with Sandy and NYC is (almost) ready to rumble.

The big App never sleeps.

Don't forget to tip generously.  : )
