Swiss, on good authority (I've a friend who in the 1970s-80s dealt physical with the Hunt bros) Citi was short silver then and had loans out with the Hunts. Hunt bros bought at all levels contracts AND physical and were killing their(Citi's)hedge. Some wise-ass got the idea to call in all hunt loans, spread the word, and made the calls...result was silver from 50 to 30 to 11 in days. Hunt's had to go to court. The Hunt's actually believed in crashing economy and possible silver backed TX currency. They were not just "greedy". Good info sharing on Citi, thanks BTW!
