Obama Rebuts Boehner's Pre-buttal "Compromise, Compromise, Compromise" - Live Webcast

Tyler Durden's picture

Technical bounces off 200DMAs; Fed lifting constraints from next year's stress tests; Basel III implementation deadlines rumored to be extended; and now we get the 'compromise' chatter to ensure we do not plunge and close at the lows of the day/week/month/quarter during the President's first few days of re-election. We are sure the market will hear what the market needs to hear and a history of divisive political backstabbing will be thrown away in rounds of group-hugs and exchanges of ponies...

ZH should start up an IN-TRADE-type betting system with the following:

"Chance Obama will have his throbbing hard black cock in Boehner's whiney, teary ass before the end of December"

I would BUY 5,000,000 shares of that.

The Repubics will collude with the Demoncrats. They already have, they've just not announced the grand compromise (i.e. Fuck You, Taxpayers, because Government Needs Moar Revenue, Employees, Agencies & Other Economic Growth Stifling Things, and It Also Needs to Feed The Hungry Financial-Banking-Defense Complex) yet.

I seriously think this is not so much about the fiscal cliff or compromise, but rather, it's a sign of how desparate they are to keep the markets from plunging.  Trotting Boehner out day before yesterday to announce (for no apparent reason) that the Reds would be willing to accept some taxes was the most obvious thing ever.  The market was tanking 300+ pts and they were desprate to find, or manufacture, some good news.  If they were serious about finding a solution they'd be doing it in private not in dueling press conferences.

Oh, and I really really hate the orange one!  Actually I can't stand any of them but I really can't stand the orange one.

It's just typical political sparring.  the president gets to have nationally televised PR whenever he likes, so he calls a conference to announce he's inviting the other party to talks at his place.  That puts the other guys in the arm-twisted position of having to accept, because it would look bad if they didn't pretend to want to work together with the newly elected prez towards a real solution.

But they have to at least put up a front of resistance to keep their backers happy, before they eventually all agree to kick the can, ignore the longer-term issues, and declare themselves victorious ect..

It would be the same if the parties were switched around.  Just typical political posturing is all it is.

In 2001 we were told that if the Bush tax cuts were implemented that the national debt would be paid off by 2010.

In retrospect, those prognostications were a little optimistic.  Now we have Oblathering idiot suggesting it will take just a couple more years of the same strategy and everything will work out fine.

Oblahblahs stated goal in the plan offered today will reduce the DEFICIT by 5 trillion.

The only DEBT to be reduced over the next ten years is the projected increase in DEBT over the next ten years!

forget debt reduction...we're still working on DEFICIT reduction. no matter the compromise expect a minimum of 5 trillion in new debt over ten years. add a few emergency appropriations over that span, because no Congress or POTUS will tolerate flat spending, and it is safe to assume we will add at least 7 trillion to our debt over the next ten years.

The Republican Party is headed for a huge split.

It’s clear to see that Republican politicians, that is, the government and liberal Republicans and particularly the Republican politicians who are now in power, want to compromise the nation and appeal to Hispanics and other likemindeds by making changes favoring even more Hispanic immigration in order to stay in power. And that’s the only reason they are catering to the Hispanics at the tax and cultural expense of their Republican base.

But what I’m hearing from the opponents of these RINOs is a loud NO! to any more changes in basic Republican principles. Instead, conservative Republicans are going to fight. America is failing because massive social engineering by neoliberals and neoconservatives since 1965 has gone too far already and, as some say, the safety net has become a hammock.

This fight is going to be widespread.

It has already started.   My surmise is that these turncoat Republican politicians are going to lose this one. The bottom line is that they can’t appeal to three-quarters of the Hispanic base (and liberal base) in order to entice them into the Republican Party by giving them more stuff. Hispanic politicians already know where they’re going to get the free stuff and the power—it’s the Democrat Party. They are the Democrat base.

Most Hispanics favor illegal immigration; most support La Raza (the race); most pledge their loyalty to Mexico. It’s the Hispanics and their supporters who want one-way open borders into the US; who want more unearned government benefits and who want welfare largess for Hispanics illegally entering the United States.

Three-quarters of Hispanics vote Democrat for all of the things many Americans hate; not necessarily because Hispanics want gay marriage and abortion and special privileges for women that harshly discriminate against white males, but because by voting Democrat they support these very issues carte blanche and that means for many Americans the loss of property, the loss of freedom, the loss of ethnic values, and the loss of everything they intended for the country and the culture…

The bottom line that most government Republican politicians can't seem to read is that Hispanics vote Democrat; they are an unquestioned vote for Democrats. It’s a no-brainer for them.

IE: Election’s up; vote Democrat.

How to Destroy America

By: Dick Lamm | Sat, Mar 25, 2006

(Editor's note: A 2004 speech on the dangers of multiculturalism in the United States titled "I Have a Plan to Destroy America", became famous after being frequently forwarded as an email. With the immigration debate again heating up, it is time to revisit the speech. Reprinted with permission.)

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Recently there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of American's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Davis Hansen talked about his latest book, Mexifornia, explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'"

"Here is how they do it," Lamm said:

"First, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country." History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: 'The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.' Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans."

Lamm went on: Second, to destroy America, "Invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

Third, "We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: 'The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.' Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

"Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high. school."

"My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population."

"My sixth plan for America's downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. E. Pluribus Unum -- From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus'. Instead of the 'Unum,' we will balkanize America as surely as Kosovo."

"Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them."

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, "Lastly, I would censor Victor Davis Hanson's book, Mexifornia. His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book."

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.' American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America - take note of California and other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book, 1984. In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is strength."

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that the future of our great nation is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped quickly, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

Hope it isn’t Chicago, with roughly 20 murders for every 100,000 people – “the death spiral of a city hurdling towards hell.”

You know, where one out of every four people in the region is of Latino origin, where more than 90% of all Hispanics in Illinois live, where an alarming percentage of the Hispanic youth are dropouts and jobless…

Or, could it be LA, where… oh well, you know...

Anyway, if America doesn't change its 1965 Immigration Law now, we might as well let her collapse on schedule because there won't be any money for anybody - including the Mexicans.

And now Obama’s partnering with the Mexican government to make sure Mexican nationals living in the U.S. don’t miss out on food stamps, even using posters with the Orwellian message: Food Stamps Make America Stronger!

Ay caramba!

Even if we turn the place into a perfectly secure prison, the Latinos are going to outnumber all the other ethnicities soon enough.  It's about birth-rates moreso than immigration, legal or illegal or otherwise.

Just like Israel will be an Arab state in 30 years unless they change their current policies.

If "whitefolk" want to maintain ethnic control over the USA, they're going to have to start reproducing a *lot* more.  I don't think the relatively small evangelical and Mormon sets can handle all the LABOR that's required, if you take my meaning.

The Third World was brought into America under the old John D. Rockefeller Program -- break up the family, break up the country, break up the border, put your competitors out of business, reduce America and the world to plantation status by importing Mexican importance to stop American middle class resistance, leverage the resources and control labor, pay labor what you want to pay them and VOILA!, rule the world with a whip.

The 1965 immigration Act that limited immigrants of European descent and opened America’s borders to the Third World was opposed by the American people two-to-one. It was the most major and destructive change to America's prosperity, stability, labor ethic and culture.

In an issue of The Social Contract, a group of experts assembled by Brenda Walker discussed the significance of the United States’ population passing the 300 million mark. Here is a quote, including one by Theodore White on the 1965 Immigration Act:

“The American public did not choose to go in the direction of India and China. On the contrary, by 1970, America’s population was near stabilization, thanks to a voluntary reduction in the fertility rate. Demographers were optimistic that the United States population would peak at around 247 million by 2030 and then start to decline.

“Against the public interest, at the very time that Americans were adopting population stabilization in their personal lives, Congress opened the door to massive population growth by the 1965 Immigration Act. Historian Theodore White, an admirer of Lyndon Johnson, confessed that the 1965 Immigration Act was ‘probably the most thoughtless of the many acts of the Great Society.’ He went on to admit in his book, America in Search of Itself (1982), the changes brought about by the 1965 Immigration Act may end up being key contributing factors in ‘What could become a catastrophe—the tide of immigration, legal and illegal, pouring into this country. For the under swell, neither the census nor any other authority can provide fully reliable measurements. One starts with the obvious: The United States has lost one of the cardinal attributes of sovereignty—it no longer controls its own borders....’”

Dodging the point, eh?

The history isn't the issue, you can't change that--the FUTURE is the issue.  Your preferred ethnic group is being out-bred by your bogeymen, and there's no data to suggest that this will change anytime soon.

It doesn't require dozens of pages of smarter people's scholarship to figure how this turns out.

So...what are you going to do about it, whitey?  Just SIT THERE?
