Happy Thanksgiving to all
Who is such a miserable human being that they would down arrow "Happy Thanksgiving?"
Good Lord. We are doomed.
Well, do you really want to wish J. Diamon, blankfein, barnanke and the rest of fraudulent banksters and crooks in washongtin a "H T"...
vegans ?
Probably some Turkey.
Indians?
The Pilgrims were bailed out by the Native Americans only to steal from them later.
"These aren't the hopes you're looking for..."
The market trades on fundamentals and technicals. I learned that from the Scotttrade commercial.
And I learned that on ZeroHedge by an astute commenter named Million Dollar Bonus.

The e-trade baby taught me I'd be a smarter, faster trader if I bought a Smartphone...the little bastard.
Especially if you get the Knight Capital algo app to go along with it. No one will trade faster!
The John Hancock commercial mocks the worry-warts by saying the sky still isn't falling. I hate that commercial...keep wishing an anvil would come crashing down on all those vapid wives' heads after they 'tut-tut' their husbands.
Hey Fischer, you forget your paper about noise traders (dumb guys like me) and their effect on the market? Maybe for your name you chose unwisely.
Notice how the S&P 500 corrects in a smaller amount and Benny and co step in to 'save the world'. With a converging sequence of progressively smaller drops will even a 1% correction be tolerated?
Looks like higher prices ahead. Thanks for the chart. Ryming
only if QE8 is anounced.
Almost time to celebrate and go shopping!
Now where's my kevlar vest and football helmet?
They won't work. I've got a new HAL9000 Taser.
Don't even think of grabbing that last sale item from meh..
I have my .45 & Kevlar. I'm just the getaway driver, but I like to be prepared.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Bernanke should dress in red for Christmas.
Dude, he's jewish.
Make that - Bernanke should be drenched in red, pouring out of a hole between his eyes, for Christmas and I'll be with you 100%.
Sounds enchanting but they'd just tag Jamie or get Madoff out of his retirement program.
Exactly. The problem is systemic. Although, I'll admit, that I would love to see Bernanke fighting for scraps of food on the floor of a dungeon with a pack of hungry Rottweilers.
Red like the devil, although I've never seen diablo, although I have seen some reindeer swimming across a fiord.
No, simple black and white would be sufficient. Jail suit or bullseye, take your pick.
Is the 12/12 global save going to be a 25% US, EU & Japanese currency devaluation that will happen over the weekend with a Monday bank holiday to boot. Cool, an extra holiday in December this year!!!
Why does the US need to devalue? They tell me everything is going great.
This market is well offs it's lows.
Have you seen housing stocks lately? That whole HP thing was just an accounting misunderstanding.
GM is back babeee!
That might make you feel better about your recent boating accident.
Semenship is not what it used to be.
Full speed ahead on maximum limit Polyvinyl chloride magnetic stripe interest attached feeding frenzy.
I know how to break the market. I will go all in. I have the absolute worst luck in the world and the second I go all in, I will be guaranteed to lose everything.
SO who wants to backstop my losses so I can still eat?
Me fucking too. Sometimes I think the market has a particular program set just to attack every holding in my account. I keep telling myself nobody can be this wrong all the time, I could throw fucking darts at 100 different stocks and do better.
I have often felt that as soon as my order is filled, the classic digital NYSE tape flashes "Attention: Pareto has just taken 10 out of the money calls on ABX - front month. Lets stop him out." Kinda makes you feel paranoid even just talking about it. lol
Will this insanity ever stop?
Wow, the old school commies would be turning in their graves. To think that their fixed priced market theory via our insane central banks actually took off in the West. Rhythms? History repeating? Yeah...It ends.
Ctrl-P is running low on usefulness. Personally, I don't see more printing working and Bernanke is admitting as much himself when allowed to speak freely. The president and Congress will determine Bernanke's next action though. The bond market will really begin to take notice when the US goes from sterilized QE to out and out printing of the forty billion a month. The reality holding Bernanke back from monetizing I would think is the potential for a further downgrade of US debt. If he prints and we get downgraded all the usefulness will be gone over night with the downgrade. Quite a quandry.
I thought full steam ahead was 85 billion a month....
Well, to be correct we should note that the real influx of money occurs when the US Treasury asks the Fed to print. Bernanke has stated that Congress needs to take responsibility. No idea whether they're just playing good-cop, bad-cop; BUT... it's clear that the Fed is looking more and more like it's being staged to be the one left holding the bag. I've theorized that the Fed will be the black hole of debt, that it'll suck it all up and then implode, leaving the US govt to distance itself by saying that the Fed was "independent."
NOTE: I'm NOT defending any of these scoundrels.
Bernank has the poison with QE, the Markets have the cure.. downgrades, defaults and falling asset prices.
does look like a bull run end year, china PMI is due, if it's over 50 fudge.
might as well ride this.
...or not.
Asia looks f*cked, even on a good PMI print from China
here's good rumor fodder: my little credit union in RI just now "could not process" my electric request to move $4m from my saving to checking...don't believe they will be answering the phones tomorrrow...or maybe until Monday...and who knowz what could happen by then...
when all is too dandy and perfect is the weakest moment for the structure to collapse..... waiting
It's unlikely that we would see an encore performance going into year's end.

Very unlikely, but you never know what the algorithms are capable of - they do seem to have a mind of their own - when decline profits and revenues is bullish.
Speaking of hope, umm, I mean hype...

I'm hearing (msm) energy independence by 2020. We have gone fucking insane...
That's Orwellian doublespeak for, "We'll be energy independent, but since we'll be living in the stone age, the only energy we'll need is open flames to cook our meat..."
Got wood?
The MSM confuses the US with North America, and they think that if you can export enough coal to offset your oil imports on a BTU basis you are winning...
To top it off, they listened to the guy using a ruler to extrapolate the Bakken production....
Note to self. Sell everything a week from Friday.
0217 GMT [Dow Jones] The USD/CNY falls with the yuan hitting the 1% daily upper limit again on heavy dollar selling orders in the market.

The Headline suggests 2011 is the wrong analogy or the right analogy? Or he doesn't want to commit himself...just fun being a wiseguy and posting pictures?
It inspired lots of uninformed comments. So maybe this author deserves a raise and a cushy job at Twitter.
Perhaps the take-away is that some things are better left unsaid?
