Obama On Extending Tax Cuts - Live Webcast

Tyler Durden's picture

In a few minutes - and only a few minutes late - our leader will opine on the topic du jour. While Reid's voice shuddered risk-takers, and Boehner's was perfectly pitched to get the algos juices flowing - we wonder what effect Obama's dulcet tones will have on a now-happy equity market, and if the second-term president is once again merely a catalyst to sell.

So, Let's sing a song of cheer again"

They used to tell me I was building a dream, and so I followed the mob,

When there was earth to plow, or guns to bear, I was always there right on the job.

They used to tell me I was building a dream, with peace and glory ahead,

Why should I be standing in line, just waiting for bread?

Once I built a railroad, I made it run, made it race against time.

Once I built a railroad; now it's done. Brother, can you spare a dime?

Once I built a tower, up to the sun, brick, and rivet, and lime;

Once I built a tower, now it's done. Brother, can you spare a dime?

Obamney gives the markets all they want/need/desire to hear, and this is the best that algos can Boehner/Reed up?

Really? WTF.

Anywhoo, just go on welfare, bitchez. Everyone's doing it.

Going on Welfare

boogerbently's picture

He is one smooth negroe.

What he says sounds logical (vote in what we already agree on) but  that is all he wants, where's HIS concession?

1) Will the increase in revenue be used to pay down deficit, or create new entitlements or augment old ones?

2) STILL no talk about spending cuts.

This is why they won the election, they put on a better show than the GOP.

BO and his ilk couldn't give a fuck less about whiteys' deficits, debts, profits, and balanced budgets. Their all about retribution, picking the pockets of the oppressors, living for today..for as long as they can. Whitey has not 'had enough' yet.

So now he's pushing "My 2k?" The ultimate abandonment of "...ask what you can do for your country." What a fucking turd.

Dan The Man's picture

Look at the "Yes" ppl around him nodding like the lemmings they are.

God i hate them all.

American34's picture

Looks like Obama gave Boehner a bruising.

Ruffcut's picture

Glad the butt muncher took time out to speak with his busy schedule and all.

All the politicos are fiscal shits.

Ooops..."fair and balanced."  Code for "bend over."

Cdad's picture

Let there be dancing....as absolutely nothing was just announced, again.  Good thing nobody is in a hurry to tackle the $16.3 trillion issue.

Oh, and since we are here...just a quick question.  What possible solution is there for that number...that doesn't crush the already dead economy?  I'm all ears.

War. Lots and lots of war.

Queue in 'X-factor' event.

Im waiting for one of these to come our way:

-False flag terrorist event - and masses duped again

-MENA war - and masses duped again

-Natural disaster (man made using haarp technology) and masses duped again

-Significant discovery of some kind that of course, 'they' find. Some texts/documents that will change our philosophy about life as we know it. - and masses get duped again.

-The occult orginization NASA will find something significant on Mars or in space that will change our philosophy - and the masses will be DUPED again.

-Contact from aliens by way of the ISS projecting holographic images and masses duped again. You think the floating hunk of shit in space just measures wind and water currents on the earth?

- But the most probable X-factor event???

Something that we havent covered and you cant study for or research it.

NotApplicable's picture

Yet it has been ingrained within us already via some Hollywood production.

moldygoat's picture

I think the space alien staged event creates the best business cycle. A war on galactic terror would fire up the government spending and have people volunteering to live in FEMA camps.

Probably recycle mars attacks footage and the masses get DUPED again!!!!

A now almost 200 point swing in the DOWsyndrome.

Mission accomplishied.  so sick of this fucking shit.

Republicans and Democrats = Urine.

DaveyJones's picture

At least urine can be used as fertilizer. They're more like urine in the desert - forced to drink by the stranded citizen and as time goes by, they become more and more toxic

CrockettAlmanac.com's picture

Gunpowder Main article: Potassium nitrate

Urine was used before the development of a chemical industry in the manufacture of gunpowder. Urine, a nitrogen source, was used to moisten straw or other organic material, which was kept moist and allowed to rot for several months to over a year. The resulting salts were washed from the heap with water, which was evaporated to allow collection of crude saltpeter crystals, that were usually refined before being used in making gunpowder.[28]

i look at this crap, and logically tell myself, it can't be real...  too pathetic to be real.   this is the truman show or something...   and yet here we are.

Zymurguy's picture

The two parties are negotiating but neither is offering an agreement with the public.

This is what I HATE about shit like this.  They'll change the tax laws, etc. and we'll be forced by the barrel of a gun to pay more "to save our economy" but where is the reciprocal portion of the contract?  Where is the goals and metric upon which their performance with our money is measured?  What is the penalty to those elected officials who don't meet the goals.?

I've seen it stated that our country's financial problems can be solved in seconds - any sitting elected federal employee is ineligible for re-election if our budget isn't balanced and we run a deficit.  Plain and simple.

Since congress hasn't passed a Constitutionally required budget in years when/how can we start filing suit against the government for this?

surf0766's picture

All your money are belong to us.

hedgeless_horseman's picture

You first, Mr. President.

Start with a 50% tax on all bribes campaign contributions.

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change.

TWSceptic's picture

He could start working for free. What's the problem? Jobs worked for $1 /y. BO has made enough with book sales to live.

hedgeless_horseman's picture

What's the problem?

The problem is that bribing an elected official is not only legal, it is encouraged.

"Who's the president of the US of A?  THIS GUY!"

TruthInSunshine's picture

I needed that.

Good thing I don't have pic posting priviliges, because I would compulsively abuse that shit.

surf0766's picture

Does that mean everyone did get bush tax cuts? I thought only the rich got tax cuts..

Harbanger's picture

That was before the election.  The MSM will spin all day for Obama.

UGrev's picture

Hey Chief.. how about you just abolish income taxes and then we won't have to worry about buying what we need.. that owrry will now squarely ride on the gov't and actually budgeting something. You know.. do what we do and actually, fucking, make a budget and stick to it. Douche bags...

Beam Me Up Scotty's picture

If money printing is the answer, then why don't they just print it and use it to fund the government and abolish all taxation??  I'd like to have Dr. Paul Krugman answer that.....

TWSceptic's picture

Because the poor and middle class feel better if they can make gov tax the rich. The rich need punishment for .. well being rich. That'll teach them to create wealth and save more than they spend.

UGrev's picture

His answer would be.. "Uh...to whom can I return the Nobel prize?"
