The block by BAC is most likely due to the new type of cookies that ZeroHedge began installing in our computers in Oct. Most "blogs" - especially those with the ability to chat and/or track searches - are blocked by WBSN, one of the leading web security companies. Clearly, BAC has a policy to block employees from viewing blogs, social media, etc. during work hours. I'm sure BAC blocks FB, too.
Much ado about nothing, methinks.

That's not bad, really. The Canadian prairies often go below -40F. It gets so cold sometimes that urine freezes before it hits the ground, and you can't start a car without a block heater. Due to the conduct of those assholes at Bank America/Countrywide Pawn Shops, and in defense of ZH, I present to all of you a Powerpoint presentation entered in to evidence in NY State Supreme Court last week, in the case of MBIA v Countrywide Pawn Shops currently known as B of A. I draw everyone's attention to page 102, labelled "Contract Standard v Countrywide Standard", which explains rather simply that the only way B of A would buy back a fraudulent mortgage (almost all of Countrywide's were, according to statistical analysis) was if it met the "Red-Faced" standard, meaning B of A had to be so embarrassed and red-faced, they would re-purchase the mortgage; and it's not easy to embarass B of A.

Actually, it is more than a peek. It is an full-blown expose of Countrywide/BAC.
If the evidence is correct, the mortgages were total fraud - start to finish. My personal favorite, of all the scams, is what Countrywide did with the FICO scores. The lower the FICO score, the higher the interest rate the borrower paid, but, the higher the score the higher the price when the securitized mortgage is sold. The evidence shows that Countrywide simply lied about all the FICO scores and indicated they were higher than they really were. (Who really put the LIE in Liars Loans?) In the example cited, the borrower supposedly had a score of 722 (as represented to MBIA and the buyer of the mortgage), but when the file was examined, the real score was 688. MBIA sampled numerous files and every single one of them had an incorrect FICO score. Isn't it really pathetic that B of A/Countrywide parade around as a ligitimate business?

A couple of years ago, my company set zerohedge as a spam site and was blocked. I am in finance and called the tech deparment and asked how the hell am I supposed to sell if the only info I can access is Bullshit!!!

ZH got blocked at ADM today also. My guess is that BAC and ADM use the same firewall system, and it pushed an update today to block ZH. This was worse news than a WARN letter for some of us today.

Well, I'm jealous. The hospital where I work complained I was on ZH during my work hours. I showed them proof it was during my breaks so they blocked the site claiming it was not work related. My husband was so pissed off he bought me an iPad with his bonus money. When they saw I could access the site they changed the wifi password. So I had to get a damn data plan. Now they just sit and seethe and if I take one minute longer on my break or lunch I am written up. Okay so I'm a bit persistent to the point of ludicrous but sometimes you just got to one up the damn sheeple. Pitfalls of the time clocker life.
