And The Time Readers' Choice For Person Of The Year Is...

Tyler Durden's picture

Earlier we presented the person that Time's editors thought is worthy of the title "Person of the Year" 2012. Below, we show a slightly different version of utopic leaders, this time showcasing the person of the year however as elected by Time's readers (and yes, we were just as shocked there are any left). And the winner is...

And for the sake of history, here are some of the previous winners of Time's Person of the Year award (as elected by the magazine, not readers):

Ben Bernanke:

Adolf Hitler:

Joseph Stalin:

Nikita Khrushchev

Ayatullah Khomeini

Boehner Won't Get a Deal Because Obama Wants To Go Over the Cliff

Obama is not interested in avoiding the fiscal cliff. As I have written before, going over the cliff gives him everything he wants: higher taxes, deep cuts in defense spending, and the ability to position himself next year as a tax cutter. More than chalking up a win for the American economy he wants to bring the Republicans to their knees.

I think going over the fiscal cliff is pretty unlikely, gven that it's just one more aspect of the con, however, why would going over it be a bad thing? It's all smoke and mirrors, anyway. +1

His strategy is to let us "go over the cliff", then reverse the taxes on anyone he wants (under $250K, $400K) by Executive Order.

I'm not sure what to call the perversion we now live in, but I wouldn't call it "America," at all...

They don't show much imagination. Well, not until 2010 when Zuckerberg won it.

Just goes to show that not all imagination is a good thing.

One doesn’t recall Pravda ever selecting a man of the year, but it would not have been Solzhenitsyn. It would have been the current tyrant in the Kremlin. Time Magazine’s tyrant, however, is merely a representative of America’s tyrants; and these tyrants not only can pull Obama’s chain whenever they want, they can pull the media’s chain as well.

Much of America’s catastrophic dilemma is due to a controlled media…and, yes, controlled is the operative word. For when Time Magazine and all the rest carry only that information which supports the tyrants, then there’s no other word than control.

Dr. Kent’s Blog likened what’s going on in the USA with Lenin’s Decalogue Manual to Seize Control of a Society “which he used in the 1917 Russian Re-Revolution (The October Surprise) usurping control from the original Russian Revolution which occurred earlier in the spring of that year”:

1.  Corrupt the youth and give them absolute sexual freedom.

2.  Infiltrate and take control of the mass communication media.

3.  Divide the population into antagonist groups; encourage arguments between them over social issues.

4.  Destroy the people’s confidence in their leaders.

5.  Talk all the time about democracy and republic, but when the opportunity arises, seize power as a dictator.

6.   Cooperate with the drainage of public funds; discrediting the image of the country, especially overseas, and create panics within the population through the launching of an inflationary process.

7.   Encourage strikes, even if they are illegal, in the country’s key industries.

8.   Promote riots while conspire to prevent intervention by law enforcement.

9.   Cooperate actively in destroying the moral foundations of society and honesty and trust in the government’s promises.  Infiltrate other parties with your own people, forcing them to vote for what is useful to your own party’s interest.

10.  Register everyone who has firearms, in order to confiscate them when the time comes, preventing them form opposing your revolution.
