One Simple Question You Need To Ask Yourself

Tyler Durden's picture

Via Simon Black of Sovereign Man blog,

Everyone has a catalyst. A breaking point where we finally say, “enough is enough” and finally begin to take action.

Maybe it’s watching your beautiful daughter be sexually assaulted by government agents for having committed the crime of flying to Disney World. Or having some government agency tell you what you can/cannot put in your body. Or having your son’s lemonade stand shut down. Or being sentenced to jail for collecting rainwater.

Many of us, though, are indoctrinated from birth to believe that our country is the best, highest pinnacle of civilization. So we’re programmed to hang on to the bitter end. Instead of taking action at the first sign of danger, we’ll wait… and wait… and wait… until we finally reach our breaking points.

This is unusual for a living species. Animals in the wild have a honed sense of danger. They survive because they listen to their instincts and take immediate action.

We humans, on the other hand, have decades of propaganda clouding our judgment. It’s been this way for most of history, in fact. In the past, we allowed ourselves to be enslaved to single individuals– kings, emperors. Now we’re enslaved by an idea.

This idea suggests that, simply because we happened to be born on a specific piece of dirt, that we can be saddled with obligations we never signed up for… to pay taxes, serve in the military, spend our entire working lives paying down the debts of previous generations, use a corrupt money system controlled by a tiny elite, etc.

The propaganda is so effective that people truly believe these are all the ‘costs of living in a free society…’ As if the society is actually free.

Yes, the West is replete with superficial conveniences– Starbucks-a-plenty, big box retail shops, TGI Fridays, sit-coms, and cookie-cutter subdivisions. But this all seems a pithy yardstick to measure freedom or quality of life.

In addition, the propaganda is so effective that people even ask for their freedoms to be taken away, all so that the ruling elite has more control.

“Please bathe us in radiation to protect us from men in caves…”

“Please conjure infinite money out of thin air to protect us from bank failure…”

And now it seems to be “Please disarm the population to protect us from crazed killers…”

Each time this happens, national dialogue comes to a screeching halt. There is no debate over policy, and any dissent is branded as unpatriotic and disloyal.

History is full of examples of this, starting as far back as the death sentence of Socrates for rejecting the state religion, criticizing Athenian political leaders, and questioning the validity of Democracy.

When a society loses its capacity for intelligent discourse focused on facts and minority-held views… when a people loses the will to question authority… it signals a hastened decline into tyranny.

This is prevalent everywhere in the west today. Topics such as climate change, September 11th, ‘taxing the rich’, gun control, etc. are so sacrosanct that the mere mention of a dissenting opinion is ridiculed.

I understand that a man went on television recently, for example, to argue for freedom and the right to bear arms. He was lambasted on live TV as an ‘unbelievably stupid man’ who doesn’t ‘give a damn about the murder rate’.

It seems quite obvious now. There can be no discussion. And at some point, a reasonable human being has to reflect on the society that has developed around him and wonder, “Do I have anything in common with these people anymore…? Do we share any core values? Or do we simply share the same passport cover?”

It’s certainly a question worth asking... ideally before you reach your breaking point.

Eschew lambastation.

In this piece, Simon Black is really objecting to views put forth by the old media and the political class vs. logical norms.

Perhaps it is time to throw out old media and the political class.

Being fucked up the ass by the banking-food-congressional-executive-legal-police-corporate-medical-military complex is not a strong enough narrative with which to hold a nation together.

You need a stronger story than this, fellas.  Maybe make some calls to Hollywood.

The lie is being exposed and awareness is increasing exponentially.  The shadow government knows this and is scrambling to counter using authoritarian means including rapid destruction of rights and freedom.  They will soon try to censor the ultimate source of resistance, but it is already too late.  Multiple generations are aware and rightly pissed off.  The future will be interesting indeed.

Manthong's picture

Well, at least we have freedom of association in this country..

Oh, wait..

Anusocracy's picture

It all boils down to morals and which culture they originated in.

The hunter-gatherer liberals want their tribal-union-brotherhood, grazing off the environment, property rights for the collective lifestyle.

The pharaonic conservatives want their omnipotent hierarchical authoritarian state, crony faux-capitalism, property rights crumbs for the masses lifestyle.

The freedom culture individualists want their own control of their lives, free-market capitalism, very strong property rights lifestyle.

The morality of each of these cultures dictates that their way is the best way to survive and prosper.

The  20th century and the USSR showed the first to be an abject failure. The early 21st century and the USA is showing the second to also be a failure.

That leaves the third as the only one standing. Pretty much as how America was founded - by individualists.

Liberty2012's picture

Nice illustration - Thank you

So the trick is for each group to do as they want without forcing the other two. Hunter-gatherers wll not be comfortable with Individualists freedom, but they should be able to let them be free.

The dishonest payment system is the root dynamic that forces increasingly worsening choices on people, destroying freedom in a nearly invisible manner.

Truth => Individual => Responsibility = Freedom

Everything good in life requires free will

Merry Christmas

Anusocracy's picture

Exactly. The dishonest payment system is what powers the crony faux-capitalist government organism.

Morgan explains to Ted Nugent that he would "love to suck on his machine gun"????  Wow, that's a great strong-arm tactic Piers....

One simple answer...Texas.

If at first we don't secede, try, try again!

I was on my way to Puerto Rico on a 24 city run
They promised me the world that's what I got
'Cause Texas is a world all of its own
It takes a lifetime to drive from Eastland to Van Horn
He said didn't you hear my siren whine
I been chasing you since the Jim Hogg County line
I was thinking real hard about tenderin' my notice
But the bills came in and piled up to my chin
Paul called and said we're on our way to Rhome
This tour's gonna save your happy home
Now we're going to:
London, Liverpool, Italy, Paris, Egypt, Dublin, Frisco, Waco,
Athens, Gouldbusk, Troy, and Miami, Moody, Beaumont, Edinburgh, Lubbock
Pecos, Deadwood, Fife, del Rio,
Houston, Austin, all around Dallas
Texas is a world all of its own

Great track from Chris Rea...

Reminds me of this one when I was 5 or 6.  Mum and Dad playin it on some real vinyl....memories :)

Let's see how TPTB's agenda plays out 'disarming' Texas.

astoriajoe's picture

Texas seems pretty okay with determining what you can put in your body.

Also, within 100 miles of the boarder (including ocean) the border patrol can still pull you over and even detain you.

The just-right-bed at the three bears' house is a little small for all of us.  Where do you recommend to make a stand?

tradewithdave's picture

Try Procrustes bed. No standing necessary.

I seem to recall something about State-enforced vaccinations, too, but I don't have kids, so who cares?

e_goldstein's picture

Gardasil. Brokeback Perry's 2nd favorite way to kill people.
The first being lethal injection.

"Texas seems pretty okay"

Nope. The officers involved have already been suspended from duty. Texans are definitely NOT okay with being molested by a lesbian cop on the road side in plain view.

Hedgeless: Do NOT be advertising Texas all over the countryside. My place in Sabine County will be overrun. There are already HUNDREDS of people living in the county. It's getting so I can't hardly hear myself think.

Calmyourself's picture

Suspended, wow, for sticking her fingers in that womens vagina and anus, suspended ooh sounds tough.  She should be arrested and thrown in general population to await her rape / molestation trial.  If she is not charged the ladies husband should pay a visit.

Overfed's picture

Anyone else (well, not employed by our masters) would be in jail awaiting trial for sexual assault.

Yes, just take a look at one of their idols, Lance "where is the syringe?" Armstrong.

This is the kind of guys you can get from the 'american' Texas, all okay with injecting and still fancying himself a honest world champion when he is an 'american' man.

trav777's picture

every pro athlete is on PEDs

Another legacy of 'Americanism' to the world.

It might be the case by the way of 'american' athletes.

Nobody has done as much for drugs usage as 'americans'

and if by that you mean French cyclists and german soldiers, then I guess I agree

East German athletic coaches.

I don't remember ever agreeing with AnAnonymous, but he did hit that one on the head.  Steroids, grass, prozac, blood pressure medicine, ritalin, fluoride, take your pick of anything else;  Nobody has done as much for drugs usage as 'americans'

mkhs's picture

Wow.  What an egotistical asshole.  The Indians, south Asia, know more about grass and drugs then is dreamnt in your atrophied brain.

funny two guys form the two biggest hypocrit countries battling it out over PED's. FLance vs Rance. Back away from the syringe back away

AnAnonymousitizen shatletes are the mattering thing.  The crustiest.

Alas, alas, just have to bear with it.

true story.  I was getting my haircut and I told my hairdresser that I had a new kitten, and we named him "Lance" because he has only one testicle (one was undescended).  She started laughing so hard she...well, had to go to the bathroom.  Turns out she used to cut Lance Armstrong's hair when he was in high school.

Dont drive I 10 thru sierra blanca TX. Got to spend the night in same jail cell that snoop dogg and willie nelson stayed in.

Border patrol agent "we are here to search your car for illegals...". That is until their dog jumped in my back seat.

machineh's picture

This infamous celebrity trap is a perfect example of how Texas will never be free as long as fedgov agents still have free rein.

Federal prosecutors still jail Texans for federal crimes, regardless of what local law says.

29 December 1845 (loss of independence) was the day Texas got castrated. It's a steer state now.

Darksky's picture

Believe it or not the feds didnt want to deal with me. The hudspeth county sheriff wanted me. He wanted the tow and impound fee for my car and they wanted the fine i paid at my court date. Twice a month a traveling judge shows up and approx 60 people line up and plead guilty to misdemeaner possession and they drop the felony. They fine you anywhere from $1000-$1500 and send you on your way. Courtroom is full of people from Cali so sheriff doesnt want to deal with feeding them for 2 months. Way i figure it that county would be broke if they shutdown that checkpoint. Judge laughed when the prosecutor read "he had a small amt of maryjane and a boatload of cookies and butter". Lucky for me they couldnt weigh the cookies in my belly!

Not bitching about Texas. Born and raised there, left for awhile and now I'm back and will never leave. Most important piece of paper i own is my Texas birth certificate.

I live a couple hours south of the Canadian border, and I've seen border patrol vehicles pull people over on the highway here as well.

Divorce is the answer.

When two people or two groups (or 5 groups) of people that live in close proximity to each other no longer share common values, common heritage, common language etc then it is only a matter of time before one party decides the other party should no longer occupy "their" space and the killing begins.

So, before the killing begins, we should divorce ourselves from the people the social contract (we never signed) says we are obligated and/or responsible for.

Life is too short to spend it with people you dont like.

I have this new idea for a form of government.  Its called "Representative Republic" (patent pending).  In this new fangled system of government, small nations (lets call them "states") would be responsible for the citizens within their geographical boundries.  They could even have their own currencies, own laws, own forms of government.  Those states could work together cooperatively for the common defense of each other (safety in numbers) against threats foriegn and domestic.  These states would then be united in a common cause (self defense, commerce etc).  But the real power would be left to the individual states.

I know, its totally crazy, but under the right circumstances, it. just. might. work.

Karlus's picture

But wait, I dont want a divorce. I dont wan them to take half my shit. They did not build that. I dont want to divide the country and make us easier to attack. I dont want them messing up their area and then coming to mess up mine.

My preference is settling this the only way two deeply divided idelogies can. The useless eaters can choose to join productive society and contribute...or not. They have a choice. As do I. My choice is not to service them anymore.

And then there will be peace.

trav777's picture

so you want a divorce but you don't want a divorce?

The useless want you to work for them and they are willing to use violence to compel you.  Divorce is coming whether you want it or not.

Rogue Trooper's picture

Hence, how important it is for 'them' to disarm the population.  TPTB must look at the UK with such envy...... the UK started that journey after WW1 when the troops were demobbed.

Once the new 'Biden Rules' are put in place will be interesting to see if folks give em up 'peacefully'?

CompassionateFascist's picture

Neo-conz (incl NRA crowd, which is all about "deer rifles") would pony up, HardRights...will shoot back with assault weapons. Obama knows this, which is why he "appointed a Commission". To do precisely nothing. The Stalinist gun-grab will come only with System Collapse and Martial Law.
