One Simple Question You Need To Ask Yourself

Tyler Durden's picture

Via Simon Black of Sovereign Man blog,

Everyone has a catalyst. A breaking point where we finally say, “enough is enough” and finally begin to take action.

Maybe it’s watching your beautiful daughter be sexually assaulted by government agents for having committed the crime of flying to Disney World. Or having some government agency tell you what you can/cannot put in your body. Or having your son’s lemonade stand shut down. Or being sentenced to jail for collecting rainwater.

Many of us, though, are indoctrinated from birth to believe that our country is the best, highest pinnacle of civilization. So we’re programmed to hang on to the bitter end. Instead of taking action at the first sign of danger, we’ll wait… and wait… and wait… until we finally reach our breaking points.

This is unusual for a living species. Animals in the wild have a honed sense of danger. They survive because they listen to their instincts and take immediate action.

We humans, on the other hand, have decades of propaganda clouding our judgment. It’s been this way for most of history, in fact. In the past, we allowed ourselves to be enslaved to single individuals– kings, emperors. Now we’re enslaved by an idea.

This idea suggests that, simply because we happened to be born on a specific piece of dirt, that we can be saddled with obligations we never signed up for… to pay taxes, serve in the military, spend our entire working lives paying down the debts of previous generations, use a corrupt money system controlled by a tiny elite, etc.

The propaganda is so effective that people truly believe these are all the ‘costs of living in a free society…’ As if the society is actually free.

Yes, the West is replete with superficial conveniences– Starbucks-a-plenty, big box retail shops, TGI Fridays, sit-coms, and cookie-cutter subdivisions. But this all seems a pithy yardstick to measure freedom or quality of life.

In addition, the propaganda is so effective that people even ask for their freedoms to be taken away, all so that the ruling elite has more control.

“Please bathe us in radiation to protect us from men in caves…”

“Please conjure infinite money out of thin air to protect us from bank failure…”

And now it seems to be “Please disarm the population to protect us from crazed killers…”

Each time this happens, national dialogue comes to a screeching halt. There is no debate over policy, and any dissent is branded as unpatriotic and disloyal.

History is full of examples of this, starting as far back as the death sentence of Socrates for rejecting the state religion, criticizing Athenian political leaders, and questioning the validity of Democracy.

When a society loses its capacity for intelligent discourse focused on facts and minority-held views… when a people loses the will to question authority… it signals a hastened decline into tyranny.

This is prevalent everywhere in the west today. Topics such as climate change, September 11th, ‘taxing the rich’, gun control, etc. are so sacrosanct that the mere mention of a dissenting opinion is ridiculed.

I understand that a man went on television recently, for example, to argue for freedom and the right to bear arms. He was lambasted on live TV as an ‘unbelievably stupid man’ who doesn’t ‘give a damn about the murder rate’.

It seems quite obvious now. There can be no discussion. And at some point, a reasonable human being has to reflect on the society that has developed around him and wonder, “Do I have anything in common with these people anymore…? Do we share any core values? Or do we simply share the same passport cover?”

It’s certainly a question worth asking... ideally before you reach your breaking point.

Here is the rub .... so called celebraties like this wanker, who are nothing more that 'useful idiots' for TPTB, will be left stranded and caught in the cross fire.  He better have a well thought out dodge plan that does not rely on so called promises 'cause he may not be getting a seat for that secure, well covered, ride on the Gulf stream V when the time comes.

You can reclaim your mind and calm your spirit by cutting out all TV and radio, and limiting your internet time. Read only the best books, school yourself, and network and help out your friends and neighbors more than you do now. Support local producers. Cut free from the matrix wherever possible. Take charge of yourself, your family, and your community.

I canceled TV a year ago, and I am loving it. I've also updated my host file to block every internet ad server. I haven't seen an ad in over a year. When I need something, I search for it.

This is the way to live.

Problem is we're preaching to the choir.

One other thing: I take everything I read on ZH with a grain of salt. Anti-establishment news has an agenda/propaganda in it, too. There's a bunch of BS written on here, RT.com, etc. I've questioned ZH on a lot of articles but have never gotten a response. Just thumbs down for questioning. That's scary.

ZH is in one form or the other just a branch of the MSM but some of the comments, links, insights and leads are priceless towards pealing off the layers of deception, every time moving further away from the cheap version of "reality" that is imposed on us.

What's so civil about war anyways?

GnR

Did you wear a black armband
When they shot the man
Who said "Peace could last forever"
And in my first memories
They shot Kennedy
I went numb when I learned to see
So I never fell for Vietnam
We got the wall of D.C. to remind us all
That you can't trust freedom
When it's not in your hands
When everybody's fightin'
For their promised land

And
I don't need your civil war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh
I don't need your civil war

What's the country's single biggest problem domestically?

I think the Federal Reserve Act and its fruits is first, second and third.  From it stems the ongoing theft of wealth from productive activity to captial/fiat lending, the war empire, and indirectly, the subjugation of American foreign policy to the Bill Kristols of this world.

If I'm right - pretty much everything else is a distraction.

The issuing power should be restored to The People, to whom it properly belongs.

now, back to propagandist. the u.s also rounded-up goebbels',`gerbil hives & network cages' for useful purposes after wwii!

quote:  [note: William Howard Taft, Teddy's successor, was allied to the Rockefeller camp... where Morgan [Rail Road's & monopoly's, etc.,] and Rothschild's were longtime allies-- respect history?// Taft??]              "Supporters of [Teddy-N.Y. In the same year Straight and his heiress wife, Dorothy Whitney, founded the weekly magazine of opinion, [  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_Republic#Notable_contributors  ] The New Republic, symbolizing the growing alliance for war and statism between Morgans and variations [various] of the more moderate (i.e., non-Marxist) progressive and socialist intellectuals."   end __ m.n. rothbard c.1984

San Francisco: The Al Bundy Economy

The only thing funnier than critters here lining up to buy the latest shoes off the boat is the attitude of the salesmen. It's an Al Bundy fantasy. You can actually get laid here for selling shoes at 50X cost.

What that should tell you is that:

You can replace the empire with a program of any legal and accounting set that results in a distribution of delays, in a programmable positive feedback loop of positive feedback loops, and your costs will plummet, your control will increase, and your economic activity will skyrocket, because all the make workers – lawyers, accountants, CEOs, public administrators, etc. will be able to shop 24 hrs/day. Just assign them to work at home.

We can do things the easy way, or the hard way...

Here's another funny trait of 'americans'

You know, they are obsessed with be rounding up to be put into closed areas. They fancy their government to spend money on preparing for that outcome.

Quite funny because 'americans', with their like minded spirit stuff, do the job by themselves.

It is another dimension of the 'american' fantasy. They need to fancy an exterior world in order to give sense to their 'american' human life conception.

I have a few points to make:

  • The current global monetary system is not just an "American" problem, it's a global problem.  Know your friends.  Don't go around blowing up tax farms full of potential friends just because your superior (in the NWO forces) told you to do so.
  • Before considering taking "action", please spend the better part of 10 minutes researching previous attempts to take "action" and satisfy yourself that your "action" is not going to further an alternative agenda and backfire on you.

As a side point, I feel that in order to take any form of action, one must drop the current idea of tribalism.  I don't think external characterics and traits are the best means of associating with other members of the species.  Rather, it should be based on sharing similar opinions and points of view.  The people and the man-made, arbitrarily delineated tax farm I was delivered in do not represent me or my values so pray thee tell me, why should I be patriotic to it?  My devotion is to my ideals, I think it safe to say, our ideals, not the tax farms.

Excercising some "common sense" before taking "action" is not such a bad idea, really.

PS.

"Do we share any core values? Or do we simply share the same passport cover?”"

"Elites" don't have passports and I can't wait till I don't need one (or any form of subject-tagging mechanisms).

Oh, but these days, there is certainly no shortage of people around the world sharing the 'american' values. 'Americanism' has been spreading around and after 236 years, it has spawn quite a lot of 'americans'

The very idea, the 'american' idea that people who share the same core of values forcefully go together well, is as most things 'american' another cheap propaganda attempt.

Anyone sharing the 'american' core of values can not stand another 'american'.

'Americans' can not bear each other. Throughout their history, they have always needed a third party to act as a buffer and bring conciliation.

When one runs a business of extorting the weak, farming the poor, tensions are eased thanks to the extorted and the farmed.

When the latter meet their exhaustion point, suddenly, it is not all that good to live in a society of extorters of the weak, farmers of the poors.

Even though all of them agree on their core values: extorting the weak, farming the poor.

Welcome to an 'american' world.

Yeah America isn't what is used to be, but the problem isn't socialism, not yet.  But we'll get there.

Think you are taxed to death?  Taxes in America are on the lower end of advanced countries.

Think we have a welfare state?  Welfare spending is much lower than other countries.

Think we have government control?  Government bails out companies, but it doesn't own them.

America is probably best described in its current state as a corporatist Empire.  One that is going bankrupt by also trying to be socialist at the same time.

Americans have forgotten how to pick their poison.  We want to be both corporate serfs and government serfs.

The hardest "poison" of all is freedom and accepting all of the consequences thereof.

Americanism must be an all inclusive term you use to agitate Americans. The Americanism you speak of crosses all lines of nationality and race, which the root of is greed, self-centeredness and a lack of conscience. Certainly something that is not isolated to just America as I've been to China numerous times and been well outside the manicured streets of the big cities into those places just beyond the thick greenbelts that hide the real China. Beyond those greenbelts lie the mountains of refuse and building detritus to where the real Chinese person labors stooped over his small plot of land until finally their backs give out.

Furthermore, the Americanism you speak of manifests itself most starkly in your homeland by the lack of nearly any compassion for fellow man, even extending to children. A fine example of what I'm speaking of is the child Yue Yue which occured when I was in China.  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/china/8830790/Chinese-tod...

It's all a cycle just like the Mayan calendar, all cycles come to an end so the next cycle can begin anew.

Your depression regarding America's state of being and it's current occupant's cognitive ability is only a reaction to the point of the cycle we are currently experiencing. Creative Destruction is proceeding as it should weeding out the naive, weak and the stupid, at some point the cycle will trend to Destructive Creation.  Make room for the new by eating the fools.

America's time is coming to a close just as the Roman Empire did, and yes it will linger for a time dreaming of past glories much like Britain and France do today.  Did you really think this would go on forever?  It's time to look elsewhere...

Nay. 'Americans' have worked successfully to make it different this time.

No empire before descended while facing a depletion of resources on a global scale.

'Americans' are all about kicking the can. Hence their love for that cyclical stuff.

But this time, gas is going to lack a bit to restart a new cycle.

'Americans' crafted a concept for that stuff: end of history.

Say thank you, Mr. 'American'.

It was trying to find the answer to these questions, and getting nothing but blank stares and patronizing grins that has brought to the point I am at. That is, "like a snail, crawling along the razor's edge".

I have given a name to my pain, and it is NWO.  You see, you can't win anyway, they hold the winning card, the wild card, the joker; and they can make it anything they want it to be.

"See, there were these two guys in a lunatic asylum...and one night, one night they decide they don't like living in an asylum any more. They decide they're going to escape! So, like, they get up onto the roof and there, just across this narrow gap, they see the rooftops of the town, stretching away in the moonlight...stretching away to freedom. Now, the first guy, he jumps right across with no problem. But his friend, his friend daren't make the leap. Y'see...y'see, he's afraid of falling. So then, the first guy has an idea...He says 'Hey! I have my flashlight with me! I'll shine it across the gap between the buildings. You can walk along the beam and join me!' B-but the second guy just shakes his head. He says... he says 'What do you think I am? Crazy? You'd turn it off when I was half way across!'"

How do you organize a march or revolution when the only people you trust to have your back only exist on a blog?  Do you really trust your neighbors?  If you do trust them, would they support the cause?  Sigh.  The only way it could be done is for people like us, the "lunatics" to hang flyers for a rally, gather at a square, cash in some coin, and all fly to DC to march.  And how successful have marches been in the last few years?  Interesting dilema.  Do we collectively go over the edge and storm DC?  Peacefully?  Although, I don't partake in social media, facebook and such, it would be the more effective means of spreading the word, the plan.  After all, I do think a lot of us have the heart and the will, we just don't have the plan.  My pain has a plan, that's the difference between it and me.  It's always planning, scheming, plotting.  Plans, plans, plans, them and their goddamned plans.  Without a counter plan, nothing can be done.  Therein lies the problem, coordination.   One small step for man..........

If anyone says the word, I'm in, I got your back.  Would it be such a monumental task?  Such a big deal?  Egyptians do it every month.  If only Americans had their passion for democracy.

Walk like an Egyptian.

In just the last 25 years {not that long ago to an old fart like me}, I have seem a sea-change in this country. I don't even recognize it at all from the nation of my youth {1950s}. All of the values that made this country great have been tossed into the trash bin. What replaced them is disgusting to any decent person. We now have a nigger culture. It was put in place by the elites and Jews who control our media, entertainment and education systems. Sadly, our young people adopted it, trading it in place of one of dignity, responsibility and respect for self and others. I don't see how it can be returned to a better place without a spiritual revival. I only see a steady march toward Babylon. Indeed, the US is believed to be the nation referenced in the book of Revelation as the "daughter of Babylon" and "The Great Whore". Seems to fit. Funny how back in the 1960s-70s, people had little trust and love for the federal government. Now it is viewed by many as their father. What a difference a couple of generations and Rothschild money makes.

The push toward multi-culturalism impedes spiritual revival - and that started in the 60s, maybe earlier - do your own thing man, do your own thing.

+100.

I, too am past the point of even trying to co-exist with vermin who wish to destroy everything good.

God-given, or if you are secular, Natural-evidence Law has given away to perversion of common sense and disrespect of others, of a man's honest labor, his property, and his Free Beliefs!

Like my hero, Andrew Jackson, I would never want the Union dissolved- but Jackson made allowances if the Federal abused the States.

Are we to dissolve into "red" vs "bleu" (metrosex spelling)?

Jackson believed the Militia of the States was sacrosanct.

All I know is I don't want to be around National Socialists, or any kind of Globalists.

But, where do we go?

Will this land be the last dying gasp of Freedom-loving People for the next 1,000 years?

I pray for Hope, not Chains.

Oh, and Fuck You, Banksters!

There is no such thing as a right to form a government.

Rights are made up. They are mentalist constructs created as instruments of control. Like the Divine Right of Kings.

Eventually, the hoi polloi reached the conclusion that they could use the concept ot rights to control the state.

Didn't work out very well. Rights are currently entitlements.

awesome, Soverign Man.

i was gonna post on banzai's place last night.  probably best i didn't; as it was the first time i've drank in a quite a while.  i tried to, but his post was, for some reason, inaccessable.

anyway, i've been doing some reflecting...reflecting on these very ideas you reference.  and as they specifically relate to 'family', i've had to confront some realities that are, in a word, painful.  but in confronting them, and appraising them in the blinding light of Truth, i came upon a certain wholeness.  i truly don't feel the need to drink anymore; at least not heavily.

so in my sober state, and seeing the world around me for what it is, i've been hard a work on a little book.

it will be titled "The Grievous Angel"...four parts, five chapters each; and, of course, an epilogue.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PytxPaU6k4

it is the story of an arch-villain, who goes about making an artform of revenge.  he, my hero, is a bad guy; because all of this shit in amorica is soooo goddam good.  well, i won't get into any more of it...it's pretty fuckin good.  craziest thing is, it's all true.  some of you zhealots may recognize one or two of the anecdotes within.

just to give you a taste, here are the titles of my first 5 chapters:

Part I -- Look Homeward Angel

1. The Natural Order

2. Lucifer is a Buick

3. I Am Become Death, The Destroyer of Worlds

4. Now I Go The Way of All The World

5. Seven Times Seventy

Part II -- A Mustard Seed...

you get the point.

so i go about revenge by telling the Truth.  I'll do nothing wrong; and will be hated for this very reason.

I forgive you amorica.  Now comes the healing.

think of the great event of 12/21/12 as being an infection of sorts...a tiny virus has just invaded humanity.  you are sick; and you don't even know it yet.

here's some tunes to kick it all off:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJlN9jdQFSc

and, to my true family, i look forward to meeting you all; and I love you -- you are everything:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6e-LF21yFWM

i'm making myself a sort of spokesman for awesome people...they are typically too polite to tell most of you how much you suck...so, here's one on that note (suck it, haters):

and, last but not certainly not least, Happy Birthday, Jesus!:

Yes, we are in a time of some friction and debate. We have been here before. Politics every 4 to eight years. Financial melt down every 100 years or so. Debates over wars, civil rights, slavery, women’s rights, gay rights, animal rights, fraud, Bad Banks and more Bad Banks and Even worse Bad Banks all over again, gun rights, States Rights, and on and on.

Yes, we do need to oppose dictatorial powers in what ever form they appear. Yes, we need a reliable news dissemination system and a sacred Freedom of speech in all areas. Yes the Nation has become more diverse not only in religions, language, nationalities, economic models and you name it. We are shifting from a Euro, white Christian/Jew domination to more diversity. The corruption and inequities that have always existed are not better known due to electronic communication. We are over supplied with information and under I.Q.ed for the task of interpreting and filtering what we see, read, and hear. It may be that we are separating into class structures again based on smarts. The Union Middle Class may have had its day. Life is fluid and dynamic. Push on or be overrun.

"It’s certainly a question worth asking... ideally before you reach your breaking point."

Do not reach you breaking point, this is all they are waiting for: they set you up (everything is designed this way, contrary to any shred of decency) - you snap and do something stupid - they pounce and get you in a corner, gaining two-fold: 1. you get punched in the face, never to rise again and 2. make an example out of you, keeping others in check, re-enforcing the paradigm. After a short time of respite, in fact a period of consolidation of the new status quo they will just move the goal posts again, seeking to trigger a new breaking point, on the never ending road to oblivion.

My advice: do not get emotionally invested in this game, at all, see it for what it is and just smile and wave. Better still, use it for your advantage and milk their game as much as possible, but without getting too much attached to it, remember, goal posts will inevitably be moved.

Just my 2 cents.

For a while now I have seen myself as a man that time has left behind. I was raised to be a man of my word, that honor and integrity were what defined a man. My handshake means more to me than a signed contract. I refuse to buy into this gimcrack flash/bling culture. As time passes I have become an anachronism. Selfishness and self centered thinking have become the norm. America has left me behind. I will not change. My core convictions, that which defines the man I am are all I have. I live my life knowing that I am here for a reason, to learn something new each day, and to help my fellow travelers on the path we travel together. The principles that define "who I am" cannot be disregaurded. My path is cast in stone. I will not change, though that may doom me to perdition.

In life there will be troubles a plenty, but a clear conscience is more precious than wealth or power. I do not envy those who compromise themselves and as it is said, they surely know not what they do. I suspect the fascination with zombies stems from widespread inner corruption, people can relate to being so detached they can no longer identify their sense of purpose, will, or self.

This 2nd Amendment issue puts in clear focus the danger all traditional Americans are in under the Mulatto Marxist and his Cabal. They want to disarm the traditional Americans so they can get to their next step: the ELIMINATION of said demographic. We have seen the rise of the Bankster-Hollyweird  cultural and media elite with an Asian technocratic elite, witness the Silicon Valley where Aisans hire only their own and the White workers have to train their Asian replacements to get their severance, IN CALIFORNIA, THE USA.

No, I have nothing of significance in common with 99% of human beings.  Realistically, probably more like 99.999% or 99.9999% or 99.99999%.  Therefore, being realistic, perhaps 7000 sane humans exist.

Furthermore, I do not consent to be governed. Never have.  Never will.

What prevents most human beings from understanding the entire joke is their inability to understand that abstractions are mental units.  Abstractions are only real as mental units, meaning configurations in the brain, but not real as something "out there" in the world.  Abstractions can be useful as mental units to help us organize and relate the real individual entities in the world that do exist.  That is their only coherent, valid, sane application.

Thus the following do not exist: any government, any corporation, any supposed position in any government or organization.  And the list goes on, and on, and on, and on.  None of it is real.  It is all utterly, totally, completely fiat, fake, fiction, fantasy.

More than 99% of human beings are clinically insane.  This is not hyperbole, not in the least bit.  The single most extreme form of insanity is an inability to distinguish real-from-fiction, existent-from-nonexistent, something-from-nothing.  Yet far more than 99% of human beings are utterly incapable of this most simple and fundamental feature of sanity.

The entire world is populated in completely wacko crazed chimps.  Dressing crazed chimps up in fancy clothes and putting them behind a desk or behind the wheel of a car does not make them sane.  No, it only makes them more dangerous.

Yes, I definitely have essentially nothing of importance in common with more than 99% of human beings.  And neither does any other sane being.

I have reached very similar conclusions. My cohort of like-minded people is probably the same size as the cohort of supercentenarians in the world. The social baggage that developed over the last million or so years is, alas, sadly lacking in me.

My mind is primarily guided by abstract logical thinking, not emotionalism, and a healthy disdain for people that have one foot in the animal world and the other foot on a banana peel. High-function chimps they are, the thinning agent in the thin veneer of civilization.

As to the insanity of the masses, I consider the Social Brain to be the Psychopathic Spectrum Brain, where its basis is the manipulation, control, and use of other people as objects. Survival adaptations that developed in the animal world and applied to your fellow man is not a very human thing to do, yet it underpins almost everyone's behavior.

Most people can easily displace the knowable, separate, outside world with the model they create of it in their minds - they conflate public knowledge with private knowledge. When they do that, they open themselves up to others creating their reality.
