O NOEZ! We pumped it so hard we BROKE it!
Sell the snews biatchez!
This was a classic headfake! To the cliff boyz!
And who are the fucking lemmings here?
HO HO HO
CRAPPY NEW YEAR!
Everyone just buys because it's been so long they've forgotten how to sell.
Buy with customer's money.
Sell to friends.
What could go wrong?
Poll time.
Give me an up arrow if you think the US stock markets are going to be up at the end of Wednesday's trading.
Down arrow if you think they will be down.
My take on all of this so-called fiscal cliff nonsense is that stock market confidence is paramount above all else.
The Dow is like the canary in the coal mine...
I think the volume is more of a canary than any specific level. Maybe someone can create a model that considers both and put more weight on the volume.
The DOW is the carbon monoxide.
Fuck this asshole 'market'! GOLD AND SILVER, BITCH!
It's so far gone quotes aren't even enough anymore.
When the market is going up, all is well. If it drops at all, we say it must be a broken market...unless it is in the precious metals of course...
I did that to a chick once
Wall Street version of the Ball Drop
I pumped you mom so hard, I broke her.
And on New Years Eve, too.
Are you watching the same markets I'm watching?
They're spiking.
A backroom deal must have been reached.
We don't know about it. But the powers-that-be have the info.
More insider trading.

Gangum Style......
More like gangbang style. It's our government and Fraud street who are running the train on us.
Best way to fight back is not to let them finish the job.
Such utter total fucking bullshit nonsense!
...must....JAM.....Quotes!
like I said from earlier.....did i miss anything except for the market breaking?
____________________________________________________________________________________
i know the feeling....but i think we all know the script here;
just enough talk to keep the markets green during cash hours, then more corkeresque headlines over the holiday, all to bide time for the 85bil to prop markets in time to soak up all the incoming 2013 first of year/month/flows blah blah blah ensuring that all shorts are crushed and the <whisper> short selling ban stays in effect.
I almost left out the part where TPTB makes sure trading revenues are not interupted the remainder of 2012 for bankster bonus purposes by using headlines and keeping resolution in limbo, and to use AAPL/BAC to keep S&P above 1400 for same reasons.
nice line
Huh...and yet I was reading all year that the extraordinary blatant market pumping and data rejiggering was 'for the elections'...and right after that then we'd see 'reality' come rushing back in and the bloodbaths etc. Oh well guess not.
One evening indeed... Read it and contemplate it.

Tyler, love the site and all but maybe some here might be getting it a little wrong...we are not going to walk around with gold in our wallets this lifetime....that should get me 50 red arrows.
Maybe not, but if you're lucky, you'll be walking around with paper notes readily exchangable for gold or silver, like US currency used to be. If you're not lucky, you'll be pushing electronic wheelbarrows.
maybe i just don't get what you are saying..
Like wheelbarrows of Deutschmarks or Zimbawbe dollars yet no tangible currency - no paper or coin - only binary digits in an account somewhere that can be vaporized overnight.
This is why Federal employees are only paid via direct deposit into a binary non-paper account.
This is why the masses are being weaned off of tangible currency and herded into self-checkout lanes using debit cards or EBT cards or unemployment accounts with a card run by J.P. Morgan Chase.
Our entire societal construct is a ponzi and it is unraveling.
Most of us know that, the argument is in the timing...i think they keep it up for decades, then i'll be gone and won't give a fuck.
Most of us know that, the argument is in the timing...i think they keep it up for decades, then i'll be gone and won't give a fuck.
Maybe you know little or nothing about monetary history, particularly the sordid and invariably collapsing nature of fiat currencies.
maybe we get monetary crisis all the time in South America , and i understand them more than you think?
Dollars lost half their value in ten years, and will the next ten, i still want say 10million dollars...get the point?
No, actually, I do not get your point at all, nor do I suspect do most or all others reading this exchange.
But as a South American, perhaps you can answer a question that I have long wished to pose to somebody from that continent: given that currency debasements, hyperinflations and monetary collapses have been an almost routine feature of your societies in the last several decades at least, WHY do your people still routinely fall for the depredations of your governments in this matter? In other words, why do South Americans appear to STILL put trust in government fiat currencies for their savings, rather than say gold and/or silver?
Je suis Francais. I ignore governments worldwide and have never payed taxes except on my homes and cars. Some of the advantages people have here. More to life than gold and silver. bitchez. happy new year!
Si vous ette Francais, entonces yo soy confundido.
my dad figured out this tax thing decades ago...
Isn't the better question to ask: "why do people worldwide still routinely believe in the promises made by politicians."
I'm continually amazed by it but I think the answer is connected to some human quirk that causes us to become blinded by the appeal of some future-promised-thing.
The greater the appeal the greater potential for blindness and anything that might threaten the promise being fulfilled, must be denied or ignored.
The idea that the promise itself could NEVER possibly be fulfilled (i.e. too good to be true) must be defended against more vigorously because it would short-circuit the whole fantasy right at the moment of conception!
If CogDis is around I bet he could speak to this -- probably even tell me the proper word for such an idea.
"maybe i just don't get what you are saying..
doesnt matter...just keep counting the red arrows....
and........Silver Bitchez....
i should surpass 50. thankyou.
total bullshit
ok maybe i was not the only one ;)
i have paper notes now that are readily exchangeable for gold and silver. ican is full of beans.
You are not going to be walking around with dollars near the end of your lifetime either.
i already took that bet. I'm 44 , sure i have a shitloads of pms denominated in dollars...
you have paper PMs .....NOT physical..you will learn the hard way as many have in the past
again bs, you know nothing about me and my shit.
I know you don't live in Patagonia....you're only visiting....I also know that You have NO physical metal.
You might instead be walking around with a collar attached to a chain in a forced labor camp soon though.
no fema camps in patagonia, come get me and my famas.
The Vampire Squids tentacles reach every orifice of the world even Patagonia.
agree, but here i am the vampire..
You assume they want you alive.
You won't need a wheel barrow if you've got gold. Silver yes, and maybe that's why it's a better bargain. The point isn't to use them as money, even though they are ideal units of exchange. It's to save your wealth so that you aren't always chasing money.
@samcontrol. VERY FEW here expect to use gold as a medium of exchange....they are only trying to preserve wealth in a fiat system debasing....you can maintain you point of view inspite of overwhelming evidence that counterfeiting is the only game in town....one day you may be able to understand why people want something that wil hold its value against debasement.....or.......you can just ignore it and remain ignorant....either way most here could care less what you do....
my point of view changes all the time as it should. I was being a little provocateur, don't know why the name calling.Either way go fuck yourself.
Describing you as ignorant was not intended to be name calling....and I apologize for that..but being ignorant of such a critical trade is an accurate description of you
Do you know the definition of the word provocateur or its root word provoke?
Yes? Oh.
And you cannot understand why someone might respond with name calling?
LMAO -- I don't know if you're trying to be ironic but that is some funny shit right there.
Yet another proud graduate of the Tracy Morgan / Jordan School of Applied Logic.
I think samcontrol could be the last assclown ZH sees for 2012. Congratulations! Idiot.
i really wanted to go out with a bang..more to come in 2013. muack!
How about 23 biatch!!!
ZH'er cruelty......is awesome! :)
Do you have a crystal ball I don´t... The only thing is that we have seen the French paper money " livre" break in 1721 from 6.9 grams of Silver per "livre" in 1709 to 2.55 gram per livre during the crisis. We have seen the currency reform and a new paper money in Massachusetts back in 1737, we have seen the assignats as the new currency break completely lose in 1791-1796 in France. We have seen great volatility in the non redeemable british pound between 1797 and 1821 in the UK during the war, we have seen convertibility suspended in France back in 1848 for a while we have seen the greenback episode until 1866 of suspension of convertibility, we have seen the inflation of World War I and gold embargo of 1817 in the US, and the resulting gold exchange standard putting the derivative (the currency) on same footing as the monetary asset (Gold) -- pure madness -- . The Russian saw 400% inflation into 1917, the German saw weimar in 1921. The Chinese have seen their Silver standard get completely distorted in the 30s, move to paper currency, then get into war and then into hyperfinlation in 1848, etc... etc.. We have seen devaluation of 1931 in the West which led to the liquidation of foreign currency reserve for gold in 1935 (the same is happening today with china and emerging market converting their IOUs for gold). And today this time is different, yeah right... you are maybe right, but I am betting that nothing never ever changes with human nature. Those in power think they are smarter than their elders, that they have invented the philosophal stone and it fails yet again, rinse repeat, put enough time so people can not have memory from direct experience, and hte only way to recreate the memory is though reading history.... The only thing that changes is technology for hte rest we are exactly the same than 300 years ago. Think that paper money is just a evolution of progress? It was tried again and again and again.... happy ignorance year....
What do they think anyway....they'll find retail suckers far higher? WHEEEE here we go looka the markets ZING higher beter BUY BUY BUY!

That's OK just bring on the market close, then we can hear the really bad news coming. Soon as we lock DOW over 13,000 for the year, we're clear.

Short cash; short bonds; buy gold and silver.

I've been saying since 2011 Nov global bailout: The exchanges will be going bankrupt.
NYSE went already bankrupt, nasdaq and cme are next.
Reason:
When there are no stocks avaialable for trading, just little crums here and there, all that money created by the Fed will be fighting over crums like hienas in winter.
Seriously, if you're gonna steal someone's laptop, then don't go online with it.
