Ron Paul To Congress: "Stop Legislating Your Ideas Of Fairness. Protect Property Rights. Protect The Individual"
From Ron Paul
Ron Paul’s New Year’s Message to Congress
As I prepare to retire from Congress I’d like to suggest a few New Year’s resolutions for my colleagues to consider. For the sake of liberty, peace and prosperity I certainly hope more members of Congress consider the strict libertarian-constitutional approach to government in 2013.
In just a few days, Congress will solemnly swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. They should read Article 1 Section 8 and the Bill of Rights before taking such a serious oath. Most legislation violates key provisions of the Constitution in very basic ways, and if members can’t bring themselves to say “no” in the face of pressure from the special interests, they have broken trust with their constituents and violated their oath. Congress does not exist to serve the special interests. It exists to protect the rule of law.
I also urge my colleagues to end unconstitutional wars overseas. Stop the drone strikes. Stop the covert activities and the meddling in the internal affairs of other nations. Strive to observe good faith and justice towards all nations, as George Washington admonished. We are only making more enemies, wasting lives and bankrupting ourselves with the neoconservative interventionist mindset that endorses preemptive war that now dominates both parties.
All foreign aid should end, which is blatantly unconstitutional. While it may be a relatively small part of our federal budget, for many countries it is a large part of theirs and it creates perverse incentives for both our friends and enemies. There is no way members of Congress can know or understand the political, economic, legal and social realities in the many nations to which they send taxpayers’ dollars.
Congress needs to stop accumulating more debt. U.S. debt monetized by the Federal Reserve is the true threat to our national security. Revisiting the parameters of Article 1 Section 8 would be a good start.
Congress should resolve to respect personal liberty and free markets. Learn more about the free market and how it regulates commerce and produces greater prosperity ever than any legislation or regulation.
Understand that economic freedom is freedom. Resolve not to get in the way of voluntary contracts between consenting adults. Stop bailing out failed yet politically connected companies and industries. Stop forcing people to engage in commerce when they don’t want to, and stop prohibiting them from buying and selling when they want to. Stop trying to legislate your ideas of fairness. Protect property rights. Protect the individual. That is enough.
There are many more resolutions I would like to see my colleagues in Congress adopt, but respect for the Constitution and the oath of office should be at the core of every single member’s of Congress due in 2013.

FKN NEWZ 2012 REVIEW
Deek is the reel deel.
Ron Paul is as crazy as the prisoner who escapes from Plato's cave.
Back to shadow puppet theatre for all of you debt slaves.
Warning : Irony can be dangerous to your servitude.
Wasn't Plato encouraging people to free themselves, in essence leave the cave? Ron is warning about the controlling shadows but he doesn't promote leaving the cave.
In my mind Plato would be telling us to get away from the System, from govt. Ron is saying to reduce govt so that it's shadows aren't as controlling, which is really like asking someone to only be a little pregnant.
if you leave the cave, how will you need a leader to hold your hand?
the whole notion of "elected leaders" should be understood as a way to deflect individual responsibility at the most basic levels. particularly since they obviously do not represent, the label does not describe the packaging. and there is the dissonance.
the system does what it is.
It's interesting how McCain was labled the "Maverick" of the repuke party because he went against his party(yeah right), but Dr. Paul is treated like a crazy old bird who is good for entertainment value when he speaks out.
It's always the opposite of what is claimed...
Remember that GW Bush was dressed up as a cowboy from Texas, a macho dude, when in reality he was from an old-money NE family, a cheerleader with a drug and alcohol problem (from which he as "born again" and "saved" - well, I'm all for people kicking monkey's off their backs). And Obama was dressed up as a man of peace and law, when he's become the greatest purveyor of human rights abuses and violator of law. This is just our recent history, one could go all the way back and see similar dissonance.
It's the System! It's where POWER concentrates, which is what it was intended to do- why expect anything different?
Bill Gross just SLAMMED Wall Street! "Death of the Cult of Equities" re-affirmed! WTG Willie!
Congress does not feel obligated to learn anything except whose back to scrub.
If we had a nickel for everytime congress ignored this guy, we'd have a budget surplus.
RP was our last chance to detour off the path of complete collapse... now 'merkanz deserve everything that's coming, and it aint gonna be fun...
I agree with everything you say Ron. I hope you come out someday talking about the real villains and powerful people that exist in and out of Washington.
"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak about their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."
- Woodrow Wilson
He refers to the rotten children of the Rottenchild, does he not?
And Wilson is a fine one to talk, given what he has done himself: signed the Fed Reserve Act in a jiffy.
I've told my children Ron Paul is one of America's last hopes and a true patriot, and to never forget him and his courage to stand and fight the corruption that has overrun the entire system.
Its almost like the last shepherd dog has been taken out, leaving the easily duped and bewildered herd completely vulnerable to the snarling wolves closing in from all sides.
However, we are no longer sheep, my enlightened bretheren.
Let us all be Ron Pauls in our own way, in our own circles of influence.
Fight for liberty every day.
The majority of Americans have no idea who Ron Paul is. Why?--because he has done nothing for them. Americans want FAIRNESS not lip service about individual and property rights which to most means RIGHTS of others--not theirs.
Oh cool, hand feed the peons fairness.
Pity they must be troubled to understand and act on priciples first.
Wow. Are you really this stupid or just another pos agent provacateur?
Everything he has done for decades has been for the advancement of your rights. This is what makes him such an anomoly on capital hill.
You don't seem to understand that he does not inspire many people. He is like a southerner talking about Sate Rights during the civil war. For most of congressional career he was regarded as a racist-right winger with little support or appeal outside militia cliques.
I want fairness but you haven't cut me my check yet. Hater.
I believe that the facts speak for themselves, and it's not a dig against Paul, it's just the facts.
Little corrective legislation has taken place from him- fact.
Yes, he speaks out. Yes, he speaks stuff that we/I like.
BUT... little has changed within govt from his speaking/positions. And, frankly, I'd be kind of worried if it were the other way- power only votes for itself; if there were lots of votes on something that Ron put forward I'd be nervous that power had found a way to exploit it.
Another example of knee-jerking behavior. Little chance for there to be a discussion on the REAL things such as: "how do we ensure property rights w/o also having an abusive govt?"; "how can we make things work in a no-growth environment? [admit that we cannot have infinite growth on a finite planet]"
I'll return us now to "Dancing with the stars," er ah, the "popularity contest"...
I bet you can't define "FAIRNESS".
Fairness can be defined. It's called the Non-aggression Principal. But he's probably either never heard of it, or never really taken an introspective look in the mirror when contemplating it's true meaning.
I believe "fairness" is very often in the eye of the beholder... How do you relate fairness to the idea of redistribution of wealth?
- Those without wealth want their "fair share" irrespective of earning it or not. But those who've earned it through saving, hard work and (often) sacrifice don't think it's "fair" having their wealth taken by the state for redistribution.
- If a person takes on a debt without due diligence and gets into repayment problems, is it "fair" for the rest of society to financially support that person through the tax system?
No the founders indicated that they wanted freedom and individual liberty and that it was therefore necessary to ensure that everyone should have them equally, or none would obtain or retain them.
What we have now are liars who tell us to trust them, and that we don't need freedom and individual liberty, that we should just trust them, that freedom and liberty are to dangerous to be retained by the people but what they really want are slaves. Slaves that will work until death for their benefit instead of the benefit of the individual person.
Sounds quite familiar doesn't it? Almost like you've heard it somewhere before? History does that, it repeats itself over and over and the liar is allowed to win again because others see that there will be personal benefits to them, as opposed to everyone else, if the liar is allowed to succeed. Only later they realize that some guy with a uniform and gun can take all of that away from they, their "friends".
"No the founders indicated that they wanted freedom and individual liberty and that it was therefore necessary to ensure that everyone should have them equally, or none would obtain or retain them."
By declaring that women and non-property owners had less voting power?
The "founders" wanted to be free of British taxation.
It started as a rich white man's club and it's never changed from that.
Yeah, it was a better-looking horse at the glue factory and all, but...
"the liar is allowed to win again because others see that there will be personal benefits to them, as opposed to everyone else, if the liar is allowed to succeed. Only later they realize that some guy with a uniform and gun can take all of that away from they, their "friends"."
Who "allows" the liar to win? And, why does lying work?
It's about "deception!" Humans are deceptive because NATURE is deceptive. This is all no more than a natural outcome/reaction; to expect us to operate any other way is pure fantasy: I'm NOT saying I want it this way, I'm just saying that unless we understand why we do the things we do we're NEVER going to be able to elevate ourselves up to some other level.
The "guy with a uniform" is the guy that enforces "property rights." It all may start quite benign, but it sure as hell never finishes that way.
ALL power gets corrupted and abused. Eliminate the notion of there needing to be a center of power (which even "small govt" is) and you'd go a long way toward reducing corruption and abuse: of course, difficulties would occur in other ways, which they will eventually anyway as we hit the wall of declining resources.
Animals, and most so-called humans, don't have a concept of other's property.
Mine and ours, but not theirs. To me, that marks the boundary between animals and humans. The concept that other people, and other people's property, are not your property, or government's property, is the thin veneer of civilization.
most Americans think Saddam Hussein planned 9/11 too. I don't put much faith in what "most americans" think.
The whole point of the USA being founded as a REPUBLIC and not a DEMOCRACY is exactly because "most American's" are clueless.
The electoral college was to give those who are informed and willing to go through the process to actually vote for those things that are not popular but that are necessary for the country. Most Americans think you just complete a ballot every 2 years and that's your civic duty and your 'vote'. They are not willing to get involved to go the next step.
Unfortunately the electoral college itself is corrupt. But the intention was sound.
The same process occurred at the RNC, the electoral college votes were literally stolen from Ron Paul and either negated or given directly to Romney.
His focus and ideas are spot on and it is a shame that he didn't have the stage prescence of a Reagan or Clinton to get the message across.
I hope he doesn't but I fully expect Ron Paul to commit suicide at this point as Cato the Younger did instead of submitting to tyranny following the death of the Roman republic.
Really sucks he's the only person with any fucking balls.
Brains that is. A bunch of frickn' jelly fish.
There are no other people in the entire world with balls? Or, are you saying within the "den of thieves?"
Shouldn't it be clear to even those with the poorest of eyesight that Congress (govt) does not require nor want people with "balls?" POWER is controlling things, and puppets are only there to dance, to distract, to deceive the masses so that POWER can continue to suck away at the lot of us.
and lamentations show just how embedded the role of "leader" has played this, and every election cycle.
oooh who will speak these words now that Ron can't? who will be there for us when He goes? who can we laud as our saviour?? whose T-shirt can we ever wear?? to who shall we turn??
seriously *head shake* - so captured by the idea of government, and oblivious to the reality of being "governed"
The unthinkable solution is now on the table, is it not? We used to revolt through the ballot box, but as others have written, most of Congress was re-elected.
Perhaps the balkanization of the US into multiple different nations would be superior to our current future? These things will be answered by the current generation and likely sooner than imagined.
For those with eyes the signs are clear. Save energy by ignoring the shepple and propaganda.
Exactly.
It should be pretty clear that fragmentation is going to win out over some sort of NWO/global government. There's a reason why the overwhelming percentage of human history has been that of smallish "tribes." No idea why people feel they have to fight against this, especially given that by doing so you automatically push/side for some sort of larger centralized power.
Use your energy for creating the world as you wish it to be. If one has to spend more time talking about it than doing it then how can it be expected to ever get done?
...And in today's New York Times Opinion Page:
Op-Ed Contributor Let’s Give Up on the Constitution By LOUIS MICHAEL SEIDMAN"AS the nation teeters at the edge of fiscal chaos, observers are reaching the conclusion that the American system of government is broken. But almost no one blames the culprit: our insistence on obedience to the Constitution, with all its archaic, idiosyncratic and downright evil provisions."
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/12/31/opinion/lets-give-up-on-the-constituti...
Holy shit!
SEIDMAN ...... Once Again, Enough Said
Only a professional equivocator (lawyer) could summon such tripe from the bowels of their diseased innards.
No coincidence that most of CONgress is comprised of lawyers.
NYT: Fascist Tools.
RP is right; why would the PTB try so effing hard to marginalize him?
Why do we have to put up with Tools like that Limey Morgan guy, a homo lackey of TPTB?
If these Tools got their wish, they would be the first to get shot.
Revolt against the MSM, Americans!
I would think that this would be good to bring this up, to start the discussion, though not for removing the Constitution, but for noting how we've essentially already tossed it out the window.
Seidman, however, is likely advocating for this puppet masters. POWER doesn't want laws restricting it: wasn't it claimed that GW Bush once called the Constitution a goddamned piece of paper? Thorn in the ass for perpetual wars for resources, for Gitmos and drones...
I always thought dubya's little slip o' the tongue was a HUGE red flag to be paid attention to - as in, his family heritage most likely had some awareness not all of "us" were privy to, and dopey MAY just have let slip some notion he was raised to understand. . .
sorry for following your posts down the thread Seer, you're just making way too much sense today ^^
<--- we are fucked
<--- we are free
RON PAUL!...Hey!...Where are you?!...
:)
To me the greatest threat to our liberty is the ability of our government to borrow in the name of people, saddling citizens with debts they never agreed to.
How sad is it that the only one of the 535 elected members of congress understood this, and that one person is leaving?
Thanks, RP.
I see a lot of -1s.
Barry must have logged on.
Fuck you, Barry.
Yes, this is problematic down the road, but there's also the more immediate things like indefinite PHYSICAL detention*, the stuff enabled by NDAA and its forerunner the PATRIOT ACT, which, BTW, was voted nay by ONLY a single US Senator (who was pushed out of office by all the right-wingers).
* With a debt ring around your neck you still have a chance to escape. With an actual physical noose around your neck you are not.
The biggest threat to liberty is that 99% of the population is wired to obey authority and aren't mentally equipped to disobey.
An ant can't think out of the box, neither can most people.
go Ron
The stage is set for complete, total full spectrum World domination from The Global Elite. Understand the core reason these Criminals continue to rape, pillage and steal wealth is though Illusion/Cover. We are not THE UNITED STATES but we are The United States of America. It is not The Constitution of The United States, it is The Constitution For The United States of America. Notice the difference. Do you see the Cover/Illusion.
These Criminals have been hiding behind the Corportate version of The Constituiton. Get it? That's the Cover and the reason behind their Crimes Against Humanity and The American People. Ask yourselves, why CIA propaganda, misinfomation/disinfomation is so good? Because it works. And the Elite own the media and have it staffed with their CIA agents/Council of Foreign Relation stooges like Andersen Cooper and Dianne Sawyer. The PsyOp runs deep, very deep.
The American people can continue to stay divided and blame the puppets Obama/Bush. Like they have any say in the matter. Both parties are the same sides of the same coin, bought and paid for a long time ago by The Elite Orligarchs. These Criminals sold their souls long ago.
So, continue to follow their lies, cover stories and false narratives such as Osama Bin Laden. A convenient CIA funded and trained Operative, code name Tim Osman. Sorry, But I digress.
Divide and Conquer. That's the Elite's game.
Total Complete Full Spectrum World Domination. Via The City of London. The financial location of The Banksters, which Wall Street is just an extension. They own the Military, Media and have put forth hundreds of years worth of planning to complete their goals of the aforementioned.
It began with The Fascist Patriot Act which morphed into The Military Commissions Act, John Warner Defense Act, NDAA, PD51, Torture, Illegal Wire Tapping etc..etc... You get the picture? We're dealing with pure Evil, which cannot be reasoned or negotiated with. Their goal was to break the sovereignty of The United States along with our good men and women of the Military while simultaneously ushering in their NWO protective force of Their Global Military/Police Force to protect their Criminal Cabal Corrupt System/Crimes Against Humanity. We're just their Debt Slaves. Divided and Conquered.
Yes Chupa, they might as well be The Borg: Arguments are irrelevant, resistance is futile. Prepare to be assimilated.
I liked Tim Russert. Here Ron Paul nails it.

DemONcracy Now confirms it. Bohemian Grove anyone?
http://www.democracynow.org/2009/8/12/sharlet
A most excellent post brother. Thank you for speaking your truth to power.
If everyone in the nation knew what you know, would it change or matter? No. Not as long as the lamest stream media propaganda machine lives. There is ONLY one saving grace for America and that is to completely eliminate the evil lying dis/mis-information propaganda machine. This one horrible wicked heartless tool alone is more responsible for the killing of America than any other. Sooner or later people will realize a choice is to be made. It is them who will die, or the evil media machine, and then begin to act appropriately. Your life and your children's will survive, or the babylonian media will? Which is it going to be and has a higher priority to you?? The nation has taken one slap to the face after another by these horrible liars and deceivers on the drug TV. There are no more cheeks to turn. It is better to go after the beast now, than to go get it after the lock down happens. EVERYONE must peacefully do all they can NOW to tear down the zionist bankster owned lame stream media propaganda machine. Time to brainstorm people. How many ways are there to monkey wrench the lame stream media system?
Know your enemy!
.
It's really just the expected sequence of plays by power- consolidation (I'd still like to know how big proponents of capitalism cannot see this same thing happening by way of concentrating capital [if capital doesn't = power then why the hell do people so desperately promote/seek it?]).
That there is energy in this direction I do not dispute. That it can succeed I DO dispute. It goes against the history of humans. It goes against the laws of energy*. And, it goes against my law that says that BAD SYSTEMS FAIL.
* More control = the necessity for more energy; this is a losing battle with entropy (history is littered with examples).
LOTS of people are going to die. Either nature or man is going to do it. I am saddened by this thought...
A clue about your appraisal of capitalism: you are experiencing it trying to function in a system constructed and run by government.
It is horribly mutated.
we are at a unique crossroads, a time when top-down hierarchies are being exposed as the narcissistic, and at times evil, institutions of power-over that they have always been, but are now so rotten that their "support" is weakened.
religions (priest abuse), government, money systems (banking), the "markets" you "trade" in, schooling, I could go on - all corrupted beyond repair - to continue to prop these ideas up in the mind is to disavow truth.
the key word is, and has been, TRUST. who/what do you really trust, and why? we all need to examine the desire to trust someone/thing, which can also be a desire to abandon personal responsibility to "leaders" (fathers, "founding" and otherwise).
personally, I don't want/need to be led.
Constitution?
Individual Liberties?
CONgress is interested in destroying both.
Ron Paul is a lone voice of reason in a ravenous rabble of gutless harpies.
Dr. Ron Paul is not going away. He will be speaking at college campuses all over the world, he will be supporting the Ludwig Von Mises institute, he continues to write articles, books and states he can do more outside of dysfunctional (“sociopathic”) Washington D.C. He is pushing an educational / non-violent /consciousness raising agenda of enlightenment for the folks. The liberty movement continues to grow and he will still be a key catalyst enlarging it.
We can all start by... "Living free in an unfree world" - Harry Browne
While I think RP has done more than anyone could ask for his country and deserves to spend the rest of his years with his friends and family. I also think IF he does decide to continue he can do more outside of the system than he can inside. Image RP with a great podcast reaching the youth vs a senate hearing clip on cnn.
Protect Property Rights .......INDEED !!!
We are at WAR at HOME
If the government collapses, perhaps we can put RP into the Presidency by popular acclamation!
(cheer) RP! RP! RP!
WTF do we need a POTUS?
I really, really like Ron, so no offense to him, but let us question the premise, shall we?
I agree.
I also agree.
And you know what? So would Ron Paul himself. His goal is Anarchocapitalism/Voluntarism.
Watch here if you like:
Ron Paul on Methods, Anarcho-Capitalism, and Understanding (with Pete Eyre)I wish RP would run for gov of Texas.
Ron Paul should be President. This guy is doin' it right.
As I reflect on the year 2012 and my life I'd like to offer a bit of insight for Gen Y. I bought my first ounce of gold in 1999. I met the woman who would become my wife via the internet around the same time. The problem was that she was a Russian which set in motion a series of events which became learning experiences.
In 2008 I became active in the Ron Paul initiative. I was elected as Treasurer for a BPOU in MN for the MNGOP. As I went through the financials, what I found was astonishing. Outright theft. The beauty of the whole endeavor was that almost all of elected to the BPOU board were Ron Paulians. We were honest and that cost us a great deal.
All of a sudden, Ron Paul people started losing their jobs around here. I managed to survive 2008. I ran for delegate in 2012 and was elected, again five days after my Mother passed away. I'm still not sure how I pulled that one off. I was also elected as an officer for the BPOU I was located in.
Given that I had some leverage of being an elected officer, I began to use my "political capital". I started asking questions to my elected officials. It ended up costing me my job and the termination was done mafia style. I kid you nothing on this. I lost. I acquired a new job in a few days because when you are good at doing something people want what you can offer.
So I say this: Fuck You 2012 first of all. But we ZH types are going to win in the end. We may not win in 2013 or even 2014 but I come here and read the comments and I find hope in humanity. That is all I can ever hope for.
The only hope I ever found was located right here at ZH and for that fact I am grateful. With that being said, I wish to thank you all. It will be good for me to see 2012 go away. 2013 will not be any better in investment terms but you need to have a reserve made of stainless steel. We will get through this shit I promise. Did you hear that Gen Y?
Thank You All again. Without folks like you I would not do the shit that I do. We have a epic fight on our hands. I wish you all a Happy New Year.
Signed,
GENX
PS: It is time to fight in any and every way possible. Think. Win.
Sad to say but RP is too old.
The question is who will carry the torch after RP?
Carry it yourself!
Quit looking to others to do for you!
Why haven't people gotten this point from Ron himself?
If you don't have political representation then armed revolution is the only way.
Is this how you want things changed?
Love you Ron Paul, you will always be my President!
It was a real shame to read the first line of his message, but one can hardly blame Dr.Paul for leaving the cesspit of Washington for pastures new after so may years of faithful service against the insurmountable tide of greed, selfishness, and the corrupt stench of his colleagues drenched in the cum of their paymasters.
I felt the odd sensation of deja vu, reminiscent of President Eisenhower's farewell address as he warned the American public of the dangers of the Military Industrial Complex. Then as now, few understand and even fewer care enough to look any further than the end of their gaping mouths waiting for the next handout, the next pay cheque, the next food stamp, the next credit card and the next episode of American Models-Dancing on Ice-Got Talent to fuel their dreams of being a celebrity prostitute. You can witness such nightmares of shattered lives every time you walk out of your front door no matter where you live.
It says volumes about the USA when I feel such great hopes and wonder about Dr.Paul's descriptions of just how the world should be, but fear it never will. These days, America is so utterly insane that a US politician uttering basics of reason, logic, and peace becomes a cause for an absurd amount of inspirational hope and wonder:
"I also urge my colleagues to end unconstitutional wars overseas. Stop the drone strikes. Stop the covert activities and the meddling in the internal affairs of other nations. Strive to observe good faith and justice towards all nations, as George Washington admonished. We are only making more enemies, wasting lives and bankrupting ourselves with the neoconservative interventionist mindset that endorses preemptive war that now dominates both parties."
As for his final lines, "Protect property rights. Protect the individual. That is enough." , nobody could have defined the concept of a good government better. The right of everyone to live, work, and die in peace, to be able to keep the fruits of their labours, to be able go about their lawful businesses without hindrance, is the fundamental right we all wish and dream we had, and sometimes delude ourselves we still have in small amounts, even when evidence shows it to be contrary. How many alphabet government agencies - each as large as city-states - does one country need? How many thousands of military bases all over the globe does one country need, and for what purpose? How many people must be enslaved by debts, puppet heads of state in perverted versions of democracy, predatory corporations, faux-free-markets, laughably propagandist main stream media, and the almighty financial services/banks at the top of the pile? Obviously, a casual glance at the derivative markets, GS IPOs, and ONS on GDP/Debt reveal that to these megalomaniacs, one planet of enslaved people is not nearly enough for them - they want to enslave even those yet unborn.
The thing is, nobody needs to pay taxes to fund all this madness. The government has a wide variety of monopolies already on their books to pay for the guarantee of property rights and protect individuals in its domain. Everything from the electromagnetic spectrum itself (Broadcast licenses) to the very airspace above our heads is their monopoly. Not forgetting energy supply rights, hundreds of thousands of different types of licenses, and accreditations which all generate revenues. Unfortunately, such is the governments' instiable appetites for greed, expansion and power, the normal human being needs to pay money (Another useless monopoly) merely to breathe and eat and shit his/her whole life.
It's been awhile. I wish him all the best in his retirement and hope it lasts long in happiness.
"Understand that economic freedom is freedom"
No, it's slavery.
"... between the strong and the weak, it is the freedom which oppresses the law that liberates" (Lacordaire)
I don't know 100% of exactly what it is you are tyring to say, but I feel I want to say something here.
I don't go around thinking/believing that we are currently debt slaves on the road to serfdom, while watching the unborn being sold off in order to go futher into debt... due to economic freedom.
the funniest line i've heard yet when taking a credit application.... where do you work? what is your monthly income?
zero right now but i'm trying to get on SSI! since when did trying to get on SSI become a proffesion?
Truth is, is that no matter what Ron Paul has to say about congress things are not going to change unless he puts a gun to Harry Reid's head and forces him to represent the people again. Isn't that one reason why we have to second amendment, to protect our government from outside influence?
People need to stop being so passive these days, it's pathethic.
RP eloquently and succinctly sums up what the best of the best of the ZH contributors have been saying for a whole year.
Happy Retirement RP ;O)
i voted for ron p and dennis k, not because they are perfect, but because they are far and away the best.
