And The Winner Is...

Tyler Durden's picture

They came; they spoke; they voted...

  • HOUSE BEGINS VOTE ON AVERTING TAX INCREASES FOR MOST WORKERS
  • HOUSE HAS ENOUGH VOTES TO PASS BUDGET BILL; VOTE CONTINUING
  • CANTOR VOTES NO ON BUDGET BILL
  • PAUL RYAN VOTES YES ON BUDGET BILL
  • BOEHNER VOTES YES ON SENATE BILL
  • Obama says will not have another debate with Congress over debt ceiling
  • Republicans: Yea 85 - 151 Nay
  • Democrats: Yea 172 - 16 Nay

'Cliff'-Off (for now)...'Debt-Ceiling'-on. Time to start buying March vol steepeners? But the bottom line is simple: the Bush tax cuts are dead. Long live the Obama tax cuts.

21 year old 'college student (junior more specifically who only 'woke up' in fall 2011) who is getting increasing  hair raising on back/go Galt with this Tea Party bailing,  similar to when Dear Leader got reelected.

Obviously gotta make a living and hedge accordingly, but also seriously just want to add to my stack of 57 oz. Ag and some 1/10 Au. eagles. Econ major who sees that 'finance' is just usury/corporatism and thus am leaning towards just becoming a trader who does everything conceivable to trade only volatility (UVXY, VXX,), PMs and commodities futures and ETFs, and retail stocks that I can live with/do things of value, like SWHC. Aka, no FB, defense contractor stocks, Monsatan, etc.

Am thankful to ZH and many commenters here who I know share similar sentiments/know what is going on. I try my best to explain the Austrian school to others and help them wake up, but things continue to go on. Don't even give a damn how my school's teams do, as I used to when I was a sheep in  the matrix. Panem et circenses, nothing more.

Quite so. But here's my question for the day:

How do you get to Austrian school of economics in practice from where we are today!?!

Everybody is bitching but didn't the Reps just following the advise posted here and elsewhere to simply write a blank check to Obama and let him own the consequences? The issue is the way it has been done, they are framed as acomplices.

I'm tempted going around and sticking large "RESERVED for politician X" tags on random lamp poles but waterboarding is not my favorite sport.

Mitch McConnell enlisted Joe Biden to broker the Senate deal.  Obama was not involved.  Does anyone else think that is odd?  Obama must have voted "Present" on this too.

Biden is the President of the Senate and the leading Democrat along with Reid.

Why is that odd?

Funny.

I've seen cons complain that he was too involved (including rambling nonsense about checks and balances) and not involved enough (golf, Hawaii, etc) at the same time.

Maybe the good Senator from Tokyo Prefecture just refused to work with a black guy.

Big fucking deal.  Clowngress passed the baton back to the Fed.  And why not; it's all monopoly money until the 'backward' nations catch on to the Grand Scam.

Irrecusable obligation, which according to 'Bouvier's Law Dictionary' (1914 ed.), is "a term used to indicate a certain class of contractual obligations recognized by the law which are imposed upon a person without his consent and without regard to any act of his own." This is distinguished from a recusable obligation which, according to Bouvier, arises from a voluntary act by which one incurs the obligation imposed by the operation of law. The Income Tax succinctly described is an irrecusable obligation.

However, if anyone else accepts this private credit and uses it to purchase goods and services, the user voluntarily incurs the obligation requiring him to make a return of income whereby a portion of the income is collected by the IRS and delivered to the Federal Reserve banksters. Actually the federal income tax imparts two separate obligations: the obligation to file a return and the obligation to abide by the Internal Revenue Code. The obligation to make a return of income for using private credit is recognized in law as an irrecusable obligation. The voluntary use of private credit is the condition precedent which imposes the irrecusable obligation to file a tax return. If private credit is not used or rejected, then the operation of law which imposes the irrecusable obligation lies dormant and cannot apply.

Obama tax cut??  What the fuck are you talking about ZH?  Taxes were RAISED.

As for Republitards, you deserve your tax increase for voting like the fucking pathetic dicks-for-brains that you are.

Also Bush tax CUT?  He got us into this mess with his bank bailouts, we are paying for it now in the form of higher taxes and a dogshit economy that's losing to a bunch of communists.  Bush Jr is pure Satan, he should be first in line when the pitchforks and torches take Deadbeat Cunts (D.C.) down.
