Boehner Issues Statement

Tyler Durden's picture

Moments ago, Boehner voted to enact "Obama's tax cuts", which is the new de facto Bush tax cuts (which expired yesterday), and which will raise the budget deficit over the next decade by $4 trillion, yet which at the same time paradoxically also hiked taxes on nearly three quarters of Americans with an emphasis on the wealthiest 1%. Now, Boehner also issues a statement to advise his constituency just what issue he will cave on next: spending.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement following passage of the Senate agreement on the fiscal cliff:

“The federal government has a spending problem that has led to a $16 trillion national debt that threatens our country’s future.  On the day after the election, I proposed that both parties work together to avert the fiscal cliff in a manner that would ensure 2013 is the year we finally enact entitlement reform and pro-growth tax reform to begin to solve our country’s debt problem.

“Now the focus turns to spending.  The American people re-elected a Republican majority in the House, and we will use it in 2013 to hold the president accountable for the ‘balanced’ approach he promised, meaning significant spending cuts and reforms to the entitlement programs that are driving our country deeper and deeper into debt.

“Without meaningful reform of entitlements, real spending controls, and a fairer, cleaner tax code, our debt will continue to grow, and our economy will continue to stumble.  Republicans stand for a stronger, more prosperous America, rich in opportunity and free of the debt that threatens our children’s future.  On this New Year’s Day, we renew our commitment to that vision, humbled by the opportunity to serve.”

And just in case anyone is still confused what happened today, the only thing the US voted through today was the Fiscal equivalent of 3 weeks worth of Fed debt monetization. Although at this rate, it is becoming a safe bet the GOP will cave on pretty much everything else too.

The false hope rally will continue on. Corporations have divorced themselves from the laws of economics. Netflix may jump over $100 a share tomorrow. On what reasoning? That the fiscal cliff was avoided?

This belief that government can grow the economy is beyond insane. 2012 was my most expensive year ever and I didn't really buy much of anything. It all went to food, healthcare, and maintenance. Gasoline is now guaranteed to be over $3.25 a gallon all year. Who knows what nat gas will do. Maybe shoot for $8 again? If things get any more expensive I won't make it. I can't get a raise, the company I work for is barely hanging on.

I don't know anyone working for any company that has a clue about sales for 2013. The only person that says things are good, but not because things are actually good, is my uncle that works for a gun shop. I guess the directors at the publicly traded houses of bullshit are confident. Retail sales were piss poor for 2012, but stock options were bringing in all time highs.

Check out the movies for 2013. I have never seen more appocalyptic movies set up for a year in my life. All the superhero movies also feature the hero getting beaten to a pulp. Death, destruction, violence, and an end to the old way of living seem to be the theme for 2013.

I know a lot of Russians who came to the United States. Every one I know is making plans to leave, they see the signs and don't want to live through it again. My neighbor from Cuba who was 19 at the time of Castro says Obama makes Fidel look like a patron saint. He says the look of Obama is of a man getting ready to murder millions of innocent people. I concur.

They know who has the guns. They will be coming after us. 2013 starts the active oppression and the silencing of the dissenters. We already had a night of long knives. Ambassador killed, spec ops killed off, judges killed, false flag atacks. Congress has caved because they know there wasn't anythingthey could actually do.

Obama has always been a dictator, but a puppet doing the bidding of the shadows. Like Ahmadinejad, he is the public voice of the real power. I'd love to be confident, but I know the way of life I had is over. Nothing but pain and hardship is in store, unless I reach for the hand of the government. I'd rather die.

Setting the Record Straight

Now, there have been times at which I have been accused by August Members of the Hedge Collective that I unscrupulously ragged upon the Democrats in Overt support of the Republican Faction of that One Party of Leviathan Interests.  Which I painstakingly pointed out that it was simply a reflection of the way the cookie crumbles, in that when in power, one takes the heat.

Tonight, the Other Supposed Simulated Opposition "Conservative" Side of the One Leviathan Party Caved.

Period.

So, they now are the ones responsible for the damage wrought by the Obama Tax Cuts.
Yes, the Bush Tax Cuts Expired, so Credit Where Credit is Due....

It's Now Obama's Fault.
Aided and Abetted by the Republicans.
The Increase in the Deficit, the Spending, which originated in the Bill Crafted in the Senate by the Dumocraps and Supported Handily by the Other Turncoats in the House.

That's it, Guys and Gals, Lads and Lassies, Boners and Shrivelers.
We been had again.

There is no you or me.
There never has been a you or me.

Back to business as normal.
Everything is now is as it was before.
Your suspicions have been confirmed.

Carry on, nothing new to see.

Buncha fucktards.

Everything is now is as it was before.

The dem-rep party continues unabated. Sorry. The 100 or so left in the house that still have some conservative blood in their veins should be dropping from the GOP in a VERY public fashion and forming their own party. This single party dem/RINO shit has got to end for the sake of the country. Give RINOs a choice to either fold into the dem party or start supporting conservative values again and stop pandering to minorities and other leechfucks for votes that will never come.

We could have an eight or twelve party system like many nations in Europe. It won't change the fact that centralized government itself is the problem. Adding more parties just adds more representatives to mooch taxpayer cash and pass even more bullshit after even longer drawn out meaningless arguments.

If a compromise between two parties can do this much damage, imagine compromise between more of these assholes.

Well, the conspiracy theories, the suspicions, have now been confirmed.  There is only one party.  So we can't really refer to them as the Democratic Party and the Republican Party anymore can we?  Democrats are hardly democtratic and Republicans are hardly for the Republic.  So I propose we come up with a new name for this ONE party.

Open to suggestions but I propose the PPP, the Puppet Party of Politicians.  Since that is what they represent, politicians, and not America, I think that is appropriate.

Bohener sez:

"On the day after the election, I proposed that both parties work together to avert the fiscal cliff in a manner that would ensure 2013 is the year we finally enact entitlement reform and pro-growth tax reform to begin to solve our country’s debt problem."

I call BS on the above. It clearly calls for spending cuts and tax cuts. You do not reduce deficits by cutting taxes and you do not facilitate growth by cutting what Bohener calls "entitlements". To Republicrats, entitlements exclude bailouts, that they typically vote for, and military spending that they vote for and covet.

Bohener is quick to point to $16T in debt, of which about 1/2 has come about solely in the 12 years of this new millennium. To be sure, that debt is outrageously high.

Here's what Behener neglects:

The dramatic increase in debt has come about because of tax cuts. Bush had the Clinton surplus to work with. We were told then, as Bohener continues to claim even now, that cutting taxes leads to growth. That is false. Tax cuts did not help growth nearly as nuch as they caused the blow up of the debt, year in and year out from 2001 onward.

Cutting spending for the military industrial complex would be helpful, as would making bankers accountable for the fraud that brought us down.

Republicrats are likely to continue losing not because they are caving in. Rather, the losses are the direct result of a viewpoint that conveniently overlooks the source of the debt and inappropriately stigmatizes the wrong entitlements.

WTF? Taxes have nothing to do with our debt in reality.  Tax revenues make up such a tiny part of the whole picture.  It's SPENDING SPENDING SPENDING!  I mean shit........we are putting fucking pacemakers in 91 year old DNR patients for fuck's sake and wondering why the hell medicare costs are rising?  I work in healthcare......I've never seen a more inefficient, pathetic industry.  From the doctors to the device companies to the catholic fucking braindead nuns who run hospital systems to the clueless CEO's that know nothing about medicine and healthcare.

Anyways, taxes going up or going down have fuck all to do with any of this pathetic mess.  The state of CA spends $22 billion dollars on third world illegals who crap in buckets and breed like rabbits living 20 to a 500 sq ft apartment.  They have a statewide budget deficit of $16 billion.  Does it really take a fucking Phd in Economics to understand how to for example solve the debt crisis in that fucking state?  HELL NO!  But hispanic power has infiltrated all facets of government to the point where we can't even MAINTAIN current immigration law with offending people.  I mean hell just solving our illegal immigration problem would probably cut the national debt by a huge margin.  It will never happen.

Cut the FDA, Cut the Dept of Education, cut the DHS, get rid of fucking TSA, roll back all the huge expansion of government that happened in the last 10 years!!!!!!!  Fuck it all!  Go back to the 1950s!!!!!!  One big fucking do over!

Hey.  Has anybody seen that old Bruce Willis movie?  What's it called?  You know, it was made a couple of decades ago.  I doubt you have.  Niether have I.  It wasn't that popular.  That's why I'm wondering if someone could type the script of it here.  So we can at least read the movie.  Anyone?  No?  Ok, I guess I'll have to do without.  Bummer.  I was really hoping someone would retype the whole script here so I could remember what happened.  Guess I CAN LIVE WITHOUT IT!

It's so like real life....we have some bearded fuck ripping us off.  LEOs think it's terrorists but really it's just a bunch of guys just ripping us off.

Then we have the open system of some one guy in a wife beater and no education just fucking things up.  Things are supposed to go by the playbook.

First, the local police stitch up a perimeter.

Then, the federal govt comes in to take charge.

Right before it ALL BLOWS UP and there's a false flag...snatch.

Yeah.... hero goes home in a limo.  Nothing to see here.

Joker, blough me.

I know what's gonna solve it all : a total gun ban and confiscation!

http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?llr=86exi4bab&v=001mlQdTt...

CULLERTON TO INTRODUCE NEAR TOTAL GUN BAN ON JANUARY 2ND

The ISRA has learned from a credible source that Illinois Senate President John Cullerton will introduce a so called “assault weapons” ban on Wednesday when the legislature returns for its “lame duck” session.  Cullerton hopes to ramrod the bill through and get it to Governor Quinn for signature by Friday.  If he is successful at doing so, nearly every gun you currently own will be banned and will be subject to confiscation by the Illinois State Police.

Based on what we know about Cullerton’s bill, firearms that would be banned include all semiautomatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns.  Pump action shotguns would be banned as well.  This would be a very comprehensive ban that would include not only so-called “assault weapons” but also such classics as M1 Garands and 1911-based pistols.  There would be no exemptions and no grandfathering.  You would have a very short window to turn in your guns to the State Police to avoid prosecution.

That is what SHOULD happen, but perhaps you are discounting a media/propaganda machine that votes 95% democrat by their own admission, and will always find a way to blame the other guys.

Visit Piers Morgans twitter page, look at his background, and tell me there is any fairness and balance in reporting. He is the same as 95% of the rest of the media.

How come we don't hear our turd in office or other politicians or talking heads talking about WASTE???????  We could eliminate all the waste and fraud and probably balance the budget over night!

The Department of Homeland Security has been dogged by persistent criticism over excessive bureaucracy, waste, ineffectiveness and lack of transparency. A House of Representatives subcommittee estimated that as of September 2008 the department has wasted roughly $15 billion in failed contracts.[46] In 2003, the department came under fire after the media revealed that Laura Callahan, Deputy Chief Information Officer at DHS with responsibilities for sensitive national security databases, had obtained her advanced computer science degrees through a diploma mill in a small town in Wyoming. The department was blamed for up to $2 billion of waste and fraud after audits by the Government Accountability Office revealed widespread misuse of government credit cards by DHS employees, with purchases including beer brewing kits, $70,000 of plastic dog booties that were later deemed unusable, boats purchased at double the retail price (many of which later could not be found), and iPods ostensibly for use in "data storage".[47][48][49][50]

HA HA HA HA HA!  That's too funny.  Now we know what happened to gold in Fort Knox.  Apparently the government is having the same problem many of us are having.  I know I've lost three boats already.  I'm telling you, there needs to be an investigation into some of these boat manufacturers.

Anytime you see "wasteful spending", especially where the NSA or DHS is concerned, it's probably a cover for the auditors.  That money is most likely used for top secret shit, and chalked up to "waste".

Right.  It may be wasteful to you and I but it isn't wasteful to them.  I'm sure that equipment, personnel, power, (capital and operations) for the Utah data center, and HAARP, etc. are line items for auditors to review at their convenience.

When I entered my name and address Firefox said I was attempting to contact an 'UNTRUSTED CONNECTION'.

Oh yeah, they got that right. House or REPRESENTATIVES served by an UNTRUSTED CONNECTION.

As another Ohio Congressman used to say ( before they put him in prison) Scotty, Beam me up!

Btw for those who have said all along, this issue is too big for the OLigarchy to not put into action, we are proven right.

The current fiscal cliff compromise, only makes the big picture worse for the US economy; all the while its reassures the Oligarchs they can continue to win bigtime and skim off the wealth thru the asset levitation pump in 2013.

For all those who said that the USA political class would provoke a fiscal cliff confrontation based on an  irreconcilable ideological divide, the facts speak for themselves.

These guys know where THEIR bread is buttered!

And they don't give a shit about ours...

All Criminals. Boehner et al are protecting their own asses from the public knowledge that they allowed the Usurpation of the Presidency by a British subject, born of a British subject father. America has been repatriated to the British and is now under the authority of the criminal Rothchild central bankers. They have now doubled down, and will count the electoral votes 2 days early in order to rush the Usurper back into office, so that he can finish the job he was sent to do, i.e dismantle the political and economic structure of America, and demoralize all that resist.

Obama will be sworn into office again in private, since Roberts (and the rest of the judiciary) has no backbone, and does not want to be seen actually swearing in the Usurper (the first oath was flubbed purposefully last time, and the second was done in private, where Roberts asked for an affirmation of religion at the end-- voiding that oath. This time the official oath will be done in private, and the public one will be ceremonial).

Of course the Useful idiot media will proclaim that Obama showed "great leadership, in the way of Lincoln". They will be the first to be hung. Useful idiots always are. It will take the blood of tyrants and patriots to restore the Republic, and water the tree of liberty. The criminals are laughing at you and are amazed that it has been so easy to overtake the once great America. The first step in stopping it is to remove the Usurper from office.

second the cub reporter Josh someone says that Boner is secure in his speakership -- if that is true there are no issues with the debt ceiling or anything else and the TeeParty is finished in terms of having a voice

I am shocked that Boner could still be Speaker after Friday

In reality, Boehner had no choice.  They didn't have the votes for amendments.  Him voting yea is just a symbolic jesture to say he can be bi-partisan and goes on record as not sending country over cliff....same with Ryan.  The sequestration agreement is worse in that they have already said it's a 50-50 revenue to spending.  That sets ups debt ceiling as the line in the sand.  If they capitulate on that I agree the GOP is done.  No way Ryan and othe Tea party members cave on that.

Dude, they already have. Over, and over, and over, and over again.

The GOP is about to go back to being what they were for most of the 20th century, the Washington Generals of US politics - loveable bumblers who never win anything but get credit for "showing up" while the Harlem Globetrotters dribble circles around them (and violating every single rule of the game in the process - to boisterous applause, I might add).
