Gun Sales Background Checks Hit Record
A Fiscal Cliff "deal" that reduces GDP and squeezes the consumers; a Fed whose policies have forced massive capital misallocation away from growth investment and are leading to an unprecedented corporate "revenue cliff"; and now, in the aftermath of the government response to the Newtown massacre which threatened to curb the second amendment, we get this via Reuters:
- BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR US GUN SALES REACHED RECORD IN DECEMBER AT 2.8 MLN CHECKS - FBI
Because when everything is an unintended consequence, nobody has to take any responsibility for anything. And so the New Normal marches on.
More from Reuters:
The number of FBI background checks for U.S. gun purchases set a record in December, as the Connecticut school massacre prompted renewed talk of limits on firearms, according to new FBI data.
The FBI said it recorded 2.8 million background checks during the month, surpassing the record set in November of 2 million checks. The number was up 49 percent over December 2011, when the FBI performed a then-record 1.9 million checks

Alongside buying guns, people should start calling the traitors in state legislatures and congress...
Illinois is going full retard THIS WEEK :
http://beforeitsnews.com/libertarian/2013/01/illinois-bill-to-ban-all-mo...
Illinois Bill to Ban All Modern Firearms
“Based on what we know about Cullerton’s bill, firearms that would be banned include all semiautomatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns. Pump action shotguns would be banned as well. This would be a very comprehensive ban that would include not only so-called ‘assault weapons’ but also such classics as M1 Garands and 1911-based pistols. There would be no exemptions and no grandfathering. You would have a very short window to turn in your guns to the State Police to avoid prosecution.”
And the GOP is getting ready to backstab the 2nd amendment as well :

Kaul: Nation needs a new agenda on guns• Repeal the Second Amendment, the part about guns anyway. It’s badly written, confusing and more trouble than it’s worth. It offers an absolute right to gun ownership, but it puts it in the context of the need for a “well-regulated militia.” We don’t make our militia bring their own guns to battles. And surely the Founders couldn’t have envisioned weapons like those used in the Newtown shooting when they guaranteed gun rights. Owning a gun should be a privilege, not a right.
• Declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal. Hey! We did it to the Communist Party, and the NRA has led to the deaths of more of us than American Commies ever did. (I would also raze the organization’s headquarters, clear the rubble and salt the earth, but that’s optional.) Make ownership of unlicensed assault rifles a felony. If some people refused to give up their guns, that “prying the guns from their cold, dead hands” thing works for me.
• Then I would tie Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, our esteemed Republican leaders, to the back of a Chevy pickup truck and drag them around a parking lot until they saw the light on gun control.
And if that didn’t work, I’d adopt radical measures.
Yeah with people like that running around, you DEFINETLY don't need guns, amiright?
Pretty typical objective news piece in today's era of objective and unbiased reporting. Are those threats he's makin on Boehner and company? Perhaps the SS (Secret Service) should visit him.......oh, wait that only if a guy like Nugent says something rude - doesn't apply to libtards, so sorry.
Congress spent most of its first two years under Obama pursuing and passing a healthcare reform bill that while having been shown to be constitution (not really) was clearly not wanted by a majority of the American people. Does anyone think they won't do everything in their power to make this happen? This is a lynchpin to our constitutional rights. Once it is gone, nothing will be left to stand in their way. They have surveillance, indefinite imprisonment and once they have our guns, they will never have to say I'm sorry again! Oh, and I forgot interstate commerce, which pretty much takes care of everything in between.
Agreed its clearly the lynchpin amendment. Funny I always thought Alex Jones was sniffing too much glue. Boy was I wrong. Sad New Year everyone.
MOLON LABE bitchez!
The true depth of America's future misery is impossible for most people to fathom. Oh to be a liberal democrat or moocher sucking off the gov't teet and not give a rat's ass about anything.
Buy the following items with both hands:

Go to church and pray because 2013 is going to be a really crappy year. And if the crap doesn't hit the fan this year it will within the next couple of years.
within the next couple of years.
If only we were SO LUCKY to get even one more, to keep preparing.I think the pot boils over in 13.
Let's hope for fast collapse and the rise of strong local economies.
An essential item for every list is an Alt-Skill - a means of supporting family after trade wars and currency wars end in collapse. Mine is shoe-making. 3D printers are coming down in price; hydroponics for food production; ammunition reloading/gunsmithing; animal husbandry; metal-smithing, etc.
Don't just survive, Thrive, bitchez.
sounds like fun - not in our life times though
I have never expected that a country could go down the old russian way in controling people so fast. This is like making lists of people posing potential domestic threaths to status stupidity. Now it will not be religion but some other bullshit metrics, guns, taken pills, speed tickets.
I ask myself what could be done if for some few thousand years the same goes on and on and only with different bacground music?
2008 - I knew it would implode like the old USSR. Our version will be a lot worse. The only good thing is maybe the elites will not end up on top like they did in Russia. They probably will anyway.
Black hole budgets for nuclear arms - expensive & extremely corrosive stuff in one way or another - Soviets & USSA must collapse from this. These toys produce nothing but radioactive poison, we all work (taxed) to pay for replacement parts. You have no idea how much you slave to keep that poison going.
Buying guns? Machine gun staccato in your front yards, fuck that jazz. Fuck the guns, see you all at the FEMA camps! I wanna be first in line to get dibs on a top bunk. Free meals all around bitchez!
Yeah, one bowl of watery soup, per day; vaguely reminiscent of the camps in 1940s Poland... Then it's back to work, slave!
Different than today how? Only difference is internet access will be curtailed. Most of us can use a break from spankin anyway.
Big difference... Literally... I look around and think to myself, "Some of these people could use only one bowl of watery soup per day."
I guess the side benefit is, in 20 years, obesity won't be a problem in this country.
Let's see... 1,700 guns last year, maybe 2,500 guns this year... Hey Los Angeles... How's that cash for guns buy back program working for you?... Actually, thanks for getting all those broken, defective firearms out of circulation...
theres not that many bambis out there, must be more dangerous game
