Is 807 The Number Of The S&P 500 Beast?
In today's WTF moment, we note that the inexorable rise from the March 2009 lows to the most recent September 2012 highs has created exactly the same 807 point rise that the last bubble-blown levitation managed (from October 2002 to October 2007) . Curiouser and curiouser... and from a suspiciously devilish 666 low print, we can only hope our behavioral biases can cope with these glimpses.

Which makes it insanely easy to generate disinformation conspiracy theories simply by connecting coincidences after the fact.
Unless you first-hand knowledge, or know your sources who do, it's hard to state any factual claim definitively with any degree of confidence. Worse yet, you might only help to undermine your own efforts by latching onto a falsehood that others quickly debunk.

I suspect if there is another pull-back it would likewise be to an even lower point than 666. Not just because of the past 2 (the trend), but the fact that the Fed and all the world's central banks are out of policy bullets to lean against the wind any harder. The next one, if it comes in the near future, won't be able to be saved. We'll take it full in the face.

We are headed to S&P 400 as we wipe out all of the leverage from the 90s. I don't know what the time frame is, but we will work our way there. Japan is our model and deflation is a bitch.
Didn't Benny save us from deflation by "acting aggressively"? Or, maybe just delayed it.
Saved us from monster deflation and a repeat of the Great Depression. People don't give him enough credit. Without his aggressive action we might not even be alive talking on here today.
