Is 807 The Number Of The S&P 500 Beast?

Tyler Durden's picture

In today's WTF moment, we note that the inexorable rise from the March 2009 lows to the most recent September 2012 highs has created exactly the same 807 point rise that the last bubble-blown levitation managed (from October 2002 to October 2007) . Curiouser and curiouser... and from a suspiciously devilish 666 low print, we can only hope our behavioral biases can cope with these glimpses.

If history is any guide, no....no it isn't.

btw.. is Lauren Lyster now on yahoo finance and not with RT ?

Captain Benny's picture

They cancelled Capital Account!  The only reason I watched RT was for that show....

LawsofPhysics's picture

Technicals do not matter!!!  But so long as we are wasting time, what was the total debt outstanding the last time they blew that bubble?  - FAIL  Going to be some interesting bond auctions coming up.

Panafrican Funktron Robot's picture

The Fed is firmy in the drivers seat re: stock market price.  It goes up or down from here based almost entirely on what they feel like doing.

Quite the scrumptious little morsal, but that voice...at time I had to turn the sound off

Yep. No more Capital Account. :'(

BULLISH!

Seriously...there are no rules anymore, market isn't allowed to fall until it is allowed to fall

If we drop sp to 666 again , I will jizz all over the computer screen

It was just pointed out to me that the last year with 4 different digits was 1987!!!!! That should scare you.

digits ,sorry

26 year spread and it sorta feels like '07.....hmmm 26+7=33.  fucking Masons.

_ConanTheLibertarian_'s picture

Damn! I wish I was back in 1987. I made a few of the biggest mistakes of my life around that time. And the music was still awesome.

Panafrican Funktron Robot's picture

'87 saw the smashing success of Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer".  You can't make this shit up.

There is NO BUBBLE. BE it stocks, bonds, currency, real estate, etc. You were told the rrecovery began June 2009. Any doom beyond that has been both negative to your health and your portfolio. Buy the dips and relax!

You've been calling for a crash for years now.  Same stupid term:  Wile E. Coyote drop.

A crash will undoubtably happen, but if it happens when you, in particular, call it, then it's just broken clock theory.

Cognitive Dissonance's picture

There are no coincidences. The elite believe in magic and they just love matching magic numbers.

Doesn't matter what we believe, just what they believe.

Looks like there are a couple people who don't like you saying nasty things about their masters.

Better start reading runes and mayan glyphs into the charts instead

But 807 is an Angel Number!

Repeating 807 suggests that if you have been intuitively feeling that a part of your life is coming to a close or end, the repeating Angel number 807 is a message of validation for you.

Not surprised at all. So many of us, including myself, find it very difficult to shake off decades of social conditioning and mind control. To even consider that the extremely rich and powerful might not only believe in magic, but actively practice it is.........well, it's just crazy talk.

They do not blind us. They simply leverage our own conditioned blindness.

Uber Vandal's picture

The definition of Magick, per A. Crowley is: the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will.

Also, other magickal means of change in conformity with will includes symbols, and words.

Symbols can be very, very powerful, such as how the meaning of an ancient symbol, the swastika, has been changed forever.

Then, there are words.... Look at how words have been renamed and re-framed. A good example is the Department of War became the Department of Defense.

Spastica Rex's picture

Yes - but where are the symbols? They're not to be found among the stars in the sky anymore.

The human mind is wired to find patterns, whether they exist or not. This also is a behavior to be manipulated.

 "Not surprised at all. So many of us, including myself, find it very difficult to shake off decades of social conditioning and mind control"

~~~
Touche' ~ Some seem to actually take pride in conformity... I guess they think it's the last trick in their bag they have to get chicks 2 drop their panties for them...
NotApplicable's picture
Which makes it insanely easy to generate disinformation conspiracy theories simply by connecting coincidences after the fact.
Unless you first-hand knowledge, or know your sources who do, it's hard to state any factual claim definitively with any degree of confidence. Worse yet, you might only help to undermine your own efforts by latching onto a falsehood that others quickly debunk.
Cognitive Dissonance's picture
"Then, there are words.... Look at how words have been renamed and re-framed."
Including the word "Magic", which has been deliberately distorted and maligned for centuries.
Ignore what they say. Watch closely what they do.
Cognitive Dissonance's picture
Those who are not settled with self, who do not know themselves, are often "spellbound" by words, particularly the spoken word.
The great orators of past and present were/are actually practicing Magic(k) and most of them know it and are deliberately doing so. Think carefully about the meaning of the words we use to describe the "art" of writing and the spoken word.
Getting away with fraud, thats the magic trick widely practiced these days.
If I could create digital money at a keystroke and exchange it for goods and the labour of others it would surely feel completely magical. Just think of the power I would wield!
Alas I have no magical power and must serve the magicians with interest payments & taxation while enduring inflation and of course obeying the regulations they designed to protect their power.
NoDebt's picture
Lower highs, lower lows anybody?
I suspect if there is another pull-back it would likewise be to an even lower point than 666.  Not just because of the past 2 (the trend), but the fact that the Fed and all the world's central banks are out of policy bullets to lean against the wind any harder.  The next one, if it comes in the near future, won't be able to be saved.  We'll take it full in the face.
Panafrican Funktron Robot's picture
"the Fed and all the world's central banks are out of policy bullets"
They only had one bullet to start with.  And that bullet is theoretically infinite.  At least until people stop accepting federal reserve notes for actual goods and services.
rubearish10's picture
Who are the magicians that identify these chart patterns? WOW TD!
Dr. Engali's picture
We are headed to S&P 400 as we wipe out all of the leverage from the 90s. I don't know what the time frame is, but we will work our way there. Japan is our model and deflation is a bitch.
AynRandFan's picture
Didn't Benny save us from deflation by "acting aggressively"?  Or, maybe just delayed it.
Dark Meadowlark's picture
Saved us from monster deflation and a repeat of the Great Depression. People don't give him enough credit. Without his aggressive action we might not even be alive talking on here today. His actions saved us most likely war and another Dark Age. Thank you Ben. The system may have its flaws but it is still the best system mankind has ever known!
akak's picture
Didn't Benny save us from deflation by "acting aggressively"?
Yeah, and likewise, pulling the covers over my head every night "protects" me from the equally imaginary monster who lives under my bed.
Panafrican Funktron Robot's picture
I'm totally fine with deflation.  I don't think it will ever occur again in the history of the federal reserve note.
