Track All The World's Billionaires In Real Time

Tyler Durden's picture

While we know that most of the world's billionaires are currently holed up in Davos, Bloomberg has created a visual extravaganza for tracking the great and good of our fair world. The real-time billionaire tracker maps the world's richest people to their country of citizenship, industry, gender, age, and source of wealth. We assume this is the new deal target for our administration - how long before we see these headshots on the back of a set of playing cards?

Interactive charts here.

Who are they all?

How have they done recently?

In what industry did they make their money...

And where are they citizens (now)...

Why dont the top 50 of the world give the ultimate gift and sacrifice themselves for the good of the 7 billion?

Thats a good trade off? No?

Minus -50 and save 7 billion...

But Not minus -7 billion and save 50? Thats not good.

Just an idea for them...and a good one as it might, just might save their souls in the next chapter...

this list is utter BS.

How much did Qaddafi have?  How about Mubarak?  When a mere President of Pakistan like Bhutto, can end up SOMEHOW having $10B, these guys have more money than anyone on this list.

MQ was rolling in oil money as dictator for how many decades?  Even that little Tunisian idiot they ran outta there had over $10B.  Mubarak was supposed to have something like $80B.

Never MIND what the Sauds have.  Rafik Harari had more than $8B...his children were among the "richest under 18" as was Bhutto's spawn.  Simple leaders of insignificant countries end up with far more wealth than any of these working, industry-building clowns.  Heck, Arafat had what, 3...4 billion?  And he was just the leader of an organization that wasn't even a country.

Our Senators live like billionaires.  Do the math.  Corruption and looting pay WAY better than real work.

Very true.  This list does not begin to scratch the surface, but it is a necessary illusion to prevent people from finding out who's really running things.

Gun owners have no "right to privacy" unless they're billionaires, too.  It's not like you'll find that in the Constitution.

Rich folks have a lot more rights 'cause they can BUY them.  Some rights are just too expensive to be giving to every other asshole out there.

"how long before we see these headshots on the back of a set of playing cards?"

Not long.  Making the lives of the wealthy less comfortable by applying social pressure to them and their lineal descendants is always the start.  Herny Ford did well in this regard as he never lost the support of his neighbors and was able to live openly and without fear in his own community.  Rockefeller was terrible and the pressure took a tremendous toll on his lineal descendants.  Leland Stanford ended as a childless solitary man so it never especially bothered him after the death of his only son.  Charles Crocker was a rather magnanimous banker who did well in the community, same with Mark Hoppkins.  They employed a lot of people, spread their wealth built hotels and or office complexes and were generally well regarded.  Pillars of the the society.  Kind of like Warren Buffet does but to a lesser degree today.  Bill Gates has too much of an internationalist bent and runs a risk.  As for the reclusive American financial industry billionaires who want the money and their anonomity as well, especially the ones that belong to religous minorities, they or their lineal descendants are likely to have their share of problems much like their predecessors did if the prior patterns repeat themselves.

There are LOTS of billionaires left off of lists like these.  Better for them to be behind the curtain.  They make it very hard for people to find out how rich they really are.

wikipedia has a great article on the Rothschilds.  Castles and castels, vineyards, etc.  And who knows how much gold.  They are RICH, yet hardly anyone publicizes them...

The rich are SUPPOSED to rule the world in a properly capitalist system.

That's what capitalism is all about.  Government is just window-dressing to prevent the poor from doing anything to change that balance of power.

Well it was BLOOMBERG that ran with the story.

The real wealthy measure their worth in CONTROL, not some digits that they can create out of thin air.

And that level of control will ensure that they never end up on these lists.

Here is a hint:

"On the announcement of the marriage, the de Rothschild couple were invited to spend their honeymoon at the White House, where they agreed to stay one night.

That is power.
