I just hope they really have their shit together on the Warhead thing.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Anonymous is nothing but psyops to advance Internet control by TPTB. If they were serious they would stop with the kid's games and disrupt something in the system that would be a little more problematic. You want to prove you're serious Anon? Take down a bank.
Si, just like Davos and the Arabspringaling bros.
(Say, wasn't Davros the name of the chief Dalek?)
Ever consider that the group can't actually do anything more problematic? Using your example, financial institutions have siphoned off top tech talent for a generation+. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been invested on IT infrastructure and its protection. Seems like a stretch that a handful of script kiddies could do something more damaging than denial of service.
That's my take on it as well.
No way it can be psyops in it's entirety because anonymous on the whole is just that - anonymous - no membership criteria, no vetting, and back in the day used to consist mainly of dumb 4chan fucks.
That's not to say gov couldn't use the name to their advantage, but I think the gov would come up with better ways than just using bloody ddosing as the primary attack.
The banks gobbled up all the Russian hackers?
Somewhere in this equation you KNOW that operatives from other countries are hacking away as well, in which case the US govt does have a sense of a real concern. That said, child rapists in prison are worried about security too.
Launch! No need for games for a group that wants free access for all information.
Maybe they can't -what do you want them to do " Blow of the F ed?
......so, they are sitting on all this great information and they put up a video game?
Charlatans.
Psyops
Fakes.
The weekend timing really reeks of not causing a REAL problem. I suspect the whole page is just an isolated loop that can be replaced with the "real" page with a few keystrokes before it actually causes a problem come Monday.
If "Anonymous" were real hackers, their anger over the Schwartz deal would NOT have been to get the public to play an obsolete video game.
Do be distracted by this, look at what Napaltano is doing while your reading this.

Only 7K? Meh.
Over 2.7 million new guns sold in December alone. Over 19.5 million in 2012.
Exactly. What is there 300-500 million gun in the USA? That's nothing.
And a quarter million new NRA members in the last two months.
David Gregory and Piers Morgan could not be reached for comment.
So according to the math that's 3,629.032258064516 an hour. They just dialed back 2 hours. Nothing to see here.
ROTFLMAO!!!
Citing a General Service Administration (GSA) request for proposal (RFP), Steve McGough of RadioViceOnline.com reports that DHS is asking for the 7,000 “select-fire” firearms because they are “suitable for personal defense use in close quarters.” The term select-fire means the weapon can be both semi-automatic and automatic. Civilians are prohibited from obtaining these kinds of weapons.
The RFP describes the firearm as “Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) – 5.56x45mm NATO, select-fire firearm suitable for personal defense use in close quarters and/or when maximum concealment is required.” Additionally, DHS is asking for 30 round magazines that “have a capacity to hold thirty (30) 5.56x45mm NATO rounds.”
Republican New York state Sen. Greg Ball also issued a press release this week bringing attention to the weapons purchase request.
Calls made to DHS seeking information regarding whether or not the RFP was accepted and fulfilled were not immediately returned on Saturday."
New Yawkers must be asking themselves now...where do submit my RFP for my brand new PDW with accessories like 30rd mags under this wonderful new government program? ;-)
Well they better make sure the newly recruited Generation Y 'tards, whom have been thoroughly trained using 'Call of Duty - Black Ops II' took comprehensive notes during the rather boring course, via some on-line flash video conference, on how to strip, clean and take care of said shinny new AR Platform of EVILtm 'wabbit' gun...
Fear Not You Have An M1A
What are they going to shoot these out of?
just love it !!!! can you guys do the same with the IRS ???
Is this a "Red" or "Orange" alert? I forgot.
It's a BROWN alert!
The highest level!!!...code named: SKIDMARK.
no shit
anony mouse = impotent
Never has a group made more white noise with no results.
Yawn.
WTF DOES IT SAY? WTF IS ON THE SITE? I AM ON MY PHONE!
WTF no High Score ladder?
Oh, I see... this constructive & civilized, 73-page PDF proposal is to hopefully give TPTB the incentive to, er... 'behave'? Nice, harmless "ante up" move though.
Wow it sounds like it would have been really cool if it actually worked!
it does, fix you laptop mate
took the site 5 minutes to load, then tried it with 2 browsers on 2 laptops... might have worked before... btw, fix your 'r' key
Those were complicated instructions. I didn't see anything.
They gotta quit being so damned verbose. 8 sentences or less. Less is more.
The b & a lowercase. Where is the fire button?
SPACEBAR
That was fun!
These guys hacked the mighty fortress of the USSA? I'm feeling good about my security how about you? I wonder if they have calls the pres on the red phone and ordered a pizza yet?
Anonymous should hack the gold price and 'revalue'.
That'd be UP, UP, UP, and UP some more. And the same for silver.
Yeah, just inflict chaos on society and that will take place on its own. Okay, the rest of the world may suffer - but as long as the gold price in ZHers portfolio climbs...
And as I have just seen in the other Anonymous thread, it gets rationalized with "progress from chaos". Wasn't that the philosophy of the villains of Babylon 5? The shadows?
It would be unimpressive if they could hack into the Federal Reserve, justice department and find documented email and proof on the criminal activity and fraud. Then blast it through the internet and media.
Useless Eric Placeholder.
If you wanna be properly fucked living in the US, click on that link and follow the instructions.
Yeah, how's that work? You play a game on a page downloaded to your own computer, having no effect whatsoever on the source and you are guilty of what, exactly?
Sunday 8PM EST and it's still fucked up.
I can't say I agree with Anonymous, but this made me lol.
Anonymous is too active for my tastes. The cypherpunks are more my flavor. Keep it on the QT.
Yes, there is a difference.

pending review by DHS.....
That's awesome. Eventually the government will begin to listen to the people instead of the corrupt corporations. Or at least one can hope.
No, I'm afraid that they'll now be too busy playing video games... (gotta rest from the tranny midget porn every now and then)
Site down.
Anonymous is planning to jaywalk in front of 1600 PA Ave.
To the barricades!!
Next time when a computer based "shake the world on its heels" protest happens, could I play this instead?...

It`s down I think :(
While your at it take down investorshubs and all those naked shorters rings.
Site now unresponsive.

Hacking a website to put a game on it?
Is this some kind of game?
Weren't you paying attention? The only way to win is to not play.
Did they take the site down?
Read just this week that DOJ has 40 CIOs...where are they? I can almost bet one of them is in a little hot water.
OK I get it Your upset with the US Goverment. but tell me... What is this shIt! - Picard Wtf
http://memegenerator.net/instance/33968968
Let me reiterate my point:
Bringing corruption to light is a-okay. Telling democratically elected governments (however flawed they may be): "We have this information on you and either you do X or we will do Y to you" is not. That is making RAF-style demands, trying to coerce governments.
And any of you who think that Anonymous and its sympathizers isn't full of people who think "rich people are pretty much all bad" is wrong. Do you really believe Anonymous would lead to more liberty? Or to more socialism?
If they were a-okay, they'd just hack the gov and release what evidence of corruption they had found. Without all the BS.
People miss one point. They are kids (mentally and age wise) not adults, very smart ones technically but lacking in the wisdom and common sense department. Kids think it is a video game or some hollywood movie and not serious business. The grunts (and maybe the generals) here are clearly kids.
Youtube video of the embedded js for those who don't know why they shouldn't be running java programs
p.s. If you don't know why, don't run any java at this point that you don't know the souce to - NoScript will prevent auto-launching of said Javascript
Java (compiled, server-side) != Javascript (interpreted, client-side).
Very good point, and a bit of a slip-up. I'd not looked at the .gov code live when I made that comment, because I've no willingness to dive into that particular shit-storm.
Since that post, I've learnt that various Anons have put the code up open source to be examined on GitHub; it seems to be safe. I suggest a look around #opLastResort for more details. However, the US gov (and other sources) have been warning about Javascript exploits for some time now, and NoScript should be the very least of your protections, so it can't hurt.
Blame it on a lack of coffee; the code was indeed Javascript (at least the KONAMI code activation part), so could have been open to expolits. Screengrab of part of Javascript used.
Apologies for the FUD, the intention was correct.
Your system has been shocked. Remember to Salt The Fries
thanks aurora
looks like they crashed the site?
Well done?
