Person Trampled As Fight Breaks Out At Greek Free Food Handout

Tyler Durden's picture

In yet another day marked by simply unbearable propaganda, about an hour ago an EU official pulled a Lanny Breuer and was quoted as saying that "things are going well" in Greece. Oh are they? Then perhaps the same official can explain why a clip of a scuffle breaking out at a free food handout in Greece, where one man was "trampled and injured", and where a "Reuters photographer was hit on the head with cauliflower heads" has been the most watched item on Greek TV in the past day?

From Reuters:

Hundreds of Greeks scuffled for free vegetables handed out by farmers on Wednesday, leaving one man trampled and injured and prompting an outcry over the growing desperation created by economic crisis.

Startling images of Greeks struggling to seize bags of tomatoes and leeks thrown from a truck dominated Greek television, triggering a bout of soul-searching over the new depths of poverty in the debt-laden country.

One man was treated for injuries after being trampled when he fell to the ground in the commotion. A Reuters photographer at the scene was hit on the head with cauliflower heads.

The farmers said they gave away 50 metric tonnes (55.11 tons) of produce in under two hours

...

"These images make me angry. Angry for a proud people who have no food to eat, who can't afford to keep warm, who can't make ends meet," said Kostas Barkas, a lawmaker from the leftist Syriza party.

Other lawmakers from across the political spectrum decried the images "of people on the brink of despair" and the sense of "sadness for a proud people who have ended up like this".

"It's difficult. I never imagined that I would end up here," said Panagiota Petropoulos, 65, who struggles to get by on her 530-euro monthly pension while paying 300 euros in rent.

"I can't afford anything, not even at the fruit market. Everything is expensive, prices of everything are going up while our income is going down and there are no jobs."

Well, at least Greece has the Euro, as a result of which the only way to resolve the competitve imbalances is to continue with internal devaluation which means another 25% drop in Greek wages as shown previously all else equal. Which means many more incidents of "trampling" to come.

...every african nation is one election away from a Mugabe.

Yeah, but according to you, here in this N. American nation, we've already GOT ONE.  There's obviously no escape.

I do still wonder, though, because I don't think you've ever answered this: how can it be that the inferior/stupid/grossly-outnumbered minority of Negroes can destroy a country run by the superior/smarter/wealthier/more-powerful white majority?

Intuitively, I'd have to assume it's some kind of conspiracy being implemented by some other group.

They don't.  Blacks have no real power.

Go and research organizations with political power like NAACP and see who runs and funds them.  But I think you already know the answer here.

And that group has a significantly higher average IQ than whites.  So in a way, their class vs class rulership is somewhat meritocratic.  However, I'm the biggest individual meritocrat there is.  I don't give a shit what the fuck group you belong to; what matters is who YOU are.

Consequently, I would have a meritocratic elite composed of whomever belonged there, not the relatives of people who did.

Well, glad to finally hear you say it.

Yes, of course.  The Jew uses the black as muscle against the whites.

Given that the Jew is more intelligent than the white, however, it's hard to imagine how much more "meritocratic" the world could possibly become without completely eliminating what we might consider basic human socialization.  It sounds like you'd seen an IMPROVEMENT to be gained from our species' socialization reduced to the level of ants or termites or something.

Given, too, that there are countries "unpolluted" by the influence of black DNA and the nepotistic Jewry, there are some pretty straightforward comparisons that should be made.  Just for reference's sake.  And posterity.

Actually, when I did a bit of traveling in Europe many years ago (1970's) I noticed that, outside of the UK, nobody in Europe (even the Germans!) knows how to queue.  Theaters, train stations, everywhere, it's crowd around and jostle for position.  Otherwise civil and polite, helpful people are elbowing each other for nothing.  Survival of the fattest I guess.

So, add to that the desperation of hunger and the need to feed your hungry children, it would get explosive quickly.

It will be interesting (horrifically tragic, actually) to see the likes of the French jostling in "lines" like this with their burgeoning interloping north African Mohammedan population.

It's still the same today, when I lived in Italy people shoved each other out of the way to get in line for night clubs or restaurants.  What is considered common courtesy in the US doesn't exist culturally in many areas in Europe.

I wasn't shocked by the video, that's really business as usual.  Without the context they could be waiting for an iPhone for all I know.

There is a food give-away going on right now two blocks from my house.

The have the arrivals stand in a line, then they let people in to a small marked off area of a parking lot where the volunteer workers continually make piles of food from the available supply. Much of it is surplus from farms and distributors. Each person when they get to the front of the line is walked over to a pile of food that they can pick up and carry off. Most of it is in plastic shpping bags for ease in carrying.

It is organized by the neighborhood church and is always well managed and orderly. I don't see everyon one of them, but they seem to be held about once a week or two at most. There are others around town as well.

I'm posting my honest thoughts here.  Even if you think this is absolutely nuts, someone here will at least find a way to entertain themselves with my conspiracy theories.

1. Greece had to increase it's military (which is backed by NATO) when it was already financially struggling in the aftermath of the subprime scandal.  Goldman Sachs has record of two submarines listed on the supersecret military balance sheets. It's supersecret because both Goldman Sachs and the military are decent, honest, transparant and ethical people.    This spending dropped Greece into deficit territory on their balance sheets. Of course Goldman Sachs is coming to collect whats' due to them on the Interest Swaps while the US military complex sells i believe jets to Turkey?

2. Greece increased it's military ops because Turkey increased it's military ops.  THey did this because Greece has rights over Cyprus which would include it's oil.  Turkey is not a part of the Euro which actually spared them from weak export markets.  Turkey exports $22 billion to OPEC each year.  Turkey is not financially struggling when it raising the spending on it's military because Turkey is fortunate enough to have a trade SURPLUS.

3. Turkey just helps themselves to Cyprus oil.  THis is the same oil that Russia, US and Israel is interested in as well.

4. Me thinks that there's a tight relationship and some collaboration between the Islamic country of Turkey and OPEC.  It seems as if the Islamic countries really want to push the oil prices up.  Anywhere, any time, during any economy.  To cut their markets' nose off despite its face.

But they're the geniuses that use suicide bombers to defend it's black gold meal ticket.

5. Cyprus must have A LOT of oil.  If OPEC controls Cyprus, then it can halt production to prevent a threat of reduced oil prices.  If Greece and non-OPEC countries gain control of Cyprus oil, there is plenty of it to push the prices down.

Greece is not that big of a country in itself capable of shaking the world's economy or tanking stock exchanges throughout the world if it defaults.  There's something bigger that Greece is connected to which makes it significant.  I know I'm playing Captain Obvious here.

On some level it seems as if Goldie Sachs is involved.  Somehow they also dumped BP shares by the boatload right before the rig.  I think Goldie Saches at least has a window view of what's going on.

MY question is, how the heck do you bet on it?  What do you watch out for?  Currency swaps?  Petrodollar?  This is going to be a fun puzzle.

At least the Greeks trample someone to get food.

Here in Amurika, the masses trample someone to death at WalMart trying to get a new toy.
