The US, in its own decline, is showing this same self-destructive tendency. The worse things get, the greater the inclination of the citizenry to say, “Carry on, everything’s fine.”

Bill Gross On "New Form Capitalism"

Tyler Durden's picture

When even a "bond king" says the stock market is broken, is it not time for "the retail investor is coming back" cheerleaders to finally throw in the towel?

I thought the same way,

However,I can't see how by plundering pension plans, they'll be able to unload all the shit they have.

Not enough, IMO.

The predators are stuck.

Just had the 10:30am slide....it appears the 8:20am didn't work in taking out $1,638/oz and now it must needs to definitely get it to $1,625...followed by $1,590, all the way to retest $1,525.

Stocks play ketchup as investors relish Heinz deal. (That's my headline for the story.)

Seriously, notice how the link to the story doesn't even match the updated story?

The Internet can't even keep up with our financial chicanery any longer.

The bond king will always try to make the stock market look bad - it is his business. Whether he is right or not is irrelevant.

Stock market is run by futures manipulation during off hours and HFT during the day.  What new?  The gov can get massive bank for their buck with at least 50X leverage on futures.

Yeah, part of me thinks that if it does fall apart, we'll wake up one morning and the bottom will have dropped out overnight and they'll be no escape.  The market will go bidless.  A lot of good stops will do if the S&P gets an overnight haircut of 30-50%.

What's weird all of the so called liquidity isn't making it to the PM's.. Is deflation lurking or what?  Silver in a Bear for two yrs.

Was it manipulation that sent it to 49$ 2 yrs ago?  The scary thing now is the Fed Spent Tens of Trillions and it didn't Work!!!!!It's going to get UUGLy Post Bernank (when Bernank starts cleaning up his mess) in late 2013.

new market capitalism : CB controlled, infinite print liquidity, and oligarchy specific targetting. No place for small fish.

Imagine if Caesar and the Pope controlled the market; deep in debt but now setting all the bets at the rigged table; under total regulatory capture.

We are there. Only those in purple and with Caesar's blessing win at this casino.

what's in a name; a dog by another name would it Mew (like a puss)?

If we use traditional etymology, Communists are people who act as dictators, in the name of the lowest echelons of society : the proles; aka dictatorship of proletariat by a Politburo.

Hardly the case today. The FED represents the TBTF; aka the Jamie and Blankfein breed; behind them and the curtain, the Roths and Rockafellas of old.

How in hell can people defending THEIR values be labelled "Commies"? They are the capitalists par excellence!

While you're at it can you make Ben B mew by calling him : pussy?

Thanks!

PS : for your info until Kissinger and Nixon went and played pong with Mao, no communist ever used rigged capital markets to make money and impose power; they used decrees, unilateral laws and police state execution. Same result but different method. State combines dont need to pretend about price discovery. They just IMPOSE the price, period; and they produce as monopolies; no choice for consumer!

The west has not sunk that low; not yet!

Fucking Bill, another white collar shit hawk criminal.

Go do something constructive pencil neck, or LEARN "How" to "Do" something constructive, instead of living off the backs and labour of others.

Shit hawk, the worst kind.

How does an economy with corporations producing "record profits" and the goverrnment proving "record spending" and the Federal Reserve providing "record stimulus" have ZERO% GDP? I repeat, 0.000000000% GDP.

Can anyone answer this? Please.

Good point:  It is all about concentration vs dispersion.  Record public company profits does not necessarily mean the Chinese laundry store on the corner is doing well.  Record spending-- beyond basic cronie pork is transfer payments that do not make up for the lost employment income and record stimulus--- it is a nominal clusterfuck that under reports the reality of prices!  Simple

Bombs blowup....gotta buy more. Stock piling 2 billion rounds. Need new jet, tanks, ships, bunkers, tsa peter puffera, dhs map readers, mercury for flu shots, aluminium oxide to spray on yew, flouride for drinking water, depleted uranium, think tanks that think about how to kill.... etc. etc. etc.

Funny no worries about global radiation just cherry picked data climate change rhetoric while they spray 1000's of tons of chemtrail poisions, heavy metals and radiation. Climates change. They just want carbon credits they control because their fiat tp is done and they can't use gold/silver because it's real.

Nothing new. Capitalism is capitalism. The difference is in whether flows to more prosperous places due to fundamental economics or whether it flows because of corruption and manipulation.

This isn't new. Both exist at the same time. The difference is that the areas of corruption and manipulation are growing and is larger then the fundamental economic reasons.

WTF.

"Nothing new. Capitalism is capitalism."

Huge difference. Capitalism requires things like consent, contracts & actual capital. Printing centrally controlled currency enforced by government and/or private officer armies to confiscate wealth using taxation in the chosen fiat currency is very much anti-capitalism And there’s nothing you can add to this which inverts the change – you have to remove it at the source. No more centrally controlled fiat, no more fractional-reserve, no more special inequalities in law which disregard contracts & property law for SELECTED parties. Do all that and we may return to capitalism but what we have now is the precise mirror image of it. BROKEN property rights BROKEN contracts and BROKEN LAWS with a special privileged class able to continue to be paid to do criminal things while WE would be imprisoned for the same activity.
