Titan CEO vs France Round 3: "The Wackos Of The Communist Union Destroy The Highest Paying Jobs"

Tyler Durden's picture

The saga of the capitalist vs the socialist goes on with Round 3, following round 1 in which the "Titan CEO Crushes Socialist "Work Ethic", Tells France "You Can Keep Your So-Called Workers" and round 2 in which "Socialist France Responds To Titan CEO, Hilarity Ensues." With the entire "developed" world now a real-time parody of itself, in which the truth about the true state of affairs is only revealed in grotesque, farcical, ad-hominem repartees between various members of the insolvent status quo plutocracy, we can only hope for many more rounds of this didactic back and forth.

Excerpted from Titan CEO Maurice Taylor's follow up letter in response to Arnaud Montebourg's letter responding to Maurice Taylor.

You letter shows the extent to which your political class is out of touch with real world problems.

You call me an extremist, but most businessmen would agree that I must be nuts to have the idea to spend millions of US dollars to buy a tyre factory in France paying some of the highest wages in the world.

Your letter did not mention why the French government has not stepped in to rescue this Goodyear tyre factory.

The extremist, Mr Minister, is your government and the lack of knowledge about how to build a business.

Your government let the wackos of the communist union destroy the highest paying jobs.

At no time did Titan ask for lower wages; we asked only if you want seven hours pay, you work at least six.

France does have beautiful women and great wine.

PS: My grandmother named my father after French entertainer Maurice Chevalier, and I inherited the name.

I have visited Normandy with my wife. I know what we did for France.

Two points:

1. The French need to answer the question why they don't save the factory if it is such a good proposition?

2. Are Americans also working 3 hour days which has caused the loss of manufacturing jobs? I think not. When kids in America get pocket money that is often higher than Chinese wages, it is a bit rich to blame it just on unions.

"Ya see they tend to forget shit like that cos they is Frenchies, in the DNA, so best not to mention"

Maybe they know Europe WAS saved by the Russian army, who lost about 20 mil soldiers during WWII. Compare it to the 400 000 casualties the US took on two fronts.

But hey if your idea of learning what happened between 1940 and 1945 is to watch "Save Pvt Ryan" more power to you!

The number of US casualties in France is almost insignificant compared with the Military (and civilian) body-count in the Seige of Leningrad. http://necrometrics.com/battles.htm

So get off your high horse Mr Yankee - if it wasn't for the Russians and the horrendous attrition on the Eastern Front, the Axis powers would certainly have won WW2.

Parrothole, I dont care how many Russians died in Stalingrad-they were defending their homeland on the other hand we Yankee's were defending our interest and your bacon (if you are a Euro), be proud of  the fact, you could be speaking German or Russian right now. At least if it were German the trains would run on time. We were an exceptional country at one time and saved Europe twice. Be glad it happened then it won't in the future. Maybe you will like Sharie Law:)

Or maybe you are getting your own variant of sharia law i the U.S. ?

The various amendments keep getting overturned and the spead is increasing. Soon the Feds will come and take away your guns. Non-statists,veterans , libertarians and people whose sole misfortune it is to be born white will come to feel the heat this summer.Do you think you will be having some sort of civil war?It has always seemed like very far flung idea but with all these TSA,DHS,Drones and "terrorists" thigs seem to be moving towards that.

And where is the much prised Supreme Court in all of this.Is the Constitution and Bill of Rights the law of the land.Or not?

Last week DoD started mailing letter to all veterans that if they had been placed on any medication (e.g. psychotropic drugs) , or perhaps even ordered to be on that medication , they had to start turning in their guns to the authorities. No 2nd amendment for them. And certainly no court or due process.

It's a case of the global industrialist pissing on the obvious choice for the moment. The goal is two dollar an hour labor but the capitalist cant see that he is eating his own future by destroying the middle class. If we can make it to next quarter we will be ok.

I loved the prose introducing that article! Since the "real" world is so totally dominated by triumphant financial frauds, there is nothing left but to appreciate what feeds an increasingly macabre sense of humour:

"... a real-time parody of itself, in which the truth about the true state of affairs is only revealed in grotesque, farcical, ad-hominem repartees between various members of the insolvent status quo plutocracy ..."

It's the problem with the socialists: no education! Montebourg should invite Mr Taylor to discuss the issue around a glass of wine in his chateau in the great French tradition. The factory would be closed all the same but at least they would have a good time.

Likewise, from a French point of view, it is unfortunate that France was liberated by American soldiers. The French would eventually have won the war on their own by absobtion and without a gunshot. Most French didn't care that much about the Nazi, they only cared about "privations"  and the German soldiers who occupied France had to be sent to the Russian front afterwar to learn what real life was about. 20 years later they were all back with more peaceful intentions.

"Are all these idiots on CNBC and Bloomberg actually that stupid to act like the market is going up for any other reason than the 85 Billion going in every month?"

No.

"How do these people get paid?"

By the revenue produced by the sell side companies which sponsor the shows.  It is their job to paint lipstick on pigs so people will buy them.
