The average participant thinks high = good and low = bad so they never buy low or sell high. They do the opposite; they sell low and buy high. You need these people to exist, they are the ones who will willingly and with eagerness take your AAPL stock off your hands at $700 hold it all the way down and then sell it back to you at $200. They are your safe haven.
The markets literally can't work without the Cramers and the followers of the Cramers of this world. So I think you should be showing him some more respect.

I have actually met Cramer. He happens to be a very nice guy. Say what you want about the guy. If you are on TV every day you are gonna be wrong a whole lot but I'll reserve my venom for a Dennis Gartman or any one of the "fast money" idiots. I do think Cramer has helped people understand the market better than most TV personalities and he is the one that has actually been successful in real life. He is the ONLY one with an actual track record and he is open about it. It should be mandatory when they drag out a Garman or any other fund manager that a chart be accompanied with their ugly mugs

What shrinking of the float? The float hasn't shrunk. What has shrunk is what is left in the companies the idiots still have stock. Note the last 15 years and the value of a point invested in the SPX. Buybacks reduce that, additional investment increases it. So that if there is trillion in buybacks at SPX 1000, the price of a point will go down $1 billion. The price of a point hasn't changed much in the past decade, despite trillions in buybacks. BECAUSE so many high cap entries have GONE TO ZERO or Stock HELL.
Forgive this non-american for not knowing better but isn't this Kramer the guy that used to promote stocks that his hedge fund buddies were shorting at the same time -- once the shorts were all-in down would come the stock.
