There Goes The Sequester
Today is the day when, if one listens to Obama whose idea it was in the first place, an unprecedented $85 billion spending cuts will be sequestered, unleashing famine, pestilence, the apocalypse and grizzly bears (as all park rangers will be dead from starvation). Which is why we applaud the administration's desire to preempt this tragic for the nation outcome, by issuing, in one day alone: February 28, $80 billion in Treasurys sending debt to (obviously) what is a new all time high $16,687,289,180,215.37.
In other words, the entire apocalyptic impact of the sequester for 2013 was offset by one day's debt issuance.
Oh, and we didn't label this post Friday humor because it rightfully falls under the Friday grotesque, surreal tragedy category.

So are we to understand that "halving the deficit" was maybe never really his policy? I mean, has the guy ever argued for other than expanding US deficits since this lying little turd came to power in 2008 under clearly false and fraudulent policy pretenses? I don't mean the times where he eloquently suggested that ideally it should be so in the fullness of time that the deficit should be halved, some day kinda soon-ish. But when push actually comes to shoving, has the toxic little bastard ever argued seriously to NET REDUCE the US deficit?
Even after Orzag said in early 2009 that anything in the range of 5% of GDP was completely unsustainable? And I also don't mean those mere tokenism 'cuts' within the ever maw bloated 'budget', done for MSM lie-support apparatus purposes, but an actual serious sustained policy argument for a NET reduction in US spending to much less than the admitted, and known to be unsustainable ~5% of GDP range for spending.
Has Obomba ever argued as passionately for a NET reduction in US deficits as he seems to constantly do to implore maintained and expanded US spending and deficits, even whilst awarding Govt pay rises to the already best paid (ahem non-) 'workers' in the country?
Whereas in fact his perverse contrary policy looks more like a concerted effort to totally shaft US Govt finance permanently. I mean, if that was your unstated aim, and you had only 8 years to do it would you do much that's different to this? Tell every one your going to go one way, to smaller and smaller deficits and govt, remove ear-marks and cut whole programs, and then spend relentless efforts for 4.5 years going in precisely the other direction? To increasing the pork, and introducing new programs, and expanding govt and arguing that the debt should always grow and the spending never be cut, and for the deficits to remain at astronomically high levels. Deficit levels that were literally unthinkable even in 2007!
And it's all happening because he doesn't have the political guts and decency to admit that the US can't afford to live the way that it does, that unbacked credit is the only thing left, that the country has been running on fumes ever since he came to office, and all he has ever done is to attempt to pretend that it isn't so, and to pretend that the TBTF banks are not just the toxic ZOMBIE institutions that we were warned of in 2008, that would destroy all that remained. And have certainly not ceased to do that ever since.
And he actually expects respect and deference for this? Or is that false indignation also just his dreary schtick? Obviously it is.
So if you were intent on destroying the nation's finances, would you not tell these same basic lies, maintain this same basic act of absurd denials, and mumble platitudes about reducing the deficit by 50%, then turn around and make every excuse in the world for doing the exact opposite?
Seriously, what would you do differently?
But you'd hope that there was an actual genuine political opposition to point that reality out in very plain, consistent and blunt terms, and impeach the little rat-bastard, but there isn't, and they won't, and the party supporting the prick, the democrats, are doing everything possible to assist him to keep doing it, and the mass media are doing the exact same. Because the actual truth is that 100 totally committed independently determined people, armed with nothing more than common kitchen utensils could change the balance of power on this earth overnight if they were actually free enough within their own selves to do what was required.
The whole problem here is not one of a lack of options, nor access to amazingly deadly and effective arms, nor to ample opportunities and numerous avenues of effective action, it's one of outright pre-emptive mental defeat, of minds bound to conformity.
And it will only ever be in this present moment, the right now, that this can ever cease to be so. Thus you are discouraged from any sort of creative initiative to independent effective actions.
Instead TPTB and its ministries propaganda-media and intellectual organizations brand that sort of response as 'impulsivity', label it a "mental illness" and allude to the possibility of brain-damage, they systematically discourage any sort of effective immediate world-changing actions, by any genuinely free people. Truly free people act independently of all external coercions, they respect no authorities, words are irrelevant, only action counts, and that's a terribly dangerous and threatening being, for the TPTB, for they know that this is the quality of being necessary that will act to destroy them at any moment, without warning or hesitation. This is what they fear, this is the radical, this is the 'terrorist', a free being of action that they can never control.
That is the Tyler Durden mind, the mind expressed in FightClub, the energizing audacity to act freely, to just let go internally, to be actually free of everything, to let action have its way, to end the tyranny.
And NO ONE of you is doing it for real. The scumbags keep acting freely, without fear of you, and you sooks keep doing nothing about it. You're already mentally defeated and self-locked into being their bitch. If you can't see this, if you're too afraid to go there, if going down that road is just too scary, if it seems completely mad to contemplate, then you'll never stop shying away, and you'll never do a damn thing about any of it, and you'll always be cursing and waiting for someone else to do something.

Independence means you act independently, without reference to another, or a law or an organization. It means you are literally a rogue as there are zero rules for you and an infinite variety of actions are then possible, but will only take place via the apparent worth and validity of such acts. Actions which not within the bounds nor a product of royal ascent, nor a legislated legality. Nor even answerable to peers or social ethics.
So they then call it 'terrorism', and regard anyone who might act truly independently in that way as an enemy of the state, and lambaste it as another in a series of mental illnesses, or label it extremism. When it is simply pure freedom that they fear the most. And it is not only they that fear it, you fear being free too!
Is this too hard to ask of you? To be completely free? Are you incapable of that pure freedom to act, even in your own defense? A freedom to act without fear, where regret and conscience and responsibility or guilt are mere invalid memes that simply don't register and are irrelevant? Freedom that has no orders from above, requires no orders, will accept no 'orders', but nevertheless is entirely orderly in its expression?
Then the order is you, totally disciplined and viable, no hero, just a very dangerous state of totally free action. It's what TPTB and the scumbags like Obuma fear encountering most of all. A sizable group who are truly free of all mental bounds and will act without any constraints to defend themselves. It's why they invest in drones and Stazi-esque surveillance of the allegedly 'free'.

For what is the meaning or expression of actual freedom and independence without any natural free and independent action? Without the action it does not exist in any form whatsoever. It is you just conning yourself that you're free and independent. But freedom and independence is entirely within you, it can not exist in the world at all, if it is not in you first -- and actually there inside you. You can't fake it at all. You are either completely free to act independently, or you are not. There is no grey area in this. It is a digital state, it is on, or it is off. There is no partial freedom, no partial independence, no partial action. If there is any restraint, if there is any constraint, if there is any fear to act, if you are afraid of your ending, if you wish to live at all costs, if you hesitate to act, then by definition you are not free and you are not independent, and you are no threat to TPTB, and you will never do anything but gripe about corruption.
And that's as clear as I can be about how and why you're already mentally pre-defeated. Your fear is to act, your real fear is to ever be totally free, to be 100% independent of and indifferent to usurped power. It's really just the selfish desire for someone else to do it for you, so that you won't be exposed to the terrible horror of being 100% completely free to act, for the rest of your life. it's such a terrible thing--no?
So you're lost to the utter psychological horrors of complete freedom to act, its utter foreignness to your past experience, thus you'd rather indirectly destroy yourself, via doing nothing, via not acting, than to be completely free to act. Because the inner freedom of your being is THE state that produces the ability to act and make irrevocable changes. It is the state that permits swift defense and resolution of odious threats from feral wicked government.
So actual freedom, and actual free mind, the freedom of action is ALWAYS going to be individually expressed, it's NEVER going to be a collective social process. It's never going to spring into being from hanging out on a fucking blog-site bitchez. Countries around the world are taking on more debt without any fruitful attempts to curb their expenditures. This has resulted in a much more fragile and artificially held up financial system which is on a much shaky ground than it was in 2008. In 2008 companies failed due to excessive leverage and debt and now countries are likely to default because they took on the same bad debt on themselves.
The only credible long term way out of this is to go through short term pain of austerity measures. But any austerity to be implemented on the rest of the population should be only done after slashing the salaries and entitlements of the politicians and the government employees by a similar percentage.
