And Rejected: 40 Minutes Later "Optimism" Denied By ECB
Moments after the last Hopium and Optimism driven surge in the EURUSD, we asked a simple question:
So what happens when Cyprus is not fixed "within hours"
— zerohedge (@zerohedge) March 22, 2013
...we just got our answer, courtesy of the perfectly expected ECB rejection, which this time waited a whopping 40 minutes before showing Cyprus who's boss

SHOW ME THE MONEY!
I hear Stolper has all his own funds in BitCoins....
and cue... market rallies anyway because why the fuck not?
whooda thunk 666 to toady? zero hedge may be right in long term, but they have been wrong on daily basis posting all negative stories. on a long enough time line all markets crash. zero hedge has become junk reading....i don't really know why i come here at all anymore.
the whole fucking thing is bullshit-why do you think volumes have plummeted the last 5 years?
derek, you come here for the great company. As I said before, sometimes user comments may be more interesting than the posts.
I think we found the identity of the mysterious downvoter.
"He prowls the message boards at night, junking every post. Making everyone believe their points are worthless and their opinions wrong. Saving the internet for the true heroes. Robotrader will be avenged."
Yep, and they are possibly confused sexually.

Hey Derek - feel free to post all of the positive stories coming out of Europe or the US lately. I'd love to read them. Or maybe you can post about the great earnings reports from FDX, AAPL, CAT, ORCL, WMT, etc... Feel free to explainwhy the FED feels it necessary to pump $85 Billion every month into such a sound economy.
thx.
It’s important to realize, Derek, that the current situation is not what Bernanke wants; he wants it all.
He wants complete control of all phases of our lives. And what Zero Hedge is doing, and what we support in its efforts, is resisting. ZH is pointing out the rising dangers; it is attaching numbers and facts to the decline in the American system. It is tolling the bell that warns of the demise of our present civilization…
If no one takes the lead with this resistance, then the tyrants not only keep their current system in place, they will move to the police state action where American citizens are ordered as in which industry they will be involved, their incomes will be completely controlled by the state and their every movement will be monitored.
For those who proclaim Bernanke as the winner, they have plenty of cohorts throughout the world chanting in unison – the major media, the purchased politicians and, of course, the prostitute economists.
Surely, there’s a place for truth and resistance fighting.
Gone already are major parts of America’s Bill of Rights and Constitutional guarantees, freedom of movement, investment opportunities, and the rule of law. In their place are completely corrupted political parties, courts and legislatures, along with the loss of representative government.
Would you suggest at this time to relax and enjoy it? I rather think this is bad advice.
To top it off the American taxpayer is forced to submit to a declining standard of living while subsidizing and paying tribute with his savings and labor to the very tyrants who now occupy America’s seats of government and regulatory agencies --the bankers.
For whom does the bell in Cyprus toll? It tolls for thee…
“No man is an island, entire of itself; every
man is a piece of the continent, a part of the
main. If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory
were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or
of thine own were: any man's death diminishes
me, because I am involved in mankind, and
therefore never send to know for whom the bell
tolls; it tolls for thee."
John Donne
ive been on this board for years.....and agree that this debt is unsustainable. ive watched futures all night several times since 2009 thinking this is finally the crash. have seen some really awesome posters come and go (particularly fukijima). read through every article and now they all have a negative spin. maybe bernanke pulled it off......he has for 5 years...maybe it will last 10 or more. but to sit here another 5 years and watch everyone hope for a crisis is just so depressing. i challenge tyler to write about feasible solutions---not pot shot at everything that happens. whats a workable plan? seems bernankes plan is doing reasonably ok-----maybe getting 10 or 20 years more out of this empire is the best solution. seems like a lot of you enjoy bitching and moaning and hoping for prepper society. real preppers don't babble about it.
Ok so I take this as a market top...derek has finally succumbed to the Bernanke neo Keynesian nerve gas.
The neo Keynesian nerve gas is emitted 24/7 out of Big Media and in Universities. It's goal is to befuddle and disencourage western logic and western morality. Y'know...that stealing of people's wealth and work thing....
Thanks for your honesty derek, you have held out as long as you could. The Bernank and his smirking pack of jackals have claimed another to their side.
Now....I must turn my back on you....never come back.
'never come back' ???
are you that narrow minded, you have to repeat the same chant with same posters over and over to believe yourself?
Don't worry Derek baby, good things come to those who wait. I've been here since ZH was a blog spot. There comes a point where we want good news so badly, but honey, you can't go back to the make believe Steak. It's just an illusion. There is no spoon.
I'm sorry baby, the Event Horizon has passed. Sustain yourself with family and friends, enjoy sports, Frak a hooker.
But this is Fight Club, not Happy Club.
Xoxoxo
exactly my frame of thought Derek,,,,,,,,if the end is in + -- 20 yrs ,,,,well i`ll die happy but if it is going to happen sooner well lets have RIGHTFUCKINGNOW,,,,,before i`m too old to manage.
kruzer----the solution is extreme austerity. no-one will like that. lower standard of living accross the board. but that will probably spark civil war----of which most all will regret. Be careful what you wish for.
Austerity? Well Let's start with your fed owned portfolio of bonds. You know, you can have your cake, or you can have cheese, or you can have your cheesecake!
There is no solution. They can borrow some time. Austerity is too little too late now.
They have to reboot the entire fiat currency system.
Aww, truth hurts I guess ;)
why do you have to splat rudeness onto your post? it makes it you look bitter
Be careful what you wish for.
Agreed, and I appreciate your comments. There was a book written a few years ago called American Apocolypse by a blogger that frequented Calculated Risk- another economic site like this but with a huge optimistic slant compared to ZH. The funny thing was is that the book-which CR helped advertise for free- as the title suggested, was as grim and earth shaking as anything you might pick up from Stephen King. But all based on a logical sudden economic collapse.
Yes, when the shit hits the fan it will not be as romantic as alot of people think, but to keep silient about the utter depravity, and hypocrisy beheld by the wealthy and government here in the US and Europe is a death unto itself.
I for one, will not be silent, I will not be stilled and I will not shut up until I feel my warm hands around at least one of their cold dead throats or die from a few official DHS hollow points trying.
I saw this posted in the other thread and it helped me relax for a few minutes. teenyb girls

We agree on that point. As Bob Dole used to say (pre-blue pills), 'the exits are clearly marked.'
