Mayor Bloomberg On Drones: "Oh It's Big Brother, Get Used To It"

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Michael Krieger of Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

While hosting his weekly radio show this past Friday, Your Royal Highness Mayor Michael Bloomberg explained to the serfs of NYC that privacy is dead and that you just "can't keep the tide" of the surveillance state from coming in.  His quotes perfectly demonstrate the attitude he takes toward his subjects and are quite revealing.  For instance:

“Everybody wants their privacy, but I don’t know how you’re going to maintain it.  It’s just we’re going into a different world, uncharted, and, like it or not, what people can do, what governments can do, is different.  And you can to some extent control, but you can’t keep the tides from coming in.”

“The argument against using automation, it’s this craziness– oh, it’s Big Brother. Get used to it.”

As if that isn’t bad enough, it also become 100% crystal clear that this guy wants to fill the skies of NYC with “freedom birds.”  He sees absolutely no problem with it at all.  In his own words:

“But what’s the difference whether the drone is up in the air or on the building? I mean intellectually I have trouble making a distinction. And you know you’re gonna have face recognition software.  People are working on that.”

“We’re going to have more visibility and less privacy. I don’t see how you stop that. And it’s not a question of whether I think it’s good or bad. I just don’t see how you could stop that because we’re going to have them.”

Here’s how you stop it.  It’s called The Constitution of the United States of America, a document I’m not convinced you have ever bothered to read.

This whole thing comes across as a gigantic Jedi mind trick to me.  ”It’s inevitable you will lose your freedoms.  Resistance is futile.  Just accept it.”  Sadly, unlike the proud citizens of Seattle, New Yorkers are still too traumatized from 9/11 to get off their knees.

Finally, we discover who and what Bloomberg is really trying to protect with all the cameras:

In Lower Manhattan, an initiative developed after 9/11 known as the “Ring of Steel” integrates the NYPD’s cameras with those of banks and other institutions.

So is dinner at your place or the Dimons’ tonight?

A few good articles covering this can be found here, here and here.

The problem is, they're not content to leave it at NYC. Look at that Bloomberg's interfering with politics in states far from NYC. He supports political candidates around the country with considerable sums of money. He tells other states how they ought to legislate and even sends his police to "investigate" gun shows in states hundreds of miles away. He won't be content to leave Big Brother solely in NYC either. Fuck New Yawkers for inflicting this asshole on the rest of us.

Welp, maybe AQ will get the whole city next time.

Bloomberg/Soros definitely are behind that stupid package of gun control laws in Colorado--but the backlash is going to be epic.  We're not finished as a nation yet, but there is good evidence that real fanatical fascism has taken hold in the northeast.  I pity the poor saps who will attempt to pacify the south and to a lesser extent, the midwest.  They will have their heads cut off and placed on poles facing back to NYC.

Sorry your faith in the people of the south and midwest is sadly misplaced.  Yes they may put up a fight about keeping their guns but these same people are often the first in line to put lock people for putting the wrong substances in their bodies, demand "your papers please" to anyone looking too swarthly or different. and cheerleading new police powers or toys in the name of "law and order".

Authoritarians are everywhere and hard core authoritarians unfortunately make up about 20-25% of the population NATIONWIDE.

The Jew sheds its veil now, feeling unstoppable behind its security grid, and with the wind of 50 million Mexican invaders in the sails. Saruman's orc army is nearly complete, and his palace is fortified.

Once the Jew has turned America into Mexico with pockets of Israel, we are all Palestinians.

The jew is concentrated in NYC, DC, and LA, so at least we know the areas that will be untouched in the next Mossad false flag attack when they escalate to radiation.

I concur. I have always been fascinated by the plight of the German and European Jews under Hitler. I just could not fully understand where the hate came from.

Now I get it. They worm their way into every money and power nook and cranny and then serve themselves and each other to the detriment of all others. Yes many a WASP and other are culpable as well, but when one looks at the tops and "choke" points of power and money they seems to be represented and active way beyond what one expect from there pop. percent. They're like some kind of puppet masters. Much of the history of antisemitism in Europe echos the same observation.

Don't believe me, look up who owns and controls the media, banks, Wall St., judgeships, etc.

Now the rub. I used to have a business that went to the homes of many Jews. Nice people, but they were all Zionists and prepping to "return." Sort of like if the rats could steer the ship onto the rocks for their benefit and then bail and leave the crew to their fate.

Just my observations, but then my observations proved pretty accurate on the "black" population of the US when they tried to ram "were all the same" down my throat. I went with "content of character" and found them wanting.

Just had to say it.

That's offensive to Napoleon.

Napoleon beheaded monarchs, liberated the serfs, and established a Civil Code in many European nations. True, he eventually became a tyrant in his own right.

What the F does Bloomberg have to his name? Banning sodas? Giving cops quotas for arresting people who have a joint on them? Kissing banker ass at every corner?

The way you stop this is by prosecuting and incarcerating the politicos who are in clear violation of the Constitution. We can start with Bloomberg and the NYPD's now-normalized daily violation of the Fourth Amendment through their warrantless searches.

By the way, on some level I love NYC and will probably be moving back there in the next year.

Nonetheless, that city is doomed when (not if, when) the QE bubble pops. They have no productive industry. Besides tourism, the entire economy is Fire, Insurance, and Real Estate with a big service sector built on the back of those core "industries". There are less than half a million people working in finance in NYC yet they collect about half of all wages/salaries in the city (total population of city = 8 million, of metro area = approx. 19 million).

When that QE bubble pops (and as the credit bubble keeps winding down, and as foreign investors are scared out of the banking system), the city will begin its inevitable slide back to 1977 complete with mass unemployment, rampant crime, and a cash-strapped municipality.

Remember that scene in The Dark Knight Rises where you see a doorman poke his head out of a luxury high-rise's lobby to see a crowd of hundreds of serfs marching towards him, with the intention of looting? Yeah ...

CFM, I hope NYC goes back to the way it was in 1977. I lived there in '77 and '78 and loved it. Yanks won the world series both years, both times over the sideshow Dodgers. There is no reasonable doubt that the previous Mayor, Rudi Giuliani, must have been one of the insiders that helped to cover up whatever really happened on 9/11/2001, and exploited that inside job, false flag attack, to start more genocidal wars, while preparing to impose democidal martial law. At best, Osama was a false front, drafted into that position for the false flag attack on 9/11. New Yorkers, and most Americans, are inside the conditions created by 9/11 being a very successful false flag attack, which accomplished what was really intended, by those who actually did it, or covered that up, while exploiting it to advance their real agenda.

Technologies which are trillions of times more powerful are primarily being developed to serve the social pryamid systems, by advancing even bigger lies, promoted by even more violence. The fundamental financial system is fraud, backed by force. The fascist police state serves that fascist plutocracy. Of course, for the foreseeable future, that is going to automatically get worse at an exponentially accelerating rate. It is quite symbolic of why American's rights and freedoms are disappearing that 9/11 was an inside job, false flag attack. Osama did not win. The fascist plutocracy, promoting its facist police state won, since they were behind enabling 9/11 to happen, and then promoting lies about what happened, in order to advance their real agenda.

The real goal of those who really did 9/11 was to make sure that they had the pretext to be able to legalize bigger lies, and back those up with even more legalized violence. 9/11 was a kind of investment in mass murder, which has paid back in the form of many more mass murders, and which is going to continue do so for the foreseeable future. Clearly, what the current Mayor of New York actually is promoting are the preparations for democidal martial law in the USA. The runaway fascist plutocracy juggernaut that the American government has become is going to probably turn most Americans into its road kill. The biggest terrorists are controlling the government, and they are able and willing to promote the already established fascist plutocracy with as much more of a fascist police state as that takes.

"Big Brother" is making more and more profit from being a psychotic mass murderer. There are no reasonable grounds to believe that is going to stop. Attempting to resist will probably get one murdered sooner. Not resisting only enables that system to become even more insane, and therefore, that madness will get one murdered later. The basic PROBLEM is technologies that are trillions of times more powerful are amplifying the same old human greed and stupidity to astronomical sizes. There is nothing new about warfare being based on deceits, or that wars and martial law got started by false flag attacks. Nothing is new about societies being controlled by dishonesty backed by violence. The ONLY thing that is new is that those phenomena are being amplified by technologies which are trillions of times more powerful, and more able to use information, in order to promote the same old stupid social stories, based on deliberate ignorance and fear.

Radical Marijuana - very thoughtful commentary.

IMO the place where your analysis falls apart is that 'the police state' is not some automaton being. "The state" is nothing more than a mental concept. It is made up of individual human beings. Individual corrupt/clueless politicians and judges allow and aid the destruction of the Constitution. Individual ignorant dumb jock cops and soldiers are the ones who perform the acts of physical violence that destroy Liberty. Individual ignorant journalists ignore reality and spread the lies in the media. Individual ignorant and overly comfortable citizens refuse to consider that what theyve been taught about 'their country' all their lives, has been a lie.

The 99.999% will only be enslaved if they enslave themselves.

How do you figure "trillions of times more powerful?"  What exactly does that bs even mean?  You act like the government has laser weapons and can levitate objects.  Neither of which are true. Saying things will get worse at an exponentially increasing rate is also just stupid hyperbole.  Get a grip.

While I have long considered the possibility that 9/11 was an inside job, I have also long realized that to suggest it makes you look like a giant kook who doesn't get out of his mother's basement often enough.

Bloomberg and his ilk are growing desperate, maybe it's just old age creeping up on them and they don't want to admit it so they pull this crap.  But I guarantee that whatever massive conspiracy you think is taking place really has a simpler explanation to it.  As you say, it's the same old greed and hatred that was always out there.

Dear aerojet, some of what I say is still slightly science fiction, although those kinds of science fictions are turning into facts faster and faster.

Regarding your question, How do you figure "trillions of times more powerful?" ... I used to say "billions of times," because atomic bombs were billions of times more powerful than any chemical energy driven weapons. However, when one adds the potential of biological weapons to the picture, the combined powers of those weapons get orders of magnitude bigger still!

With respect to computers' capacities, it seems plainly obvious to me that computers today are trillions of times greater than they were not very long ago, and indeed, those kinds of abilities did not exist, other than as human clerical work, not long ago. Furthermore, the exponential increase in computing power is continuing, since Moore's law shows no sign of stopping within the foreseeable future. With respect to the ability of computers to operate "Big Brother" spy networks, we are easily looking at those becoming quardillions of times greater than anything in the past.

There is nothing theoretically in the way of computers becoming smarter than human beings, and indeed, smarter than all human beings combined, within the 21st Century. We are not that far away from old computers designing new computers, and programs being selected through their own artificial methods. The problems that presents are that what happens if that kind of Big Brother is programmed to be psychotic, which is what the insane systems based on bogus "national security" are actually doing?

My opinions regarding 9/11 are based on spending thousands of hours to attempt to sift through the available information ...

Blood

Radical Marijuana's picture

Even almost bottomless buckets of blood may not be enough for flesh and blood human beings to pay enough to regain their freedoms in a world run by electronic frauds, backed up by atomic bombs.

Sorry, but no old-fashioned kind of "revolutions," or some kind of obsolete "stand against tryanny" is even remotely close to the order of magnitude of the problems created by a social pryamid system being pumped up trillions of times by technology.

The only remotely possible series of political miracles that I can hope for is that we MIGHT retool the fascist plutocracy to do what needs to be done better. There is NO way to make things like electronics and atomic power disappear. We barely have any chance of riding those waves through, without getting wiped out. Thinking that one could stop those is guaranteed to fail, and result in one being wiped out by those tsunamis of technology.

It is remotely possible that the capacities of the fascist police state could be redirected to end up doing better things, instead of far worse ones. It is not possible that the fascist police state could be arrested, since there is no force greater than it which could arrest that. The basic problem these days is that human blood is no longer all that powerful or significant. That is an obsolete and old-fashioned way of thinking about the world. The days when "bloody" was a powerful curse or swear word are long gone. Those were the days before the American and French revolutions, etc.. We can not go back there, and those days are now quite irrelevant.

We are talking about automated cameras, being monitored by automated feature recognition computer programs, which could send out robotic police. That apparently can not be stopped from manifesting, in one way or another. We MIGHT be able to redirect it to manifest in some better ways?

Radical Marijuana's picture

Dear aeroject, I agree that I am not important enough for anybody to be targeting me specifically.

However, I live in a world that is obviously preparing to commit insane suicide. There are thousands of atomic bombs, ready to go at a moment's notice, after turning a couple of keys, and pressing a button. Those back up global systems of financial frauds, based on fiat money, that have created quadrillions of units of funny money, which is primarily used to gamble with.

The combined effects of human stupidity and greed, amplified by technology, has already destroyed almost 90% of the oceans' ecology, and that is automatically still getting worse, faster. Meanwhile, the manifestation of a more and more psychotic "national security" is allowing covert things like weather modification to be happening, etc..

One of the primary things happening is the runaway corruption of politics is allowing environmental pollution to accumulate, while the medical system has become primarily a "profit from disease system."

Therefore, although I am not important enough to be specifically targeted, I am one of the billions of people who are generally the targets of the overall population reduction, soft kill, strategies that the ruling classes are allowing to happen, and were probably planning on being implemented.

As I said in my previous reply to you above, some of what I worry about may still only be science fiction. However, everything in the worst science fiction nightmare stories ARE what is happening the real world, faster and faster!

What a nice, intelligent response.

A wise man once said "Best not to argue with idiots; they only drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience".

You sound like someone who trusts very few people, or are, at the very least very full of themselves, and arrogant. How unfortunate for you.

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church....a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes.”

Charles R. Swindoll

Hope things get better for you pal.
