Most Expensive Places In The World For A Cheap Date
As part of its semi-annual update on "mapping the world's prices", Deutsche Bank has released the following index which we believe may be of interest to some of our more cash-strapped readers. Using a price parity calculation, DB has created the "cheap date" index which consists of i) a standard bouquet of roses, ii) cab rides, iii) pizza, iv) a soft drink, v) two movies tickets and vi) a couple of beers. What the "hit rate" of said basket of products in achieving the desired goal is unclear, but what is clear is that while the disparity between the most expensive (Sydney, Australia) and least expensive (Mumbai, India) place for a cheap date is vast at over 250%, and even a cheap date in Mumbai will set one back some $88.30 (and rising... the price that is).
As an appendix, those lucky enough to have the above "cheap date" cocktail prove successful, will be curious to know the relative price in USD of a pack of Marlboro cigarettes across the world. Most expensive place to buy smokes is once again down under, while one can't beat the Philippines price for a cheap back of 'Boros.

Been on them for 2 weeks now Devine, seriously loving it. I was a hardcore smoker, and i defy anyone to try vaping and not WANT to keep doing it; i think this will be the death of the tobacco industry unless they start selling branded e-liquid.
Get them to vape with electronic cigarettes; i personally thought it was horse shit, but after doing it for 2 weeks, all i can say is that after 3 years of failed attempts to give up smoking(and 18 years on cigarettes) i have cracked it - i am now smoke free for life, certified. It beats smoking hands down and its also going snowball as an industry.
Been vaping for 3+ years, with one or two relapses when the ecig broke down and I was away from backup. Other than that, I now loathe smoking, and would never want to smoke again. Healthwise, I feel much better, and it's easier on the wallet. Mixing my own eliquids is at least 5 times cheaper than regular cigs.

Have you ever smoked a Chinese cigarette? The last time I smoked their "regular" filtered local brands it would have made a roof shingle/Lucky Strike seem about as innocuous as a lite menthol. But after the experience I certainly wasn't bothered by whatever was in the normal air around me.
The price of a pack of smokes is exactly the same in Auckland NZ as Wellington NZ.
