A damning development, since I have never heard of a bomb threat being called in during a major public event before, or the police rehearsing their plan for that improbable contingency.

Adams may just be an idiot. Bomb squads will contain and blow up unknown packages they may suspect as bombs. This is the preferred method to physically defusing the bomb as it puts fewer lives in danger (particularly those on the bomb squad).

Not to sound insensitive about this AWFUL TRAGEDY, and what looks like a clear act of Domestic Terrorism, but... given what we've seen from our 'leadership', I would not be the least bit surprised if it'll be linked to some "unstable, gun-toting individuals". It's inevitable. Don't you remember the FBI stated they found one of the hijackers passports in the rubble of the WTC towers. Fragments of humans found on roof tops of buildings years later, firemen stating that that largest piece of anything they found was a one square inch of a phone, and the planes hit the towers in a massive ball of flame and explosion. Yet through all that one of the hijackers passports made it out of the plane, through the fireball, through the tremendous demolition of the the towers to land on the sidewalk and be found! Amazing. A few weeks later they guy whose passport it was reports "Hey I'm alive" -- this guy was alive somewhere (I don't remember) Yemen maybe -- he was a taxi driver or something. But the FBI never took him or the other hijackers that came up alive off the list. So does THIS passport somehow amaze you? Really. Just nervously chuckle along with the rest of us and wonder what could possible be next.

The only thing I am not amazed about is that there where no "crazy patriot" snipers with semi-automatic AR-15 Assault weapons (cue up dramatic music) targeting runners. But John Kerry did go on TV today to state that Japanese students where afraid to come to the US to go to school because of "all the gun violence". In case you missed that one. Nervous Chuckle.
