FBI Interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev In Early 2011: Suspects' Mother Claims FBI Set Up
Yesterday we reported that the initial, and largely expected, response by the father of the Boston bombing suspects, Anzor Tsarnaev, was that they had been set up by US secret services. As RT reported further, in an interview with Russian television the brothers’ father Anzor Tsarnaev also claimed that they are innocent and somebody might have set them up. "I’m sure about my children, in their purity. I don’t know what happened and who did this. God knows and he will punish them,” he told Zvezda channel. “Somebody might have set them up. I don’t know who and because of their cowardice killed the boy."
The father said he was unable to contact his sons or other relatives. “Everything is switched off. I can’t reach my brother there either. I can’t reach anyone! I just want information. Now I fear for my boy, that they will now shoot him dead and then will say 'He had a gun'.”
“I fear for my son, for his life. They should arrest him, bring him, but alive. Justice should investigate who is right and who is wrong,” he said.
Mr Tsarnaev recently spoke to his elder son, Tamerlan [Suspect #1], telling him that he should take care of his younger brother. Speaking of the Boston marathon bombing he told his son “Ok, Thanks to Allah you were not close to there and did not suffer.”
“I remember I even asked “Who could do something like that?”
“We just talked. I asked him about our Dzhokhar [Suspect #2], how was he. I told him, he should help him out and keep an eye on him, so that he studies well. I told him ‘You left school, got married too early, but the kid should finish [his education]’. Because this is life – those who don’t study work a lot and work hard. That’s why I was telling them study”.

As said up front: largely an expected reaction of shock and initial denial that one's children ended up behaving in a less than anticipated fashion. So it was not unexpected that the mother also decided to go the conspiracy route, and allege the boys conduct was "set up" and that the FBI had been following them for years.

Zubeidat Tsarnaeva maintains her younger son is innocent and like so many of the brothers’ acquaintances, claims they were good, courteous kids and model students – especially the younger 19-year-old Dzhokhar. A US citizen who is presently in the Russian Republic of Dagestan, she revealed to RT some suspicions of her own.
Grief-stricken at the latest developments in the case, Zubeidat expressed her dismay at the allegations, recounting Dzhokhar’s life in the US and talking of his status among his peers and friends: he was an honors student, loved by many of his friends and teachers. And his older brother Tamerlan was a star athlete and student, whose ambition was to one day appear on the US Olympic wrestling team.
But her biggest suspicion surrounding the case was the constant FBI surveillance she said her family was subjected to over the years. She is surprised that having been so stringent with the entire family, the FBI had no idea the sons were supposedly planning a terrorist act.
“They used to come [to our] home, they used to talk to me…they were telling me that he [the older, 26-y/o Tamerlan] was really an extremist leader and that they were afraid of him. They told me whatever information he is getting, he gets from these extremist sites… they were controlling him, they were controlling his every step…and now they say that this is a terrorist act! Never ever is this true, my sons are innocent!”
When asked if maybe she didn’t know about some of her sons’ more secret aspirations and dark secrets, she said “That’s impossible. My sons would never keep a secret.”
Finally, she said that if she could speak to her youngest – Dzhokhar, she would tell him, “Save your life and tell the truth, that you haven’t done anything, that this is a set up!”

But then we learn that the FBI did indeed interview Tamerlan nearly two years ago. From AP:
A foreign government told the FBI in early 2011 about information that Tamerlan Tsarnaev (tsahr-NEYE'-ehv), one of the brothers suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings, was a follower of radical Islam.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev died in a shootout, and his younger brother was captured alive. They were identified by authorities and relatives as ethnic Chechens from southern Russia who had been in the U.S. for about a decade.
According to FBI, the foreign government said that based on its information, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was a strong believer and that he had changed drastically since 2010 as he prepared to leave the U.S. for travel to the country's region to join unspecified underground groups.
The FBI says it interviewed Tsarnaev and relatives, and did not find any domestic or foreign terrorism activity.
It did? Because suddenly questions emerge:
- What did the FBI inquiry involve?
- What unspecified "underground groups"?
- Have the same "underground groups" recruited more young people from Boston or neighboring cities?
- Who made the decision to absolve Tamerlan of any suspicion?
- Which "foreign government" demanded that the US FBI get involved in the life of a then 24 year old boy and under what pretext?
- Also, and unrelated, why were both parents abroad?
Dead men tell not tales, and Tamerlan is now permanently muted, so it is the FBI's word, as secret as it may, be against that of a dead man.
As for his brother: one wonders how quickly will he recuperate, or will his serious (or critical as was reported by Bloomberg) condition in hosptial suddenly deteriorate to a condition of just as terminal silence, thus tying up all the loose ends?

Update: From the AP, we learn that the according to the official narrative, the Russian KGB successor, the FSB, was the entity that advised the FBI that Tamerlan was a "radical Islam follower."
The Russian FSB intelligence security service told the FBI in early 2011 about information that Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the brothers suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings, was a follower of radical Islam, two law enforcement officials said Saturday.
According to an FBI news release issued Friday night, a foreign government said that based on its information, Tsarnaev was a strong believer and that he had changed drastically since 2010 as he prepared to leave the U.S. for travel to the Russian region to join unspecified underground groups.
The FBI did not name the foreign government, but the two law enforcement officials identified the FSB as the provider of the information to one of the FBI’s field offices and also to FBI headquarters in Washington. The two officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record about the matter.
One by one all the dominoes fall into place.

Hard to say which is worse - authorities knew nothing about this guy or were aware of him - because if the latter is the case.........
The FBI intereviewed him and had him under surveillance. Makes sense if the US was warned about him by a foreign government. But then how did this happen? Was the FBI hierarchy incompetent - true to form as in the 'Arabs enrolled in flight schools not caring about landing' warnings or was the FBI VERY aware of what was going on and through INACTION, allowed a real event to take place? and if so, why?
They've sure enough stage managed previous 'terrorist attacks' that went nowehere - to the exetent of providing fake explosives and detailed plans.......
If the FBI WAS monitoring these guys then there are really only a limited number of conclusions possible:
1) that monitoring was incompetent - despite the warnings had been received about this person - and they somehow managed to get materials to build and explode bombS
2) the monitoring was as intense and ongoing as would be expected expected for such a person (and given the huge $ spent on 'homeland security' and threat detedtion) - yet for some reason this plot was NOT stopped before bombs were exploded.
3) The mentoring and support went according to plan.
Could it be instead of a conspiracy..The powers that be are just incompetent ?

This particular incident shows all the signs of the lack of cooperation/coordination that one would expect from a complicated conspiracy. As far as silence this has bee one of the loudest incidents I've ever seen. Bomb drills announced and denied, strange looking operatives lurking around and pointed out from day one, delays in providing photos to the public. All we need is a lapse in security that allows a 'grieving relative' to finish off the surviving brother in the hospital and it would be like something out of a bad novel.
Raise your hand if you think that CNN would air the confession of the (hypothetical) FBI handler that set this up. Not without official authorization, get real.

One of my questions is why weren't they running Monday? Dzhokhar went to classes on Tuesday and a party Wednesday night according to witness accounts broadcast yesterday. How could a person in this day and age believe they would not be spotted, recorded, and found?
Because they didn't do it, that's why. It's another setup. It's another attack against Americans by our government. That's why.

The more one learns about politics, the worse it gets!
The more one studies history, the more painfully obvious it becomes that human history was primarily a conspiracy of dishonesty, backed by violence, during which process those who were the best at deceits have prevailed.
Although the details are never easy to figure out, and we may never be sure, the bigger picture becomes way too clear the more one looks at it!
A typical irony is that the phrase "conspiracy theory" itself can be proven to have a history of being developed to be used in the mass media that was another layer of government conspiracy itself. It was after the President Kennedy assassination that the phrase "conspiracy theory" was directed to be used by the mass media, as ordered by government operatives, to respond to the social situation that emerged after that assassination.
I find that all these "conspiracy theories" DO tend to overlaps and appear to be connected at the top of the social pyramid systems, like many other people who look at these things have discovered.
Speculating about "conspiracy theories" may well be better seen to be an attempt to do an agenda analysis of those people towards the top of the social pyramid systems.

I don't know if they were double agents but the background story on the associations on the groups most certainly can be confirmed or debunked. Even if the double agent part is true my spidey sense says that only the older brother (the dead one was the actual agent) and he recruited his younger doe eyed little brother after the fact. Little brother looking up to and wanting to emulate his big brother, it is a human story as old as time itself.

The big questions buzzing over Boston Bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have a single answer: It emerged in the 102 tense hours between the twin Boston Marathon bombings Monday, April 15 – which left three dead, 180 injured and a police officer killed at MIT - and Dzohkhar’s capture Friday, April 19 in Watertown.
The conclusion reached by debkafile’s counterterrorism and intelligence sources is that the brothers were double agents, hired by US and Saudi intelligence to penetrate the Wahhabi jihadist networks which, helped by Saudi financial institutions, had spread across the restive Russian Caucasian.
Instead, the two former Chechens betrayed their mission and went secretly over to the radical Islamist networks.
By this tortuous path, the brothers earned the dubious distinction of being the first terrorist operatives to import al Qaeda terror to the United States through a winding route outside the Middle East – the Caucasus.
This broad region encompasses the autonomous or semi-autonomous Muslim republics of Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya, North Ossetia and Karachyevo-Cherkesiya, most of which the West has never heard of.
Moscow however keeps these republics on a tight military and intelligence leash, constantly putting down violent resistance by the Wahhabist cells, which draw support from certain Saudi sources and funds from the Riyadh government for building Wahhabist mosques and schools to disseminate the state religion of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudis feared that their convoluted involvement in the Caucasus would come embarrassingly to light when a Saudi student was questioned about his involvement in the bombng attacks while in a Boston hospital with badly burned hands.
They were concerned to enough to send Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saudi al-Faisal to Washington Wednesday, April 17, in the middle of the Boston Marathon bombing crisis, for a private conversation with President Barack Obama and his national security adviser Tom Donilon on how to handle the Saudi angle of the bombing attack.
That day too, official Saudi domestic media launched an extraordinary three-day campaign. National and religious figures stood up and maintained that authentic Saudi Wahhabism does not espouse any form of terrorism or suicide jihadism and the national Saudi religion had nothing to do with the violence in Boston. “No matter what the nationality and religious of the perpetrators, they are terrorists and deviants who represent no one but themselves.”
Prince Saud was on a mission to clear the 30,000 Saudi students in America of suspicion of engaging in terrorism for their country or religion, a taint which still lingers twelve years after 9/11. He was concerned that exposure of the Tsarnaev brothers’ connections with Wahhabist groups in the Caucasus would revive the stigma.
The Tsarnaevs' recruitment by US intelligence as penetration agents against terrorist networks in southern Russia explains some otherwise baffling features of the event:
1. An elite American college in Cambridge admitted younger brother Dzhokhar and granted him a $2,500 scholarship, without subjecting him to the exceptionally stiff standard conditions of admission. This may be explained by his older brother Tamerlan demanding this privilege for his kid brother in part payment for recruitment.
2. When in 2011, a “foreign government” (Russian intelligence) asked the FBI to screen Tamerlan for suspected ties to Caucasian Wahhabist cells during a period in which they had begun pledging allegiance to al Qaeda, the agency, it was officially revealed, found nothing incriminating against him and let him go after a short interview.
He was not placed under surveillance. Neither was there any attempt to hide the fact that he paid a long visit to Russia last year and on his return began promoting radical Islam on social media.
Yet even after the Boston marathon bombings, when law enforcement agencies, heavily reinforced by federal and state personnel, desperately hunted the perpetrators, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was never mentioned as a possible suspect
3. Friday, four days after the twin explosions at the marathon finishing line, the FBI released footage of Suspect No. 1 in a black hat and Suspect No. 2 in a white hat walking briskly away from the crime scene, and appealed to the public to help the authorities identify the pair.
We now know this was a charade. The authorities knew exactly who they were. Suddenly, during the police pursuit of their getaway car from the MIT campus on Friday, they were fully identified. The brother who was killed in the chase was named Tamerlan, aged 26, and the one who escaped, only to be hunted down Saturday night hiding in a boat, was 19-year old Dzhokhar.
Our intelligence sources say that we may never know more than we do today about the Boston terrorist outrage which shook America – and most strikingly, Washington - this week. We may not have the full story of when and how the Chechen brothers were recruited by US intelligence as penetration agents – any more than we have got to the bottom of tales of other American double agents who turned coat and bit their recruiters.
My personal take if this kid was recruited for foreign intelligence, it wasn't the FBI doing the recruiting. FBI only does domestic operations not foreign. I suspect this is a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is up to and the FBI accidently stumbled upon it and were told to back off. Foreign doesn't operate on domestic soil either so that would explain why Craft was at the event, foreign by law may not be allowed to operate in domestic matters but can subcontract out to a contractor that does as long as there is no actual involvement in whatever they were there to do at the marathon. Agent or not people knew something was going down that much is pretty much the common theme in all this.
Take it for what it is worth but that naked kid the other day may have been Tamerlan and they were trying to get him out of there so he couldn't be questioned. It wouldn't be the first time an agents death was staged to keep them from talking. I bet he winds up NDAA'd to cover it up if it is true.

All I can say JR is that you are on the right trail! The US Neo-Conservative movement was up to it's lips in support for Chechen terrorism and their battle for an independent Muslim Chechnya. What's sad are people who will see stuff like this and just say "crazy conspiracy theorists" when it is FACT the FBI has a history of taking part in plots that happened or were stopped which they admit to. More accurately, it is FACT that the FBI sets up plans to basically entrap people (usually people with low level of intelligence who can be easily persuaded and may want to be part of a cause) just so they can say they stopped the act from happening and it makes it look like they are fighting this suppsoed war on terror which really doesn't really exist because how can it when the very people foiling these plans are the ones designing the plans? Then you throw in the FACT that the FBI took part in the 93 WTC bombing (evidence recorded on tape and they admit to it) and it doesn't take much to question every single supposed terrorist act that happens, especially where alleged Muslims occur.
If there was never any of this FACT then sure, it'd be a reach to just assume the FBI may be involved but given the history it is logical for one to question they had a hand in an incident, especially when there is questionable evidence/information like with this case.

When this happened Monday I first thought false flag. I then started to think it was legit given they didn't have their suspect(s) named withing 3.2 seconds like usual. Now from all the events Thursday night on with more info coming out it makes me think these guys were set up by the FBI though I think these guys were involved and dropped those bombs so it wasn't a full on false flag. I think the fact the bombs did such minimal damage helps support that as the bombs were more for the emotional impact and show than actual carnage. The patsy was given an identical backpack containing what he thought was a fake pressure cooker bomb and told to place it somewhere as part of the drill. He must have been the most surprised person there when it actually went off. This is exactly the way the 7/7 bombing worked, where the young Muslims were asked to participate in a “drill” that went live with real bombs. It’s similar also to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. It is a standard FBI technnique.

It's a sad day in America when you can't unequivocally rule out the possibility that agents of our own Government could be guilty of perpetrating such atrocities upon the American people. Call those skeptical of the official narrative "conspiracy theorists" if you will, but the fact remains that the general public is only as informed as the State and State sponsored media allows. There are many instances throughout history of nefarious Government operations to mislead the public in the advancement of a greater (and often more nefarious) agenda. It does not require the explicit cooperation of everyone involved as most of them are well intentioned individuals striving to keep America safe. My only objection to their actions is they are loyal to the State and not the Liberty of the individual; which helps to maintain the blindness to the possibility that the State may very well be the instigator of the madness in question to begin with. I fear for the future of this once great and free land..........
You can be sure that intelligence agencies around the world have been conducting their own due diligence on this whole episode and consulting their own contacts on the non-credible US Gov utterances. So there will be additional international impact beyond view, and possible adjustments in international relationships, despite the public not being able to see this.
If the conspiracy would be true then that would explain the contractors walking around with a geigerteller. It is one thing that people detonate bombs but it is another thing if they decided to make a dirty bomb out of it.
Or perhaps contractors walking around with geigertellers at events has become the new normal.

So killing someone one mile away from the original crime scene, and three days after they supposedly planted those bombs. These must be the stupidest terrorists to have ever set foot on God's green Earth, because anyone who had planted those bombs would have left the city within the day and kept a low profile. Next they shoot a police officer five hours after a bounty has been placed on their heads!

OK - I just had to go back to the FBI video of the 2 suspects walking thru the crowd.
I suggest you explain to me just how there is a pressure cooker in the second suspects backpack. Has anyone here ever even seen a pressure cooker?
