Some of that is Monday morning quarterbacking. Supposed the plot was carried out by more professional types who actually had a getaway plan and had planted bombs around the city? Or even just pre-placed weapons and equipment at a safe house. It could have been that the first bombing was an opening act to something worse, like a dirty bomb. All this was going through the minds of the FBI and others. None of that is outside the realm of possibility if they had had the assistance of a foreign government. That attack shows that the US is woefully unprepared for any real attack and that the statists are wrong--they can't keep America safe with just cops, feds, and military. It is going to require a civil defense approach where all citizens are empowered to help out. It would be similar to what the Swiss have.

As noted on some of the early Daily Mail pics, you see the perp stepping out of the boat with the shredded cover behind him. DM originally said it was a security camera showing him getting IN the boat. DM is wrong as often as right but their pics clearly showed him able to begin climbing out of the boat after the flash-bang shredded it. Now he's in 'critical' condition in the hospital while some of the victims of the bombing had limbs(some multiple) ripped completely off and most are recovering as well as can be expected in the same hospital. And while they did have a medical tent and personnel on hand at the Marathon, you'll note from the pics of the perp after he was detained, he's receiving medical attention immediately and was hauled off in an ambulance shortly afterwards.

How the fuck weren't these brothers captured in that last shoot-out with the police? I mean there must have at least one police helicopter following the police vehicles and yet Dzhokhar Tsarnaev managed to escape that shootout, travel less than a kilometer and then hide in a boat.
This is the biggest clusterfuck ever, hell Dzhokhar was only found AFTER the lock-down was lifted and a resident checked his boat, after seeing blood marks on his garden path, and then found Dzhokhar and then called the police.
So they lift the stay-indoors order after supposedly checking every house in Watertown yet they failed to pick up the obvious clues of flecks of blood on a pavement.
The imcompetence is staggering! But really it was just an excuse to test out martial law, and the residents of Watertown just accepted it! Sheeple indeed.
first off the 'big search'wasnt to find the bomber. it was theater and training for the sheep. second the suspect had to be a tough sob, he is shot, probably multiple times and then abandones a car and outruns the cops and helicopters for a mile. the average fat ass american couldnt do that. he then hides all day in a boat probably because he wasnt able to move at that point.
Find the scanner recording on line to check my take. But what I remember from the live feed, BPD on the scene of the shoot out was irate about two things in particular. They setup a perimeter as an afterthought, no one was initially focussed on it. Also, the way they stopped and the way the squad cars parked that were arriving later left them with very little room to maneuver.
They were also commanded to pair up when setting up the perimeter. And quite a few minutes later, they realized that one street in particular had very little coverage on it. They then scrambled to plug this gap.
Piss poor cordination of the take down, piss poor setup of the perimeter, failure to review what had transpired and realize they should be searching a bigger grid all made it easy for a run of the mill fugitive to bust through and escape.
No one even thought to try to shoot and disable the suspects vehicle. They did mention the long guns as they were reffered to were in fact deployed nearly imediately.
This is not me armchairing, this is my recollection of the criticism that BPD broadcast over the air. It was no surprise to hear that he haf escaped their perimeter. If it wasn't for the 'anal' step dad worrying about his boat, we probably would still be wondering where this fuktard was.Just I

1. FBI interviews Suspect #1 about two years ago yet they don't know who he is and they have to release photos to get help identifying him? Surely the FBI isn't this fucking incompetant, right?
