Inside Ground Zero: Photos From The Suspects' Apartment

Tyler Durden's picture

Yesterday, we pieced together a photographic narrative of the very public events from Boston in the past week. Today, courtesy of NY Daily News, we get a first glimpse into ground zero: inside the suspect's home, an apartment located on the third floor at 410 Norfolk St. in Cambridge. From the source: "photos snapped by the Daily News show the unit in a Cambridge, Mass., building in disarray with clothes piled everywhere and a half-eaten meal left on the table." In other words, typical bachelor squalor, but that's about it. Most notably: not a trace of any explosive, incendiary or other bomb-preparing equipment or residue, no evidence of terrorist activity, and no weapons. So where did the two put together the numerous bombs they are said to have prepared?

More:

Their Apartment 3 sits behind a makeshift plywood door, up a rickety bannister and stairs, in a nondescript building tucked on a quiet residential block in Cambridge.

Though much of the apartment was in disarray, the remnants of the brothers’ uneaten final meal remained undisturbed — with two chairs alongside their dinner table.

The apartment bore indications of the brothers’ athleticism — a set of skis, snow boots, boxing gloves, a basketball and assorted sneakers.

A bookcase with some cheap pottery stood near the dinner table, while a Crock-Pot — eerily reminiscent of the pressure cookers used in the homemade marathon bombs — was visible nearby.

A non-descript building where Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev lived.

The exterior of the Tsarnaevs home in Cambridge, Mass.

The brothers did not return home after robbing a convenience store on Thursday night.

Sporting equipment and clothing was found throughout the apartment.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev was married and had a child, but no signs were found in the apartment indicating that they lived there with him.

Athletic gear, including boxing gloves, skis, numerous sneakers and a basketball, was found inside the Tsarnaev brothers’ Cambridge apartment. Nothing overtly menacing was found. The door of their unit was made of makeshift plywood.

Other miscellaneous items were found inside the apartment, such as an old stereo, a gas can and a can of motor oil.

I disagree.  ZH puts up information that leads to debate, and they generally provide the information that conflicts with the mainstream view right along with the mainstream view.  So people can think for themselves (imagine that).  The Tylers don't know the truth of this situation any more than any of us.

The text does mention that one of the brothers was married.

The brothers seem to be living together in masculine squalor, while the wife and child live elsewhere but visit often enough to leave the occasional article with the husband for convenient use, kind of like how college boys' girlfriends tend to cache a bottle of their favorite shampoo and a change of clothes at their boyfriends' bachelor sties.  There's probably a depressing explanation behind why the family wasn't living together, one that will turn out to be very sad for the wife.

Agreed. If I were in, say, Germany, and something happened, I'd have to assume they might look at me, the foreigner, a little bit more than almost any other citizen of Germany. It's only right to do so. The last people, to be hassled, without question, are the citizens of Germany who have never displayed any terrorist act, nor anyone in their family, paying their German taxes, the citizens virtually carrying the country on their backs.

They should, in fact, have all of their rights, including those stolen through the years, protected and even reinstated, especially the ones from the last decade including The Patriot Act, NDAA, ,,,,

Saudis, Chechnian muslim mafia too.  Boston has TONS of Saudi money and Saudi influence.

FBI?  Whitey Bulger was on the Ten Most wanted list of the FBI for 12 years in Boston because they FBI was protecting him.   The Boston police, MA state police and another agency stopped giving intel to the FBI in Boston because Bulger was being protected.

He eventually was arrested 20 years late in Santa Monica when an Icelandic women on vacation remembered him from America's Most Wanted.  He had been hiding out in so Cal for at least a decade.  He wanted to kill radio host Howie Carr because Howie kept saying on the radio that the Boston cops were protecting Bulger.

This is how the FBI and cops roll in Boston where LOTS of Saudi money talks.

Your profile says 50 weeks and 2 days.

Not that you're necessarily lying.

The hoopla gets old, but I like the reporting ZH has provided and linked to. It's a bit different than what the MSM is offering: genuflection at the feet of the police state.

Another consideration: they have done financials throughout the badaboom coverage... It's the weekend, and very often we get two or three offerings during the weekend.

Not to mention the click worthiness. Hate if you will, but blog hosts gotta eat too.

Final thought.... You are not forced to click, read or comment.

Why should anyone even believe there was a Boston Marathon if they didn't see it live - if they only saw it on T.V.?

Why should you believe anything at all other than the few limited things you can experience first hand.  Oh, wait ...  Research shows us that our senses can fool us badly at times, so we often cannot even believe them (how do I know this is really me hurting when I pinch myself, and not somebody else that is actually hurting?).  I guess the truth is that only we exist, and nothing else.  Cause we can't believe what anybody tells us about stuff we haven't experience first hand.  Pretty dismal life, that.

We are looking in the wrong places for the source of domestic terrorism.  Our universities and the radical liberal professors they hire are the source of the problem.  They preach nothing but hatred for the US and it's economic system.  This hatred filters all the way down to our local school systems.  Nothing will change until that is fixed.

I am a university professor. One of my topics I lecture on is how the government has been bought by banking and corporate interests. I show them charts about contributions to prove this. I also show them BLS charts and contrast them with shadow stats charts. I show them the Baltic Dry Index and lecture on the history of fiat currencies. I lecture on the housing bubble, subprime lending, on the relationship between the Treasury and the Fed, and more. By the time they are done listening to what I have to say, almost all of them have, at minimum, some deep doubts about the wholesomeness of their government.

Am I a radical liberal?

Am I a domestic terrorist?

I agree that there is a bubble. I question what I am doing, daily. I worry that I am part of a Ponzi scam and that I am not helping them prepare for jobs or a better future. I tell my students that they may be getting ripped off, that they may regret their education if they are in debt and can't get a job. I let them know that student loan debt has surpassed credit card debt, nationally.

I show them inflation rates for housing, medical, and education. These rates far surpass other rates (fuel, food, etc). I ask, what do these all have in common? Government subsidy, I answer. They are shocked, typically no one has ever explained things in this way before. I even go into moral hazard (a term none of them have heard).

I am okay with you being skeptical, I don't like it, but you should be.

My students are quite aware that I see the democrats and republicans as both benefiting from the same interests, thus they represent the same interests. I don't debate politics with my colleagues. One of them is very much on the exact same page as I am. The others are lost in a liberal fantasy (I used to be too, thought it was compassionate, I was wrong).

I go to a lot of trouble to explore many different theorists' takes on the nature of capitalism. They get it that what we have is a simulacra of capitalism, that capitalism is not permitted to just be, without intervention.

We need thousands more like you, MsCreant. Young kids are inherently distrustful of authority, and it seems most educators take it upon themselves to drive that distrust out of them instead of nurturing it. Smart people don't shut their minds and believe everything they're told by the folks who run the system; that's what future slaves do.

Also, you should totally record your lectures while standing in front of a Gadsden flag and holding an AR-15, and then post them to Youtube.

Strictly speaking, you're right about causation. Nevertheless, when one smells shit, sees shit, has shit slung in their general direction, one can presume there is some shit slinging occurring. (A shit storm)

Upon seeing another with a handful of shit,... delivering unto him, a punch to the face, or a nice pile driver to the face, is not entirely out of line.

Toss into your lectures how Oxford U. Press, acting as agents for Rabbis, brain washed and took over "Protestantism" with the early 20th C publishing of convicted criminal previously unpublished Yankee Scofield (Scofield Reference Bible) and I might give you an up vote.

Scofield is first ever Bible with liner notes in which they convince stupid gullible goyim (bastard animal-human mongrels) that God promised Abraham LAND (Israel) rather than a spiritual savior (Messiah).

If you think Rabbinicalization of all western culture is not the goal, you are wrong.  From the Talmud: "Even the best of the gentiles deserve only death."  The Rabbis don't even deny this verse!

The above Bible is still published today with well over 1000 Oxford edits after Scofield's death, yet they still credit Scofield as if he was the author of all the notes and edits.

Scofield was a convicted fraud who abandoned his wife and children in the USA.  Pre Scofield it was specific Oxford policy to:

  1. Not publish Yankees.
  2. Publish only authors who were already published before.

Oxford broke the above rules to publish Scofield.  Why?

The last "church" I visited, the "pastor" (word not found in the NT, I'll take your $1000 bet on this) told us to shake hands and send off a man present wearing camoflauge going off to kill people for God and country.  Every single bulletin in this shite hole states in print: "I will bless those who bless thee..." which these Satan lovers translate as:

If you do not support Israel you go straight to hell and don't pass go and don not collect $200.

... "pastor" (word not found in the NT ...
What astounding insight.  Why, I'd bet you could expand your bet to say that not even one English or French word can be found in the NT.  Talk about expounding on the obvious. Middle English pastour, from Anglo-French, from Latin pastor herdsman, from pascere to feed — more at food  First Known Use: 14th century http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/pastor
All riffing on the theme of shepherd - the caretaker and leader of the flock.  A theme dominant in the Bible.  Forget words; think concepts.  Concepts exist in more than one language.  If the Bible were a book about words rather than about concepts we would be screwed, since none of the original words are known to exist anymore.  But the concepts still exist.  In many languages.

Bet on or off?

Simple rule to collect your winnings: List chapter and vs.  All else is BS.  I agree with your understanding.  There is no word/concept in the NT consistent with modern intrepetation/usage of "pastor."

Another liar or stupid person like you (a pastor in fact) fed me the same lie that the NT word "shephard" translates to "pastor."  One problem with your lie.  I looked at every single NT occurence of the word shephard and none correctly translate to the modern word "pastor."  The one shephard of the flock is Christ, not a putrid human parasite/maggot like you or any mortal "pastor."

I don't care if you define it as concept or word.  There is no concept for a modern "pastor."

Keep following your pastor who leads you to hell in a hand basket.

One phrase/concept that occurs 58x in the NT is that believers are to minister "one to another."  Pastors disbelieve this concept because they disbelieve they themselves require edification, submitting, and exhorting.  No pastor will teach on the 58 "one to another" occurences in the NT.

"Sermon" is another word-concept unknown in the NT.  Sermon is "oratory" invented by Greek pagans in the 2nd CAD.  Greeks would practice their oratory skills after dinner.  Yet this pagan word-concept is foundation of Western churchianity.

Are you a pastor offended by these Scriptural truths?
