"The Battlefield Is The United States Of America"

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Simon Black of Sovereign Man blog,

When you’ve got a guy like Senator John McCain who says “The battlefield is the United States of America,” it tells you that almost nothing is safe in the Land of the Free.

Whatever remains of civil liberties is going to feel the full brunt of the state’s boot heel.

They’re already regulating some of the most fundamental aspects of life, from how we are allowed to educate our children to what we can / cannot put in our bodies to the very nature of money.

People are forced to hold their savings in insolvent banks backed by insolvent insurance funds backed by insolvent governments. And those insolvent governments have demonstrated that they are perfectly willing to directly confiscate accounts.

Retirement funds have proven to be an easy, tempting target. A number of countries including Argentina, Ireland, and Hungary have appropriated private pensions. Even the US government temporarily dipped into federal employee pensions.

Western governments are making every possible effort to take over the Internet. Despite every previous attempt (SOPA, PIPA, etc.) failing due to public outcry, they keep trying and trying (ACTA, CISPA, etc.).

They’re raising taxes, creating new ones (including Maryland’s new ‘rain tax’), imposing capital controls, racking up debt, and rapidly devaluing their currencies.

It all reeks of desperation… and it’s all so obvious. At least, for anyone paying attention.

Unfortunately it’s easy to lose sight of the truth. After all, how can there be any economic problems when the stock market is at an ‘all-time high’ and Nobel Prize winning pseudo-scientists tell us that debt levels don’t matter?

Truth is, these enormous challenges shouldn’t be ignored. The entire global financial system is sitting on a bed of dynamite. Central bankers are dousing the pile with gasoline while politicians are standing around smoking.

The potential for epic disaster cannot be understated.

This is not to say that the world is coming to an end. Far from it. History is quite generous with past example of once-great civilizations that collapsed under the weight of their own hubristic debt.

Things didn’t end. They changed. Simple. And that’s what’s happening now in a textbook fashion.

Governments in trouble almost ALWAYS resort to the same destructive tactics. When things are clearly on the decline, rather than INCREASING freedom and opportunity, they try to control EVERYTHING.

We’re already seeing the early stages of this with competitive devaluation, basic capital controls, and bank withdrawal limits.

These will soon give way to wider capital controls, increased border controls, wage and price controls, asset confiscation, and more.

It only delays the inevitable. The more they control, the more rapid the deterioration becomes. Again, this isn’t some sensationalist prediction; it is the very common historical trend.

The other thing that history shows us, however, is that there are always a handful of people who see the writing on the wall and take action. And that action has almost universally involved looking abroad and diversifying internationally.

This is a time-tested strategy that was once available only to the wealthy landed class. But with modern air transport, digital communication, and global competition, solutions are now available to just about anyone.

I’ll be honest with you– moving one’s assets, business, and even family overseas isn’t easy. These are complicated topics with numerous tax, financial, and professional implications. So go carefully and rationally.

But when structured properly, history shows that a well-informed offshore strategy can have a generational impact should chaos ensue.

And, should nothing ever go wrong in the world, you won’t be worse off for it.

But what about Battlefield Earth?

remember the Liberty senator McCain.  the truth is getting out.

TPTB must have McCain and Reid on tape in pedofile acts, both are so incredibly corrupt and lack any decency.  Whenever you hear either one talk or defend something, they come across abnornal, like they have no choice.  Watch them carefully, very unusual.

"The potential for epic disaster cannot be understated."

I'm glad someone else caught that.

What's wrong, mommy out shopping and left you alone in the basement?

Dyhana's picture

My feelings exactly. I was horrified by what was going down. Thanks for posting that, gives me an odd glimmer of hope that we are not the only ones "awake."

TeamDepends's picture

Not sure if this is true or not, but years ago we saw a picture of a monument in Vietnam dedicated to McCain.  That's right, Charlie aka "the enemy", felt McCain's inside info was so valuable that they made a shrine to commemorate him!  Funny thing is, they spelled his name wrong-McCann!

BigJim's picture

According to a quick google search, it just commemorates his being shot down.

However, here's a slightly more in-depth article about one of McCain's rescuers on that day...

it's the Daily Mail, though, so cave emptor.

Within the Various States of Detroitifiaction everything is rehearsed, it comes from years of MIC control. All new modified patterns of behavior are first practiced for study, then analyzed for iterative effect and possible alternate solutions and variables.

You are being studied for containment.

It jokingly started with Robocop, a dystopian vision of law enforcement in the future. The MIC liked the idea as it helped increase market share in adjacent channels. Fuckers!

Misfire Mclame single handedly almost burned the aircraft carrier Forrestal down to the waterline when he shot off a missle out of his plane while on deck. Personally I think he was shot down by his own wingman just to get him the fuck away from his other aviators. He is a walking gimped up douchbag who no doubt sung like a bird, ratted out his own men while captive and willingly provided a warm sphincter to the camp commander during his stay at the Hanoi Hilton.

Freddie's picture

People have no idea how bad the fire on the USS Forrestal was.   I swear this guy is was a Manchurian candidate before he got to Hanoi.  Name any f**k who caused that much damage to a ship besides that Italian sea captain for Carnival/Costa.  McShame killed more people.

aerojet's picture

Is it really known that McCain caused that fire or is that another wild Internet rumor?  I don't see how someone, even the son of an admiral, could ever live down causing such a calamity and be able to rise in politics.  Then again, when someone is bad at programming, they are often made into a manager.

Kirk2NCC1701's picture

You are VERY close to the truth. And now you know how TPTB are squeezing his nuts, anytime they want him to shake a paw or roll over.

booboo, Mccain and kerry both senators, both traitors, both married multiple times to rich women..sociopaths who ruined lives around them and moved on. now destroying the USA. as a viet nam vet, fragging would be too good for either.

Let me be the first to wish a hearty "Fuck you, McCain" to America's latest traitorous cunt of a dirtbag senator.

ChanceIs's picture

Sorry.  I had to go negative there on you.  Although I agree with the sentiment, I can't see why you use the word, "cunt."  That is an ugly word.  It has no place here.  What do you have against women?

I was very incensed by Margaret Thatcher being characterized as a "cunt."  Call her a unfeeling dictator if you like.  She had no choice whether she came up "XX" or "XY."

PS:  I am a 56 year old guy.  I (hope I)  am not a sexist.  I chose my avatar for special reasons.  She is cute, yes?

HardAssets's picture

Time for American men to drop the political correctness crap theyve been indoctrinated with since the 60s.

Its not that a dislike of ineffective profanity is a problem, IMO - - - but that some people feel the need to chastise others about it like someones prissy aunt.

Grab a beer or two and some snack food and rent the movie Fight Club, it may help.

P.S. - if you havent seen the movie an incentive to see it is that the character Tyler Durden and this websites tagline comes from it.

ronaldawg's picture

ChanceIS - can't see your avatar chief.   Could be a chick with a dick.

HardAssets's picture

Personally, I love that part of a beautiful woman's anatomy, no matter what you call it !

ChanceIs's picture

Excellent!!!!  Unbelievable catch!!!!!

Now who is it?

"Vat costuuuume does da poor girl vear,

to all tomorooooows partizzzzes?"

Hint #2:  That photo is certainly 40 and could be 50 years old.

Bananamerican's picture

that's Nico, but let the man be pissed at McSame in the way he feels most appropriate...it's the American way.

ChanceIs's picture

Congratulations.  That is the right answer.  She was a stunning  model long before she hooked up with Andy Warhol.

Can't understand why my query generated so many negatives?

BTW:  Let there be no coubt, I am disgusted with McCain.

Bearwagon's picture

There has been doubt about that, and that's where the downarrows mostly originate. Additionally, you should not be embarassed by someone using a word like "cunt", for this is ... uhm ... I promised not to talk about it, let's just say: Mind the rules ....

Edelweiss's picture

Big +1 HA for pointing out a fundamental change in the character of the country.  The past 50yrs or so have seen the increased feminization of men, and the rise of the victim culture.  The women in my family (and coworkers) frequently attempt to "correct" comments I make that they deem insensitive (too honest), or a challenge to them.  I think it's better to be seen as disagreeable man, than a marginalized wimp.

spdrdr's picture

Hear! Hear!

Just an example - my wife refers to me all the time (we've been married 25 years now...) as "you useless prick!".

I have been trained by society at large not to call her "you useless cunt!".  Plus, she is likely to bitch-slap me, and pour my valuable liquors down the drain.  I think that I may well be a marginalised wimp.  Cunt of a thing, really...

OpenThePodBayDoorHAL's picture

reminds me of the politician who was being reamed for calling a woman "a vagina". His defense was "it's OK to call someone a body part, after all she does have one"

What a dick

Jack Burton's picture

ChanceIs, If you use the word "cunt" in the UK it can be used for both men and women. In the UK cunt is just another world for asshole, prick, jerk, fuckhead, etc, etc. You get it. Cunt is a generic swear word in British slang. It is not a special slur for women. That would be the word "slag" for women. "Tosser" for men.

Just don't think America is the whole world, you don't set the standard for word usage in the UK!  Men call other men cunts all the time. It means "Fucking jerkoff asshole" or something like it.

ChanceIs's picture

Thanks.  Glad you celared that up.

Still....a "cunt" by any other name is a beautiful thing.  What a shame.

Blano's picture

This is fight club Chance.  Or are you gay??

It's done for shock effect.  Deal.

.. Battlefield.. OK..  you do not have to be a military expert  to see who the aggressors are nowadays.

It's a battlefield if make it one, and near every description and picture of "Law Enforcement"  screams military action.

jumbo maverick's picture

Megan McCain got three down votes and satan got one or so it appears.

Telemakhos's picture

Pithy, but as others have pointed out, less eloquent than effective. I mean effective, because McCain's point could be the opening of a brilliant and righteous speech in the hands of the right Senator to oppose him on this. It's like McCain is handing Rand Paul the perfect opening to continue what he started with his filibuster.

McCain's words, more fully, from The Hill:

“These tragic events bring home again that this fight is far from over,” McCain said on the Senate floor Tuesday. “The battlefield is the United States of America, and anyone who doesn’t believe that is ignoring the recent events that we will hopefully overcome.”

Where is Paul, anyway? Paul got momentum and gravity out of that filibuster; he'd be heard if he would vigorous deny that the US is a battlefield and assert that overreacting to Boston only jeopardizes liberty and the American way of life. It would be a bold step to make that kind of speech in the Senate, especially given the way fear brings conformism to the Hill, but it's the kind of boldness that would resonate and cause a very real reaction against that fear. It's the kind of moment—the kairos—that real orators (not teleprompt readers) are born to seize. Too bad Paul's gotten sucked into trying to defend his liquor-store comments; he could make a brilliant stand here.

Seer's picture

McCain is (as Freddie correctly notes below) a piece of shit.

He's a fucking warmongering motherfucker who needs to shut the fuck up. ANY excuse to lash out at others he's on.  He is the poster-child for why we need to stop creating these wars.

From Paul Craig Roberts (http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2013/04/21/if-you-want-to-go-to-heaven-y...):

On April 11 the establishment French newspaper, Le Monde, reported that the al-Nosra organization affiliated with al-Qaeda is the dominant force in “the Syrian opposition,” not democratic revolutionaries. Despite this fact, Washington’s puppets, France and Britain, are pushing the European Union to send arms to the al-Qaeda affiliated “Syrian opposition.” And Senator John McCain wants US airstrikes on Syrian government forces with whom the US is not at war, in order to provide air cover for al-Qaeda’s takeover of Syria.

I'm not leaving.  A century and a half ago, the federals came into our country, burned our homes and took our livestock and shot us up.  We survived that and we will survive this.

Jack Burton's picture

Cloud9.5, I am sorry for that little invasion. My 16 year old great grandfather was part of the invading army. Not sure why he joined up, his father had just arrived from Ireland. I expect the young kid needed work, and killing Johny Reb came with a paycheck.

Cloud9.5's picture

Interesting, some of my folks came over on a similar boat.  Irish killing Irish is nothing new.
