Weaponized America: Sturm, Ruger Backlog Doubles; Gun Production, Shipments Surge
Whether it is due to the recent governmental attempt to enforce assorted gun controlling measures in the aftermath of the Newtown, CT shooting, or, merely driven by the same catalyst that saw a surge in gun sales four years ago, namely the presidential election, one thing is certain: America is weaponizing itself at an unheard of pace, with both Sturm, Ruger shipments and units produced surpassing 500,000 each in one quarter for the first time in history.
Shipments:
Units Produced:
Shipped and Produced - over 1 million in one quarter for the first time ever:
* * *
But the biggest shock is the backlog of guns on order (orders which RGR could not satisfy in the current quarter).
At over 2 million for the first time in history, a 40% increase from the prior quarter, and nearly a 100% from a year ago, when it comes to getting guns, American just like Cypriots in need of cash, have just one option: get in line.
If we didn't know better, we would say that either RGR has somehow become a $0.99 app for the latest and greatest cool, faddy cell phone, whatever that may be, or, alternatively, America is preparing for war.

It'll make us leaner and meaner. Think of it as the country going on a diet and working out. Clearing some dead wood.
Darwin's law of natural selection.
Nail their EBT cards to their heads....
WOW!
Let's have some moar schadenfreude...that ought to keep the party going ;-)
Ideally, yes.
Now tell us just where you you'll be sitting back and watchin??
I could tell you where I plan to watch it, but then I'd have to kill you.
Here's a hint: I'm either in the safest place in the world, or the most dangerous.
Fuck the globalists. The citizens of the United States of America are going to go straight for the banking families if they try to pull any shit.
Love your enthusiasm, but that aint gonna happen right away. Concentrate on the PTB POLICIA FORCIA that adhere to the .gov's edits first..then go after the goons in the .gov. The banking families will be far, far away by then, but we might get our country back.
The citizens of the United States of America are going to go straight for the banking families if they try to pull any shit.
Sadly - how many millions in Europe and the former USSR died plus the USA Civil War with 1.1 million dead because there was good money to be made by European bankster familes. In all those wars - they lived in luxury while pulling the strings. Hopefully someday.......
AR-15s and the Taurus Judge. Ye gods! I wonder when Ruger will add some kind of .410 revolver to their lineup? I still can't believe some suits at S&W were so jeaous of that Taurus POS that they had to build the Governor in a simple attempt at poaching a few sales. I guess utility and actual capability be damned.
The problem is that the .410 is ballistically equivalent to a 45 LC, which doesn't require a 2.5 inch long cylinder. I swear, you judge owners think you sho0t it down a hallway and it spreads 16 inches.
1" per YARD out of a shotgun.
Hickok45 on Youtube has a video shooting various loads from the Judge. It's an interesting--albeit limited capability--weapon to have. For me it's just one of a dozen to choose from in my arsenal. Too bad I'm suffering early alzheimers and misplaced all my stuff.
Under 10 yards, #4 or #6 .410 would put a nice hole in someone's chest. I chamber(ed) mine in #4, .45 LC, 2x Winchester HD loads and another .45 LC. I remember reading most LE stats show most shots are under 10 yds.
And if they still close, that's what the Swamp Rat Ratmandu is for. Or Hapkido in a pinch.
If you can't find a Ruger in stock I recommend the FN Herstal (FNH) FN9.
Comes with three 17 round magazines (9mm), a nice case, and is a fine firearm.
Double action only striker fired but with a smooth light trigger pull, ambidextrous slide/magazine release.
I recently received mine after I passed Big Brother's background check - i'm impressed - and it is available and under $600.
FN Herstal worked with John Browning to produce the BAR and the Hi-Power Auto pistol.
http://www.fnhusa.com/l/products/commercial/handguns/fns-series/fns-9/
Anything made by FN is probably superior to anything made by Ruger!
+1 EB FN make some darn fine firearms.
Tyranny by Executive order....New Second Amendment executive orders
http://redflagnews.com/headlines/tyranny-by-executive-order-by-constitut...
"Unfortunately, that is the real story, but it is generally being overlooked. The fact is that with a few strokes of his pen Obama set up the mechanisms he will personally use to not only destroy the Second Amendment to the Constitution, but also the First, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments. It will not matter what Congress does, Obama can and will act on his own, using these Executive actions, and will be violating both the Constitution and his oath of office when he does it."
BACK DOOR BARRY....FUCKING NUTJOB
It's honestly sad when the best performing of all of my investments over the past decade has been guns and ammo. Even out performing gold and silver.
On the bright side, at least Americans still have a hearty appetite to protect their families and most importantly their liberty by arming themselves.
Seems the sheep are awakening, my daughters teacher(also friend of the wife) mentioned her husband bought his first gun. She whisperer it like she did not want to say the word lol. I don't think they know whats wrong but they feel it.
Societies are like economies, once in a while all the unproductive deadwood has to be cleared out.
Recovery soon follows.
After the burial of all the "deadwood."
Casualties will be massive.
Economies are a direct visible expression of an societyy. Hasn't anyone on here read Mises?
The biggest backlog is AMMO.
All that fire power and nowhere to dance!
Another civil war won't be two sided. It will be east-west, north-south, mid west-south west, some northern tier states will seceed from the union and join Canada, while some bigger states like Texas will form their own republics.
All swimming in a sea of guns and fire power, with all fighting each other and ganging up on the Feds when they attempt to maintain control of any specific area. Yahoo! The wild, wild west, all over again!

Ammo notes from last weekend's gun show
Ammunition and component buyers seem to fall in two categories, those seeking one or two hundred rounds and those seeking multiple thousands of rounds. The second category is overwhelming dominated by active duty soldiers and veterans. There was one mother and three wives of deployed soldiers who came in with lists and went away with components necessary to load tens of thousands of rounds. Two soldiers came in and bought much more. I know of only three civilians who have stocked up in the quantities that many soldiers and veterans have found necessary. I think having been in a fire fight concentrates the mind on the horror of running out of ammo.
Fact is, the biggest buyers of ammo are VETERANS. They know what's coming. They know when you go to war, YOU USE A SHITLOAD OF BULLETS. Let's say you have 10 000 rounds. You're probably in the top 1% of people with most ammo in the country. Guess what. When soldiers go on patrol in Afghanistan, they bring each 600-700 rounds. And that's assuming that all your ``team`` got their own ammo stacks and you don't have to share. 10 000 rounds could supply what... 15-20 people for ONE night?? Thing is, more looters will be back the night after... and what ya gonna do then? Each states should have ammo factories supplying people of their state... if gun control statists states don't want to do it... fuck em... they'll be the ones in trouble when it hits the fan...
Texas and other like-minded states should open ammo factories already... would create jobs... and help folks.
This whole war thing with the government just does not make a lot of sense to me. First off if it happened I don't think there would be a great way to defend yourself against a drone strike. But I think the easier answer is the gubbamint lets all of us get locked and loaded and then pulls the ebt card and food stamp plug. Then they sit back and let us sort it out ourselves.
Fourth generation warfare dude. Drones are worthless against that.
That is probably true. The second scenario just seems more plausable. But that's just my 2 cents.
im guessing with 400 million registered guns the government might as well just carpet bomb the population.....drones would be of no value................your second scenario is quite plausible.....which leads us back to the scenario facing us now.........little gun and ammo availability.......................nobody wants to be the guy whose family isnt protected........................
+1 fonz.
(got that King novel finally. Starting on it this week).
Centerline it's a good read in a literal sense but it's the metaphors that still blow me away. Touch base when you are done.
Kito I had lunch with one of my best friends last week. We were at a Diner and he was talking about guns and I threw out scenario number two to him. He was half entertaining it when a waitress standing behind me says "That is exactly what is going to happen". She then goes on to talk about how her husband has been preparing for exactly that and has many of his neighbors on board. Both of us were kind of floored.
Interesting.....I can't imagine anybody in my neighborhood prepping.....too busy making sure their lawns are weed free.....
I got to learn reloading ASAP before it is too late. It has to easier than trying to kill crab grass.
Sadly a boating accident.........but I still have my weed killer.
Well, scenario two is all fine and good but them sitting back isn't really gonna help them, there are some who will be hunting them too I would suspect.
Suppose say, a Praetorian Guardsman (or several, or a regiment for that matter) finds out his family has been butchered with no protection given or offered by "them" as condition of service.
As long as we're engaging in purely hypotheticals here, quis custodiet ipsos custodes? ;-)
Veritas lux mia.
The whole Boston police state thing was sickening but I saw a bit of a silver lining. No way they can maintain that sh*t for more than 48 hours. The overtime, donuts, worrying about their unguarded loved ones at home, cities going up in smoke. Good luck with that.
This is just to give you perspective on...
A lunatic, thanks for the link, I will bookmark and go back later and read all of it.
I thought The Ministry uf Fatherland Sekurity held that honor-of buying the most weapons and ammo...
Keep in mind, you only need enough ammo to take theirs.
The largest, most well-regulated Army in the world is the U.S. Veteran community.
+100
If you know a ammo company looking for a factory in a friendly red state - let me know. Does ZH allow PM (private message?) Cheap rent, pro gun state and the state helps in training.
Do active duty buy ammo for overseas? I know they buy mags because Uncle Allah OB msut not provide enough - assuming they are allowed to fire back.
+1.
Myself, and ALL vets I personally know, have stockpiled. I mean Stockpiled!
Too bad, though, all mine was lost in a flooding accident.
Me too. Boat accident. I still have a 5 shot cowboy .22 wheel gun and about 30 rounds. I cry about the boat accident but I have a gun free zone yard sign. So I got that working for me.
I know some folks in a very red state. The guy said he, his friends plus everyone he knows have more sh*t that Janet has been buying for the past 3 years.
"America is preparing for war"
No, America is preparing for prohibition.
Which will lead to war. Fourth generation warfare, bitchez!
The sad thing about a civil or revolutionary war is that the govt has some very impressive weapons. Seeing the Talibans try to hide from the AH-64 with FLIR is like a blind mice hiding from a snake.
Last I heard, the 'Taliban' were still in the field, killing their enemies.
Killing people in a foreign land is a lot easier when your loved ones are 5,000 miles away. Killing Americans might be tricker unless those AH-64s are on aircraft carriers along with their familes.
Last time they did north versus south. The evil ones will try something like that again but may have less luck.
Some people (not me, of course) are making ponchos with space blankets sandwiched between layers and honing tactics to help evade FLIR. Just sayin...
Yeah, and SR is only one of...a bunch and it would not surprise me if these numbers are not the top. Wild ass guess that Glock numbers might be larger.
I can't see how would it be possible to apply a weapons ban law, it's impossible.
All this had done, is to rush people into buying more guns, hence ......MORE GDP.
Democrats and Obama simply want more gun GDP, something tells me.
Won't stop gun control shills on MSNBC, CNN and at the Daily Show from claiming that the only way to go is Australia's way (which banned everything and forced people to turn their guns in).
If it's true about Australia:
1) Australia is not on the border with Mexico
2) Wait until the commodities price collapse and see how crime flourishes in Australia.
However, the most important is number 1. There are thousands of criminals crossing the border by walk. They can't do that into Australia. If they could, Australia would immediatly arm the citizens.
Not to mention... when China finally goes all Mao on their asses, they'll be defenseless.
Don't discount the Aussies, they are not as gullible and weak as Americans think.
More than 80% of the firearms were never actually registered or turned in, and the government never said one word about it.
Crime is already flourishing in Australia.
ekm: People need to spend their money. If they leave it in a bank account some government will come along and steal it... for the children, of course. The people might as well buy guns and bullets. Even better if they can buy them on Visa or MC.
I'd post a sarc tag but I forgot which part of my post was sarc, if any.
I think you guys have not fallen far enough down the rabbit hole.
Fonz: I fell about a dozen years ago. My head still hurts.
Another great QTR by RGR. SWHC should have a monster QTR as well. The only things selling well are guns, ammo, booze and lotto scratch off tickets. The masses are slowly starting to figure out that you better have lots of self protection before true, significant austerity comes crashing down on America. Got guns???
For close in work, I'll keep the short barreled(18.5") .12g pumpgun I'm holding in my avatar. I bought plenty of ammo for it before all this crazy buying began. I have a variety of loads from bird shot to buckshot and slugs. I also have a 26" barrel for hunting. I have a very accurate scoped bolt action 30'06. I've had it for over 50 years. I know what it will do... and it'll reach out farther than any AR-15 or AK-47...if I need that capability.
And yeah, I'm a veteran :)
You know what'd be fucking hillarious?
If after leaving office, Obama were to be appointed to the boards of those gun companies.
So far as I can see, he's their best friend.
Socialists sher iz smart.
Well ya know, the administration and fed have wanted retail sales to recover. Guns and ammo is retail sales.
In truth we saw it all before, at least here in the south, at the beginning of clintons second term. The militia movement was in full swing up until Oklahoma city bombing and the good ole boys were arming up in a big way. I think the hedge funds that bought up the firearms companies recognized the potential for a 2nd phase in that movement and have positioned themselves for the o-bama backlash most appropriately.
The ammo shortage caught me by surprise. Cant say I saw that coming.
Ammo shortage? Time to practice the art of pistol whipping
Ammo shortage? What ammo shortage? When y'all were buying Facebook and Apple I was buying .22LR and 7.62.
Lead, bitchez!
The next new cottage industry (aka underground economy) re-loading.
Are there shortages of brass, bullets, primers, and powder? (Haven't done any reloading for a few years, so I don't know).
Yes, there are shortage of reloading components. Most places are backordered for weeks or months, but at least they are taking backorders.
How about a cross bow? Silent...deadly....quick....anybody recommend a model ...I know zero about them.
Silent? Check. Deadly? Maybe. Quick? What do you mean "quick"? A 30-06 or .308 is quicker and deadlier. Your range on a crossbow is going to be significantly less than with a rifle. Properly equipped and properly trained, 500 yards should be a kill-shot with a rifle. Crossbows aren't worth a damn beyond 50 yards.
Maybe you should stop watching so many Rambo movies and actually go get trained.
... ADRIAN!!!... ADRIAN!!!... What?... Oh, I see... Never mind then... Wrong Rambo movie...
Any 150 pound pull compound crossbow should do fine. The cheap ones are fine. Mine is 6 years old, mistreated horribly and working fine. However, keep in mind that cross bow bolts carry **a lot** more energy than an arrow. If you shoot one into something you may not be able to get the bolt back out. They will also blow through an arrow backstop so you probably can't use them at your local archery range. Full bails of hay tend to work for a little while.
You might find it interesting to know that crossbow bolts make short work of kevlar. Though they are stopped by ceramic.
every American should create a video of themselves addressing the US military complex, because without their assistance, in light of the DHS and local LE apparent cooperation, I do not think there is a chance of avoiding a conflict of biblical proportions when them come for the buns ....

Professional agitators are what the people on internet are being deemed as apparently. This is a critical situation and it's time everyone realize this. It may be FUBAR.
ruger, etc. can be shut down in heartbeat. need underground machine tool shops to churn out auto-weapons/ammo when the "crunch" comes.
And 3D Printers!
Yawn. Got G+A fatigue.
Got the Force Field on as needed, and Tasers on stun. Wake me up when the rioting and real shooting starts.
it's simple cause-and-effect: the more they say I can't have guns, the more I want them.
Just the phyz.
Au, Ag and Pb
fixed blade two blade broadhead will go right through a bullet proof vest unless you have ceramic plates. Step inside my fence in my lovely Chicago suburb and you are in the danger zone and no one will hear a thing. Don't pick on the crossbow. Other amenities include 12ga pump short barrel, P89 9mm , MarkII 22LR. And last and certainly not least for those at the end of the block the Thompson Omega with a 4x7 scope good to 125 could push that out to 150 in an emergency. Aim small miss small. I believe in an urban environment it is just as important to know your neighbors and have a plan. In a real SHTF scenario it will be the windy city in my rear view mirror ASAP. Wife is a better pistol shot than me
Chicago? I understand your desire to hold as much as you can and may the Rahm Rods never find your stash.
Problem is you're not safe if the proverbial SHTF. Suburban Chicago, could there be a worse place? So your Naperville neighbors are going to have your back? You may want to rethink your plan, there isn't enough fire power to save you bro.
What would 1st quarter GDP look like if there wasn't record demand for guns and ammo?
FYI: WTF is anyone going to do with a fucking handgun? If you don't have a long rifle, preferably one that can pump lead downrange accurately and in high numbers, then you might as well just buy a fucking crossbow.
Go to the range and try and hit a target with your handgun past 30 yards. If you get 50% of your rounds inside of 6" you're the fucking love-child of Rambo and Chuck Norris. Guess what? The people that you're going to be shooting at are either going to be in greater numbers or have greater firepower; or both.
Go get an AR, a 12-gauge, a .45 (fuck the 1911's; get a Glock or Springfield), and a bolt-action rifle.
You need at least 2,000 rounds for the AR, 500 for the shotgun, 500 for the .45, and 300+ for the rifle. You should have 5-10 magazines for the AR and the .45; each.
That is a minimum load.
A handgun is for fighting your way back to your rifle, which you shouldn't have left behind in the first place.
Edit: I was close.
A-fucking-men.
But if all you have is a handgun, then you're going to have to fight your way to MY rifle. In which case your handgun will be my handgun.
"WTF is anyone going to do with a fucking handgun?"
I'm going to walk up to you with a smile and offer to shake your hand because you are my hero...then shoot you in the face and take your fucking rifle. Thanks!
Obviously you and many other wannabe rambo cupcakes don't understand that the most likely range of any actual combat you may see will be within 10 yards or so. Don't fight the last war, if you want to live.
Why do you think I'll let you walk up to me? You'll be a first rounder; just sayin'.
You can thank the gun-hating sissy Kommies for the surge of gun orders.
Or maybe the gov't buying it up like the bullets to create a shortage...
Even if that were the case, the government doesn't even need to buy it all up to create a shortage... the ammo production is way too low.
During 1943, the US was producing 20 billion rounds a year. In 1944, only 6.5 billion.
Today, the US produces about 10-14 billion a year... (and import some more)... and it's still not enough.
If all the troops came back and the US government stopped selling ammo to foreign countries... prices might go down.
I think Communists in the Pentagon or at Colt produced the AR15 to put American soldiers at a disadvantage .... if you can make a reliable, simple, indestructible, inexpensive to manufacture weapon like the AK47 .... chances are you also know how to make a "bad weapon" ? AR15 all techno-sizzle .... no steak !
In other words .... it takes skill .... to make a bad weapon .... on purpose .... and push it off as a good weapon .... the same kind of skill it took to make the AK47 ! What say, Ralph Spoilsport ? Monedian logic at work for the private good ! I like the 7.62 x 39 mm .... it's a real bullet .... cheaper .... and it works in M14 and SKS .... no .... it's the NATO round ? In Nam .... our company assigned sharpshooter had an M14 .... tricked out somewhat .... thicker barrel and a scope .... but an M14 .... none the less !
A lot of guys with more combat experience than me like the AR-15 now that they are civilians. I've fired them but never liked them that much. Were they (M-16) deliberately designed to be defective? I'll have to ponder that. There's so many add ons and improvements available for the AR-15 it's probably a moot point by now. People have gotten them to work to their satisfaction.
The SKS varies widely in quality like the different versions of AK-47. There's some real junk out there. The 7.62 x 39 round has its good points but it's more expensive to shoot compared to .223 so I don't have the experience with it. The M-14 fires 7.62 x 51 mm NATO, not 7.62 x 39. I'd love to have an M-1 or an M-14.
One thing to remember is that the M-16 and the .223 cartridge were designed as a system to inflict as much damage as possible on the enemy if you can hit them. Troops can also carry more .223 rounds at a time. The trajectory and tumble are clearly defined as is the range it's designed for. I have friends who shoot AR-15s at 600 yards even though the trajectory is more like firing a mortar at that range. The M-14 and the M-16 aren't the same and shouldn't be directly compared IMO.
I once talked to a guy at a gun show. He said the Aussies in LBJ's (gulf of tonkin lie & ditto LBJ's USS Liberty) Vietnam war - the VC and NVA stayed away from the Aussies because they had FAL's with 7.62x51mm.
http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Battle_of_Long_Tan,_The
Thanks Ralph and Freddie ! I think I meant FAL then ! It's an old trick .... I'd make a replica .... of the AK47 .... with a slightly larger round .... so it could fire the Commie ammo .... but the Commies couldn't fire ours ? The procurement people at the Pentagon and Colt are in denial .... it jams .... you can't rely on it .... and they haven't fixed it .... need a shorter round, more taper, more simple positive ejection, mechanical activating rod from the piston back .... it is un fixable .... they need to start from scratch .... it's the cover up of the century .... a man on the moon .... garbage guns for our troops .... let them bring there own AK47s .... treat ém like professionals .... not like grunts !
Endless numbers of soldiers on the ground wanted them to keep the M-14 or at least have some in their squad. In Afghanistan (another chickenshit drug war to keep the drugs flowing) - .223 in canyons in not enough. They did an upgrade of the old M-14.
The Brits are using a newer American rifle from Lewis and Machine Tool out of that hell hole Illinois. The rifle is supposedly the bomb. Comes in .308. Note on teh web site the common sign on most gun web sites - Out of Stock

Any body know about a shelter-in-place command for valley springs, CA. It just came up over the tweeter so I figured I'd ask and verify.
When did They invent this "shelter in place" bullshit?
Cuz that's what it is, Bullshit.
Fuck 'em all!
NAZIs!
The unfortunate thing is that the US government does not care how many enemy combatants and innocents they murder as long as they stay in power and propagate the lie. Thus was obvious in all wars and most recently in Iraq, Afghanistan and the other middle east countries. They murder and think is it "worth it" ... think Madeleine Albright, the psycho-murderer herself. No price is to large for her power. Obumdumb is no different... Just a psycho-murderer who should be locked away where he cannot hurt people.
My belief is that the US government like people getting armed because that gives them an excuse to murder the people ... and any innocents that get in the way.
So now that everyone is armed and ready,
take all the excitement and energy and redirect it towards lawful, peaceful, creative, vigorous pressure on what is still the most powerful governing body in the history of civilization.
Otherwise, everyone's just sorta sittin' around and waitin' for somethin' to happen.
Lawful? What the fuck is "lawful"? The law has long since been perverted; I know not the meaning of the word.
Try unplugging your TV and Hollywood then get back to me. If you watch TV then you support ALL of it and no Fox News is no better. They control the public through the media and your viewership keeps them in control.
I canceled my Dish and CNN .... I'm depending on youse guys for my news now .... don't let the Monedas down !
I love this thread.
I recently bought 2 Henry action Lever Frontier rifles for my daughters (.22LR). The lever guns are fun and teach ammo conservation. Aim small, miss small I tell them. My older daughter loves my CZ 452 bolt with scope and my younger one likes the lever guns and Iron sights.
The bottom line is this. You don't need an AR or AK to defend yourself and feed yourself in an emergency. Old school Lever and Bolt action rifles are excellent choices, they also use common ammo like .22, .357 & .38.
A Henry Big Boy or Marlin 1894C (both in .357/.38) rifle and .357 revolver are better in my opinion as you can stock up on one common lightweight cartridge. And it will puch a hole in anyones ass in the right hands.
The .357 is my favorite as it can also fire .38 Special, in an emergency you need options. Your AR won't help you much if you can't get a hold of .223.
An AR is as American as Apple Pie and Baseball. Things to remember is this, ALOT of America's foes have met their demise at the business end of am AR. It's proven design in combat has only one peer, and that is the Kalishnikov. The choice between a lever gun and a AR isn't much of a choice. In regards to ammo conservation through fire discipline? With an AR I can match you ROUND FOR ROUND. But you with the lever gun can not match me with an AR.
The old saying about bringing a "knife to a gun fight"
Changes to this:
"Don't bring a lever gun to a AR fight"
I agree with you. I am not putting an AR against a lever. It's a key part of your defense.
Having a mix of rifles in your KIT makes you better prepared. Having the ability to use other ammo that you may acquire is a huge advantage.
Everyone should have 1 .22 rifle at a minimum in Addition to your AR.
or a .22 LR bolt assembly and mag conversion kit for the AR.
I used to shoot practical pistol with a Dan Wesson .357 and loaded my own .38 specials for practice. There's something about a good wheel gun. Even with speed loaders, the advantages of higher capacity auto mags make more sense than a revolver nowadays. i was considering getting a rifle chambered in .357 but I started shooting Glocks and never looked back. Can't say I miss the recoil from the .357 either. I'd still like a lever action rifle though. I watched too many westerns growing up I guess.
Ralph, try the Glock 20,you will like. While the scramble for 9mm,.40,.45 happens, the 10 is their for stacking.Plus you get pistol/rifle capabilities.Flat shooting hard hitting.I hit human size targets at 100 yrds up to 150 in a pinch. In case a pistol can't get you to your rifle.
Oh the weapons industry is lovin' it. Keep arming, help a corporate bro'.
TBTF and their paid whores might also be To Big To Miss for that many "tax paying units" taking delivery on iron and lead for the long term.
Anyone notice how this is like the Au buyfest after we were told it is a relic, no good, and the price crashed?
Guns are bad, evil, they are no good, Zero will protect you with a TSA goon in each house!
And, then firearms sales go thru the roof.
Nobody trusts these Tools in gooberment.
F 'em all, let Jesus sort 'em out! You money changers are still on His List.
I believe in a diversified investment strategy. One of everything with at least 1000 rounds for each. You just never know what your circumstance might be and you want to have options. 9mm to 300 winmag and everything in between. But I may be on a list somewhere...not sure.
Any way you cut it, when you stand back and look at the forest, there is little doubt Comrade Zero will at some point attempt to grab Total Power and proclaim some form of martial law nationwide.
He is a Communist; it's the way they roll.
Invest in lead. With lead, you can get anything else you may need.
I have the impression reading all the posts here that every American is armed to the teeth (but without ammo) and that hell can break lose any minute.
WTF?

During 50 years of the Cold War facing 20,000 Soviet nuclear missiles, millions of soldiers, and KGB spies all over the country we never once had to lock down an entire city and drag people out of their homes like Boston did looking for one lousy 19 year old wounded kid.
Politicians and bankers are wearing their panties on the outside. Fuck their bullshit.
All it will take is an overreaction by law enforcement to a few resisters and then it will be "game on".
Keep an eye on the NG armories near you, noting activity and equipment changes.
Philly,Metro Sexual compliant.Along with the flag waving jackasses in Boston,Ny,NJ,Conn,RI.
Nothing says Molon Labe to the criminal assholes running the government and banks than 100 million free men and women arming themselves to the teeth. A great example how free markets efficiently allocate much needed resources.
Unfortunately, TPTB don't give a rip who they expend in pursuit of their agenda.
As the communists did with their less than enthusiastic population, they simply starved them to death. The government doesn't plan on taking our guns, they will just starve us of ammo until we will willing trade them for food or Obamacare bandaids. Reminds me of my grandfather fifty years ago using an old musket to mix feed grain with. Its just a tool put to its best use.
So the rounds are 7.62 x 39 mm .... 7.62 x 51 mmm .... .223 cal .... all common rounds .... let the soldiers pick their rifle .... as long as it uses one of those three rounds ? And while you're at it .... let our guys have RPGs and IEMs ! Yeah !
Our guys should be trained on the use of the AK47 .... in case they have to use one they find in battle from a dead enemy ?
My wife and I while driving two vehicles with kids and grandkids in tow were ticketed by an Indiana State Trooper for speeding. My wife was in front of me and he had me on radar. She pulled over and backed up to me and then he ticketed her too. He did not have her on radar. The ticket he wrote her had wrong state and license plate number in said boxes. When we presented the faulty ticket to the states attorney rep in court before judge came in he took it from her and we never saw it again. Court room was full of people and lawyers with clients. When wife said to judge that the man at the table took the faulty ticket from her the judge asked him directly if he took it and he said no your honor. No one, of fifty people including attorneys said a word. I went out to the security cop in the hall way and introduced my self before he would be called in to arrest me and returned to the courtroom to state my wifes case. In the time that took the judge had already left the courtroom. I wrote a letter to the judge that night and never heard an F'ing word. There is no rule of law in this country. NONE. Anyone who thinks there is is delusional. I am an eternal optimist but I have to tell you that my wilder days that have tempered some with age and my latest run ins with the law have left me unimpressed for the future of this country. I am 57 and have been shooting and hunting since age 7. There are a whole lot of men and women just like me in this country who have calmly worked, paid their taxes, smiled and paid their parking and speeding tickets, given to charity, helped those who need help, bought houses, shoveled the neighbors driveway, saw government workers pay and pensions double average workers, and kept silent. My dad always said that the guy you don't want to fight is the quiet one cause the big mouths never have anything to back it up with. I am the quiet one and all of "flyover country" is full of men and women just like me. Stay quiet my friends, stay quiet. When it matters we will make noise, not yet.
Deerhunter;
I can identify with everything you said. Born and raised in Michigan, before it became a socialist republic. I am 72 years old. Some hunting, drinking, fighting, and brawling in my younger days. Quiet these days, but armed and pissed at these government thugs and moneysucking parasites, both rich and poor, bankrupting my country.
I'll stay quiet a little longer, but my powder is dry. I still have some fight left in me and I will take a few with me, if it comes to a showdown. Until then, stay quiet and under the radar. We have a tremendous advantage and the evil government criminal thugs and their plantation parasites know it.
STARVE THE BEAST!!!
All I can say Deerhunter is 'Yup'. Don't say anything. Just move and get it done when it's time.
The imported brass ammo in 7.62x39 is running out and more than likely will not be imported again. That being the Yugoslavian crate ammo etc. These are combat rounds and shoot well in cold weather, not the steel case/laquer target/sport shooting rounds.Go on gun broker, their is only a handful left with no intent of getting more.
So the AR15 .... with all it's speed and spin .... is easily deflected by a leaf .... let alone a jungle .... sounds borderline unstable .... put on a positive spin .... it tumbles in flesh .... causing more tissue trauma .... flaunting the spirit of the Geneva Conventions .... I don't care about that .... but I want a bullet .... that can penetrate the shrubbery ?
Ruger, 44 magnum carbine. Semi auto. Leaves are no problem.
... "the right to bear arms shall not be infringed." When elected despots trample our Constitution this right takes on even more significance.
The republic is a beautiful thing...if you have the will & resolve to keep it.
Observe the recent Gestapo tactics following Boston attack-people forced out of their homes a gun point.
I'm OK-I got my guns, ammo, gold and grub after the last crash and the election of B0.
prices on ars at that little place up the road called buds is coming down. and they have them too. wait a little longer and pick one up.but dont wait too long. the gov got its eye out for the next busload of nuns and babies
There is no shortage of guns, if you are not terribly picky. Definitely seen prices moderate. Just a shortage of ammo. It amazes me to see people lined up to buy guns at sporting goods shop and have no ammo for them. Buy something heavy so it can double as a throwing weapon because without ammo, thats about all you have.
Ruger needs to start making ammo or their guns and all other guns will be clubs.
It is our job as gun owners to help educate the public. With that I mean our friends, neighbors and family.
Its in our own best interest that the folks around us are as just as well armed as we are. Folks can cover each other.
Next time you go to the range, ask one of your friends to tag along. If they never shot before, that is PERFECT. Get them into the sport. I do this all the time and you can't believe how many folks that have never shot before have always wanted to but never had the "time". Its an excuse but that fine. Use it against them.
And for God sakes, bring your daughters to the range. I see allot of guys bring their boys to the range and don't bring the daughters. The excuses are endless. Its time to stop the BS and bring your daughters with you.
Look at how it turned out for this 13 year old girl. I bet her daddy is one proud sumbitch.

This is a scary thread... because some of it is truth...
People with nothing left to lose - depleted, confiscated, frozen or nonexistent retirement funds, no jobs, low part time wages, sky high food and gas, and growing govt oppression - as their dire circumstances grow and more join their ranks, will pose a serious threat
