Oh just another eight hundred page “bipartisan” bill that nobody will read, mainstream media will refuse to cover, and that will merely further destroy any remnants of freedom left in these United States. Never forget the George Carlin quote on bipartisanship:

The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system.
Buried in the more than 800 pages of the bipartisan legislation (.pdf) is language mandating the creation of the innocuously-named “photo tool,” a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country with a driver’s license or other state-issued photo ID.
This piece of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act is aimed at curbing employment of undocumented immigrants. But privacy advocates fear the inevitable mission creep, ending with the proof of self being required at polling places, to rent a house, buy a gun, open a bank account, acquire credit, board a plane or even attend a sporting event or log on the internet. Think of it as a government version of Foursquare, with Big Brother cataloging every check-in.
“It starts to change the relationship between the citizen and state, you do have to get permission to do things,” said Chris Calabrese, a congressional lobbyist with the American Civil Liberties Union. “More fundamentally, it could be the start of keeping a record of all things.”
David Bier, an analyst with the Competitive Enterprise Institute, agrees with the ACLU’s fears.
“The most worrying aspect is that this creates a principle of permission basically to do certain activities and it can be used to restrict activities,” he said. “It’s like a national ID system without the card.”

Sure, how about fining everyone who hires a mexican to mow their yard or how about fining people for hiring a mexican painter or carpenter to work on their house, or even a burger served to a customer at Jack in the Box? I have no problem with laws to prevent employers from hiring illegals but those laws need to be transparent. I dont want some E Verify to use that limits my ability to verify legal status due to privacy concerns and then three years later comes in and fines me because they have recently determined the employee to be illegal. Have you ever tried to get tax advice from the IRS? They will tell you that their advice is not binding and if they give you wrong advice its on you. Sure, lets check them out but give me irrevolkable certification. Also for those wanting to look there are plenty of illegal immigrant owned businesses that hire other illegals and pay them cash....wages higher than legal employers can pay. Afterall they have no employment taxes or accounting expenses.
Classic maneuvering by .gov here. Allow people who have broken the law to get into the country citizenship, while the resident US slaves get biometric'd. Get the biometric passed because any opponent to the bill 'racist'. Unreal.

Honestly any law or bill that is more than 10 pages long, I have no intention of honoring or reading, even if it becomes law.
This is the crux - We have to read it to see cause and affect. You will be forced to honor laws or suffer penalties up to and including jail-time.
I quickly glanced at the working bill and I like the part where they talked of E-VERIFY to now be referred to "SYSTEM" in the working document. Like a code. Nothing like having a code to fool the concerned citizenry!

When the crash came in 2008 I was doing very well mate, I was making OK coin and enjoying life as I allways had, then it crashed, and for me, I own a cleaning firm it dropped by half overnight and I knew nothing back then as to why it happened.

Once this "privileged" status is "applied for" (such as a drivers' or marriage license) the individual has given up all rights to privacy. The guts of this new US Immigration Bill are exactly the same as Tony Blair tried to implement in the UK.
His Home Secretary at the time (David Blunkett - one-time communist/fascist leader of Sheffield Council), originally described the ID card "an entitlement card" to imply it would be an easy way to get access to public services. But the planned uses for it quickly expanded as fast as the Blair cronies could think them up. It gave birth to the planned National Identity Register, which looks exactly like what is now being planned in the US. There was never any doubt that Blair's ID Card system was the beginning of a very wide and deep program of State surveillance.
Anyways, the whole ID Card system was trashed by the incoming coalition govt of Cameron/Clegg.
But I have zero doubts that it will be tabled again in the future when the political rulers judge the time is right.

I was thinking more like telling everyone you know, then organizing an event to protest this. Something bigger than OWS. This is my issue with ZH, a lot of noting the problems, but no course of action. If ZH named a date and time to protest this I'm sure it would be a big deal and get notice.
