In a perfect follow-up to both President Obama's earlier comments and the news that a hearing is to be held ion May 17th, Rick Santelli has a few things to say. Clearly irritated at the incredible reality of big brother and government intervention, Santelli pushes his blood pressure to 11 on the dial as he comes to grip with the repercussions of the IRS actions. "Truth is power," he exclaims, "you can't assume someone is fair and honest," just because a politician says so. His bigger fears lie in the IRS administration of Obamacare where he is concerned that "No stent for you," will be heard when the powers that be know what groups you support, what thoughts you have, and what area you live in. Think he is exaggerating? Did you really believe the tin-foil hat wearers conspiracies that the IRS was doing this before it became mainstream news?

Most Americans have no fucking idea what is coming with healthcare in the next few years. I'm only 46 and there's no way I'm working fulltime past another 2 or 3 years. Morale amongst the doctors at my hospital is at an all-time low. Many of us are living very frugally & preparing for early retirements. More than 50% of doctors are over 50, and a large majority of them will be retiring in the next few years....mark my words.
It's not going to be about "no stent for you". It's going to be about "we are sorry for the wait, your chest pain is very important to us, but there are currently 100 patients ahead of you and we only have 1 doctor. Again, your chest pain is very important to us.......".

Hospitals will be bankrupted because they increased their infrastructure/capital/overhead costs in lockstep with a bubble economy. This strategy has left hospitals (and medical practitioners in general) inflexible at a time when they must keep all options on the table. Medicare and medicaid didn't force hospitals to develop more costly campuses and bloated administrations... it only incentivized them to... They injected the drug themselves... and now they pay the price.
The large medical entities will go tits up (if we have any integrity) and the medical practitioners will be free to practice medicine and provide care (worth a shit) to their patients.... and will probably make a shit ton more money in the process. The old expensive machines and equipment can be placed into smaller, specialty clinics that are privately owned by the physicians performing the services. These smaller businesses will not have the luxury of staying alive through "good cop bad cop", i.e. having a myriad of doctors performing services so that the negative reviews/services are somewhat balanced/mitigated and blame can be directed away from the entity itself.
Unfortunately, I fear that those who have been successful in the race to become too big to fail (and thus participated in unsurpassed idiocy) will be bailed out... and the spoils of their idiocy will pay dividends for decades.

Oh it's already happening, I know several people who have been denied coverage on a procedure because the insurance company gives some lame vague 'disclaimer' that says we'd normally cover this, but there was a mistake in the paperwork or whatever.
I "upped" that because in the long run it is true, but in the short run, the hospitals (esp. their administrators) are fat and happy, because of all the money that the government is being thrown at them. Hospitals are buying up private practices left and right because the government is reimbursing procedures at a much higher price when they are done in a hospital system compared to in a clinic.

All the hospitals were called with a price inquiry for a routine procedure, and all of the qoutes were all over the place. They charge what they want because they can, due to the fact they are protected by the state.
Hospitals are buying up every single little outpatient/surgery clinic in existance, which is critical for the healthcare takeover as there can be NO competition allowed to exist, as it threatens the state take over of the health care system. So, how does a broke hospital purchase these businesses? Hmm.
So, they use the criminal arm of the tax collector, to enforce the criminal arm of the states healthcare system, requiring us to pay out the ass for nothing in return except MOAR MIND ALTERING PILLS, and fat, ignorant hospital workers..
Which brings me to a conversation that was so loud, i was forced to hear it. It went a little some'pin like this:

Anarchism in Switzerland: A few historic examples
The LAW is an anarchistic action in Winterthur and was established in 2004. The aim, which we aspire to is an association without authority, sex discrimination, exploitation of the nature, violence and racism. People should organize themselves, without the state or the church. So another aim is, that they learn to organize themselves without informal command structure. So everybody can use the LAW, because we like to catch people with different backgrounds against the state or the capital.
The LAW consists of different autonomous work group like one, which engage itself witch theoretical questions, another witch the environement, with media, internet or with anarchistical feminism and everyone can take part, where he/she wants.
At the moment we organize every month one or two events like lectures, showing videos or concerts and every winter we have got the anarchist days in Winterthur, where we in a fortnight every evening an event arrange with different instructors and themes.

Swedin has a surplus of physicians. We have a shortage. They have a balanced budget. We pile debt up a trillion a year. Everyone has full coverage there. Here many many people don't have medical care nearby because physicians congregate in prosperous markets. Can you convince people to demand change? No. Change requires giving up something to get improvements by interest groups that have large resources. No just the AMA but all large gov't emplyee unions. The unsavory status quo suits many people. That's why it's the status quo.
