Elizabeth Warren Confronts Eric Holder, Ben Bernanke And Mary Jo White On Too-Big-To-Jail

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Michael Krieger of Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

Elizabeth Warren is one of the few Senators out there pushing to understand why the federal government has created an untouchable class of criminals in America that can do whatever they want whenever they want and, not only get away with it, but also get bailed out when they make mistakes.  In case you missed it, I highlighted a powerful video a few months ago in which she made regulators squirm when confronted on “too big to jail.”  Now she has written a letter to Ben Bernanke, Eric Holder and Mary Jo White.  My favorite line is:

“If large financial institutions can break the law and accumulate millions in profits and, if they get caught, settle by paying out of those profits, they do not have much incentive to follow the law.”

Indeed, which is why they don’t.  Full letter embedded below.

Don't let the IRS circus or the AP circus distract you.  The story they don't want people paying attention to is Benghazi:

Simple answer, Liz: because the federal government IS the untouchable "class" of criminals.

Bernanke is the mob boss, what makes you think he'll tell you why he's painted his besties gold?

I don't recall MOFO Global and John Corzine paying back a penny?

AAaaaaaggggghhhhhhh, Tyler how can you give any credit to this woman?  She is pure evil!  At least Gene Parmesan put up the same Youtube video that I am putting up now!

During the campaign for "Kennedy's" seat, it was revealed that she claimed to be a member of the Cherokee nation when she does not have any proof of that.  She was asked by members of the Cherokee nation to provide proof of her membership in their tribe and she refused to do that!  It was also revealed that she does not have a Massachusetts law license and yet as a Harvard professor she contributed to several cases and received compensation for her legal services.  Check the Boston Herald for information that the media will not provide.

so, you choose to side with the criminals who cost millions of jobs and home foreclosures over the ONLY official to call ANYONE to task for it.

you're a fucking idiot.

"Two Feathers" Warren is a fraud and belongs in jail.

Arkadaba's picture

She is the only member speaking out about this issue. At this point good enough for me. No one is perfect and as an outsider I never understood the US thing for trying to elect a perfect president. If I was american, the biggest issue would be did congress let go their oversight on declaring war and when and why.

And it's a hit. Dead center. Plus 1 for you

When Angelenos go to the polls next week to choose the next mayor of Los Angeles, they will be the largest electorate to vote on a constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling.

That's me dudes. Next Tuesday night. I'll see if I can locate the interview I have with the daughter (or relative...I can't remember) of the Judge that was supposed to rule that corporations have the rights of individuals. The decision was never ruled on. The railroads just started to apply the law illegally. Ever since then it has been a curse on the world.

The Federal government did that? The Federal government is one among the cogs and wheels of the 'american' system to achieve the 'american' system of justice (aka injustice).

'Americans' went long and hard on the King's judicial system as structurally, one person was out of the judicial system: the King himself.

As such, the King's judicial system could not contend to be just, but only to serve the King's vision of injustice.

It was a fair point. Evidences showed that the King could not try himself, even though everyone else could be subjected to the King's justice.

'Americans' came with the angle that noone should be out of the reach of a system of justice and that everyone should be tried in order to get leverage over the King.

'Americans' are duplicitous. That story was just a cover to promote their own judicial system.

From the start, it was not about bringing a system of justice but to snatch the King's priviledge to distribute it among themselves.

The result is that from a system where one man was out of reach, you've got the 'american' system where many are out of reach.

Pointing the federal government is 'american' propaganda. Featuring a number of people out of the reach of the judicial system is constitutive of 'americanism'.

This is what 'americans' fought for to impose on humanity.

But hey, 'americans' do what they can do, and this is always the 'american' thing.

Suck my US 'american' mattering thing.

Just remember, no teeth.

Thank God I finally got my fix!

Fictional actions that never happen are always under estimated.

New horse to be ridden by AnAnonymists so they can laugh their way to the bank.

Reality is not renewed like that, at every whim by some people.

Facts never grow old. Only propaganda does.

I'm hanging on to tenuous rarefied shreds here 'stoogin, and I'm not letting go, not this time, I thinks I really gots me something this time. Going to solving this eternal riddle, or at least scare the shit out of it trying.

AnAnon HAS to be...like his country. A Collective. Every post smells a little different ( but, alas, still of a roadside smell)
Weeks of silence...then BAM, 5 inches of test.

You need to post more often.

very true. I know you get many votes down for the ‘blobbing up’isms but American duplicity has indeed been a serious problem returning upon the aggressors who stole a large swath of land from the real indigenous people of the land – no justice for them.

The term “terrorism” defined by The Dept of Homeland Security means any activity that—

(A) involves an act that—

(i) is dangerous to human life or potentially destructive of critical infrastructure or key resources; and

(ii) is a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State or other subdivision of the United States; and

(B) appears to be intended—

(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;

(ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or

(iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping.

Dear Tylers,

The continued use of MSM language to define the partial reset known as the bailouts is an extreme abuse of honesty and disservice to all.

"the federal government has created an untouchable class of criminals in America that can do whatever they want whenever they want and, not only get away with it, but also get bailed out when they make mistakes."

Every deadbeat depositor with more than 100K of funds in our insolvent banks were the direct beneficiaries of the bailout. The outraged Santelli's and apologists like to pretend this is not so by redirecting the focus onto sub-prime, the banksters and GSE's but nevertheless  it is an error to succumb to their Cog Diss.

Is there any doubt that by our own definition the banksters are not just criminals but also terrorists?

I would add that if ever there has been an obvious false flag attack upon the people of this nation with the cooperation of our Government the Financial Crisis of 2008 is the least discussed and most verifiable of them all.

This article makes by blood boil.  Lizzy "two feathers" Warren is a fraud and she should be jailed.  She is asking people who should also be jailed for abuse of power or downright criminal behavior...

uuuuuuuuuugggggghhhh !!!

falak pema's picture

so prove her a fraud and have her jailed.

In the meantime give her the presumption of doubt, of innocent until guilty, as elected senator let her do her job.

At least she ain't scared of the TBTF clique. That's more can be said of the other congress members.

Its too easy to cry "fraud" when you have no real legal bullets to shoot with.

Why don't you reason like your head was breathing fresh air instead of some other humongous noxious vapour cloud?

She is a good hearted woman who is gullible and does not understand the monetary system. She is about to wake the fuck up.

Watching a Democrat take any step toward realising that a Constitutional Republic is superior to a Democracy is good to see.

The Fed could not have been started in our Republic. The country had to be tweaked towards Democracy by narcissists like Woodrow Wilson and FDR.

Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders are hard to hate. They are trying to help the people, the problem is they don't understand that government does more help by doing LESS and letting people thrive without intervention and taxation without representation.

The current regime in DC is more similar to the Rule of King George in 1768 than the Rule of the Republic that was founded shortly thereafter.

She is in the Hornets nest and it's hard for her to have any perspective on reality.

web bot's picture

I'm no liberal, but I have a lot of respect for her asking this question. The real test now is will she continue... because no one else is speaking up or asking this and other questions.

Putting pressure on special interest is always good for future campaign contributions and other favors. She will be bought and paid for soon enough just like her fellow politicians that are obviously, not trying to advance any of her thoughts, arguments, or findings....

Isn't this what Communism is?  The powerful few able to transcend any law or consequences.  At least somebody is asking the right questions from the other side.

MeelionDollerBogus's picture

no, you’re thinking of monarchy, oligarchy and fascism. Communism is the theoretical idea everyone can be made uniformly equal in ability and benefits from society. Slightly different. That particular style of crash ‘n’ burn doesn’t create an elite class, it’s more of a poverty slam-down for everyone but the controllers (relatively) rather than merely existing to steal (warlords, monarchy, oligarchs, feudalism). Americans appear to be taught very wrong things in schools about what “communism” is.

OT: POTUS not down with independent investigation vis a vie IRS crimes. Thinks Inspector General is sufficient

Pure crap

Edited to site the correct crimes....

IndyPat's picture

And the POTUS also just said that heaven and earth should be moved to defend against leaks ( see:AP) yet jack shit should be done to defend actual humans in danger ( see:Benghazi)
Oh, and we need to lend moar support to the Syrian "rebel" zombie cannibal forces.

He really said very little, yet volumes unspoken.

These are great days, brothers and sisters.

... and libertarian paternalism is just another word for liberty. That's why Ralph Nader is driving a corvair with Ron Paul in the passenger seat. Wake up Jimmy Dean sausage and smell the Cass Sunstein agenda.

It's pretty obvious from the degree of vitriol in some of the remarks here (the repeated use of the word "cunt," for example) that some of the opposition to Warren is pure misogyny. Certain ZH'ers aren't happy with political leaders unless they have dicks. It's strange in a Freudian way I don't even want to explore.

If Elizabeth Warren learns too much about the banking system and the Fed she may end up becoming a Libertarian Truther Stacker Birther Clinger Prepper Fringe Lunatic!

Give her a break, we might watch a Libtard convert into a Constitution loving Anti Federalist before our very eyes.

After all, the main difference between todays 'Liberal' and a Libertarian is the ability to learn and see the big picture.

The more she learns, the better off everyone is. She will learn that her Dem freinds inside the beltway that do understand the bankster scams are in on 'em.

She will then marry Ron Paul and move to Uruguay.

Vic Odd's picture

What Liberal used to mean:

1. a person who favors a political philosophy of progress and reform and the protection of civil liberties

2. a person who favors an economic theory of laissez-faire and self-regulating markets

Now in 2013 this is what it means.

1.Indulge in Executive order abuse when Republicans are pesky (Constitutional)

2. Drone attacks, regime changes and Wars are now approved by the U.N. instead of congress

3. Monetary policy based on whatever and Bernanke says

4. Immunity for Monsanto who is now in charge of USDA and FDA

5. Continue 'OperationBlame Bush for Everything'

6. If public doesn't want to cooperate with a Health Care for profit paradigm that ignores prevention and nutrition, force them to pay a tax.

7. Schedule Wine tasting(Clinton) or extra marital affair(Petraeus) to avoid testimonies about weapons trafficking cover ups (Benghazi).

8. Use dead children to push gun control agendas.
