Imagine if hedge fund managers unite against US gov't directed terrorist activities. The gov't doesn't give a shit about thousands of people losing their homes, or unable to feed their families, but what would the gov't do if guys who have billions in walking around money call them on their shit.

Instead, the answer for him, is medium duration corporates....or whatever the fund of the month is.
I think he did both on the PIMCO website. Gross and El-Erian both got laughed off the set of CNBC when they announced that PIMCO was selling off its treasuries. This was a year or two back, you would have to page through Gross's monthly reports to find where and when. He then started buying treasuries again for whatever reason I don't know. Gross is very open about buying physical gold and has bitched about having to compete with the Chinese in purchase prices for significant amounts. Gross has been also fairly open in stating that there was no recession, but there is/ was a depression, that income inequality is unsustainable, and that the US gov't in the past has confiscated gold and there is no reason to believe they won't do it again.
Problem is all he hedge funds and big money people are greedy crooks. For every one that gives Auntie Samantha the finger another one will step into it's place. Greed has no morals.
