Meanwhile In Philadelphia... Live Feed
In a considerably worse 'crash' than the Japanese stock market, a building has collapsed in Philadelphia with 12 injured and 2 still trapped in the rubble. Just as suddenly as the market went from euphoric stability to volatile entropic failure, perhaps a massive infrastructure spending project (Quantitative constructing?) is required in a country in which major urban building can be perfectly stable one moment and a pile of rubble the next...

A problem that is emblematic of the whole damn rotting to the core country.
Too much gold stored on the top floor.
please 'o please tell this came down at free fall in a vaccuum speed
Probably not, but the DOW....?
Take you child to work day at the HAARP facility. Ya turn your back for just a second and they start fiddling with all the buttons and knobs...
Detroit East. Left there 25 years ago and last time I was back it looked like a much older hooker on crack, not pretty and still fucked...
if that would of happened here in b-more, you would have seen people running into the rubble.....than to the lwayers office...
The cops in that video obviously have spent most their days patrolling donut shops, pizzarias, and delicatessens. Those are some mighty super-sized fat-ass white boys. Hell of a physical fitness program you have there Phili PD. lol
Did Silverstein recently purchase it?
Where there any Isrealis seen dancing nearby?
The cheesepopes that worked in that building were told to stay home today.
Where there any financial records from any alphabet agencies stored in that building?
Will there be molten metal found buried in the rubble over the next few weeks?
A building collapsed in Philadelphia? Shocking! Better if sound turned off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=Q04jidJuZjs&feature=endscreen
Infrastructure is crumbling but the welfare crowd just gets money for doing jack shit.
As I have posted before:
Put a 20% flat tax on income. That translates to 1 day of labor per week for full time workers.
Have people on welfare work 1 day a week as compensation.
So when welfare types vote for higher taxes they will be voting to work more than the 1 day per week. We'll see how much unlimited govmint people really want.
There is no "h" in "were". Sorry to be a picker of nits.
The video had it's share of fat asses. Some these people need to save themselves if they expect to help others. "can't see down that hole, my belly is in the way!"
Great cheese steak hogies and soft pretzles wil do that
Swap gold for lead and it's goona be ok.
Get used to these stories.
Two weeks ago, same story in Hartford, CT. Multifamily building collapsed. The brick walls were bulging 3-4 feet at the base. Emergency tear down. Nice.

Whoa Nelly!
This is not an infrastructure failure aka randomn bridge failure this is a VERY badly executed demolition. Look at the D6 in the photo and the construction fence around the multistorey already half ripped down. The clown in the excavator accidently pushed the building he was tearing down on top of the thrift store. This is just pure construction negligence NOT infrastructure failure. The City of Philadelphia will also be on the hook for improper supervision of the demolition permit given to the ass clown who thought it was cool to demo this multistorey with a D6.
this is not a building collapse. this is a demolition mishap.
"Controlled" demolition.....
You didn't demolish that....
Wow! This domolition mishap would have never happened if the building next door was brought down by explosives planted by the Mossad operatives who brought down building 7. Those guys clearly do not make mistakes!
Obviously.
My dad tells a story from when he was working in Vietnam as a contractor with the State Dept. Across the street from his office was a three story building that needed to come down, and a bunch of workers showed up one day to demolish it by hand. Except they started on the first floor. Couple days later, the other two floors fell on them. On the bright side, they only had to actually demolish one floor, gravity managed the rest. In the back of my mind I wonder if that was what the demolition contractor intended all along.
They demolished a building behind my office a couple years ago... it was an old brick 2 story building... guy used a rented trackhoe to do it in the heat of summer... it had a cab and air conditioning (which helps with the dust too). I had to pass by it every day so I was keeping up with the progress daily... well, one day I drive by and see that the cab has a huge dent in it and all the windows are blown out. As luck would have it, a steel beam landed on the thing with the guy in it... apparently he wasn't injured but he had to leave to change his pants for sure.
I guess the rental company told him he bought it because he continued to use it.
House of cards. Economic mascot.
Looked like a war zone even before. Note the very typical ubiquitous Salvation Army thrift store...!
I'm sure one of the injured people screamed out...I wasn't even supposed to be here today!
There I was yesterday, mocking Albany and Trenton...
Lesson to building owners (i.e. banks that are warehousing properties) - Buildings need maintenance. The roof leaks, and in 5-10 years, you get structural deficiencies.
Building 7 was more impressive. Now you see it, now you don't.......
America is now so corrupt, the FIRST suspect in anything bad is now .gov!
gotta love it (not)!
......j%
We know it was Richard Jewell who did it.
It was just a planned distraction, while the 'Thrift Store' was being robbed.
TERRORISM!!!! Run to the governments...
Oh my God, Was it Al Queda? Please save us Dear Leader Obama
Made in China?
Did the police drop a bomb on it? It wouldn't be the first time.

Janet Reno is back serving warrants.
I was there at that time. I remember seeing the smoke. Thought it was screwed up but wasn't until years later(after Waco) that I started waking up to the fact that this was going to become more sinister on the part of gov't and 'authorities'.
That event doesnt get talked about much.
The MOVE members were some nasty folk but what they got wasnt exactly due process.
PPD borrows a large assortment of automatic weapons from a sympathetic collector including two m-60s and a .50 m2.
PPD explosives expert creates bomb out of breaching explosives and 20lb c4 loaned to them by the FBI that was only supposed to be used to train explosive sniffing dogs.
State patrol enlisted for a helicopter but pilot says he is not supposed to go into potential live fire zones. State patrol officer leery of what he sees going down.
To solve this dilema fire hoses are directed at every door and window so there is no possibility of the helicopter taking fire.
Dilema solved the bomb is dropped on the house via state patrol copter delivery system in the area where intel had disclosed fuel storage for generators and it starts to burn, so naturally all fire hoses are shut off.
Ten thousand rounds expended into burning house. The noise of bursts of automatic gun fire rolls across the west philly concrete. What was it ten children burned alive? I forget. For the racists here at ZH they were all black so you can cheer this one instead of condeming it.
City block burns to the ground and city replaces all houses and possesions using union labor at incredulous cost.
Gee didnt learn about this in your contemporary American history class?
No conspiracy theory here. The unwritten law in philly understood by all. Kill a cop and justice will be administered by cops. I dont agree with it but I understand it. Children should be off limits.
Maybe they were told to collapse the black market.
Another lousy collateral
They were demo-ing a building and it collapsed in the process of doing so.
Media spin *sigh*.
MSM is worried that Ben's tapering will have the same effect on the economy.
Look like U.S Real Estate is collapsing for real this summer.
Lotsa free bricks !.
Don't knock it. Have you bought a brick recently? Worth their weight in ... well something ... beans I guess.
Ahh, Americans. Look up the cost of original (reclaimed) bricks to restore your Grade I or II listed home on the market in Europe, and wince. Paying for the lime mortars and rendering is also expensive. Admittedly, you've solved it another way, by making sure you've no historical buildings left (barring the Disney / public attraction owned ones), but there we go.
(Class snark! Wee!)
Get in there close and enjoy the 'stos.
The corrosive effect of wino urine has been long understated and it's effects misunderstood. This decay, coupled with "scrapper" activity on key load bearing structure has at last managed to couple Darwin's theory with kinetic Urban Renewal in a refreshingly abrupt and results-based manner.
Encore, encore!
Was there a passport nearby with the name of our current enemy of the month?
Did a model plane fly into it?
Philadelpia, on the long march to Detroit.
Phili: "City of Brotherly Love."
Used to live there...great place with good Eye-Talian food and a wonderful Farmer's market under roof...but super-dangerous at night. I lived near Jefferson Hosp. and Rothman Institute ...great places....but again...don't go out at night. The anesthesia guy who lived next to me was shot dead in the doorway on his way to the hospital around 11pm....nasty ...but I still love that City.
no where near detriot dude, philly has plenty of problems, however, the city actually grew in pop last decade, housing is relatively affordable even in decent neighborhoods and the city has great food,
I wouldn't call a population increase from an influx of illegal aliens a plus. And outside of a few gentrifying areas the few other decent neighborhoods are declining fast. Yes, the city does still have great food.
It's actually a short march, a very short march.
I had a trucker pick up some machinery for me out of a warehouse in south Philly, the trucker was from kalamazoo Michigan, he'd been long haul trucking for some 20 years, he told me he's been to just about every city in the US and the only time he's ever locked his truck doors was in south Philly.

It didn't collapse, it is a "Market Street Correction".
The thrift store needed to expand, will build new building. Budniss is booming.
I work only a few blocks away and heard about it from the guy who owns the deli on Race Street when I went out for lunch.
This thing looks a bit over blown to me. So, a wreck of a building that was being demolished collapsed instead of being kept under control. So, shit happens. Hey, I'm not a fan of Philly, but let's keep it real. That collapsed wreck of a building was definitely NOT a significant building.
Wake me when the Comcast Tower collapses.
Thanks for the on scene report. When it first happened they said 12 people were missing or trapped so that's probably why the media gave it so much attention-plus it's a slow news day with the only other story being stock market continuing to fall-and they needed a distraction.
Looking more like Bangladesh every single day!!
More Hoax and Chains!
Forward, Soviet!!
I live in New England,
Any city / town over 100K in population has at least 20 to 40% of buildings that should be brought down. It would be safer for a lot of people.
All of Bridgeport needs to be torn down.
Philadelphia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=Q04jidJuZjs&feature=endscreen (better effect with sound off and full screen)
That left a bigger pile than the twin towers did when they fell. What the hell!
Exceptionalism, third world style...bitchez
If the state of Penna can get Philly to break off and float across to NJ for good,it's all good.
This is what happens when you feed termites.....
Is corporate take over of the media so strong that they can completely avoid discussing the backhoe, crane and heavy equipment working at the site of the collapse. They shut down the truth before the bodies cool and blood stops flowing. Look at the before and after pictures. I would be interested if they shut down the alley street view, you'll see evidence of slum lord failure to safely maintain his brick building, mortar was missing, bricks rotting.
That building in Philly collapsed. In China they just... well, they just fall over as if they were drunk.

So ZH posts this but not a single entry or mention of the Bangladesh factory collpase in late April that killed over one thousand sweatshop workers. Gold. No American bias at all...
damn, that would have been some fine yucks, too. They do it right in South Asia. Who else can get +60 bodycount from a pickup truck overturning? Their train wrecks hit four digits.
Nobody cares about brown people getting killed, is that your message? Well F no we don't, there's no novelty to it anymore. We can read about it (or even go see it firsthand) right here in Philly, Chitown, Nashville, NYC....
http://www.phillymag.com/realestate/for-sale/building-collapse-philadelp...
This is the actual news, not the live spew that was emitting from the main stream orafice.
We should control and register crumbling buildings!
