Booz Allen Releases Snowden Update, Discloses His Salary
The first Booz Allen official press release resulting from the Snowden fallout hit just over two hours after the Guardian revealed his identity. Now, Booz Allen has released a follow up press release, this time apparently emphasizing that the employee is now terminated (we guessed as much), and amusingly, that his salary was $122,000. Supposedly this is to discredit the self-reported account that Snowden's salary was $200,000. Frankly, we find it surprising that the NSA has not yet leaked Edward's full confidential dossier, including by what age his bed-wetting habit was successfully contained. Because all is fair in covert ops war and character assassination.
From Carlyle Group-majority owned company Booz:
Booz Allen can confirm that Edward Snowden, 29, was an employee of our firm for less than 3 months, assigned to a team in Hawaii. Snowden, who had a salary at the rate of $122,000, was terminated June 10, 2013 for violations of the firm’s code of ethics and firm policy. News reports that this individual has claimed to have leaked classified information are shocking, and if accurate, this action represents a grave violation of the code of conduct and core values of our firm. We will work closely with our clients and authorities in their investigation of this matter.

Fuck you Bernanke!
Even Shia Labeouf knows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ux1hpLvqMw
Edward Snowden: Saw something. Said something.
Sales of George Orwell's 1984 up 120% on Amazon!
I first read this story earlier in the day via the Washington Examiner. That was a few hours ago and at the time their story stated sales were up a mere 69%. They subsequently updated the article to inform readers that sales had risen to up 91%. Well I just checked for myself and the figures now show a 126% increase. It’s all very dynamic, so here is the link for you to check for yourself. I couldn’t resist posting a screen shot as well. I suppose it makes sense that people would want to get up to speed on the dystopian world being constructed rapidly and secretly around them. - Michael Kreiger
It sounds great, but without scale it doesn't mean much. Maybe sales jumped from 100 copies to 213 copies...
Avalanches begin as a snowflake!
BAH is adding this tidbit to the list of things we should hate Snowden for. They're personalizing this to diffuse the main concern.
Also, where is the MSM blitz with the girlfriend, neighbors, creditors, family, friends, mailman, dogcatcher, and paperboy?
Still does not pass the smell test.
$122k is just the base. If you add per/diem and housing plus paid home leave thrice per year is actually more than $200k. fist year per/diem not taxable.
These guys are very well paid. When they work overseas the first $84k is also not taxable.
I don't get the point of discrediting the $200k. It's not about the guy. It's about .gov
Either way... It's more than enough to buy yourself a designer wife who will cook you gourmet meals at the drop of a hat while you're bombing towlheads... Wouldn't ya say?
Perhaps Bozz Allen wasnt his only income, hmmmm?
Maybe he was a roadie for Boz Scaggs & that's why he's doing the Lido shuffle...
Anyone who has had a high level security clearance remembers the form they signed agreeing not to disclose government secrets.
He may not understand just how screwed he is.
Guardian reporter says "more to come" from Snowden.

Well, as far as "they" are concerned, it is most definitely about the guy, as that's the best (read: ONLY) defense they have against his allegations.
Once the messenger is shot, the sheeple calm down quickly.
Snowden's funeral from Catch-22....

Pretty good montage here, from Fox News.
A fairly damning indictment of the Washington machine.

I read people saying that violating inalienable rights is okay because all three branches of government signed off it. Well, as you know, at one point in time all three branches of government signed off on salvery including SCOTUS that held slaves were not citizens and therefore had no standing to sue in federal court. Amazing.
funny how ignorance works... we never realize how truly stupid we are until it is too late...

+100 One of the most enlivening treatises of modern dystopia I've ever seen. It should in the educational cirriculum (sp).
I also recommend "We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin. Written in 1924.
if you are going to watch brazil might as well throw in time bandits and the adventures of baron whatever... (i can't spell)... those are great movies too... gilliam is a prick but he is prick that makes some fine, fine movies
here in hawaii, my girlfriend (who happens to be a pole-dancing ballerina) says he was earning more than 200k
dunno how she would know that
ahhhh, because she is a pole dancing ballerina.... Geeze...
He was probably including living expenses being paid and maybe bonuses, either way you can bet Booz was getting paid a mil or more of taxpayer $ for his services.
Yep. Often a location like Hawaii will include COLA, maybe a couple flights to the mainland a year biz class etc. And Booz is just billing the taxpayer, not like there is any restraint on paying him
Who cares what he earned. What did she earn?
Just kidding - I value her privacy.
WTF?.. everybody that has ever worked for the gov knows that per diem and special reimbursements are what make fed public "service" sweet.
That does not show up on the gross pay number.
It's 2013- even .gov's get huge bonuses and they certainly aren't keeping up with the private sector, or IRS definitions of taxable compensation...
I want to know what Booz was billing taxpayers for his services!
No you don't.
Contractors' multiplier ranges from 2 to 2.5 or even more. so figure $500k
t-shirt please.
See something. Say something. Get fired.
See something. Say something. Get *destroyed*.
Fired for having correct ethics. Fuck booz Allen! Report this...
The bogus lower salary is there to deter unwanted attention from wannabe fascists. Everyone who wanted to have such a job, already does.
Booz Allen name change in 3...2...1...
You've read 1984. Now you're living in it (like many a soothsayer, Orwell was right about the outcome but badly missed the date). Now learn how to escape it from Jacob Applebaum. Hint: Snowden has got it down.
http://boingboing.net/2013/02/15/jacob-appelbaums-29c3-keynot.html
I take it by clicking the link, my place on the list is assured.
Something does NOT smell right. Here is his credentials...
Is our national security so desperate for help that they hire an uneducated, unskilled, and inexperienced guy for IT security at the CIA? Seems dubious. I mean this guy was essentially doing security guard work. Now maybe with all the defaulted college loans it's hard to find people who can obtain security clearance. Maybe he had solid contacts within the government. But it seems insane that a high school, college, and military dropout is not only hired to a cushy gig but one with access to vital intelligence. Either his past is fiction or we have serious problems in our government.
Creds:
• Raised in Elizabeth City, North Carolina and later moved to Maryland.
• Attended a community college, but never completed his coursework and never graduated from high school.
• 2003-2004: U.S. Army, discharged after training accident
• 2005: NSA, Security Guard, University of Maryland.
• 2006: CIA, IT security.
• 2007-2009: CIA, diplomatic cover, Switzerland.
• 2009-2013: NSA Contractor, Dell and later Booz Allen Hamilton.
• Salary: around $200,000.
What? Seriously? So a guy who never even graduated from high school (he later reportedly earned a G.E.D.) and started his professional career as a security guard, got hired by a couple of defense contractors and — at age 29 — was making $200K a year?
His lack of credentials have no bearing upon whether or not he is uneducated or unskilled.
Most likely he's like any other number of nerds who realize pieces of paper are hardly of any value compared to their ability to make everyone around them appear stupid.
I could have a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering with minors in Math and Economics, but I dropped out as a senior, and worked my way up to the same level anyway.
It has a VERY SIGNIFICANT bearing!!! .Gov does NOT hire for HIGH END positions right out the gate, or technical positions WITHOUT and education. PLUS - not completing schooling or any other life task is perceived by .Gov as being an unreliable person, not completing your goals...
He is not a .gov employee.
Bullshit, I know of a very smart guy who dropped out of high school and now does defense work for daddy gov. Another who dropped out of college and sighned up USAF and last I heard went strait to intelligence. The real smart ones do not need to be schooled.
Bingo! This exact scenario is what gave me a case of Whatthefuckitis when I first heard about it. Most positions of this nature require minimum education, sometimes including graduate-level degrees. Couple that with his oddly shifting employment history and one is left to wonder how the heck a guy with nothing more than a GED and some security guard work (and perhaps a medical discharge after one year service in the Army).....is suddenly toting diplomatic credentials with the CIA in Switzerland. Obviously the guy is smart enough to dazzle the average boob with bullshit, but at SOME point the rest of the resume needs to meet certain criteria just to get through the interview-room door.
For some reason this smacks oddly-similar to the recent CIA-stooge who got busted by the Russians. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to learn this entire incident is a CIA-run op, and this guy is a spook himself.
Read this part, and if you can't see the farce of it, you're not a Human being, "News reports that this individual has claimed to have leaked classified information are shocking, and IF ACCURATE, this action represents a grave violation of the code of conduct and core values of our firm."
See, it's only a violation of code of ethics of the FIRM. They should've excluded this whole bit - makes them look like clowns.
One would think this type of firm would require employees to sign NDAs but since it is govmint work we can't expect much.
If NOT accurate, they'd be up for wrongful dismissal....
Fuck you Bernanke may have been an ok. comment the first 100 or so times and I'm sure it's heartfelt and probably warranted, but really, can you and all the others that are hung up on this expletive just give it a rest for a while. It's starting to sound really stupid.
i hear what you are saying but fuck you bernanke!
eddiebe - thank you. You have expressed my sentiments somewhat. (Except I don't think it was an OK comment the first 100 times or so even.) Surely, we who oppose the system can come up with a more articulate way to express our opposition.
Fuck burnkkake, how do you think they pay for all this?
Would a torch and pitchfork be a better way to articulate our position?
Would a dissertation satisfy you?
Fuck off.
'Snowden' was the character in 'Catch-22' as well.
Hi! by the way we run your government...
Has anyone come up with a Booz Allen drinking game yet?
Booz All-in, never just the tip!
Frankly, we find it surprising that the NSA has not yet leaked Edward's full confidential dossier, including by what age his bed-wetting habit was successfully contained
~~~
Contained?... & here I was thinking that you had to be a bed wetter to get a job there... Shows why I'm not cut out for spook work...
Maybe you could get a series of black out drunk pee-in-your-pants episodes on the CV.
It makes as much sense as anything else that is going on nowadays.
It is important details, such as whether or not you are a bed-wetter, that they are compiling for each and every one of us so that .gov can treat you with the appropriate amount of disdain.
I swear to to Dog... francis_sawyer happened to be a bed wetter until I was about 6 or 7... & my parents bought this sensor pad that administered an electric shock to you if you wet the bed...
Sounds like spook 'pre-training' to me...
Oh dear, we have a live one here: somebody who believes they are looking for trrrrrsts!! LOL.
Get real...they're looking for DIRT (oh, and commercial secrets that can be, errr, passed on to, errrr, clients).
After reading that pew research pole again and getting thoroughly disgusted, i am convinced that the retarded freaking mobs will be scraming for his head on a stick. I hold no hope for this shit hole country.
You mean "poll" right?
This has to go through stages, my man. The phase after "no hope" is "fucking pissed off". Almost there!
Fox News, always ready to pander to the 'proles' is actually playing the outrage card. I was really expecting them to play it down, or even take their lead from Boenher who is calling Snowden a "traitor." So maybe you're right. One can hope, anyway.
Exactly. We deserve what we get.
This also highlights how easy and well the sheep can be herded. Bernay's and Goebbels would be proud.
Some already want the death penalty for Snowden
Fox News analyst Ralph Peters said Monday that Edward Snowden's leaks constituted "treason" punishable by execution.
Peters was speaking to Brian Kilmeade on "Fox and Friends," and argued that no Americans have been hurt by the secret government surveillance programs that Snowden exposed.
“Now you’ve got this 29-year-old high school dropout whistleblower making foreign policy for our country, our security policy,” he lamented. “It’s sad, Brian. We’ve made treason cool. Betraying your country is kind of a fashion statement. He wants to be the national security Kim Kardashian. He cites Bradley Manning as a hero.”
Peters continued, “I mean, we need to get very, very serious about treason. And oh by the way, for treason — as in the case of Bradley Manning or Edwards Snowden — you bring back the death penalty.”
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/10/edward-snowden-treason-fox-news_n_3416078.html?utm_hp_ref=politics&ir=Politics
Until they start treating financial terrorism with the death penalty, they can just stuffit.
They already do punish financial terrorism with the death penalty, trying being a whistle-blower on Wall Street.
(Perhaps you just have a different definition of "terrorism" than they do)
Ok, let's get serious about treason and lynch Ralph Peters...who is one of the real traitors here.
Ok fine, if we can't lynch him, we can boycott his books. Fucking tool.
- that no Americans have been hurt by the secret government surveillance programs
How can that be believed? If this news analyst expert about treason wants to start killing traitors, he's got to know there's a long queue.
Does this mean Fow News wants to kill Jonathan Pollard?? Does BiBi know?
You know what else is treasonous? Secretly undermining and attempting to thwart the constitution of the United States, which all elected gov't officials took an oath to uphold. Right now the citizens could bring charges against everyone of the congressmen who knew about this NSA data collection and did nothing about it. How many congressmen are trying to usurp the 2nd amendment right now? Charge them with treason. This whole fucking clown show that is the US congress has to be stopped from dissembling the entire constitution. Snowden is the least egregious of any of the above offenses.
+1 for "clown show".
Me thinks many don't understand the definition of treason...
@ just observing.
They are afraid themselves and get on the attack.
It's not about the messenger. Argue the case you bastards and lame congress is silent you cowards you stand for nothing.
Manning and Snowden are guilty of treason. It is cool. Why does Peters thing that it's a bad thing?
Their acts were to defend the spirit of the constitution, not the apparratchik pussies of the state. (props to oc)
Treason is only a bad thing if you pledged allegiance to the APS instead of the constitution they claim to serve.
Analysts like Peters really shouldn't say stupid things about 'Assange being guilty of treason' because Assange is not even a damn U.S. citizen. Since Assange has done way more to defend and support the U.S. constitution (as a side-effect) than the APS, MSM and most other Americans, he should be awarded citizenship out of gratitude. He probably wouldn't want it though, and it would have zero legal effect on the current APS efforts to kill him.
My allegiance to 'the state' is only as a result of our common allegiance the consitution. not simply 'in addition' to it and certainly not 'instead' of it. Judicial gaming of the constitution to redistribute my rights to the APS or to any corporation is amusing and all, but I'm afraid the current interpretations will not pass the "Peon Citizens With Torch and Pitchfork" test.
That is exactly what happens to anyone who takes action Doc. Someone actually does something we all spout off about, and within a month, they are filleted and frozen, while whoever was affected becomes the ubiquitous "hero."
Happens every single time.
It reinforces my opinion that most amerikans are emotional, base level beings incapable of doing any critical thinking.
And that is dangerous.
pods
It's been a long time since I read it, so I may not have it exactly right, but F.A. Hayek in Road to Serfdom posits that 10% of any given population is interested in critical thought. I think that may be a little high, but it's close enough for government work. The response to this event, just 48 hours in, is horribly depressing. It may be time to GTFO.
But that's just it. In the surveillance state, in the surveillance world, just where is the O in GTFO. you can run, but you can't hide.
While I understand the sentiment of your post, I would offer up that these types of events illustrate how important it is to find out what we are willing to do in the face of tyranny.
This morning I read this and found myself agreeing with his last statement:
If I must die, then I will do so here in America, fully armed and facing my oppressors. I won't die in some ditch, begging for mercy.
DaddyO
of course doc, when over 50 percent of the population NEEDS the government for employment, food, shelter, medicine, cell communication, entertainment, etc.......its not hard to see how the masses would be infuriated with somebody tampering with the hand that feeds them..................
just look at msm on this story......nobody is talking about the real issue here.........its all about the messenger, not the message.................sadly, i think they will hang him...................................
Here's a fun fact:
~~~
Edward Snowden hails from 'COLUMBIA, MD' which is also where Edward Norton [aka: 'The Narrator' aka 'Tyler Durden'] hails from...
Norton went to Wilde Lake High School [not sure where Snowden went, but there is a Snowden River Parkway in Columbia]...
@ francis
Keep digging, this still doesn't pass the smell test.
I agree, another fault of Americans being that we're not cynical enough.
hmmm francis.....hmmm..............
@kito @esprit
~~~
I'm not saying ANYTHING by that comment... I just saw on the thread the other day that Snowden was supposedly from "Columbia, MD" & remembered hearing that Edward Norton was from there too... I thought it was kind of funny [not suspicious]...
A lot of spooks live in Columbia... It's only about 5 miles from Ft. Meade, MD... [which is where NSA is hq'd]...
Ed Norton's great uncle 'James Rouse' basically built the city [as well as ran a successful property management company with marquis retail spots all over the US including Faneuil Hall in Boston & South St. Seaport in NYC]... That was all before it got sold to General Growth & turned to shit...
Maybe! Just maybe the NSA itself does not like what is been forced to do and wants to burn some politicians on the way to doing the right thing.
Then they should leak the calls that congressmen made to places like The Oiled-up Tranny Midget w/Traffic Cone Escort service. Israeli Intelligence has all those recordings in case the NSA needs any.
@Oracle
~~~
Trust me on this... I've known quite a few NSA 'footsoldiers' in my day and most of them [though I wouldn't call 'stupid'], really don't know WTF is going on... They're a bunch of khaki wearing, golf shirt wearing, ID badge clowns who still think Lee Harvey killed JFK [if their 'boss' tells them that is what happened]...
In summary... THEY ARE THEIR KHAKIS [& they get paid well to BE their khakis & not question anything ~ It's the very definition of cognitive dissonance]...
It's the UPPER LAYERS of the organization which is where the EVIL exists... [& when you come to understand the 'asymmetry' which is prevalent there, things become MUCH clearer]...
~~~
& on the 'Trust me on this' angle, I'll simply say this... All those MF'ers are subject to the occasional 'screening' [from within], whereby someone goes out to do interviews of friends & neighbors about the habits of said individual... So when you start getting a half dozen or so 'visits' a year to background profile people, you know who is a spook & who isn't...
I hear you.
Nothing surprizes me anymore, everything is possible.
Expect the unexpected I say. Bastards
Francis: and NSA just 10 min east on Rt. 32.
The outer boundaries of Columbia have swelled over the past 40 years... So if you're not measuring from town center at Lake Kittamaqundi, you're as close as 5 miles away...
A hanging will be the entertainment the Free Shyt Army can enjoy will dining on the fruits of other peoples labor.
$122,000 + benefits + bonuses, yeah that rounds up pretty close to $200,000 p.a.
Exactly. He would be eligible for about a 30% bonus, he would have an ECAP contribution of about 15%, his healthcare was heavily subsidized, etc. $200K is about right
Hardship and Cost of living adjustment for Hawaii?
As someone who knows the industry well, benefits are standard (worth about $10k year w/ the HC) and a 10% contribution to Snowden's 401(k). Booz offers that special for employees - a benefit worth about $12.2K. So closer to $150k. The more important question is what was the NSA paying Booz for his support, and I bet that number is > $250K.
X
When I worked for them in the MidEast we billed customers 3 x the consultant's hourly rate ... T & L was billable separately at cost.
I totally believe that. In the beltway bandit world, 2x for domestic work, 3x for deployed work is industry standard.
All under the smoke screen of reduced costs via the private sector.
Exactly. It's hysterical how companies tell people "your salary is X....but that is inclusive of benefit costs of around 20k" when the number on your paycheck is 20k less.
Fuck you booze allenbernake.
Could be getting a housing allowance as well.
if his BASE pay is $122k he could very well be making over $200k. $122k may be his 40hr rate without additional addons
And overtime...not strictly speaking salary but it's part of the compensation...he made $200k...your tax dollars at work.
And overtime...not strictly speaking salary but it's part of the compensation...he made $200k...your tax dollars at work.
Edward Snowden: Russia offers to consider asylum request | World news | guardian.co.uk
Gee, I remember a time not so long ago that Russians were trying to defect to the U.S. for asylum....athletes, politicians, etc....now it's the other way around wow imagine that.
29 living in Hawaii with a hot girlfriend making 122k. That's a lot to give up, makes his actions even that more remarkable.
Unless that was all provided to him with the understanding that he would be the "fall guy"...
That's deep...and fits the whole "the Federal Govt. is NOT a monolith and its rifts run deeply" ... set up for a quiet coup?
What is not noted, however, is how much Booz was being paid by the NSA.
My guess is at least $250K.
my guess - an educated one, having seen a couple of federal government IT budgets in detail - is that the feds paid $1.5 mil or more per year for this hire.
Called Bonehead's office to inform them that the US Government is currently in violation of the 4th Amendment to the US Constitution. The meager little intern girl quickly "transfered" me and hung up. Oh well, at least I got to listen to patriotic music while waiting.
Give him a call, it doesn't take that long to voice your opinion.
US troops, WHO are you fighting for? Time has come to hear truth and stop believing the lie. You are not fighting for the peace and security of America or ANY nation for that matter. The real terrorists are your sold out, bought and paid for zionist controlled Criminal Government/Military leaders. You invade nation after nation in zionist manufactured wars, slaughtering the innocent, preparing the ground for zionist corporate locusts to divide up the spoil. US military, you have become a scourge to every nation you step foot in. Understand you work for war profiteers. US government is hijacked under zionist control and you have been betrayed. Break The Chain of Command! Better to turn the gun on your criminal zionist superior than obey illegal orders to invade nations and murder innocent.
Send the Police Paddy Wagons to Capital Hill and start arresting these Criminal Politicians for High Treason especially those Psycho Politicians Republicans and Democrates that are calling for charging Snowden who real did a heroic act, a good deed by exposing these Criminals with their hands all in the cookie jar! Americans wake up for your children’s sake arrest these Criminals! All those Hero’s that died for this country who fought for freedom has died in vain when Americans allow this type of Crimes of High Treason to go unpunished!
I'm betting they'll go for "Pedophile Grandson of a Nazi war criminal".
First thing I thought of when I heard his name was Snowden dying with his guts coming out in a bomber in Catch-22. Hope the doesn't presage his end somehow ...
That's why you come out in a big time way. They would have disappeared him by now if he wasn't all over the newspapers. Now their only options are to take him to court or try to get this story off the front pages.
Same here, everytime I read one of these stories it makes me think of Catch 22.
good call, gjp. i said yesterday he was a controlled psy op but got thumbs down all around. catch 22 great read
wow, they're really concerned about "core values"?
exactly. The most immoral, horribly invasive, illegal company is complaining about ethics.
Booz Allen terminated an employee for Code of ethics violations. What ac crock!
He had some ethics. That's why they terminated him.
According to RT.com, Russia is considering offering Edward Snowden political asylum: http://rt.com/news/russia-consider-asylum-snowden-517/
Oh the irony...that an American citizen may need political asylum from the "Land of The Free".
It is surely time for American citizens to stand up against Obama's despotic government and rising surveillance state. When Is Enough, Enough?
Stand up against "Obamas despotic government". What, you were living in the Himalayas during the Bush years? Its not the "Obama" government, its the whole damn thing.
Absolutely. Divide and conquer on display here. The fact that 95% of those who voted for Obama create way to intellectually accept this, when 7 years ago they would have been in the streets protesting, shows the absolute power of "divide and conquer". Those on the "right" pay some lip service here... because of their hatred of Obama, but even that is muted as they have been pitching the "national security... this is WAR... fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here, freedom isn't free.. NEOCON BULLSHIT" for... well... forever. So that leaves a tiny fraction of people capable of allowing themselves to feel the outrage that should come naturally. Oh well. Maybe it's time to GTFO (as I said above).
Sure, but it's too late for anybody to stand up against he Bush Government. Obama has taken over the baton and is running with it.
I won't even say it...
Sad irony!
well it looks like Putinland is the new California; first Depardieu goes there to avoid fiscal harassment; now Snowden gets invite to avoid the CIA version of the Bulgarian brolly and/or a stroll in Gitmo.
Looks like Gulag land is becoming Goulash land; they will be holding the winter olympics in Sochi in 2014!
So they'll need some good security internet whizzers to run the security systems and spooky screens on that.
I'm giving Snowden a hint; apply and postulate for head systems analyst on Sochi Olympics; your salary triples and then goes ten fold with the bonuses and caviar if you do a good job!
Guaranteed Tovarich!
Violating the firm code of ethics policy.... Do this bastards even know what ethics is ? Is they and the head of the NSA and that black president who should be in jail, but since they make up the laws as they move along, is they who decide who lives and who dies. The american public are just sheeple in line for the slaughter. The idiot machine is working overtime.
'Ethics' lol
So $122,0000 base and what was his bonus?
Pretty decent for a "high school dropout" (which seems to confound every MSM operation and status quo worshipping journalist).
Also, didn't Booz start advertising for Snowdens job on May 22nd when he vacated the post. Not on June 10th when Booz CLAIMS to have fired him.
Who cares? I'm polishing up my resume right now!
http://careers.boozallen.com/search?q=honolulu
Isn't releasing salary information an ethic code violation?
Let's not fall for this "it's all about Snowden" trap. What he leaked is fact not testimony. What kind of person he may or may not be is completely irrelevant and the press should be stressing this point not joining the witch hunt game.
Zackly..the message is in the message...
Lets not be distracted by the red herrings being released by the true criminals
Snowden hoping he can find asylum in Russia...wow that's a feast for thought right there!
Fuck you Carlyle - die a painful death you pricks
I'm certainly shocked.
At least the Mafia had class. They were dirty lying, cheating, stealing murderers, but they did it without trying to pretend they held any moral high ground.
And they did it silently.
Imagine a Mafia press release when one of their own turned tail into the arms of the DA.
Booz Allen. Yes, you guys are shocked.
Doing a 30 second search shows most of Hawaii has perdiem of about 330/day.... I did a few months of LA County per diem, and it let me buy a new furnace for my flyover country house on my return - LA is pricey, but not HI pricey.
I predict I see that 122K number a dozen times this morning, on any whacko stock board I can stand to look at.
$122,000 PLUS additional pay (travel, per diem, COLA, etc). His pay probably was 200k depending on bonuses and where he was working.
Exactly.
My own total income from a large US multinational was considerably higher than salary after all the generous additions were taken into account, including car or car allowance, travel expenses/per diem etc.
I was about to say this, too. Then I saw you did. $122,000 base salary plus OT, travel, bonuses and all the rest of it can quickly add up to $200,000.
I listened to a couple of interviews by this Snowden guy. He is far too articulate for an average non HS graduate. I heard his history was that he tried to get his GED via technical classes but did not finish the coursework.
The guy I heard was too complete, too articulate to leave something like a HS completion, even via GED undone. Especially if he has BOTH technical skills AND the ability to speak and formulate cohesive thoughts. This guy spoke better than the interviewer. Hell, they are giving HS completions to gang bangers just for adding up the receipts of the Drug sales they make in LA.
Something doesn't jive here.
PS. Plus I bet he has a terminal disease. He is not really looking for an out here....
Um like, really? Have you ever like been on a college grounds or whatever? I mean, there's like nerds and stuff there, but it's SO chill. Geaux Tigers! I was like "thank god for spell check!"
Just saying. Word.
I'm very amused every time I see someone point out he could not possibly talk like that and be so together without having completed college. As someone pointed out earlier, the fact that he skipped all that indoctrination, HS included allowed him to slip through with his humanity intact.
"Something doesn't jive here."
Exactly... It should be glaringly obvious now (as if it weren't already) that high school and college are complete BS meant only to enslave the minds of the masses.
