And just like that, the entire world is on fire with Greece back in the frying pan following news from Kathimerini's Chrysoloras that the Greek coalition has collapsed, and the possibility of a snap election front and center, and with it the likelihood that the Greek memorandum is voided, the Grexit follows and so on.

I think you are speaking sense to people who may not want to hear the truth. They have some warped idea of what nazis are all about, as do most of the people who vote for golden dawn. Imagine if they took over. One could kiss one's rights (free speech, press, etc) good-bye. The people who are arguing with you somehow think these nazis are going to oppose Merkel. That is a joke. They would eagerly enforce the most strict austerity. But if they ever came to power, the EU (although it would like to have obedient Greek servants) would be pressured into kicking Greece out.

Mark my words, if a new coalition is formed that is going to pull out and risk taking out Goldman Sachs by blowing up their derivative exposure the US is going to send military troops into Greece to prevent a systematic collapse of the whole banking system. Nato can't do it since both are member countries. You'll hear rhetoric about terrorism along with some violent event to justify going into Greece to stop further outbreaks. They will probably go in under the auspices of lack of ability of the coalition government to enforce law or some variation of. If they go in under Nato they will use some iteration of the coalition government not being an effective government to either throw them out of Nato or go in to stabilize the country since it is a member. No matter what shit is going to get real ie debt negotiations at the end of the barrel of a gun if they do. I hope they do since once that happens the EU, US and all can't take the moral high ground in the world's eyes if they intervene.
