Moody's Retaliates At Hong Kong For Snowden Insubordination

Tyler Durden's picture

Uncle Warren appears unhappy with the humiliating can of whoop-ass Hong Kong unleashed on his favorite crony banana republic. So he has retaliated in the only way he knows: Moody's.

  • MOODY'S CITES POTENTIAL HK 'PROPERTY BUBBLES' - this one is really good.

But the best reason is:

Yup. Moody's just figured out Hong Kong has exposure to... China. Of course, Hong Kong's downgrade of US foreign policy to laughably pathetic, outlook hilarious on Sunday, was a complete coincidence.

Hussein Obama and Eric Holder have zero credibility.

The world knows it.

Weaponized Moody's.

Take that bitchez!

so they downgrade the USA and treasuries soar in value...but when they upgrade the USA treasuries get absolutely annihilated. and this is a ratings Agency? hmmm. Krugman's "historic mistake" might end up being prophetic here. (not that that's going to go over well in these here parts either.)

Yet more proof of the state and the mega-corps being joined.

And they call that...?

I think the Marx Brothers made a movie about all of this once.

You smell that? Do you smell that? Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory

"Fascism /?fæ??z?m/ is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism[1][2] that came to prominence in early 20th century Europe."

Fascism = nationalism. What is happening here is internationalism; the use of the United States' state apparatus to set up a one world government. Far closer to communism than to fascism.

Once again, too many ZHers need to turn off Alex Jones and try cracking a book more than 50 years old.

Bearwagon's picture

One would be well advised to go with the words of Fascism's grandmaster Benito Mussolini, instead of Wikipedia's definition:

"Fascism is the mergence of high finance and state."  B. Mussolini

They trynna catch me ridin dirty's picture

Yeah and what was the goal of the mergence? Here it goes, ready? NATIONALISM! The state apparatus was unified to operate to advance the interests of the Italian people. Mussolini was an EXTREME nationalist, and his ideology encompassed that.

Like I said, no matter how many times you post that quote out of context, it doesn't change the fact that fascism = nationalism.

Bearwagon's picture

I am supposed to care more for the cause, than the effect, and that is far from out of context. If you care more for the effect, that's fine with me.

Bastiat's picture

Wrong.  Nationalism was the packaging to engage emotional support of the public. The "goal of the mergence" was to use the power of the state to enhance corporate power NOT to "advance the interests of the Italian people."

MayIMommaDogFace2theBananaPatch's picture

and what was the goal of the mergence? Here it goes, ready? NATIONALISM!

The goal is complete CONTROL.

Relentless's picture

You get it!

The goal is ALWAYS control. They can call it whatever they like to try and get you to buy into it, but the end result when you take the wrapper off is a set of chains with your name on them.

"I am a citizen of the World."

The concept here is to get everyone thinking of the world as their nation.  You want to dwell in the obsolete concept of what constitutes a nation; the modern concept is not that of the present nation-states, but rather we are one nation of the world, with the present nation-states as subdivisions to come under the authority of the world-wide governing bodies.

Once you understand that the concept of what constitutes the "nation," you then understand why Mussolini's quote is still relevant; what we have is the merging of the world as a nation, with the international corporations of that nation (the world).

As yes, it is nationalism, with the world as the nation. Think Earth Day, Global Warming, unrestricted passage across (current) national borders, and so on.

That is the 21st Century definition for these people of the world "nation."

It's just one Big Blue Marble . . .

Cathartes Aura's picture

it's quite the trick, to get individual humans to identify themselves with a imagined boundary, named as a "state" - with fluid lines drawn and redrawn over time, whenever the financial class find it to their advantage.

it usually starts with a flag & a uni-form, and of course, the man-datory figurehead.

identity, such a co-opted notion, being part of a named group seems to have such appeal.

team sports & cheerleaders all.

YuropeanImbecille's picture

Don't try to explain to these Alex Jones Communist loving idiots anything, he said it was fascism, then it must be right?

Why would that lying sack of shit lie? Maybe to serve his puppetmasters? nah, could not be.. let us trust him and never read any books and gather our information from psyops sites instead!

They trynna catch me ridin dirty's picture

Yeah go ahead and downvote geniuses. The whole point of fascism was nationalism, i.e., the exact OPPOSITE of what TPTB are aiming for (one world goverenment).

Maybe if you post that "fascism is corporatism" Mussolini quote out of context a few hundred more times it will change reality.

The only antidote for internationalism is nationalism.

MayIMommaDogFace2theBananaPatch's picture

Is it so difficult for you to imagine that what you are arguing (in a completely polarized manner) might simply amount to a DIFFERENCE IN SCALE?

InTheLandOfTheBlind's picture

tone may account for more of those down votes... unfortunately it is about how you say what you say just as much as it about what you say....

ATM's picture

Close but it ain't going to be "communism" if we are using text book definitions. I'd call it tyrannical authortarianism or more accurately, neo-peonism. We're all being set up to be debt slaves to our authoritarian masters - for our own good of course.

They trynna catch me ridin dirty's picture

I can agree with that. However, what you describe is always what communism becomes in practice anyway.

SilverRhino's picture

Neo-feudalism is the word you are looking for.   The population of the world is more than enough since the Black Plague so that they can reinstitute their favorite government system of serfs, knights and layers of management.

kridkrid's picture

It's fine to go dictionary definition... but when you do so, you can't then call what we are moving towards a form of communism. I would say the same to you about opening a book and reading some Marx. But I agree with you that our govt, while co-opted by corporations, supports a global banking oligarchy vs. a national one. The nationalism and racism that you are looking for is simmering, just under the covers, waiting for the next leg down. You'll see it soo enough, I think. Time will tell.

They trynna catch me ridin dirty's picture

The nationalism and racism does exist, but it is that of a trans-national race and nation that seeks to establish a one world government over all tangible nations. That's the difference.

+5 (one for each of your attempts to get through to the numbskulls in this thread who are each missing your main point). Tough audience!

kridkrid's picture

Meh... or could be that he is the numbskull who didn't realize that his views are not much differnet from the people commenting in the thread but instead decided to change the point to semantics. All of these labels are relatively pointless, really. Like all systems, this system is going to collapse... but unlike the past when there were competing systems that could help to absorb the fallout, the globe will fall together.

MayIMommaDogFace2theBananaPatch's picture

but instead decided to change the point to semantics.

Someone needed to say that -- thanks.

Bearwagon's picture

Now I understand you much better. (Could be because I'm not a native speaker...). And I can agree.

kridkrid's picture

If only Joh McCain or Mitt Romney would have won, this whole thing would be completely different. Those guys definately would have valued our civil liberties over some BS survellience grid... they would have shut that sucker down... no big center in Utah... rollback of the Patriot Act... nothing for Edward Snowdin to expose... no trip to HK... no reason for the downgrade and this whole thing never happens. All we need to do is elect some small government, civil liberty minded republicans.... like McCain or Romney.

MFLTucson's picture

They did not win, your communist sympathizer did so why even brig such a lame issue up?  Put the blame where it belongs, squarely on the shoulders Holder and Obama. Good try though.

kridkrid's picture

Communist sympathizer? Who knows what lies somewhere in his heart... assuming there is a heart somewhere inside that made for TV persona. But it matters not what lies in his heart... he's just another in a long line of banking oligarch, MIC, fascist puppets. He's no different than W, Clinton, GHWB, RR, Carter, Nixon or LBJ. All fascists, regardless of the silly little letter near their name at election time.

They trynna catch me ridin dirty's picture

Contrary to what ZH believes (as told by Alex Jones), they are not fascists, but internationalists. You can't have fascism without its nationalist/racialist core.

Try reading something by Mussolini--ya know, one of the guys who actually created the ideology. And I don't mean the same old quote that Alex Jones pulls out of context.

MayIMommaDogFace2theBananaPatch's picture

You can't have fascism without its nationalist/racialist core.

Why do you think they wrapped this fascist up with leftist rhetoric and a peace prize bow? I think the next fascist we "elect" will have less to hide... we'll be asking for him by then... by design.
