Fascism = nationalism. What is happening here is internationalism; the use of the United States' state apparatus to set up a one world government. Far closer to communism than to fascism.

Wrong. Nationalism was the packaging to engage emotional support of the public. The "goal of the mergence" was to use the power of the state to enhance corporate power NOT to "advance the interests of the Italian people."
The goal is complete CONTROL.

The concept here is to get everyone thinking of the world as their nation. You want to dwell in the obsolete concept of what constitutes a nation; the modern concept is not that of the present nation-states, but rather we are one nation of the world, with the present nation-states as subdivisions to come under the authority of the world-wide governing bodies.
Once you understand that the concept of what constitutes the "nation," you then understand why Mussolini's quote is still relevant; what we have is the merging of the world as a nation, with the international corporations of that nation (the world).
As yes, it is nationalism, with the world as the nation. Think Earth Day, Global Warming, unrestricted passage across (current) national borders, and so on.
That is the 21st Century definition for these people of the world "nation."
