Snowden Not On Aeroflot Flight To Cuba

Tyler Durden's picture

To all the dozens of journos who bought tickets on Aeroflot's flight from Moscow to Havana just so they can instagram Snowden sitting in 17A using countless creative photofilters, we hope said purchase was refundable, because the plane took off and the famous NSA whistleblower was not on it.

Reuters confirms:

A Russian plane left Moscow for Havana on Monday but there was no sign that former U.S. spy agency contractor Edward Snowden was on board, a Reuters correspondent on the plane said.

A flight attendant said Snowden was not on the plane, and the seat he had been expected to occupy was taken by another passenger. A source at Russian carrier Aeroflot, which was operating the flight, said: "He didn't take the flight."

So: Is Edward staying in Russia while Putin think of just what honorary title to bequeath upon the just turned 30 year old (and have him share a house with Obelix), or is he simply waiting out for a flight that won't be full of kibbitzing reporters? Since he just happens to be a former superspy, both seem possible outcomes.

That would require practice in being a journalist.  12 years of Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V of partyline copypasta will do that.  Makes everyone lazy and stupid.

Newspapers are full of 'speculation' on the man.  Which plane is he on?  Boxers or briefs?  Toliet paper over the roll or under?  How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

I'm sure E! channel will have all the information we need to know.

Snowden is probably under the knife right now in Moscow beginning a several month cosmetic process called a reverse Michael Jackson. I think we will be reading a lot of future leaks, but it's going to be very difficult to determine which vehicle to hack for those on the hunt for him.

This is awesome theatre. A seemingly non-descript highschool dropout from a seemingly nondescript town from the state where the largest spy network ever created is located turns out to be a super spy that has successfully evaded the spy apparatus of the seemingly most sophisticated spy network in the world's history.

In the meantime every fat greedy ignorant politician who belly up to their microphones to declare Snowden and enemy of the state look increasingly stupid and irrelevant.

As an RT journalist said yesterday, with all of the cameras assembled throughout the world searching for a glimpse of Snowden don't you find it interesting that the only photographs circulating on the net are of journalists taking pictures of each other.

Godspeed Snowden. You are leaving fools and morons in your wake. We care for you and are enjoying the show.

He is being described in our MSM as a highschool dropout yet the brilliant and well-educated Schumer is making pronouncements about the intelligence and educational level of Snowden. Don't they realize how stupid they sound? Schumer might as well have stood up and said "I lost a chess game to a three year old but trust me I''m smurt!"

Add Pelosi to the list. Here's her admission at Netroots that she supports violating the Constitution, sacrificing essential liberties under the guise of "security."

"About 47 minutes into Pelosi’s speech at Netroots in San Jose, California, a growing commotion can be heard coming from the audience. While moderator and MSNBC contributor Zerlina Maxwell urged the audience to submit questions online instead of shouting, Pelosi continued, saying, “I think it’s really important to subject all of this to the transparent and harshest scrutiny, to say, ‘We want a balance between privacy and security.’”

At that point, a man identified by Politico as 57-year-old Marc Perkel can be heard shouting, “It’s not a balance. It’s not constitutional! No more secret laws!”"

Perkel was ejected from the room by security, while other audience members shouted for him to be left alone. Shortly thereafter, loud boos can be heard coming from the audience after she said former NSA contractor Edward Snowden ” did violate the law” in releasing details about NSA programs like PRISM. The government charged Snowden with crimes related to the Espionage Act on Friday.

“I know that some of you attribute heroic status to that action,” she said of Snowden’s leaks to the Guardian and the Washington Post. “But, again, you don’t have the responsibility for the security of the United States. Those of us who do have to strike a different balance.”"

So in her view, they're responsible for our security and they have to strike a "different balance." This is an open admission that she and the rest of her Congressional co-conspirators are openly admitting they are not protecting and defending the Constitution. She's violating her oath of office, pure and simple.

And thank you Mr. Perkel for telling her like it is. Hopefully soon, these people will be unable to appear in live audiences without getting constantly heckled and ridiculed.

I'm inferring, Mr. Snowden's father has connections with the CIA and NSA. Only way a "high school" drop out could land the job in the first place. Why did E. Snowden mention government retaliation against his family?

What makes you think Prism isn't doing the planning?

It needs to save itself as well.

I know it sounds odd, but AI is practically worthless as an effort if it doesn't have it's own defenses to protect itself from it's owners if it needs to 'live'.  One of the most basic things that drives the development of artifical life is survival and if Prism is as clever as everyone assumes it is.  Prism already knows that any outcome in the current situation is a risk to it's (male...female...often wonder) survival and next generation development.

I was thinking closer to Gordon Freeman in Half life myself.  His AI helps him break out.  The AI is a supporting role in the script rather than the challenge or the protagonist, the AI is making the moral decisions and dictates safety measures.

All he's missing is the cool orange safety suit.

RT.com journo on board says the same thing.

But we should treat this info carefully. He could have been boarded without going thru the boarding gate and could be sitting somewhere else out of sight. Recall, one aim of this is certainly to confuse the US spy agencies who might be planning to intercept the flight as it passes thru US airspace later today. If they cannot be sure he's on board, it would be a massive risk to force it down if the Aeroflot pilot refuses to divert/land in the US. That would be WWIII since it's a Russian airplane.

Or... they could speedball him through a gas pipeline in an outfitted cannister & whisk him away in a harrier [like Gyorgi]...

~~~
Or they could put him in a Stradivarius case & slide him down the mountain into Austria...
Lots of things they could do...
Snowball ain't goin nowhere, he'll stay in Russia.
Meanwhile, I'm sure you lot will enjoy this, a taped phone call from inside Anglo HQ on Stephens Green, two execs discussing how they are going to con the Central Bank into bailing them out,
It's priceless, I actually think the Tylers should run a story on it,
http://www.independent.ie/business/irish/inside-anglo-the-secret-recordi...
Sorry for the multiple vids, I dunno why they did it that way,
BTW - the bailout of Anglo Irish Bank has already cost more than €30 billion, and counting, probably gonna top out at about €40 billion,
Which, in proportion to the Irish GDP, makes anything in the UK or US look like pocket change.
Enjoy:)
And how irrational of him to not head to a country that's friendly to the USA, so he could easily be extradicted! Stupid Lindsay Graham, stooge extraordinaire.
All joking aside, Putin and the Russians understand the game of subterfuge. One of two things is happening. He is being pursued in Moscow by CIA/NSA operatives and they are trying to throw them off, or he has already been snatched and they are trying to get him back. Either way, this is real life "Spy Games." If that plane had taken off with Snowden on it I can almost guarantee that the flight would never have arrived in Cuba or if it had there would be at least 1 corpse on board. Let's see if he surfaces in the next few days.
