Meanwhile, In Egypt... - Live Feed
Update: The Muslim Brotherhood offices have been set on fire...
It appears the re-civil-war in Egypt is gathering pace. What started at tens of thousands has swelled to hundreds of thousands of people crowded into the infamous Tahrir Square. As the live feed below shows, for now it is lasers, fireworks, but fires are starting to breakout and small skirmishes with police are being reported as the crowds call for Morsi's ouster. Morsi's supporters/civil servants, meanwhile, demand that "the elected president has to complete his term. We will not relinquish this even at the cost of blood."

Tensions are soaring in the run-up to Sunday, when the opposition hopes a massive turnout will help to unseat Mr Morsi. Dozens of people were injured, some with birdshot pellets, as rival demonstrations by Islamists and their opponents in Cairo attracted thousands of people.
Organisers of a campaign called Tamarrod, or “Rebellion”, say they have collected millions of names on a petition calling for early presidential elections.
The opposition blames Mr Morsi for what it says are attempts to entrench the power of his Muslim Brotherhood group and marginalise other forces.
They also say Mr Morsi’s actions since he came to office have deepened divisions in the country and he has failed to live up to his promise to be a president of all Egyptians, not just Islamists.
The Islamists dismiss the opposition as bad losers at the ballot box who have allied themselves with corrupt remnants of the overthrown regime of Hosni Mubarak, the former president.
...
"The elected president has to complete his term,” said Khaled al-Mahdi, a civil servant from the Delta province of Sharqiya. “We will not relinquish this even at the cost of blood.”
...
“Vigilance is required to ensure we do not slide into civil war,” said a statement by Al-Azhar, the venerable Islamic university revered across the Sunni world. Broadly supportive of Mr Morsi, the statement blamed “criminal gangs” who besieged mosques for street violence which the Brotherhood said has killed five of its supporters this week.

Please send this to the Great Senator Mccaine.
When did McCain become such a f*cking c*nt? Every stupid thing choom boy wants to do he automaticly supports. Why did anybody ever think there was a difference between the two?
No just McCain - it is McCain and the rest of the Gang of 8 shit - Schumer, Turbin, Rubio, Graham, Flake, Bennett probably Orrin Hatch with various Dems and RINO scum in the Senate.
I want to see the Nile .... run red with Muslim socialist blood .... like in the time of the Pharoahs .... to feed the Israeli fisheries .... nothing too good for my Joos .... how about a reverse Exodus .... the land belongs to those who will husband it .... and make it flower with milk and honey ! Egypt is a failed state .... pull the plug on foreign aid, military aid and food aid !
Whether you like or dislike any country in the Middle East including Israel ought to be a matter is dispassionate indifference to the conduct of foreign policy by the government of the United States under the Constitution.
Unfortunately, foreigners and their hateful nazionist ways have hijacked the government of the USA....and you will get your sectarian wish.
Let's do lunch .... beating human heart sound good .... with a side of severed head ?
That long haired fuck is guilty of crimes against humanity. I hope a bomb drops on his fucking head,
So much for those face-to-camera street interviews with Muslim Brotherhood members during the initial Egyptian revolution, who all trotted-out the party-line that the World had nothing at all to be concerned about the Muslim Brotherhood coming to power in Egypt, that they would rule for all Egyptians.
Seems maybe didn't mean it.
The 'gypos have just swapped one unbearable corruption of power for another unbearable corruption of power.
The Muslim Brotherhood is no friend to mankind or "democracy".
I caught a lot of shit around here for saying it in Arab Springtime (lol) and I'll keep on saying it and catching shit. Mubarak was a despot, these fuckers are even worse given their religious zeal.
"Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations."
Oh thats fucking lovely.
End of the year tops before the military slits their throats, even with the "Brotherhood" replacing top commanders in mass a year ago.
No you were correct then and are correct now.
Thanks man.
You know it must really suck to be an Egyptian, who desires a secular, Rule of Law type government instead of some half-assed Sharia/Caliphate/Emir imposed model.
If its not the Romans, its the Persians. Ottomans, Brits...they've had a pretty rough time and the man on the street is always the one who suffered.
I've never doubted that at any time, nmewn, I may dump a lot, (OK, a real lot) on Western policies and actions creating and stirring the violence, but I entirely understand the nature and problem of radical political-'Islam', as you have described it.
Obviously Washington understands it too, they just love arming it, and then claiming peace, brown-rice and little girls on sunny days with flowers in their hair, will be the outcome. And of course it never is, what results is always unforgivable barbarity and horror.
New videos of mass-decapitations by 'rebels' in Syria are again emerging over the weakened (have a look if you have the stomach).
With US weapons inflows they are going to go on a massive regional slaughter spree. And Israel will be wringing its hands with glee, as Hezbollah and Damascus will be in the middle of a massive regional sectarian 'genocidal' bloodbath, and Washington is cheering it on from the sidelines, and tossing them the weapons, ammo and sharpening their blades for them, when they get dull from cutting throats.
Perfect!

anyway mate, I have a plane to catch, have to go make money for a govt to waste on something completely useless and counterproductive ... have fun
They seem to think just because Hezbollah is on one side the other side must be "the good guys". They are incredibly naive, there are very few good actors in the region.
Be safe, look forward to your return.
Come on man. This is what democracy looks like in a country that doesn't have a population indoctrinated to the wonders of democracy. When one side loses the elections, especially after a revolution where they thought they were the difference makers, but weren't, they tend to go apeshit.
In this case the urban "secularists" (still, mostly, unbearably religious for the average western social liberal) found out that much like in Turkey, they are in the minority and in a democratic society they still lose even when the big bad Mubarak is gone.
People have a hard time accepting being led by their enemies.
It's amazing they do this shit like every two years. At some point you would think they would say hey, 'maybe we don't need rulers anymore.'
There is something terribly insecure about (some) Islamic men,and there relationship towards women.I think if Sigmund Freud was alive he would be hard put to analyze one of these fellows. They see all the girls flashing their Bikinis on the beach and that makes them sluts (they could be virgins, but beat them anyway, because they are being totally "immodest").The Taliban move into Afghanistan, everyone buries their Satellite dishes and receivers in the back yard. The Taliban leave, and its Satellite Porn time in Omars hut.Look,I am not pointing the finger, only highlighting the hypocrisy. We've been there over ten years and they can't eradicate the Poppy fields? Hmmm, sounds strange to me.
i'm hoping that this happens in Amerika because i'm sick and tired of the zombies that have replaced thinking human beings here.
Someone should set up a Shawarma stand in the middle of that mess. People get hungry throwing bricks and stones don'tcha know!
For the kiddies, maybe a waffel-cone with one or two falafles.
Monday: If I'm understanding news reports correctly, today's demos across Egypt will not be hundreds of thousands but millions. Yesterday was just for starters. They want Morsi OUT.
At what point will the military wade in?
And what will Obama say if/when his puppet Morsi is driven out of office? Will he admit that supporting and funding the Muslim Brotherhood was a bad idea and not conducive to establishing democracy?
substitute the word morsi with obama.......
the muslim brotherhood rise to pwoer was engineered by obama inthe white house over a period of 3 years
the plan to destabilize syria ... same
we now support animals who are attacking christians in libya, egypt and syria. beheading franciscan priest. eating people's hearts and using poison gas
