Edward Snowden Issues Statement From Moscow, Slams Obama
Via Wikileaks:
Statement from Edward Snowden in Moscow
One week ago I left Hong Kong after it became clear that my freedom and safety were under threat for revealing the truth. My continued liberty has been owed to the efforts of friends new and old, family, and others who I have never met and probably never will. I trusted them with my life and they returned that trust with a faith in me for which I will always be thankful.
On Thursday, President Obama declared before the world that he would not permit any diplomatic "wheeling and dealing" over my case. Yet now it is being reported that after promising not to do so, the President ordered his Vice President to pressure the leaders of nations from which I have requested protection to deny my asylum petitions.
This kind of deception from a world leader is not justice, and neither is the extralegal penalty of exile. These are the old, bad tools of political aggression. Their purpose is to frighten, not me, but those who would come after me.
For decades the United States of America have been one of the strongest defenders of the human right to seek asylum. Sadly, this right, laid out and voted for by the U.S. in Article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, is now being rejected by the current government of my country. The Obama administration has now adopted the strategy of using citizenship as a weapon. Although I am convicted of nothing, it has unilaterally revoked my passport, leaving me a stateless person. Without any judicial order, the administration now seeks to stop me exercising a basic right. A right that belongs to everybody. The right to seek asylum.
In the end the Obama administration is not afraid of whistleblowers like me, Bradley Manning or Thomas Drake. We are stateless, imprisoned, or powerless. No, the Obama administration is afraid of you. It is afraid of an informed, angry public demanding the constitutional government it was promised — and it should be.
I am unbowed in my convictions and impressed at the efforts taken by so many.

> I have no skin in the game
But you're defending the MSM version of the Snowden story.
" It is afraid of an informed, angry public demanding the constitutional government it was promised — and it should be."
I wouldn't care if somebody attributed that quote to Santa Claus, Bigfoot, or the Easter Bunny. That is one incredibly powerful idea and it needs to be shouted from the hilltops.
It's the IDEA that matters, and that as many people get exposed to it as possible.
exactly.
> It's the IDEA that matters
Beware of ideas being pushed in the mainstream media, no matter how hifalutin' they sound.
Anyone with a half a lick of sense knows, "It is afraid of an informed, angry public".
Hell, the NSA knows that they have to lie to us or we'll get pissed off and might call them names.
Might do more than call them names. Why we might just ... take their budget away.
You're writing some weird stuff.
Are you trolling AOOB?
As far as I'm concerned, he's the only one I've seen in this thread making any sense! (I apologise for missing any others ... I had to stop reading all the gushing hero worship, and 'hope' for a 'change', before I became physically ill).
"Snowden" is a psyop ... pure and simple.
perhaps, yes. though... an "evil" one?
"Snowden" himself, or the op?
If you are referring to "Snowden" himself, then my opinion is that the person interviewed was a CIA actor. The oblique reference to 'Catch-22' is just TOO cute. ;-)
If you are referring to the op, then my opinion is that it was a much cheaper way to inform the masses that "Big Brother is watching YOU!! Shelter in place and eat your peas!" than either printing tens of thousands of posters or buying time on DWTS.
An ancilliary benefit of the op is that both the Administration and Congress have been discredited through their prior and subsequent actions ... making the final takedown of the US all the easier for the AshkeNAZIs. (Note how many in this thread, and in others, are expecting some kind of 'reset' ... as if those executing a deliberate implosion of the financial system in its own footprint don't have an equally well-planned outcome in store. LOL.)
That was Snowden's job: to let you know that you're being watched. He didn't tell you the names of anyone doing it, did he?
nothing has been given no name.
no god from high has been destroyed from intel given.
he stated it himself i will not name names.
a purveyor of building and rehashed system information an ex cia, nsa, israeli us private security firms and he is are hero.
when he tells us what happened in benghazi when he spills the beans on use of battlefield nukes under bush and obama then maybe he will be real.
nothing comes from nothing.

tony soprano is dead the rothschild is the real deal.
AOOB - Prove to me that you're alive.
Same as Zimmerman trial is a contrived MSM circus. Nothing specific to point to but i imagine there has been a whiite man shot by a black man in the interim without any MSM coverage.
You wouldn't know if you didn't watch.
TV is designed to melt your mind.
Turn it off.
How can you claim the MSM is worshipping him, when in fact they are calling him a traitor and demanding that he return home and 'face justice'?
You statement is proof that it's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than open it and remove all doubt.
> people that get sucked into hero worshipping whoever the mainstream is pushing this week.
The MSM is pushing him. A lot of people are engaged in hero worship while the MSM calls him 'traitor'.
But we have yet to see any pictures or even one more video of the guy.

Maybe you should chew on exactly what you're saying, being your out of gum and all.
You have had some good points up to now, but, "They WANT people to react so they can have an excuse to crack down." Not going to happen. Most Americans are not that angry, and would let his death pass as no big deal. These are the same people who have not even stopped to think what happened to Michael Hastings, if they even noticed he died. Add: You are obviously not one of them, as I just caught your addition of Michael Hastings to this conversation.
idiot. They have supreme power.
They need no excuse to crack down.
NO STORY will precede the march into your neighborhood with guns and mass executions. NO excuse will be given. NO explanation. It will happen & no one will talk about it on the news for ANY reason.
> They need no excuse to crack down.
They always need an excuse. Not even the most brazen dictator does anything without a rationale.
what a bunch of crap. You don't conjure up rationale this way.
Besides, they don't need an excuse. They already have one. People are fucking stupid and it;s for our own good.
Before you reminded me of Emmanuel Goldstein I was thinking about a movie I watched the other night that had a character that was supposed to be the opponent but who was actually working on the main character's team. It took me by surprise because I usually guess these things.
You always have to ask WHY? Why would someone create this man/story?
I do know that the media can be told to shut up about national security issues, yet this story has been a big story every day. Why?
The Snowden story is odd. I'll leave it at that.
on this they can not be told:
Glen Greenwald won't drop it, isn't MSM, and if he won't drop it and Snowden keeps doing things or Russia does now, Ecuador, etc., then the MSM is dropped.
I literally mean the public is sheep enough to forget to keep watching them anymore if the hot story is not there. That is something they fear: they can NOT lose the focus of the sheeple or the propaganda machine is DONE.
this one's already gone too far for that. That's like Obama accidentally shooting himself in the balls or the head and it being "just a trick". At some point they've actually fucked up and we've actually exposed them.
Channeling Zach de la Rocha. At least we know what's in Snowden's playlist.

Snowden for President: 2016
..never gona happen. first he could be droned by our nobel prize winning thug. second he has no rights but to obey. he has the sorry bad luck to be whitish in the nazi states of america. start being gay dumkopf... or get a sex change...or wear a sombrero....or wear a hoodie and shoot someone in chicago...i dont know what this guy can do.....the minority use to riot and burn shit down now that its only whitish males , well he can do what we all do...bow dow down to our king
Too much integrity to win corrupt US elections. The president has to be criminal-in-chief and Obama does that so well.
Imagine a better world after a money power reset.
In that case, many things are possible.
If not president, then why not America's ambassador to Russia?
The American citizens' ambassador to Washington DC.
That reminds me of the joke where a black man goes to heaven. St Peter tells him that he must have done something brave to gain entry. The black man answers, "I married a white woman." St Peter replies that he must have done something braver than that. The black man answers, that he married a white woman in Tennessee. St Peter is still not satisfied and tells him that his deed should have been braver. The black man then informs St Peter that he married her in front fo the Ku Klux Klan.
St Peter is amazed and makes him super welcome and in fact arranges a special dinner. While they are eating St Peter asks him how long ago this all happened. The black man looks at him and replies sheepishly, "about 20 minute ago".
So yes, the people of the US do need a champion that is not appointed by government to be able to fend for their rights and to speak openly about their fears, but I am not hopeful that such a government exists anywhere because every government is running out of options , excuses and strategies.
It is highly likely that once the short attention span of the media has moved onto some other story... he will accidentally meet with an unfortunate incident in whatever country he lands up in (like accidentally, brutally cutting his head off whilst shaving, as Blackadder would put it)...
He must have his own speech writer. His statements seem just a bit too polished for a 30 year old tech geek. He maybe smart but guys like that tend to be lacking in the communication department. Very few of them can explain things in concise and non complicated terms to a non-tech person so they might understand it. If they can it is usually because they are better bullshit artists than technical people.
As a "tech geek" (among other things), I don't care for your sloppy big brush.
There are 2 types of tech people in the case of programmers there are those that write code and those that understand how the code works. Usually the later is able to actually explain to a non-tech person what they are doing while the former can't. My opinion based on personal experience dealing with a wide range of people from dumb as nails right on down to off the charts Albert Einstein bright, Y.M.M.V.
If I am wrong explain something technical to this knuckle dragging dumb as nails non-technical person in terms I and the other knuckle draggers can understand to refute my statement.
You fail to grasp the concept there may be many behind the scenes supporting him. Maybe he has a PR person who has a bit more time and luxury of not worrying about being snuffed out. Just sayin!
You're right. My mileage does vary.
Besides, Snowden wasn't a programmer - he was a Systems Administrator. There's a difference between the two. I figured with your vast, personal experience in the field you'd have picked up on that little detail.
'He must have his own speech writer. His statements seem just a bit too polished for a 30 year old tech geek.' ...you got that right! i smell something fishy, he talks way too fast & smooth. (he reminds me of that James Rickards guy, fast talker, almost like he's got a C.I.A. background). now that i don't trust anyone or anything anymore, i smell a set-up. he's a plant, a plant two set up a two-way dialogue, they need an enemy & they created Snowden. He is their excuse ...for what, i'm not that smart. they = the gov't., the system that they will try to herd us towards. but, what do i know, i'm just an old woman who's seen enough, had enough & isn't a ninny anymore.
Just as a counter, if in fact he is in Moscow, locked in a hotel room unable to go out (as has been described in at least one article I have seen) for the last week, he had plenty of time to polish the few paragraphs we see.
lynnybee I'm going to tell you something that will shock you. ... I never had no formal education past 9th grade. OK, a little, but not much. Because I read a lot and tested everything out the lot. <OK, I'm joking ... about the shock you part.>
Think what you want about Snowden, but the fact that he's articulate is not a reason to disbelieve him. It only shows that he's a sharp guy.
Some of us just have good innate skills at communicating. I'm sure he's thought a long time about what to say & how to say it because he literally has nothing else to distract him.
As for "technical" people I disagree completely:
they come in categories.
There's some who intend to keep changing things quicker than can be explained. We call them innovators.
There's some who intend to make cookie-cutter machines & code and may have time to explain, or may not depending on volume they intend to produce / distribute.
Then there's some who appear to have some understanding but lack the motivation or experience to actually do anything. PR, teachers, etc., and not necessarily bullshitters.
Those who are bullshitters trip themselves up in lies & poor explanations easily, often falling to improperly associated analogies & the most pro of bullshitters will fall back on prior experience not as public speakers but as motivational speakers. THOSE are the ones I dismiss right off the bat.
There are plenty of people on ZH (both as contributors and as posters) that I think are equally polished in both thought and speech. I have no doubts that it's possible for Snowden to do this.
While I'm still holding reservations about motives and how "real" Snowden is, the fact that he's calling out the President in such a public way is adding to his credibility. If he's an elaborate psyop, the folks running the show are clearly willing to risk emasculating the executive branch, pissing off our allies, and outing many secrets -- leading to to repeat my thought that either he's he real deal, or there's something so fucked up that they're trying to hide they're willing to sacrifice everything to do it.
I'm really starting to think we might actually have a true hero on our hands, finally. Time will reveal all.
"If he's an elaborate psyop, the folks running the show are clearly willing to risk emasculating the executive branch..."
They put a bullet in JFK's head -- with his wife beside him -- to make the point.
'They' probably imagine themselves as great patriots, they usually do.
Regardless of who Snowden really is, the truth is that the US government, they, are rogue and criminal and at war against the American people. The spying and monitoring is just more evidence of same.
The Four Rs
Rejection: Quit paying, quit obeying.
Revolution: Be prepared.
Retribution: Is there really any place for these sociopaths and criminals in a restored civil and Constitutional society?!
Restoration: Restore the Constitutional republic.
YOU ARE AN IDIOT.
Must be a Tea Party Extremist or a Paul Libertarian.
What the hell does he expect? He embarrased Dear Leader!!!!! You young guns voted that idiot in.
This country's been digging its own grave for decades. What did the respected citizenry of yesterday have to say when Nixon took the US off the gold standard or when we expanded the Federal Gov. year after year?
Edward Snowdon did not do what he did without considering the consequences first. He is a brave man.
He will either be killed, or he will become an important statesman.
There is no middle road for him now. History -- not fate -- leverages small deeds and makes some men great.
Statesman? You mean leader?
Looks to me he's already become one.
O and his handlers are not bright. One tactic to defuse this whole thing would have been to disavow Snowden, continually saying he never had the information he says he does, because he was never entrusted with that information. They would have said he was never trustworthy, and anything he says is a lie, fabricating the government paperwork. Then, simply bring him up on charges of mishandling government paperwork. Thus, Snowden would become an unperson, shunned by the press.
Instead, the actions they took demonstrated the opposite, that they were afraid of Snowden's information, and that his information is accurate.
A government in fear is a dangerous government indeed.
Except that it's nothing but a show, and it has to grip the dumbed-down audience, just like Hollywood.
What has Snowden told us specifically? That the goverment spies on everybody? Big news, or more "reality TV"?
Fair statement, except I believe the "show," in that case, has injured the administration, both abroad and at home. If you noticed, I was relating only that the Admin's response has been a failure.
I also believe the "insider" has at least become noticed by the "silent majority," as well as the Admin's noticeable fear. Putin has rarely gone along with the US plans, and truly does have "the upper hand."
> I believe the "show," in that case, has injured the administration, both abroad and at home.
But it hasn't injured the NSA's ability to spy on us. The people behind Snowden and the NSA want the political machine in America marginalized to make their job of spying on us easier for them.
True enough! Thus, my "fear" statement.
We live in interesting times.
"Change we can beleive in" got that fucking right!
And so the EU is calling out the U.S. for spying on them. What do they think about Mr. Snowden? If they truly believe this is wrong isn't it time for a E.U. country to offer him refuge?
The real dilemma is dealing with the idiotic masses who are ignorant. What right have they to govern when they have been proven inept and incompetent. Why do they exist?
Their existence to this point is the right's basis. Let nature decide on its own how to handle it. Nature will handle it.
Funny,
They said the same about you...
Those who demand freedom at the expense of safety and security deserve something...you know the quote.
Mr. Snowden, may you inspire others. All it ever took was a few good men/women. Thank you.
Gay "spouses" of gay US citizens are now eligible for green cards.

What could possibly go wrong?
On the list of issues facing this nation, that's so far down I can't even see it. Personally, I don't think it even is one. If all heterosexuals who entered this nation illegally were similarly incapable of biological reproduction while illegally residing here, I'd be pleased. Citizenship by birth of the children of illegals is an abuse of the intent of the 14th Amendment.
Their called ANCHOR BABIES.
However, this social issue is just distraction. I could care less what you do in your bedroom! There are folks celebrating that they now get to legally plug each other in the rear. Once again... I don't frigging care bout these insipid issues.... They'll fix themselves by natural selection....kinda like the Darwin awards for social dimwits
The REAL life and death issue is the REAL issue - whether this country remains a beacon of freedom to guide others or we devolve into a cauldron of uncontrolled death and violence.
Or not!
For those who wish for war, but have never been in it, a cautionary reprimand. Once it starts, it will BURN everything!!! The bad blood has accumulated and concentrated too much! The fire will burn hot and fast!!
given the total collapse of all monetary systems that are "official", the revocation of the rule of law & the loss of property by fraud, I'm so glad you brought up this very important issue.
By chance have you seen any of my comments making mention of "weapons-grade Failtonium" ?
.
Seriously, who cares if gays get married? Fuck it, if they want to make themselves as miserable as at least half of the male-female marriages, why not let them.
[Helpful hint for those entering law school: divorce attorneys for gays is probably where the growth will be.]
The worst that could happen would be for people to allow this, along with other hysterically unimportant wedge issues, to divert their attention from the heavy handed crimes emanating from Vichy DC.
Shipping containers full of gays in every port?
"Open the door...GAYS...I smell lavender."
Duplicate...borne of frustration about lack of any real shock in western society... Brazil beckons! Tchau!
I wonder if all this is inspiring or chilling the next generation lf leakers. Maybe someone will write some sort of "How To Leak and Not End Up Like: A) a Vegtable Like Brad Manning or B) A ____ Like Ed Snowden."
For Jerry.
It is not Snowden or those that may follow him who are scared. It is the government and with good reason. When it is too late they will realise that future leaks of information will come from individuals on the inside who will take great care to cover their tracks and who will release their information anonymously or who will secure assylum before making announcements.
Please, if you think anybody in government is afraid of you, me, or Snowden then you haven't been paying attention. Sounds great, but we're exactly where they want us.
Eventually you'll have to risk your life if you want real change, these theatrics are meant to keep you sidelined as if somebody is actually doing something.
What do you think the risk is to Snowden?
Did you first learn of him on your TV?
> Did you first learn of him on your TV?
Hell they won't lie to me,
Not on my own damn TV...
-Willie Nelson
No. I do not have TV in my home.
future leaks of information will come from individuals on the inside...
Now that's Hope I would vote for.
you don't need to take 4 laptops to Moscow to make a political statement.
In a digital age overrun with digital snooping, digital spying, digital evidence, digital rape, digital lies and digital truths -- you might.
Fight back if he ever gets to trial, use jury nullification. Tell teh gubmit to get bent for their unconstitutional and criminal behavior.
This guy is way too smart for Obama and his handlers.
Come on people, have some fun.
If there's one thing that petty and childish "leaders" can't stand its assults on their ego. Some of these kids (Obama is but one of many) simply can't deal with being picked last for kickball and so feel the need to control others. If this involves whole countries then all the bigger the ego boost for them.
Every citizen can think of at least one way to fight back.
Anger builds here in the USA.
I'm not angry, but I am prepared for my government to PISS OFF
GLTA
Team Snowden!!!
Lots of hero talk around here regarding Snowden, but what has he uncovered that everybody didn't already know? It's the government theater's way of breaking the news to you they've been doing more things you won't like.
It's like Assange, supposedly holding all these secrets on Israel but never mentioning any details that a goy of average intelligence could discover on their own if they had the least curiosity. Something stinks to high heaven!
You know why the "hero" talk?
Assange, Manning and Snowden lost their freedom. How many would walk the trail they are walking? They are despised by those they accused. Most look up to him but would run in the other direction as soon as .gov's nose is pointed their way.
There aren't that many out there who would dare to stand in Snowden's shoes. I daresay he would rather be sitting on a beach in Hawaii with his girlfiend than experiencing his fifteen minutes of "fame".
More correspondence by Snowden:
Text of a letter by Edward Snowden to the President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa. Written in Spanish; obtained and translated by the Press Association, London
There are few world leaders who would risk standing for the human rights of an individual against the most powerful government on earth, and the bravery of Ecuador and its people is an example to the world.
I must express my deep respect for your principles and sincere thanks for your government's action in considering my request for political asylum.
The government of the United States of America has built the world's largest system of surveillance. This global system affects every human life touched by technology; recording, analysing, and passing secret judgment over each member of the international public.
It is a grave violation of our universal human rights when a political system perpetuates automatic, pervasive and unwarranted spying against innocent people.
In accordance with this belief, I revealed this programme to my country and the world. While the public has cried out support of my shining a light on this secret system of injustice, the government of the United States of America responded with an extrajudicial man-hunt costing me my family, my freedom to travel and my right to live peacefully without fear of illegal aggression.
As I face this persecution, there has been silence from governments afraid of the United States government and their threats. Ecuador however, rose to stand and defend the human right to seek asylum.
The decisive action of your consul in London, Fidel Narvaez, guaranteed my rights would be protected upon departing Hong Kong – I could never have risked travel without that. Now, as a result, and through the continued support of your government, I remain free and able to publish information that serves the public interest.
No matter how many more days my life contains, I remain dedicated to the fight for justice in this unequal world. If any of those days ahead realise a contribution to the common good, the world will have the principles of Ecuador to thank.
Please accept my gratitude on behalf of your government and the people of the Republic of Ecuador, as well as my great personal admiration of your commitment to doing what is right rather than what is rewarding.
Edward Joseph Snowden.
Fine words, but IMHO wasted on Correa, who himself is no angel and not unknown to abuse human rights.
He might have been better off giving Correa a few ideas on how he can poke Obama in the eye! THAT is what Correa likes doing.
And the problem is? The government reports to no one. It may be shoveled that government reports to voters, but they don't.
Nice try Snowden. Love your spirit.
But Snowden is another pawn that will be erased from the government controlled media in due time.
Poor bastard.
> The government reports to no one.
Political Power reports to the Money Power and has for over 100 years.
Be surprised if this statement airs on the msm in full. I took a gander at all the terrestrial news channels this evening and it bore absolutely no relation to reality whatsoever. There was a huge protest in Joburg against Obama's visit and while tear gas and stun grenades popped, the media reported on "red tie guy" grinning cheerfully behind Obama. Unreal.
Has anyone seen Banksy Moon? You'd think Edward's forced exile and revoked citizenship would be a case to show his weak jawed concern on the contravention of article 15 of the UDHR by the US. Maybe he's busy getting reeducated after his lacklustre support for arming the rebels in Syria.
Anyway, you've got my whole family's support mate. Even my mum loves you. Hang tight.
The "red tie guy" was also featured on UK TV News. Last night he was interviewed live from Cape Town on UK Channel 4 News. He's obviously a faily intelligent person and is studying law in RSA.
But you have to wonder how such a person can be so infatuated with Obama. Does he not follow the daily news? Is he an RSA Obama-wannabe?
I've read that there are a potential 5 million additional Snowdens out there with top security clearances - c'mon people it's time for more of you to step forward to save this once great nation of ours - it willl only take a few more brave souls to get the ball rolling .. . .
Holy shit, Snowden is not going to rescue you. You're fucked and just refuse to admit it. We haven't seen the slightest revolt in Western nations because everybody is too fat and dumbed down. Even Egypt, where they know how to get busy, is trying to replace their last "solution".
A few more whistleblowers isn't going to change the fact you're a frog in boiling water. If you sometimes catch yourself afraid to say something over the inter-web, you're already done, myself included.
Good luck, but nobody is coming to save us.
Here's a coupla links about Edward Snowden posted by someone to another article earlier today which shine some light on his life about 5 years ago in Geneva, during which time he was a regular chatter on an unmoderated arstechnica forum. They make interesting reading, especially the arstechnica link which publishes his actual chat exchanges:

which then links to:

MOAR Snowden? I really liked Cougar_W's comment 3711644. Thank you for that Cougar.
I have been spouting off for a while around here and I am finally so pissed off that I am back in action politically. I know it will not solve the world's problems but it is time to push back and this is one way I can do that. They keep taking a little at time from us so I am turning to fight back now. This bullshit has gone WAY too far. If you are going to play then play to win. I may not be able to physically throw 90 mph fastballs anymore but I just threw a written 107 mph two seam fastball high and tight to the City of.
If everyone else does the same....
7-1-13 UPDATE:
The slow wheels of .gov have been set in motion. I contacted my fellow local MNGOP officers and the reply was to go for it. That means I will enjoy the support of a St Cloud State University Economics professor and former State Representative. The City Council Member I contacted is also a professor at St Cloud State University and a friend of the local MNGOP Executive Committee of which I am an Officer although of the Ron Paul persuasion.
A reply from one of the members of the local MNGOP Executive Committee exclaimed that my letter to the council member which I wrote this morning was "excellent" and that I should submit it for publication to the St Cloud Times. I will give the council member some time to respond before I proceed. Even Mrs. M is behind me on this!
In my recent reply to the local MNGOP I brought up the fact that Milwaukee does not seem to have a problem with tailgating and provided their policies. Here are the policies.

It's part of his job. Now see what happens.
Quite possibly. But this morning (Tues 02 Jul) RT.com are reporting that Snowden has withdrawn his application for asylum in Russia precisely because he is not prepared to accept this condition.

PRISM Leaker Busts NSA and Obama
The source of the NSA PRISM leak has confirmed what some of us already had pieced together from other leads:
Such a whistleblower is exactly what I have been expecting. Whereas, many of us would have done the same thing, we would have been filtered out up front. However, the police state has grown so large, and thus needs so many people, that they cannot filter out every potential whistleblower. Their overreach has backfired on them.
The “conspiracy theorists” were right, and all those who ridiculed them, and who defended the government, the media, and Obama, are on the wrong side of history. For the benefit of future generations, don’t let any progressives or neocons forget that we all know they backed tyranny – just like we never let the KKK forget what they did.
Progressives and neocons have been discredited. They have no excuse because tens of millions of libertarians, Tea Partiers, Constitutionalists, and some conservatives have been warning them for decades. It is true, libertarians and many conservatives are more liberal than liberals!
The source of the leak decided to forfeit his life to expose the NSA and the Obama Administration for the traitorous thugs they are. Therefore, we should risk our own lives to protect him. Unfortunately, it will be impossible to ever know his true identity, or if he is still alive.
Edward Snowden has now claimed to be the source of the leak. Just in case he is the real source of the leak, we owe him safety at any cost, but don’t get caught up in his personality cult. He could just as easily be a plant by the CIA to infiltrate the resistance in a future police state. They CIA and the media could even set him up to become the President some day by building a personality cult around him and by neutralizing his opponents – just like they did for Obama.
The PRISM leaker is the hero, and Obama is the bad guy. He is the patriot, and Obama is the traitor.
If Edward Snowden is the source of the leak, then he has done all he can, and now, as painful as it will be, fixing America is the only path forward (other than starting a new country - let's do both), and the PRISM leak just made that possible.
Do not underestimate the impact of what the PRISM leak has done.
America was the last stand. If we Americans were disarmed, then the 1000 years of global tyranny that would result (until it crumbled from within) will have killed the Soul of Humanity around the globe. Those genes will have become extinct.
Through the PRISM leaker, the Soul of Humanity strikes back!
Now more whistleblowers will try to expose what I describe as the Elites attempting to kill the Soul of Humanity. These Elites were already desperate, and had greatly accelerated their plans under Obama, such as provoking an armed conflict with the American people, and now they will overreach even more in their desperation – which will backfire on them even more.
Their multigenerational efforts could go back underground for a while, but it is more likely they will go for all the marbles this time; and it could thus get very ugly before it gets better because they have the means, the motive, and the psychopathology to precipitate war and genocide unlike anything in history if they think they will come out on top – and they do think they will come out on top. They have been preparing for exactly this kind of end game if necessary. They can precipitate civil wars, class wars, race wars, genocide, economic collapse, world wars, nuclear wars, famine, and pandemics. No cost is too great. Winning the end game is the only thing that matters to them.
Consider why they have recently begun rabid persecution of preppers, gun owners, and gold owners.
Nevertheless, the long term future looks much brighter today because so many people will lose their awe of these Elites and see them for the psychopaths they are. If the Elite cannot stamp out the meme that they are the making the bad stuff happen, then they have permanently lost the end game – and the survival of this meme is the necessary service performed by whistleblowers.
We haven’t had the Elites back on their heals like this since 1776.
Snowden should of written the statement in cursive.
Cursive is no longer taught in schools. Unfortunately, civics is no longer a required course in most schools either. It may have been full of history propaganda, but at least it introduced students to the Bill of Rights.
Forgot my /sarc tag. Obama allegedly was involved in studies of Constitutional Law. Hence the joke about cursive.
http://www.law.uchicago.edu/alumni/magazine/spring09/greenloungetowhitehouse
Does that mean that us old farts that learned cursive can use it like Hebrew to correspond in code with our fellow conspirators?
Here's a good example. Look at this.
1954 8th Grade Civics Test - Could You Pass?

Now adays you don't need to know who they are, just faceless automatons who could care less about preserving the republic. Remember, most of them are enemies of the people....and they get a really good pay check too, so they ain't about to do anything to put that in jeopardy!
They wuz just following orders.... With lotsa vigor in the prosecution of those orders. Meaning...they liked doing it!
Obama is an impotent actor, least concerned about what the people think and driven by his masters.
"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
That goes for Presidents, too.
To be fair, if you look into the Obummer story, he was born and raised into his role. What chance did he have?
He must get lot's of subtle reminders about what happens to those who get out of line.
Like the couple that got into one of his early parties w/o an invitation.
In 1936, Hermann Goring told a group of German industrialists to rearm Germany.
"Only those who broke the law without success would be prosecuted."
The European theater just prior to and during WWII is a favorite subject of mine. Strangely, when viewing any coverage of that on TeeVee, the key involvement of "industrialists" in bringing Hitler to power is in my experience never mentioned. You have to read books to find that fact.
or Bankers
from all over the world
Down with Goldman Sachs and their Nazis or is that Nozi.
I am fully prepared if somebody else geta false flagged.
Stall the Stazi. Nuke the Nazi and long live Roberto Clemente.
If Obama had to go into exile, what country would offer him asylum? I can't think of any.
Maybe Obama's Kenyan half-brother can sublease a portion of his hut..
Word has it Kenyans are claiming him to be USA domestically born and raised
Venezuela gets my vote. I think Chavez slipped him some dap for a reason.
Somewhere in Africa. That's all I can think of...
Kenya or Tamzania!
That's why they are having a meeting about, right?
Snowden is proof; it doesn't take a village, it takes only one man.
SHillaryE is gonna yank your balls off for that one when she's predident.
They call it the "War On Terror". It is actually the War On The American People. You see, ideas and concepts are much easier to understand when they have honest names applied to them.
Dam if it doesn't feel like the marxist communist socialist NWO supporting assholes are getting upset...
The communist is back
His name is Edward Snowden.
This guy is my hero! I want to buy his autograph on ebay.
Yep. Hero!

Good point! Snow'dem. Lets not forget Neal CashNCarry and Bernie Madoff with the money. Coincidence?
I am telling you again that you are all being played here.
MOSCOW — Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier Monday that Snowden would have to stop leaking U.S. secrets if he wanted to be granted asylum in Russia, where Snowden has been hiding out for eight days.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2013/07/01/germany-eu-nsa-snowden/2478625/
I KNOW how BADLY you all want to believe in Ed Snowden. Until I see more evidence that Snowden is actually in Russia, this is just Kabuki theater to me. You are better off believing in yourself and getting off your ass to go to a city council meeting and start fighting back. Myself, I hope that this Snowden guy is real but even if he is, what is that going to accomplish? ZH bloggers, come on here. Cut the lionization act and go to your local .gov meetings. Clog the system up so they can't pass anymore bullshit. Shout them down if need be.
We already know Washington D.C. is a corrupt shithole. What is Snowden going to do to change that? And besides, Snowden just asked you to get off your asses and do something so that his effort is not wasted. If you all really believe in Snowden, then I suggest you act. If I can find the time to do it so can you. Turn their own bullshit around on them. For example, I saw something and I said something to my City Council Member. I AM going to push the issue.
In reality, the only logical answer is for states to start seceding from the union. That mechanism is already in place and the principle of such is ensconced in the Declaration of Independence. If you really want the tree of liberty to burn bright once again you can't rely on just me go after them. I will get shut down if I am alone. I have been at it politically for seven years now via the Ron Paul campaigns. Our efforts have cost me my job and the jobs of everyone else that I know of that was involved in the RP campaigns and I mean everyone because that is how they try to shut you up. What I am going to do now might cost me my job again but I am going in. Yes, it is the real fight club when you stick your neck out and get involved but Snowden did it. Can you?
Do you REALLY believe in what you say you do or are you just fucking around with a keyboard and mouse? All I know is that when I look behind me when I have charged, it has been a pretty thin brigade thus far. STOP being scared of them already!
Comrade, we must speak respectfully of St. Ed or The Church of Snowden will get upset and push the little red arrows in unison.
Then so be it Rowdy Roddy. I have to admit that it has been quite a meme. LRC is playing it for all it is worth. I could really give a shit less about what votes I receive here in ZH. I will change my position when I change my screen name . Jesus Christ, even the Onion figured it out a weeks ago.

How about a new photo of Snowden? http://www.theonion.com/video/nation-demands-new-photograph-of-edward-snowden,32831/
The votes that are going to matter are the ones that come from the City Council members in my endeavor.
People are so desperate for anyone to speak up or take a stand against this criminal organization we call government. We pay these bastards to rob us blind & steal our rights.
Our Founding Fathers left us with the greatest document ever--> called The Constitution. They warned us about the likes of Obama. They even left us with instructions.
History will judge us, how will the story end?
I'm with ya...
I made them cut down that shitty half dead tree in my front yard.
They own the easement , they own the tree.
ON TO WASHINGTON!!!
